Yip and 420SA is getting blamed for allowing this to happen?... Some peeps need to wise up a bit Weed prices aside, how do you look at that PDF and decide "ya this oke looks legit" . Some total random on FB... no one to vouch... the 420SA logo looks all fucked up... prices don't make sense.... every single pic is pulled from the net... eish... One dude's email subject line was "Unlawful business". Seemed a bit ironic6 points

The more known the forum gets, the more often some moron will abuse the logo. Sad but what can you do. Name and shame is all you can. People just need to use some brain an less greed... and they dont lose money to such jerks. You must be a total dumbo to order from such a profile without any background checks. Sorry, at one stage i have no mercy for scammed people... because they too act out of greed to go into such weird deals.5 points

As @Pandy mentioned, profile also looks fake. At least in our country its still a risky game being openly exposed to the public like that. This isn't what we stand for, scaming people is just one of the many reasons why people point fingers at us for what we do, and it really comes down to irresponsible idiots like this guy.4 points

Dudes like him give me (us) a bad name. I grow this plant because I believe in its power to heal and empower people. Not to deal drugs ( you know what I'm getting at). I'm trying to get a legit gig going and man, sooo many dodge cashless dudes full of 'I'll sell your shit'. To be piggy backed like that then have the cheek to sell bud. Hopefully what goes round will find him. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk4 points

So last night I cut down the blunicorn, bananium and the sugarcane (had some nice colour on it). I must make an effort to post some pics of all the other dry bud, gotta take pics though and I suck at taking bud pics - my phone's camera does not make it any easier either. I am considering sending some bud in to be tested and see what sort of potency was achieved with one or two of these plants.3 points

As you water daily, what do you feed? Doesnt looks like N over feed... is a dark green, but not that dark either... and lift your pots! if all your plants are in the same size area and in same size pots, lifting one is fine... but just asuming they are dry, usually leads to a issue sooner or later. I use 22L fabric pots and give 2 liter all 2 days of nutrition solution, mid flower. But i do never water without lifting a pot. A to wet plant will take days to get back. A dry plant 10 mins after watering, she will be back to normal. Ok... i expect the 'dry' plant is not crisp but that takes days. Nets dont make it easy to check the plants in the back.. but you can expect they are same size, look same healthy.. they drink same as the pots you reach. If you tray feed... your floor must be perfectly horizontal.. or doesnt work.3 points

On the left of the 1st picture is Twisted Helix and on the right is Big Buddah Cheese. I happened to pop into Cannabliss store today and tested the Twisted Helix(on the left) I'll take the Buddah Cheese and Grand Daddy Purple to be tested when I get some time. It's really cool being able to pop into a store and have your flower tested and pressed if you want.2 points

look that you use a flash or at least light from behind you/camera. So the sprinkle has something to reflect. Addon And just make a few shots with different angles to the light... one will look super kiff2 points

So here we go.. not sure if I'm early to the party but what the hel.. Will have some space in the tent soon and by the time these girls get flipped they should have the tent to themselves... Grow nitty gritties: 1x1 Mammoth Pro 100 Tent 600w HID Extractor fan and two fans for air flow.. The plan: Will be starting the seeds in a tin with paper towel on top of the decoder. From there straight into Freedom Farms Seed Starter. I Have not used it before and is quite excited to try it out.. After the girls have been Veged to reach the required size, they'll be potted up into 5L pots. Here is where I wil be testing a different soil mix for each.. #1 Will be grown in Freedom Farm Premium Classic & Diotomatious Earth.. #2 Will be grown in FF PC, DE and Super Frass 3# Will be grown in FF PC & DE Mixed with worm castings, Organic Mulch potting soil and extra Perlite.. None of the plants will get anything else. Normal declorinated tap water only. This grow off will determine my soil mix for further grows. It also serves as a bit of a test on the Super Frass and FF Seed Starter.. With these mixes I am sure to have 3 way different results.. To all the contestants, good luck stay safe and above all enjoy.. This is going to be epic..1 point

Good morning mense, I am getting prepped for another round of winter flowering. I took a few snaps last night, inside the veg room. My biggest girls needed topping so I made a couple of clones too. This is my plant food, just chuck down a scoop full every two weeks and that's the feeding taken care of. Half a scoop of gypsum to add calcium sulfate I soaked the plugs overnight and took the cuts before I apply more ferts to the donor plants. I cut near the node, cover the end in hormone and push it into the plug. My winter line up Lid on for a week and a heat mat underneath. New seedlings are Ad hoc x Malawi Topped and fed The ferts will get mixed in at the next watering. Today I am doing a bug spray, I alternate between neem oil and garlic for the pests and moulds. Thanks for looking in, any comments or questions I will try my best to answer. Have a smokey weekend everyone1 point

Who's keen to take part in our Indoor Growoff this year set to kick off late April/Early May? We're still in the planning phase but here's what we can confirm right now: Seeds @Totemic will very generously be sponsoring his fem genetics to all participants this year. You will get 3 x Tortoni Feminised Seeds How to enter We're going to be having a buy in/entry ticket purchase for every entry this year. The entry fee will be around R265-00 and will cover the following: Your fem seeds - No charge Courier Fee - R115-00 Handling/Packaging Fee - R50-00 Competition purse fee - R100-00 (explained below) A primary reason for an entry fee purchase is for commitment. If you've paid in the entry fee you are more likely to take part in the competition. In the past there were plenty of guys who took advantage of the free beans and did not actually take part in the growoff. We're hoping the buy in will rectify that. The ticket purchase will be handled through the 420SA Store. Competition Purse This year I thought it would be a good idea to have a competition purse which gets split into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I will be handling the purse and will keep things 100% transparent. We are still in the process of perfecting the growoff format and I feel that if sponsors aren't willing to jump onboard with big prizes we at least have some decent monies to grow for. Let me know your thoughts on the purse format, yay or nay? If you are interested in taking part in this year's Indoor Growoff we'd like to get an idea of how many of you are keen To sign up please follow this link https://www.420sa.co.za/sign-up/2021-indoor-growoff/1 point

Hi all, some of my plants are displaying clawed leaves but literally only on the canopy. Not sure whether it’s nitrogen toxicity, wind burn or overwatering and would like to someone help identify it. I have been watering every day but by the next day the pot seems to be dry enough to water again. Don’t really want to not water and have the soil dry up completely. my temps do reach 29-30* but not longer than 1-2 hours a day.1 point

I've been receiving a few emails of late about some dude called Alistair Eli or Alistair Nixson (FB profile pictured below). The people who emailed me bought weed from the guy but did not receive their orders and he's gone silent on them. Basically they've been scammed by the guy. He's been posing as a supposed online dealer, distributing a PDF with our logo in it.... so just for the record to any of those who are wondering. He is in no way affiliated with 420SA. We also do not sell cannabis. Don't buy weed from him and don't order weed from some random dude spreading a shitty looking PDF weed menu on Facebook... it's not a particularly wise move1 point

By lifting i mean to feel how heavy they are. Short quick lift, 5 cm.. uhhh nope, to heavy.. or yep, you need some Experience helps.. but you can also just fill a same size pot with dry soil, lift it.. poor the amount in for a feeding, lift again. Now you know top and bottom... you get the feel super quick and is the best indicator i know. Impossible to over water that way. Difference in weight is very easy to feel, takes a few seconds. I do that usually mornings.. but if it is not there yet, evening i feed. Then i have a day off not that i check anyhow next morning.. is a habit1 point

@PromI only feed once a week because my soil is quite rich(or that’s what I think) but yeah I don’t ever lift my pots because of the net. when you mean lift your pots, do you mean that I must feel with my hand whether the bottom is wet? Thank you for advice, I really appreciate it, I’ve changed the timer to go off during the hottest times of the day. I also try to hold back on overwatering, just my concern is that I might lose my microbes by having the soil dry out completely which has probably caused me to overwater. ive been giving the plants 1l water a day with 500ml every second day in the 20l pots. I’ll try to give them 1.5-2l every second to third day.1 point

Can you please make a close up, one main only... i tend to over watering right now. and if i set you on fire for just 5 mins a day, will piss you off. Over 30 is a no go zone, you go over 26, you already hinder terpene and potency production. You need some active cooling when you go over 26.1 point

Umya Cal - mag works well, I have a buddy on international forums that made his own Cal - mag and he's stuff looks really good, the plants I mean the product it self looks very diy. I have not tried it myself. Here's the recipe, you might need to convert it, but for the sakes of sharing here it is1 point

They are pretty normal feeders. The gelato comes through quite dominant, and you won't go wrong treating them like other Gelato lines1 point

Yes I would like to know also. I'm going to try in Hydro and others in soil/soiless hehe Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk1 point

@Totemic never grew that strain... you have us newbies some hints regarding feeding? They are more hungry, not so or rather normal? Looking very much forward to dip into your genetics1 point

So I Chopped the Twisted Helix(1st Pic) and Big Buddah Cheese(no pic) The Big Buddah seems to be the most frosty although the smallest. (2nd Pic) I couldn't help but take taste of the GDP, when you break her up you see the purple inside and get slight sweet scents. (3rd Pic) Jelly Bean just finished week 11. She has 2 more weeks to go but the citrus smells are amazing1 point

Some updates on some of the plants still in the tent... The one Sugarcane I still have going, this one went into flower quite a while after the others. Here is the Bananium, don't think I have posted pics of it in flower yet. How do you guys think it looks in comparison to the Sugarcane? It has not been given the attention it deserves, but very keen to grow it out again and see what it can really do! When I get a chance, I will try take some pics of the bud which is dry and trimmed so you guys can see - will be the Exodus Cheese and LSP next in terms of bud pics.1 point

So these auto's are taking their time to finish flowering, checked the trichomes last night with a microscope and still lots of clear, a little bit of milky but pretty much no amber at all. I will likely look at harvesting them at the end of April, first week of May latest. LSD-25: Pluto Cut: Gelato: OG Kush, I still think it's such a beautiful looking plant:1 point
-
Sorry guys, not much to update on here - just harvesting as plants are maturing. Do not have much left in the tent anymore. Some dry bud pics, I always struggle to take nice bud pics though and these are not the best but hopefully help give you guys an idea. Frost on all 3 is pretty good, particularly the sugarcane (duh) and frosted apricots. Slurricane is also frosty but I feel a tad less than the other two. These are not macro photos, just taken with a cell camera and then cropped. These are also not the biggest buds / colas, just reached into the jar to take out what I could get. I will admit that weight wise, none of these 3 are exceptional yielders but not terrible either. I have had other plants yield less. They also do not produce huge colas, unlike the cheese and LSP which I grew this time around. You can click on the picture to open it and zoom in a bit too.
