  2. Not much to report. Over watering issue sorted, plants have recovered. Canopy is looking interesting, you can really see how the different genetic material performs. Clone selection could have been better, something to work on for the future. This smaller plant in front right is driving me insane. The only solution at this stage is to move it to the back of the class, at least the stupid trays are earning their keep... I put some time aside to try and take some better bud shots of the moms. I managed 15 minutes and then lost interest. Below are two pics of X1, her clones are the plants on the left of the tent. She was my No1 mother selection. Thanks for looking. Negative or positive, your input is valued.

  4. Ran well over 100 of these through last winter outdoors, and the generation expressed very uniform, and powered through the winter, showing a strong resistance to PM. The reveg on the selected phenos didn't go as planned, so doing an indoor selection run this year. Here we go...

  13. Weekly Update What's growing on growmies!! So! Ladies entering their week 3 of flower and Ive stopped f***ing with them for almost a week... OK Maybe just a very minor leave defol here and there, but honestly it's mostly already dead leaves or leaves that look unhealthy there was however a bigger issue at play... THE Lights!!! Yea the lights.... Well if you can recall earlier at the start of this grow diary I said I was going to test 2 lights right? OK, but I didn't say anything about not adding more power Ok so cool, "we bringing in reinforcements" I said to myself .... The problem is I didn't have any spare and you know what that means right Well there I was... looking through all the price lists..."not cool at all" ... I thought to myself. "Do they get these lm301 chips off a rock, thats under the deepest cave some where on a desserted location with no means of getting through the dense jungle by plane" cause LEDS seemed over priced on the market! ofcause that was my own thought and so since its my head, I don't care what people think LED prices should be So anyway going through these lists I came a cross a company that build custom made LEDS, I found this interesting and procced to find out more... Long story short... I decided to get a custom made LED Introducing the Leon200 4 Short It came equipped with powerful LM301Bs chips, Wifi Controller and Light Timer In combination with the lights I already had running I think this would be enough power for this grow OH Yea! I almost forgot the ladies are doing just fine on their week 3 of flower

  14. Great little trend developing here lads. By all means @monkeybar Crazy giveaway to be honest. Really nice vape. Mighty generous of you. I was considering threatening you with removal from this forum unless you gave it to me but I doubt that would remain under wraps for long

  16. Intro Whoever can guess my final yield(wet trimmed) will get a set of 4 of my favorite fem'd strains It's been a while! I've still been growing - just not posting. Firstly must definitely shout out to @Totemic for always having great strains. Basically all my grows are from his stock. Had an amazing bubble berry glue pheno that yielded like crazy and went a beautiful deep purple. I only have a photo of a clone I let flower in it's solo before I knew the pheno was so good (sorry no photos pf it going purple). It made a fat xmas tree nugget, which was kind of the inspiration for this experiment - mind you my hands are 23cm from palm to finger tips so that is like 12cm bud that is around 8cm wide - dont have the weight of it because I forgot to record it in my journals. I thought, why spend months in veg and training when I could do some SOG with much quicker turn arounds - and amazing looking buds?? Growing Areas Flowering chamber will be my Phantom Cabinet, details here: Vegging will be minimal so I will do it in my space buckets (design you can see here): The buckets have done some pretty impressive grows just by themselves - not quite on par with the cab but close enough to be surprising. I now have 2 buckets - I will be using two for the vegging of clones and perhaps a third for the mother. Lighting (thanks @CreX) Lighting Lighting Calculations COBs x Vero 29 SE 3500K Per COB Overall Driver HLG-240H-C2100B lm/w 143 Heatsink (mm) 500x150 Watts 79 237 Fan 92mm 12v umols/J 1.94 Number of Cobs 3 Driverloss 10% FV 37.6 PPF 138 414 Amps 2.1 PPFD 539 1618 DLI (12h) 23 70 I'll be aiming it for 60DLI (late flower) using a lux meter and then doing conversions shown above. Should be around about correct. SOG Setup I drilled into a plastic tray to hold 12 solo cups, just a side note when using a 76mm holesaw on a powerful drill: very easy to break your wrist if you do it wrong. Growing Medium: For medium I will be using FF Classic, but I will be enriching the water (lightly) I use with some NPK to make sure they dont run out of nutes. Nutes and Auto-Watering: For watering I am still busy building the system, but basically the same concept as an octabubbler, except Im going to take a bit of PVC pipe and stick a bunch of 5/6mm irrigation hose connecters into it (12 to be exact) and have each solo cup connected to one. I will be using a pump with a wifi switch to auto water them. I will start with once every 3 days and as the roots develop move the timer to once and even twice a day. (I'll adjust depending on how the soil looks) Nice thing about the cups being elevated is that they will drain freely prevent buildup. Genetics: 6x Bubble Berry Glue (@Totemic) if my clones are ready in time 6x Sugar Cane Deluxe by In House Genetics from seed Concerns Will still be about a month before flower starts at least - probably longer. Want to try get two grows in before October Logic here is that while the plants are in the last 4 weeks of flower I will already have clones growing that will be ready to flip into flower as soon as I harvest the first batch. Yields - no idea so curious to see what you all think!

  17. @PsyCLown Will be using my Phantom Cab as per the linked post - but here are my internals: Internals Depth (mm) 425 Width (mm) 550 Height (mm) 1164 m^2 0.23 m^3 0.27 ft^2 2.52 ft^3 9.61 Haha @Marzcanna thanks, yeah I've run her through a few grows and she's done really well. As big as you can go for a little cabinet. I'd like to add some upgrades this time - want to throw in an IR thermometer to get the canopy temp (also allows me to see when the plants have absorbed as much light for the day as they can - temp spikes around 2-3 degrees at this point), and a nice wideangle cam for timelapse shots

  23. So Brix seems to affect the plants resistance to disease and pest and this can be applied to both organic or synthetic grows via multiple methods. Slight stresses can be introduced in a variety of ways, some of the easier ways are perhaps with some substances which are not really organic or some which are organic and can be sprayed onto the plant or fed to them. There are many other ways as well, even with lighting. Hard to gauge and tell whether it is making a difference or how much of a difference it makes though. I do agree with you though that an organic grow can be a lot more time consuming and doing everything for an organic grow is a lot more effort too. However on the flip side, it can also be done in a very simple manner (think of outdoor plants). Or a proper super soil which is self sufficient. Not easy to achieve and often the results are better with fertilizers (organic or synthetic) being added and fed to the plants as well. Especially with cannabis during flowering. Like @CreX and some other growers, we might use coco and synthetic nutes but we also use a combination of other things which are more commonly found in organic and/or soil grows. I really see not reason why not to as I agree that it does make a difference and leads to happier and healthier plants. With that being said, I am sure there are people doing organic grows who do not use these products though. lol Just because one does not use organic nutes or soil, does not mean they do not use other natural products and organic products. Mycorrhizal fungi and trichoderma are two which I really like to make use of and inoculate my plants with and I feel it does make a difference. Those are just 2, however I know that @CreX has used teas in his hydro with synthetic nutes and has had great results back when he was growing DWC. Microbes can be very beneficial, even if one is growing in coco or hydro and using synthetic nutes.

  24. Yes, although that is the point I am getting at. One can still get super grilled without the carbon dioxide, the higher is different too and I feel the high from a dab is more like the high from vaping. Bong is a bit of a different high but vaping requires a bit more use and sucking on the device and maybe a 2nd bowl to get to similar levels I find.

  25. Its a loooooong lasting cough, that tickles all the way to the back and doesn't subside in a hurry. I just don't see it being feasible to smoke dabs, One hit of dabs and no bong, joint will ever be able to compare obviously. Luckily for me, I tried it once and wont be doing it again. I'm already touching the limits with tolerance. I think its called VOC's like a blanket term - volatile organic compounds, organic but still fuck you up haha.

  28. @PsyCLownyou have actually hit the only 2 gripes I have too with mine. I dont undo that side now, to not wear out that piece of material there at the bottom. And happy that I have only had to pull those drawstrings once, or I'd find that a huge pain. Otherwise, it's the best tent I have ever owned, plus, it's also the only tent I own, but still the best one at it

  30. Good day everyone.... I am a part time grower for self consumption. I have grown indoor and currently my first outdoor. Though I started late...2 off my ladies are at 3 weeks flowering and they are White widow strain and I have other 2 that I have not sexed yet and am not sure what strain they are as I got them from a very old grower in the rural part of Eswatini.....hopefully they Sativa....

  32. Haha, hectic amount of light for that space. Never knew the temps spike once the plants have reached the most light they can absorb for the day - learnt something new Might as well adjust the timer cycle then accordingly too, save some electricity and lifespan on your lights. Keen to see how this turns out, in terms of weight - I have no clue about wet weight as I have never measured wet, although dry weight I am going to guess around 110g dry. Never done a SOG myself with such small pots, so a lot of guess work here with my figure.

  37. Of course it kicks arse, it's a concentrated form. Like imagine doing that much THC and the plant matter that goes with that amount, in that short space and time, and hit. You might not be able to breathe lekker for a while after

  38. I don't actually know, something I have wondered about too. Although I have not had a bong hit in years, vape for me only... With the occasional dab perhaps. Dabs hit hard, how much carbon dioxide is in dab? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  43. Very nice of you bruv. I'd love to get a vape, but TBH, I don't smoke nearly enough to invest in one of them. I hope it finds a happy home
    1 point
  44. I must admit, I do find one needs to vape a bit more compared to a bong or joint. However the amount of bud being used in a vape is often a lot less than one would consume in a joint or bong.

  45. That's very nice of you. I've been looking at possibly investing in one of these, continuous smoking coming with some draw backs. But wondering how effective these things are.

  48. So last night I cut down the blunicorn, bananium and the sugarcane (had some nice colour on it). I must make an effort to post some pics of all the other dry bud, gotta take pics though and I suck at taking bud pics - my phone's camera does not make it any easier either. I am considering sending some bud in to be tested and see what sort of potency was achieved with one or two of these plants.
