Welcome to my grow diary Dare I say this competition should be interesting Seeds in water and to be planted out later today. Loved seeing the dark colours on the seed, very different to what I have usually seen Good luck to all taking part8 points

Gonna go organic. The seedlings are gonna be in a soil with equal parts of coco, EWC and perlite. I prefer using peat moss over coco but am only able to get hold of some next week and the seeds will need to be in soil before then. For veg I'll use the same mix as the seedlings with a few amendments added. Just before the switch I'll be transplanting into my own soil mix which I'll be mixing next week. Cutting it a bit short in terms of allowing the soil enough time to cook but I should be okay.8 points

Alright boys and girls!! I have had a busy birthday weekend for my Daughter, and missed the kickoff by a bit! But, seeds are soaking now in a paper towel and drip of water and will be planted directly into the medium and final pot Hoping that by having no transplant down time I may be able to claw back the almost 48 hour handicap!! High hopes... Or maybe it's just me that's high7 points

So I chopped all the plants down last night. Took a few pics before I did the chop chop though. Gelato - it really looks good now. Has had quite the transformation from veg until now: Pluto Cut, I think this plant actually died - I should have been checking more frequently but have neglected them a bit... So my own fault end of the day. I do not think this will be good bud unfortunately. LSD-25, well, the colour is nice. Frost is lacking a bit. Quite leafy, but I have always wanted to grow a plant with such colouring. Done it now and not sure I would grow this strain again.4 points

quite flat on 24 degrees. The Flower tent vents into the Veg tent (one cycle).. the veg into the germination. When the light is out in the Veg tent, the flower tent is up and shining never gets cold in the Veg tent or Germination tent.4 points

The 2 Tortoni's I popped in March also took quite a while to split open and show tap root. I think they will be happy in the jiffy pellet and probably show some action in 3 to 5 days. Good luck man3 points

Dont stress to much I planted some seeds a couple of weeks ago and had the same thing. They all popped up in the end. It can take 5 to 7 days.3 points

@ThricomeInstituteStudent The first thing i do when the pistils dry up, i stop with the top max... flowering stimulator. @PsyCLown posted the picture... this is how you harvest... thricomes as preferred indicator. Sometimes the plant has other ideas, might have been stunned during flower for to long, and just dies on you. Forces you to harvest. Magnifiers, photo camera with a macro lense, electronic microscope,... at one stage we all take a closer look and decide. The better you know a strain, the less often you have to check it. And sugar leaves dont count... harvest you have to learn and be patient. Look and judge what the thricomes tell you. Early, energizer, late, relaxer... and dont worry, i harvest for over 30 years and still have to force myself to wait.3 points

so, the winelands area can get hot as balls, we've been contemplating a pool for a while now. sadly, the only space we have is where my mother of a San Pedro was standing... so we had to move her.... I think you all know where this is going from here, guess the topic gives it away a bit too tips will be saved for further propagating. my lovely lady lending a helping hand there with the messy bits, I got outa bed and immediately got busy slicing up some medicine, she came waddling after probably 20min later, still in her very sexy satin nighty and coffee in her hand. didn't even hesitate to sit down and get her hands dirty with the messy bits! what a team player, right? once we got going I didn't wana take pics every few minutes or everything would be dirty and sticky as f.ck, so here is the last photo for the day we did 4 doses on the day, left them to dry, here they are. all that is left now is to powder them, cook it and then the ceremony I guess.... ALSO, anyone interested in San Pedro? I am giving away for free2 points

I'm going to copy @Promand vent my flower tent into my veg tent. My flower and veg light cycle should mean there is always something keeping the veg + clone tent warm. Unfortunately that wont help for germination as my flower tent is being used for drying this week. Not that nearly having a bunch of dry buds is ever actually unfortunate... I think I'll use an old fish tank heater in a container under the jiffies for now. Its pretty cold this week and the stress of waiting to see them break the surface after having them in water possibly to long may be to much if they are slow . I don't have heating pads and I'm not sure how much I trust them without temperature control or at the very least some good testing.2 points

Well perhaps @Prom can chime in here a bit as well as he has a lot more experience with autos compared to myself. Pistils are an indicator, however in no way is it an accurate way to tell whether the bud is mature or not. The best way as far as I am concerned is to check the trichomes - you ideally need a microscope or loupe to do it properly. This image should help make it easier to understand what to look for in terms of the trichome colour: Leaves can be an indicator that the plant is busy dieing or getting ready to die, but as far as I am concerned it is not an accurate way to tell whether the bud is mature or not. We do not smoke the leaves, we smoke the bud and the trichomes are what contain the active ingredients we want (THC, CBD and the others). One thing I do want to mention is that when checking the trichomes, you want to check on the bud itself and not the sugar leaves as the trichomes on the sugar leaves mature quicker than the trichomes on the bud. I do not know why, but this has always been the case and if you check on the sugar leaves you may think the bud is ready to be harvested but may not be the case. Ensuring the bud is properly mature is very important as immature bud can lead to some negative side effects which you often want to avoid, such as making one paranoid, negatively affecting REM sleep cycles and leading to you feeling groggy in the morning and a few others too. Although I will admit, with these autoflowers the trichomes are not maturing the same way my photoperiod plants have been which I must admit is a bit odd and confusing - so perhaps @Prom can confirm whether there are any possible differences when it comes to autoflowers.2 points

True, we do not grow for looks but it is part of the package I feel... Just like with food, you want it to look good and look appealing. Same with bud and cannabis IMO. The Pluto cut I feel will be a disappointment as it looks as if the plant died and then remained in the tent under the lights. Also this is the 2nd time I am running some autos. The first it was a Daquari Lime by Dutch Passion. Not sure I will run more auto's again in the near future, but let's see and I am certainly curious as to how these autos will smoke compared to my usual photoperiods. I will give feedback once they have dried and been trimmed and cured for a bit - will post some pics of the bud once dry and cured too.2 points

Something I'm regretting now, you will definitely claw back much more! and more potential growth... I would have but I don't have the space. Nice man! Goodluck!2 points

You can run anything off the Sonoff switchers, however you will need a contractor / relay with the Sonoff for heavy current like a geyser. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

2 of 3 popped and i put em in pots, dome over. Dont have the space in the germination tent for the cam too.. installed in the veg tent, just put light way more up Used 2ml root juice mix to wet the soil. FF green bag. Mixed lunch time and put in the tent to warm up. 24 degrees2 points

One week later, three waterings with a bit more nutes than usual and they are looking a lot greener, bushier and happier. Growth has also returned. Thanks peeps. That will teach me to ignore my plants for work2 points

You take autos more or less before they die. Doesnt look always pretty... but taste wise you should get some great smokes out of those. Pretty plants are nice.. but we grow to smoke. You can be rather happy with your result... for a first time playing with autos, you dont have to hide yourself, that is for sure judge after you smoke the results, the LSD25 might surprise you. I know you will enjoy the Gelato1 point

For veg I use only A and B 1.5A:1B As soon as a flip I start using bloom (MPK) and switch to a ratio of 8.4A:8.4B:1MPK For both veg & boom I also add CalMag and Silicone to the mix Its been a long time since I worked that out, I think it was based on their recommended ratios. So far that worked really well for me. However now that you ask I'll compare to what you are doing1 point

You shouldn't glass seeds longer as 12 hours, enough soaking for sure but after 12 hours.. they start to suffocate and get pissed off or even simply die in that glass. The swimmers do in general better as the sinkers.1 point

And I'm off. Germination plan: little pots, bottom 1/2 Organisoilux, top half 50/50 peat/vermiculite. Beans planted +- 1cm deep. Watered in with mycos and some microbes. Some diy humidity domes and found a spot for them next to a lemon haze auto finishing up in the next couple of weeks. Also moved some to my makeshift flower fridge box while Im sourcing a better plan. Let's see1 point

bless you brother on a not so serious note, on a personal level, I am not as religious as much as I am aware that we should at least acknowledge a higher purpose for ourselves and communities we move in, with that said, we all on the forum probably know cannabis was made illegal for economic reasons, disregarding the plant as a whole and curbing research data to shine a negative light on the matter aside from its recreational use the plant has endless beneficial uses. it can replace soooooo many materials we are currently sucking the earths resources dry to make synthetically. honestly, if you go into research about all the uses of cannabis plants it really doesn't even make sense that there is such a miracle plant out there. which leads me to say the following, if there was any institutionalised way of living, such as any of the million religions out there that claim to be more holy than thou, that is set to benefit the living conditions of all mankind, cannabis would not be illegal and would be part of communal living. the earth aswell as its inhabitants would benefit greatly from more cannabis being planted and used. so, IMHO, spreading cannabis around the community is much closer to "godly work" than one would care to admit, because of the stigma around religion, especially in todays living conditions where we're strayed so far away from the endless provider you guys are doing what should be done1 point
