So ladies and gents, one week later and this is the state of my 3 ladies. All looking healthy, drinking and growing nicely too. The second set of true leaves have just started poking out. I am spraying them with un-PH'd RO water day and night. Just a nice spritz on the soil and inevitably some on the leaves. I have moved them to the flower tent (which is still on veg lighting) for the time being to help with the cold nights we have had. That light is sitting at around 150w right now. Will be beefing it up over the weekend for the other 2 ladies in there. Not sure what to do there as I need to flip to flower in a week or so, so will have to move them out again, but by then they should be bigger. I am honestly just winging it at the moment as with work and everything else my grows are a bit mixd up. No stress though5 points

is from 0800 to 0200 next day. 0200 to 0800 they are dark, I cut the black screen out. I take a picture every minute and speed the result up by factor 3, then you see them move much better. I cut all together at the end.5 points

Update: Day 7 of veg Left one is growing pretty well. Middle one, a bit slower but also ok Right on only has half a true leaf and no additional leaves yet. I'll pot them into bigger fabric pots tomorrow morning. I should have done that today but ran out of time Its pretty cold here at night now. I changed the lighting schedule to be off for 4 hours from midday. That way the lights help keep things warm at night. Currently temps are not going much below 18, max is somewhere around 24. I'll see about extra heating over the weekend. I think the overall lower temperatures are slowing things down a bit.5 points

Sounds far out my man. Kind a like that building on the corner of Bree Street with the red light on the stoep, but you can pay with weed I for sure wouldn't bring my horny girlfriend to your spot before you sort out your spelling4 points

The thing for me was this, I walked into a grow shop in PE, looking to purchase the FF soil in green bags, and saw the bag open and mostly dry. Seeing that bag, I saw plenty coco, and thought to myself, I can make coco at home, way cheaper, so I did. (Same ingredients). Then next time, I bought more for the coco to make a proper living soil, that was breathable like coco, but had the goodness of a soil, and stuff for the Microbes to feast on, so similar to OrgaSoilux actually, bar the Guano and a few things changed out. The grow from start to finish for me is effortless and add water and Microbes, the plants finish up dying, and I have an incredible high and flavorful smoke, every time. Pull the roots out and pop the next in its place and add my goods to the soil top, and round 2, 3, 4 and so on. So happy I dont have to purchase nutrients again and worry about PPM or TDS and even pH. I know my plants are ready, when they have no more leaves left. As below pic4 points

First of all thanks a lot to Motherland Genetics for their good customer service! My order took longer than usual and they compensated by throwing in 2 free seed packs! Stoked The strains: *BLACKCHERRY ICE CREAM (Motherland Genetics) *BUSH CAKE (Bush Hermit) Does anyone have any experience with these strains?3 points

As per the title, lets see your glass smoking paraphernalia. Glass bongs, pipes and rigs are a veteran of cannabis consumption. This thread is to showcase what you have, what you dream of owning and to showcase the local offerings, be it locally produced or supplied by one of the many retailers staking out their part of the greater cannabis industry. This piece was custom made by Praxis Glass for my 40th a few months back. The brief was simple, Sherlock style dry pipe, please take the creative lead. It's quite a leap of faith giving someone creative freedom to produce an item which is meant to mark a point in your life. Praxis smashed it out of the park! BOOM! Fume popping!3 points

I soaked the beans overnight in filtered water. I'm using my preferred germination method on these ladies, jiffy pellets in jiffy pots. the beans were placed roughly 1cm inside the jiffy pellet and covered with Living Organic Soil from Organics Matter SA. I'll be watering them with plain filtered water over the next few days.3 points

Well that's what its all about. 30l in a bag, 1 has way more than the other. If you putting way more in a soil, it has the advantage of doing better by default. But where redundancy equals catastrophe, maybe that knowledge comes with a price, or are they designed that way... to chuck out after, need for nutritional supplementation, allows adequate buffering for best synergy (so even less than less) Noice margins, but big bags lol.3 points

Fosho bro. I'm a man of my word and told the guy(don't know his name) that i will send some positive vibes for his business. Will probably only grow them when spring arrives but will definitely log the grow2 points

I haven't grown either of those, but do start a log when you pop those beans, so we can all follow along, and give the breeders the exposure2 points

You surely sound like you have a lot of interesting stories to tell around a camp fire...Drop us a link to your accommodation bro.2 points

I've been having this problem too @420SA What I have found is that since the last theme update, the site forces the orientation of an uploaded image according to the original metadata of the image. So if say you have screen rotation "off" on your cellphone, and take a horizontal photo while the phone thinks it's taking a vertical photo, even after rotating the image in Gallery it will refuse to be uploaded vertically, so the image is sideways like yours. How I've gotten around it is to change the metadata of the image through an image design program such as Gimp. That seems to sort it, but it's a long winded effort.2 points

hovers a bit the last days.. 19-24 degrees. I have the gas heater running short in the morning to heat the flat up when the flower tent goes dark. And don't worry about the grow speed I would call myself a Auto Specialist.. I am fast with seeds.. but totally suck mainlining.. as I haven't really done that in the last years. My plants can suddenly stand very still for a longer time...2 points

Looking good. My slowest one caught up fast and showed second true leaves first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

There are factors and one can debate plenty on this actually. Like this for example... The soil lets the roots grow easy, but now you need nutrients and that cost and also know what you doing there too.2 points
-
If less amendments cost you more, but ultimately gain you more. I think you better off paying more and winning with less.2 points
-
IMO the ultimate goal for soil is to have a large and deep enough single bed that you can reamend and occasionally top-up with more soil whenever plants/roots are removed, no nutrients at all. Getting this right can be a challenge if doing it DIY, and although ultimately saves you the most in the end, it can also end terribly. So I hope the Orgasoilux can do the job because that would be super great. In the past with packed soil that can take you from seed to harvest, they've either been too hot for seedlings or needed like a little molasses just at the end just to finish the plants off. Hence I think why now most would try the option of simply purchasing a soil that holds enough moisture, drains well and allows the roots to breath easily, and then using a good nutrient range to facilitate the rest, especially first timers.2 points

Time to open the box. My editing seems to be pic first then the writing. The parcel got delivered to a family member due to logistics and unfortunately I cannot say if it was courier damaged or after. Wherever or however it got damaged has exposed a weak point in the packaging which I'm sure @Light It Up will look into and rectify. I'm hoping all's OK inside. Once opened there is a thick layer of bubble wrap. Feeling better.Next is a layer of the electronic parts of the light all snug in bubble wrap some of which I removed to take the photo. Sorry about the bits and pieces of info, duty calls, I'll be back shortly.2 points

Should price be factored into the equation? FF seems to be the most expensive whilst having the least amount of amendments in it? ive only used orgasoilux so my input is rather irrelevant in the sense of comparing it to other soil mixes. I’ve only used +- 500ml of my dirty hand inc nutes after 10 plants(4 harvested + 6 at week 5 of flower). ive also purchased their elemental blend to re-use the soil which saves me from buying soil for every grow. I’ve even added it to my local nurseries potting soil(yet to use it) but in theory should work out. so for me, orgasoilux is a winner as it packed with nutrients that can take you from seed to harvest without nutrients and is the R20 cheaper than FF which is probably the considered the best soil mix in SA. So in the long run, you saving money on rebuying soil and nutrients which can be used on seeds and equipment.2 points

They have been without the domes for a few days , with this weather in CPT I didn't need to water in the last 2 days. They under QB320 (4000K) thats at 200w and they about 60cm from light , had a bit of a stretch and settling in now Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk2 points

Not completely correct, your Microbes aren't only on the top layer, and you want some to feel threatened, and breed and lay eggs, forcing them to multiply. You can also drown them with too much water, and that is also why you have coco, and perlite, as they hold water and air, and a place for the Microbes to live and hide.1 point

Let's hope he or someone here can help you, otherwise just plant and let be. That is so awesome of them hey1 point

Is just confusing when is different written on the bag. Had a quick search.. yes, you find both versions for the green bag somebody needs to tell FF to update their product name depending on what they write on the bag. Love it...1 point

you can try extract the oils with a butane extraction... but i dont think it will be so nice even then... i wouldnt make any tinctures or infuse anything with that plant that died. i rate you stick around the site, and glean as much info as you can about how to grow some fire, and then apply what you learn with you next grow. in 10 months, you should be able to grow a few kilos outdoor with the right garden space or in 10 months in pots, you should be able to get close to a kilo outdoors. or in 10 months you could harvest a few kilos indoor if you really apply yourself. this community can and will help you grow the best you can...as long as you want the help1 point

Ok so I planted the seeds into a small tray. Soil used is Freedom Farms Fine Gremination Mix. Thanks to @GreenGrow Garden Route Seeds all sunk to the bottom. Planted about 1cm deep. Popped the tray into my humidity dome for some extra heat. Seeds may take a day or 2 longer to germinate as it is quite cold. Will get the heat mat going again this afternoon.1 point
