  5. Update: Day 12 of veg Theme of the week: DIY I planted the jiffies into coco/perlite on Saturday morning. My small fabric pots are a bit too shallow so I've opted to use polystyrene cups for now (fancy right?). I'll move to 4l fabric pots once they outgrow the cups. The seedlings got a bit leggy before I moved them into the veg tent. So I've added supports using wooden teaspoons and some wool (more fancy!) Growth is pretty good at the moment. I'm watering with a 30% strength fertilizer mix and slowly working up to full veg strength. Lights are about 50cm above the plants and somewhere around 50% strength. I'm increasing brightness a bit every few days. I'l considering lowering the lights a bit once I'm at 100% and the plants still look happy. I've quite creatively named the plants T1, T2 and T3 T1 T2 T3 So far so good :)

  9. All 3 little guys sank so this morning I dipped them in 401 and put them into peat pellets. I set put my 3D printer's heated bed on to 30deg and put my dome on top, hoping to get a temp of +/-25-27deg in the dome, so I'll adjust every now and then as needed.

  10. I agree with @CreX tying the stems with string or laces can be problematic. You could be restricting growth. Rather use plant ties if you must and leave some space for the stem to expand

  13. Hi folks. So this weekend saw the transplant of the clone ladies from 15cm to 20cm pots. The root systems looked super happy and healthy with a nice shade of white. Mind the droopy leaves they got a feed straight after the transplant.. I will probably flip to flower this coming weekend as the height of the ladies should be sufficient enough to ensure nice big and tall main colas. Will post some close up pics with my first post flip post

  16. That is @PippinTookpost, to add the details to the original post, as to how he waters. Crex, is right though, its a little bit of overwatering. Your fan, remove the box under it, and have it blowing through the canopy of the plant. Both will fix that.

  17. only a pleasure and bless you too kind Sir damn boi, 6 years isn't all that long either hey! I am on my 4th "real" grow, started gathering indoor grow equipment beginning of 2019, had a harvest in that year and another 2 in 2020 then took a break cause I moved, still had plants around, didn't do anything serious though. been enjoying weed since 2008 and got into horticulture and permaculture at a young age, so been growing a few plants here and there. always outdoor. never took it serious, had one big harvest I can remember. then just few nice plants, the spontaneous 20g here and there planning my first "real" outdoor grow this coming season. only 2/3 potted plants, but will be a 60L and a 90L pot. testing the waters before diving in hahah soooo, I would comfortably say 1 year that I been "taking it serious" also owe a lot to the forum, besides learning about growing weed and how to understand the plant better , I literally built a working LED grow light. Few years ago I wouldn't even think of wiring up a wall plug. I am much more meticulous about caring for my plants and having things organised in my grow space that it's somehow become a part of my daily routine and shit, cause I am constantly thinking bout my plants and what I can do to improve, so when I get ideas and can't apply them yet cause I am at work or whatever it gives me a bit of OCD and then I start jittering if I don't get busy physically and usually that helps me get more work done faster and I think in more logical about how I do things and place things in general and with time management. I already seen this improving by itself over the years of caring and working with nature, but in the last year I have grown a lot too, gained soooo much confidence in my work and it seems to show. and that is thanks to peeps like you who's just hyper enthusiastic about what they do, fucking fire for reals brother

  18. I agree, 2 or 3 more weeks and should be good. Doesn't look bad and flipping now will work, however I feel the extra wait and veg time will be beneficial. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  19. Ok nice. I'd personally wait a little longer to allow the clones to establish themselves in the bigger pots and for the plants in the fabric pots to gain a bit more size. That will help lead to better yields too I feel. Bigger roots, bigger plants, bigger fruits. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  20. Quick Garden Update. The girls are at start of week 6 and not looking too bad. But I thought the time for experimenting and reviewing was over and so it was time to remove the burples that weren't too bad until now but honestly..they have served their purpose. it was time to bring out the Mars Hydro SP to help out the Leon 200 finish up this grow

  29. i would stop with the H202 sprays TBH, at most it is more of a preventative measure - when you can you should get yourself some of the products @The_StonedTrooper mentioned earlier, a typical arsenal would include pyrol, neem oil, copper soap, AQSF, h202, and then add various products for specific goggas if you need to oof,i thought they were a little earlier in flower... if your pm isnt bad...i would maybe go with a 30% solution of the stuff anyways to keep it at bay, and then going forward, treat them in veg and you wont suffer in flower.

  33. Its looking great already, and I'm sure they will turn out just perfect if you flip next week or so. But when plants become more established in the root zone, they essentially end up growing/vegging faster. Veg another 2/3 more weeks and the growth will be surprising. Also the small clones that you going to flower in there too with the other plants, I like that Idea, wondering if there is a way to separate them big pots one side and clones another and possibly elevated if necessary, just an option, then the bigger plants wont shade them heavily. Otherwise, looking great brother flip now or later! Still gna be a banger!

  34. Yes sir that will be the idea to increase the yield for the tent. And also my mobility will be a bit of a problem for the next few weeks so don't want to be moving pots around. Hopefully with the clones I can get to that 300g or more again.

  38. Update: Day 7 of veg Left one is growing pretty well. Middle one, a bit slower but also ok Right on only has half a true leaf and no additional leaves yet. I'll pot them into bigger fabric pots tomorrow morning. I should have done that today but ran out of time Its pretty cold here at night now. I changed the lighting schedule to be off for 4 hours from midday. That way the lights help keep things warm at night. Currently temps are not going much below 18, max is somewhere around 24. I'll see about extra heating over the weekend. I think the overall lower temperatures are slowing things down a bit.

  40. Hi administrators, my humblest apologies for the late update, I was going to do it two days ago (15/05/2021) when my seeds sprouted but I wanted more development before I updated – no excuses though! Here is my update from last time: *Day #2 (10/05/2021): Checked seeds for development. Also, changed water in shot glass. *Day #3 (11/05/2021): Checked seeds for development. One seed in shot glass split and tap root started developing. I took out the split seed and transplanted into a new container with soil (Black square pot). No progress on other two seeds. *Day #4 (12/05/2021): Observed two pots/containers for development (yoghurt tub and black pot). No new development in both containers, shot glass also had no new development. I changed water in the shot glass. *Day #5 (13/05/2021): Observed seeds for new development. No new development. Watered two pots (soil was getting dry) and changed water in shot glass. *Day #6 (14/05/2021): Checked pots and shot glass for new development. Noticed seedlings in both black pot and yoghurt tub are pushing towards the surface, moving towards the light, this is a good development for me. No new development in shot glass, changed water. *Day #7 (15/05/2021): Observed shot glass for new development. Noticed that the seed split and tap root is beginning to develop - I am planning on leaving this seed in the shot glass for 2-3 days before transplanting into a new pot/container, I will still be changing the water daily. *Day #8 (16/05/2021): Observed containers and shot glass for development. In shot glass, the seedling tap root is developing nicely, I am still planning on transplanting into new container within 2-3 days. I noticed that the seedling i the small yoghurt tub is developing fast and might get root bound soon/outgrow the small container so I am transplanting during dark cycle into a larger pot - round orange pot. The black pot will need to be transplanted into a larger pot in 3-7 days - however the plant first needs to develop more leaves and get stronger before I transplant (stressful on the seedling/plant). *Day #9 (17/05/2021): Just observed seedlings development, watered pots and changed water in shot glass. #NB: I'm using a CFL light (6000k 7W) for my seedlings and start of veg. I will later switch to stronger lights (2x LUMii T5 6400k 24W bulbs) but I was advised that these lights are great for seedlings because they are less harsh on the seedlings - light intensity and spectrum. Before flowering stage I will be getting a new light (LED Full Spectrum Light, 3000k 120W) to optimize the light received by plants during the bloom/flowering stage. Disclaimer: I am sort of new to the indoor grow setup but I've been wanting to start an Indoor grow for years now, I already did all my research in the past and currently, now it's just time to practice what I learnt.

  41. Hey man appreciate the feedback [emoji111][emoji120] Yeah the flags is purely for the eyes - the Ferrari one is just better looking than the black side of panda film which is hanging down the front. The flag is attached to the panda film with clothes pegs. The pegs are useful to hold the film+flag combo out of the way. Lekker, I will make that ceiling shine with some mylar. I won't be able to shift the ceiling higher without some tools I don't own [emoji23] I think/hope I'm only going to need about 4/5 weeks max but these 3 for the comp will take preference in the tent if this environment is not suitable for them anymore. The 3 plants I have flowering in the tent can finish outside if it gets to that. Lights have been cranked up a bit [emoji123] I get what you mean - any stretching is going to hurt me in this environment [emoji108] Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

  42. Technically If it's barely tied and is just supporting the stem it should be fine but I agree with @CreX& @420SAit's best to use garden ties or try not to tie seedlings at all by supplying a better light that will limit your stretch
