Week 1 / Day 5 Mini Update There is a clear front runner already showing off her wares. The other 2 are right behind her. I have them in the tent now and it seems to be going smoothly so far..

Repotted the babies in 3l pots. Added some Mycorrhizal Fungi and Trichoderma. Will see how they take it over the next couple of days.

Ladies are starting to gain ground! They not as happy as the other 2 seedlings in the tote... Definitely happier than that poor cutting that I thought was ready to come out the Dome ... Lol its all but vrekked.. exciting change on the way if the tote continues as it is

Each pack has 8 gummies, 25mg a gummy, they actually have a gummy texture unlike most edible gummies you buy, and there are 3 different flavors in the pack, Strawberry, Cherry & Raspberry.

We are willing to look into this if you would provide any legal documents pertaining to your strains and the legitimacy of your claim that we are being purposefully dishonest. Thank you, ______________ Aweful response in my opinion, as there is no way the cross, its description are accidental or coincidence. Their legal posture is a quandry, since providing proof in this matter has to take it to the labs for analysis... I have been working on a solution to this problem though, and soon Totemic seeds will be available from an authorized distributor state side, so that those peeps can get the benefit from getting the real deal from the real breeder, at a fraction of the price these sunwest genetics okes are trying to charge.

So far the Seed Starter is not dissapointing... These three will be potted up for the vege further.. Planned for Tuesday.. Then from there into a final pot for flower.. Well done to everyone.. Seems to be a good one thus far..

They were thirsty. I read somewhere the seed has all it needs to get through the first couple of weeks food/nutrient wise. Seeing that I plant directly into a 10l pot I try and do as little as possible and let the plant tell me when it's thirsty. Sunday will be day 1 of veg stage and flip to flower 29 june working on 70 day flower time. So from Sunday everything changes. I usually water round the edge of the pot mainly using the knuckle test which should be every 3-4 days in my cabinet. I do prefer under watering than to much. Feeding I'm not sure about. Got a bottle of Seagrow sitting on the shelf ???? Training I've got a week or two to see if I can learn an easy method watching other grows. Probably gonna stick with bog standard LST. With the legal changes happening world wide one after the other, the seed market is going to completely change over the next few years, and if breeders aren't adapting or scaling to meet ever increasing demand for affordable quality seed, then they may not be around for long.

As long as you see dark soil, there is no reason to water at all As you want a dry cycle, also for the youngsters, how much you give is key.. doesn't really matter where moisture spreads the deeper you go in the pot.

Well well, the buds are in the jar and I will have a tester over the weekend. All in all I am quite happy with the outcome.. Can not wait to start the F2s.. Have some of the reject seeds germinating as a test and they will be grown outside..

My avocado tech is to cut a avo in half, take out seed, put avo side down on top of soil. End. *No mushing involved here

Good Morning and Welcome to the last day of Week 3 No feeding, but I lowered the light again a bit ^^ I leave it here for now. Running on 561-570 PAR Picture hit a bit the low reading ^^ Distance is now 60cm Distance issue is nice visible here.. is very hard to hang the correct distance in a multi lamp setup. The QB would be way lower, if only one would be active inside the tent. I think is the reason why my readings for flower were so much off. Even I tested them single in a empty tent. Depending on light configuration 600 Watt lights have very different hanging distances. And the LUX meters I tested on my phone had up to 20% different results.. then you can also just guess. 100cm hanging distance or 80cm.. is a word. Video 27 - 28 May

Try water a donut shape around rather than the base alone. A donut shape will allow the roots too run outwards and seek water, currently they don't stray far out because they don't need to

Day 6: All three ladies looking good, with no complaints. I'm still only feeding them with plain filtered water when I notice the medium drying on the surface. I'll take them outside tomorrow to take better pictures. I have to get myself a humidifier to try up the RH in the tent. I struggle with that in winter being in JHB.

Yeah man, you'll never see me register my crosses for plant rights... I want to share my stuff not protect it, or stop other people from growing them out, and working them further. I fully understand and my comment was not campaigned at withholding your strains from the world, but more of protection from people using your goodwill to generate income for your hard work, also protection in the sense that your cross name and business can get damaged from poor imitations. plant variety rights does not prevent sharing but will require permission from the holder to ‘work them further’ as you say. Which I see in the industry by means of referencing the breeders of mother plants. I’m not sure how often plant variety rights are requested in the industry but given that some breeders give credit to previous breeders shows it is present or at least in sense of morality(give credit where it’s due). thought this thread was missing a legal POV

It would just be a shame if someone bought those seeds expecting strong Thai sativa influence as I've bred in, and only getting a GSC that has been renamed. But this situation has reminded me of the importance of test data, and something that will become a norm with my breeding practices. The science is becoming accessible and I'll be using it

just remember that a human can live off their own body fat for over 50 days!! doesnt mean its wise to go without food for that long. same with plants and seedlings... just because they can, doesnt mean they should. i would give a very light feed mix for them.

Whatever the case, doesn't matter much... If they actually have the right genetics there and it's mine, I hope they work magic with their line

All I hear is, Yes, we got your seeds from a local guy, and now we have our own team breeding them here, from those seeds bought (or the previous grow off perhaps)? And there isn't anything you can do about it, legal jargon. That reply on it's own, screams guilt

Geez, what a long thread. Have not read all of it, but coco is king. Simple as that. @Dookie69 I have never used autopots or taken a look, I have a rough idea as to how they work. Not sure why you'd want to flush though? However nutrient build up is something you want to avoid, I never flush my plants in coco and I always feed with nutes and not until run off because it is messy and I do not find I have a need to do so. What I do to try help tame the build up of nutes over time is I reduce the strength of the nutes I feed and slowly reduce it slightly throughout flower - in veg I do not do this as the plants are not in veg for long anyways and EC in veg isn't as high as EC in flower. As for never let coco dry out, well, you can let it dry out but ideally you never want any medium to dry out - be it soil or coco. With that being said, dry coco is easier to rehydrate compared to dry soil. Dry medium with roots in that section of medium, if it stays dry for long enough I think the roots would die off and in essence reduces the volume of medium you have which the plant is and can actually make use of. Freedom Farms F1 has amendments in it as well, it's not just pure coco with perlite. Next time perhaps give a pure coco and perlite mixture a try and see how it compares, as then the only nutes the plants are getting is from the nutes you are feeding it. Bioleaf is pretty good and well priced compared to the other imported brands and very convenient as it comes ready prepared and mixed in a 60L bag. I believe it is buffered as well, I have started using Bioleaf and do not buffer and my plants are happy. Also my growing method isn't true fertigation, as I use the Blumat carrots - so the coco is hydrated to a certain point and only once it has dried out past a certain point. In veg I typically water by hand as I have never bothered to setup automatic watering as I have often had veg plants in different stages in my veg tent and I typically do not feed newly rooted cuttings with my normal veg strength nutes. I prefer to start them on a lower EC.

I'm referring to stem area, it seems like Dave is focusing on watering the stem whereas it would be a bit more effective if the entire pot got watered. -Donut shape allows the roots to grow outwards. Hope my crude drawing explains a bit better.

Gas burners are used very often.. other source is dry ice. But the big bottle tanks are in general the way to go.. if you run a CO2 setup.. you also care about how easy you swap your tanks. Do a calculation of your sugar consumption. I got to the point where I decided to leave CO2 totally out for home growing, to much hassle over all. As soon as you use CO2, you need to increase your light.. what makes more heat.. needs more AC.. commercial yes.. but just not worth the effort for the usual home grower.

Haha, I get you. Mg and Ca I've had issues with, adjusted my amendments on new batches and problem went away-easy. Re-amending old soil, I go in at 50%. There are just sooo many different soils on the market, each with different mixes and amendments. There cant be just one(singular) re-amendment solution??? Thats a lot of variables. Unless you have the soils tested every time before planting and after harvesting and re-amend accordingly. But not every strain uses or feeds the same either.... I dont think there is a singular solution amendment wise, thats why a knowledgable and experienced grower who can read and react to the requirments of the plant is the best combination to mitigate the risks.

Thats one of the reasons I like mixing my own, I can adjust the amendments to suit. If they dont state what and how much is in the soil to start with, you going to have hard time. Only other way is to keep a close on your plants and what they tell you.

They were made in the backyard by a mate, came in a brown paper bag, tasted delicious, even better after being in the fridge. How long do gummies last in your experience? I met a guy day before yesterday who makes custom silicone moulds if you are interested.

The only big seed bank selling total crap and me boycotting it, is Canadian. Pacific Seed Bank.. total joke.. they sell crap by default, don't touch them. The seed strains are not what you get... got 3 strains, 2 planted, both don't match what I actually ordered. The Medical seeds have more THC content then CBD.. as said.. easy ordering seeds. If you do not know the seed bank, read up. Check Redit what people say.. you get a warning.. stay away! You just waste your hard earned money on SCAMMERS. Is like down here, there are also people scamming others over seeds... I would say Sunwest are on the same track. A seed bank to warn people and simply ignore them.. name and shame is all we can do. Rest, I wouldn't even bother...

Thanks. Yeah im definitely keen to compare EHG vs HORTIMIX, and then COCO vs DWC. Never done something like this before but it will definitely go along way in answering what nutrients to stick to and what method to use going into the future

You're right bud. The tents are hitting a steady 24 to 25C with lights on which I can't complain about. 40% RH I used to have big challenges where I used to stay (Nelspruit) which actually put me off growing when I was living there. In summer a tent would hit 40 sometimes I kid you not. As a result, fluffy bud... AC was out of the question. I've now moved up the hill to White River this year which is a good 4 to 5 degrees colder than Nelspruit at any given time. So I may even be okay in summer, we'll see.

About ready to replant yet? They doing very good!

All 3 little guys sank so this morning I dipped them in 401 and put them into peat pellets. I set put my 3D printer's heated bed on to 30deg and put my dome on top, hoping to get a temp of +/-25-27deg in the dome, so I'll adjust every now and then as needed.

Gave budbuddies.co.za a once over, they very new. Facebook page isn't even setup. Guys looks young. They would probably honour your order. The bar is set so low now for local seedbanks. I myself would go buy through GSR, Biltong and Buds, Overgrow or Marijuanaseeds, depending on what strain I'm out to get.
