  1. Last minute entry. Amazing colours on my strawberry pie before chop today. Tried the 48hours darkness and think it worked in terms of colours and trichomes Edit: no filters used on this girl. Open picture to experience it’s full glory

  2. OK, Update, should be week 5 day 1 (to early to think straight ) Tarryn got a FIM.. hope I hit the right spots.. like usual ^^ Had 2 load shedding sessions yesterday, one today. 16-18.30 Sisa got a close shave, will try a mainlining.. quick one And I found out why I have no video.. the cams OS crashed and stayed on record mode.. without recording. Had 3 empty files on the cam and gave me a face palm, when I figured out why the cam says empty battery, even it hangs on power 24/7. Took the battery out for a cold boot and the cam is working again. Is a first it did that..

  4. Update time, well not much going on. I have started training #1 for mainlining. #2 I have topped #3 I am not doing anything to. I will just leave her to do her thing and see how she grows without any interference. All in all they are all healthy. I did spray all with a baking soda and water solution. Just as a safety sake for molds. But with low temps and high humidity. Rather safe than sorry.

  5. I dont really know what they will do. I am just growing as many budsites as possible with this short veg time we have. I normally like ti veg for 8 weeks and flower for 10 to 11 weeks.

  6. I only topped the plant above the node. it did not self top. But never the less it is an interesting plant. 4 branches coming out of the 2nd node and 3 branches out of the 3rd node. I topped it as soon as I could see the new growth. Sprayed with some Kelpak this morning

  7. Hey man, My history with plant breeding predates breeding cannabis, and I used to work with pepper plants. I started growing cannabis 2010, and by 2012 started tinkering with breeding, with limited success, as I was working with landrace bag seeds. By end 2013 though I had settled very seriously into breeding my Chocolope NL line, and spent a few years just working that one line, really getting to know it. I made a few other crosses in that time too, but they never got the attention the CNL did. Started out crossing the CNL line in 2018. Also started making feminized seeds in 2018, and applying what I've learnt over the years to other strains. Last year I decided that im taking it to another challenging level, to create a few poly hybrids to navigate what those lines will bring to possible backcrosses onto both my CNL and Chocolate Gelato lines.

  9. Not something I've been monitoring but it does make sense that the bigger the area that can photosynthesis the quicker the perceived growth would be

  10. Plant roots love being wet, its when the oxygen runs out when trouble starts. My advise is to transplant into a fabric pot now with organilux or freedom farms soil. Its already in shock but they can be saved. Your just going to lose a week or two. Had similar issues with the 2 pineapple expresses and 9 days later they seem to be doing ok. Good luck buddy.

  11. Hey @Totemic hope all is well your side! I would like to quickly guage a few personal stances and hopefully give myself and others some motivation. since before growing cannabis and other stuff I have always been intrigued by breeding for genetic isolation, seeing what you doing here and being able to follow along is like mining for charcoal for years and one day you lift the pickaxe and boom there's the shiney nugget of gold that just happens upon my way! really appreciate your time and effort man! So, if you don't mind me asking, here's what I would like to know. How long have you been doing this? When did you start taking cannabis growing serious and pushing your first harvest? How long did it take you to go from just growing to breeding? a guy I know been growing for 13 years and only now starting to think about breeding. he has done a few small breeding projects, but nothing really to write home about.

  12. Quite right. This may be a mutation of sort, but more than likely damage of some sort to the growing tip. Whorled phylotaxy is a genetic mutation and is present in the embryo already, and will develop the whorl from the cotyledon leaves onwards.

  13. So at last today I could give the girls some much needed TLC. They were potted up in FF PC mixed with some Diotomatious earth.. When potting up to the final pot, before flipping, I will mix some Super Frass to #3 none to #1 and my own mix in #2.. They a bit behind but I am sure they'll give their best in the week to come.. Nice root development..

  15. I have since fed once with 1ml per litre of Grow, Micro (soft) and Bloom respectively. This is now the full dose as recommended on the bottle. I have also continued to add some extra silicon at a strength of 6% SiO2 at a dose of 0.5ml per litre. I have not taken any leaves or even the cotyledons off yet. I am now eyeing when to repot to the final 17L container and also when to do the first topping to begin the mainline. Might actually top as soon as tomorrow or the next day.

  16. Does cotyledon size indicate the potential genetic strength/weakness in a plant? I noticed that the plants with bigger cotyledons tend to be stronger and grow more vigorously than those with smaller cotyledons. Of course there are many other factors that determine above mentioned but if the cotyledons is an early indicator of plant potential then we can save ourselves a lot of time and money. @Totemic any input or am i grabbing something out of thin air?

  18. Morning guys and gals.. So I counted 15 showing face and a few pushing soil.. Considerring a winter mini pheno hunt as a test.. Keep in mind that these where the seeds I rejected.. So just a test to see what Expressions I get, how they handle the cold and high RH. This is definitely not a over night exercise.. I have a lot of respect for breeders getting stable strains and uniform expressions.. I believe it takes passion and a love for the plant and not just the flower.. I enjoy to follow the Tortoni project from Totemic.. So much valuable info first hand.. Priceless..

  19. And some non comp pictures ^^ Sprayed the flower tent with Serenade. Should be a dry day today.. time to clean up and get the protection levels up again. Otherwise CT is rather wet this year. 6 days after the last pic.. the screened Pineapple Darth Pini is also growing... The Slurricane is rather quick but still quite a bit out. Looks and smells very tasty. And the compare project. Left Bio Heaven, right Amino Boost. I see no difference so far.

  22. I don't have much to show, apart from my vegging room. The odd branch grows at right angles and is webbed at the join. Some root porn Good luck to all who entered.

  23. This week's updates. Still vegging the two biggest, and the Buddha Cheese are still growing.I didn't water since the rains. Humidity has been up high, so the plants have been hungrier this week. I will give more 5 3 5 to the smallest ones, just a teaspoon for the 3 litre potsHigh humidity has been good for the root growth. The pheno hunt is still on. Seedlings are still alive Germination test on the new mixture.Happy growing everybody.

  26. So after 3 and a bit weeks I am going to eliminate one of the seedlings. The one in the first pic is going. It is strechy and internodal spaces is double that of the other 2 plants. They will go under one light and in one pot.
