  4. Lazy Sunday night post for you all!! Came home from not seeing the plants in 2 days and decided to clean up the lowers which are taking up space now and will become nothing... And be Chopped later anyway so why not now right? Growth is looking amaze balls on both plants... One is clearly ahead, but both ladies are very happy indeed. Please.... For your perusal

  5. Update. It's been 48 hours since I replanted into smaller pots. Pics 1-6 were taken yesterday. Last pic taken now after minimal watering. Looking promising but lets give it a few more days.

  6. Space has always been an issue. Less so now than a few years ago, but I've always tried to compensate for this by making arrangements with local growers around me, and I have patches of 50 here and patches of 100 there With the polyhybrids I have expanded the gene pool I can work with tremendously. There will be countless new pheno expressions as I take each line to F2 and on I'm not focused on any single trait, rather looking for anything that is a positive step forward.

  8. So I dont know if the mutant will be the one. The one I wanted to eliminate looks the best atm. But I suppose this is how it will be for the next few weeks.

  9. This strawberry cola autoflower is doing well, and she's loaded with seeds from the Russian fuel males. Very old school cheese terps. This Russian fuel mother has had some issues but seems to be doing ok again. Full of F2 seeds. Flushed her and gave her elemental blend a few days ago. She has very gassy and pungent terps, way stronger than her sister or anything in the tent. So far only one true purple pheno in the purple glam kush auto's. The seeds of this plant will be special. Thats pollen on the leaf.

  10. Day 25. Transplanted into 15l pots with a 50/50 coco perlite mix because they were root bound and gave them ec0.6 hortimix nutes. Moved them into my 120cm tent and changed to a 150hps for veg. The last one isn't looking too good, might pull her if she doesn't pull through. Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk

  12. looking good man! i think you may be the leader of the competition at the moment with your lovely ladies! if you want them to stretch a bit, give them a tad less light.... either dim down to 200w (still a shit ton if you ask me) or raise the light 30cm

  13. Yip its a bit close for my liking , I think its due to the 300w of light that being pumping in to control the temps in the tent , would prefer a bit more stretch to them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Week 5 - Day30 (06/06/2021) Back at home and spent some time in the tent catching up and making corrections. HORTIMIX-DWC Reservoir is at 0.4EC and 6.0PH. Lost about 1L of water. No changes made to reservoir. Pest have definitely increased, Neem oil seems to have not done much. Thrips have definitely increased and also noticing 1 or 2 spider mites HORTIMIX-COCO Watered with plain water PH'd to 6.0, Runoff measured at 0.2EC, 6.3PH. No more changes Pest have definitely increased, Neem oil seems to have not done much. EHG-COCO Watered with plain water PH'd to 6.0, Runoff measured at 0.2EC, 6.5PH. Rewatered until runoff was 6.3PH (Have noticed some PH fluctuations here, going to water once every two days and monitor) No decrease in pests Not looking the best, but still think i can save her Pics to follow

  16. My ACDC lights too... It makes taking veg pics tricky!! It is because they use an electro magnet to drive them...

  17. 6 June 2021 - Flower started Weekly update - I flipped my plants down from 18 hours to 12 hours of light last night. Lights on is at 8:30pm - 8:30am as that's when it's the coldest in CPT from what I've seen. Ideally I would have vegged for another 2-4 weeks but I'm under immense time pressure (estimated harvest is between 25/07 and 08/08, I need them jarred by 20/08..) so I had to flip early as I mentioned in an earlier post. But I think that I will still be happy come harvest, as this is the first time I'm going into flower without experiencing any major health issues. I like having all of the control with coco, I think I'm going to stick with it. I am hoping for over 120g dry.. but we'll see. (the leaves might seem brown in some spots - I have checked and it's the weird light from my half working burple I got for free)

  18. 24 days later and plants are not looking too bad. I had a slight bug problem but got some preditor mites for 2 weeks then sprayed Pyrol as an extra measure. I added the 1st net this week. The 2 Crescendo are on the left, they are stocky with shorter internode spacing while the Jet Fuel Gelato on the right is way more stretchy with longer internode spacing. The Headbanger in the middle is similar to the Crescendo. I will probably flip in the next 2 weeks depending on how they look. Looking to add Blumats for auto watering but not sure yet.

  20. Day 18 Update: Ladies were showing root growth through the jiffy pot so they're ready to go into their new pots/bags. They're all in 10L grow bags now in Organics Matter Living Soil with a dose of Rhizo-PGPR. Considering all the power issues I've been having over the past few days, they look very good except for one. She's looking a bit yellow. Could this be iron deficiency? Would a dose of CalMag sort her out? Could it be from the heat matt? Here's some shots of the other ladies. I gave them Epson Salts yesterday with their feed and seemed to react well to it.

  21. I saw those lights before this thread started. Having one look at it I realized they weren't even better than any recommended flood light. I would stay clear. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  23. I see you have good node spacing, Nice will definitely consider lowering the watts a bit as the tight nodes can give me a problem in the future

  24. Definitely... My tent stays open... Plants are getting 120w of light and my Temps are between 15-22 degrees. Go see what mine look like, link in my signature. I don't think they doing too bad with the lower temps

  25. They look great, They are going to explode once transplanted What's going to be your next size pot?

  26. Thanks, man really appreciate the kind words, Still a long grow ahead The lights are dimmable from 23W to 586W so going down to 200w is definitely an option but for some reason, it makes a bit temp difference in the tent about 5-8 degrees C and unfortunately the lights is at the highest it can go (small tent 1700h x1200l x620w) Do you think I must maybe sacrifice some temp just for 3-5 days to get them to stretch a bit? I'm at 27C now so would probably drop to 19-21C

  28. almost got excited now hahah there is a forum member who had one of these, lasted less than a month. they even look gimmicky if you ask me. I was at ACDC in somerset and they had a huge chicken wire bin in the middle of the store with these things tossed in there and a big sign with the low low price slapped on. can imagine they selling like hot cake. I am also not so sure that thing can be even close to 200w.

  30. The girl settled into their new pots nicely.. Will probably wait a node or two before starting the bondage exercises.. One will be toped a time or what, #2 will be fimmed and three will become my Pinetree... Well... Thats the plan.. Things happen..

  31. Week 2 Update / Veg Week 1 No real hard work done this week, just letting them settle in, started feeding Ms Organic her TA Pro Organic grow @ 0.5ml/L and Environoc 401. For the hydro gals not much changed except I dropped the res level a bit because the roots have dropped. Also, my talented gf made me some kickass custom artwork

  34. Update time, well not much going on. I have started training #1 for mainlining. #2 I have topped #3 I am not doing anything to. I will just leave her to do her thing and see how she grows without any interference. All in all they are all healthy. I did spray all with a baking soda and water solution. Just as a safety sake for molds. But with low temps and high humidity. Rather safe than sorry.

  35. I only topped the plant above the node. it did not self top. But never the less it is an interesting plant. 4 branches coming out of the 2nd node and 3 branches out of the 3rd node. I topped it as soon as I could see the new growth. Sprayed with some Kelpak this morning

  36. Hey man, My history with plant breeding predates breeding cannabis, and I used to work with pepper plants. I started growing cannabis 2010, and by 2012 started tinkering with breeding, with limited success, as I was working with landrace bag seeds. By end 2013 though I had settled very seriously into breeding my Chocolope NL line, and spent a few years just working that one line, really getting to know it. I made a few other crosses in that time too, but they never got the attention the CNL did. Started out crossing the CNL line in 2018. Also started making feminized seeds in 2018, and applying what I've learnt over the years to other strains. Last year I decided that im taking it to another challenging level, to create a few poly hybrids to navigate what those lines will bring to possible backcrosses onto both my CNL and Chocolate Gelato lines.

  39. Update: Week 3 of veg - doh! This is probably an upsetting image, my apologies Repotted Probably worth talking about how I screwed up so far. I almost always grow from clones so my seedling stage growing clearly needs work. The ferts I was using for the seedlings had much too high an EC. I was diluting my veg ferts but was not diluting it nearly enough (or testing the EC ) That and being a bit distracted by non-cannabis things the last couple of weeks was enough to cause what looks like N toxicity. I've given the coco a flush and have have started using ferts with a (tested) much lower EC. The new growth is already looking better, so I'm hopeful. As I understand with N toxicity the old leaves don't recover fully/quickly. T1 and T2 have pretty good root systems and despite the horror that is the drooping there, the leaves look ok. So I'm hopeful. I'm estimating that I've lost a good week, maybe more, due to stunting. Its going to be really interesting to see how they do from this point on. Pretty silly mistake, but I'm happy. Just learned something valuable for next time. Also I'm really glad I'm growing in coco, it make the testing and correction very easy

  41. I usally put 1 or 2 dell sticks in the soil right before the flush. Then after the flush when the soil settles I slowly and carefull pull them out leaving airways right to the bottom.

  42. Hi all Lost two of my girls but the Giraffe is still fine, has a bit of a yellowish color but I experienced some humidity problems. Think too low humidity(under 50%)and too high temp 28+ but not giving up, everyday learning something. SkunkPharm & PsyClown I grow in Cocos Substrate from Holland, will post a picture next time.
