as far as training goes, you can see i have topped both plans quite low, allowing the bottom 4 stems to dominate the growth. i will likely not be doing too much training other than this and will rely on the use of my flowering stakes and trellis netting for plant containment and late flower support. i will use leave tucking and be cleaning up my stems to promote energy to the upper growth and main colas this is my usual training method, if i have time, i will top the plants until i have an even canopy and then flip, but that will not be the case with these ladies in this competition. they will do their thing and flower 4-6 colas each7 points

Week 3 Update / Veg Week 2 Going to be out of town for the weekend so I'll update now or else risk the wrath of the 420SA police Well not much has changed environment-wise. The hydro ladies are still using the same res solution as before but it's still looking good, PH and EC have been stable so I've left it to be. I have been waiting for the true leaves to do a change. I am noticing some lighter-than-normal green on the new growth now so I'll do a res change on Sunday and take the feed up a notch. PH 5.8, EC 0.5. Ms Organic seems happy as well albeit a little slower than her compadres but she is hanging in there. Been giving her a light feed of TA pro organic with environoc401. Did try @iGrowDagga's Epsom salt foliar on all the ladies, will check if anything changes Today I swapped my kak blurple light for a 120W LED light I got with Samsung diodes so I'll check what that does to the girls. I also acquired a 240W QB from Light It Up that I'm currently using to flower my other tent. Fortunately, the timing will be perfect to flower these girls with that light when I'm done there. So enough rant...5 points

Well to put it as simple as it gets once rooted you can transplant to final pot and out of dome, and feed light for about a week before feeding as normal. Atleast this is how I've done it always and never had any issues4 points

I am nearly done with another project where I am isolating a mother from a pack of 10 Regular Tortoni F1's. I got six females and I am eyeing between two really good looking ladies. They are about halfway now through flower. This fem Tortoni for the comp is really just for fun fun. I'm already so up to my tits in mothers and clones from building up my stable over the last while.4 points

I keep things simple, do not have time to baby plants. Cuttings go into water for a few hours, then into the jiffies / plugs and into the clone dome which sits inside the veg tent. Due to the other plants in the veg tent, the RH is often reasonable and not too low. Based on the RH in the tent, will determine whether I have the airflow adjustment on the clone dome fully closed or a little open. Once I start to see some root being pushed or if the humidity builds up in the dome too much then I will open the airflow holes fully. Once there are roots, I pot up the clones and they go into the veg tent - no further acclimation from my side once they've been potted up. I have not had issues doing this.4 points

Looks like the 3rd seed never popped. So only 2 beautiful ones are growing.3 points

The Slurricane sugar leaves just don't pray.. seems to be a specialty of that strain. The fan leaves pray as usual ^^ but they get frosty.. I give em that. As the only taste counting at the end, is when you smoke the result... curious. Sticky shit3 points

I have repotted into a 17L fabric pot and also topped and trimmed The One so I may begin the training. Plant looks a bit droopy due to drying out the pot in preparation for the transplant. I watered with 0.8ml Grow/Micro/Bloom + 0.8ml Silicon per litre. All the branches were looking a bit min and I would usually expect them to be a bit longer by this time but I decided the top needed to happen soon if I were going to commit to it. I'm hoping the fat fan leaves will help in pushing power to the growth node and push those branches a bit faster. I have a feeling now that it only has the single set of branches it will push faster at those points.3 points

Once the roots show outside the jiffy.. directly into a 3 liter pot with FF Premium Classic.. just water for a week, then they get the first feeding. No dome.. i treat them like plants just out of germination. As long as the medium is not to hot, you should have zero issues.3 points

@Naughty.Psychonaut Banana Hammock's Nope.. no diary on those.. to many different strains right now.. to much work ^^ Their leaves just turned purple, result will be nice.. but.. way to much hassle to get there. Most colas go side ways ^^3 points

They put some thought into their lights.. and the controls are best I saw so far. Day 27 since seeds got wet Ladies look okay I reckon. Before moving them into new pots and into a tent a week ago, the leaves on #1 & #2 started drooping and warping a bit - I think down to watering and possibly even too much wind. While their 1st sets of leaves still look a lil droopy, their other sets have perked up nicely since moving into their new homes. I've been watering every 2 days and with a light dose of Acti-vera because a lil Aloe never hurts and I get to feel like I'm giving them something Despite getting the same treatment #3 didn't show the same damage as #1 and #2 - and seems to be the most vibrant of the lot now. Looks to me like #3/3rd wave isn't here to stuff around and has stepped up as the front runner while the other 2 likely stunted a bit but it is maybe still too soon to call that. I'm going to clean up the bottom bits and maybe top the ladies this weekend. Might be a bit risky with only 23 days of veg left - I don't know but meh... something about a biscuit and risk Made some more GIFs of the ladies dancing - roughly 2hrs 15mins condensed into about 5 seconds. Might need to create an account on OnlyFanLeaves.com or something like that #2 showing she can move too #32 points

Lol, people and their complicated processes. Cut, keep in water, place in whatever clone media you perform, once they have roots, pot up and grow. Not that difficult. You can ask @PsyCLownabout me eyeballing nutrients, I'm sure it irritates him2 points

nice man, that's a completely different plant than my banana pheno! looky not the best photos, here's the buds here she was amongst the canopy, back right, just showing how she wasn't the bushiest girl2 points

For veg they have been pretty consistent with a shorter expression, but remember that I have forced the tight nodal spacing with light. As they progress through stretch the different or similar heights will be clear. Males, even from a similar pheno group tend to exadurate their main cola to get that pollen as high up as possible2 points

i change light end week 6.. they still shoot during pre.. not worried they stay small. But with Eskom load shedding and the temp drops.. i can't buffer those, just the light for the mother tent and emergency ventilation for the flower tent. Cold slows things down.. if Eskom goes stage 4.. can't buffer that for more than one day (charger doesn't get the amps back into the batteries on time).. i just calculate some extra time.. if I finish earlier.. so be it.2 points

Once they show roots, at about 7-10days ( coco, solo cup, clone dome with leds) Start by gradually exposing them to 'final home' conditions. Outdoor, I'll expose them to sun/weather by placing them in a shady spot for a few hours, then extending/increasing the exposure time over the course of a week. Still in solo cup, feed some AACT and light nutes. Then they get transplanted/up potted to soil with some myco. Wait for new positive growth and carry on as usual.2 points

*Hardening off is the acclimatization of rooted cuttings/seedlings prior to putting the plants into the growing environment... You just slowly expose the rooted cuts to the new environment conditions over a X many days. Simple example is taking the lid off the humidity dome.2 points

25 days since I planted directly into 10l pot and almost succeeded in killing them. 3 days since I repotted into smaller pots and I seem to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Plants seem to be bouncing back some what. Do you think it's the Epsom salt light foliage spray I gave them @iGrowDagga? I've decided I'll be inviting my two QB75's to the party. One either side the 240W and dial them to what will be optimum lighting or close to for my 900mm x 900mm area. As far as training goes I'm stumped as I think time has run out. Not sure. Will see.2 points

You clearly failed comprehend my post. I'm still waiting for you to tell me why this grow wasn't a Sea Of Green, because that seems to be what you're implying as per the bold underlined text in your post... Actually that line straight up suggests that my example is in fact a SCreen Of Green... Please correct me if I am wrong.1 point

@GGG what's up brother, hope all is well your side I believe the most important part of taking clones is the health of the mother plant aswell as where you take the cuts from the plant. with these two points, hardening off is out of the question. IMO, regarding your question, best thing for hardening off once rooted is to not pamper them like babies. my method is, pour a cup of RO water, take my cuts and take off any leaves and branches that would be taken off anyway. this exposes pathways for the plant to uptake water quicker than straight through the branch. just leave two fan leaves at top and one axillary bud atleast if not the apical meristem. once cutting is clean, cut a new fresh cut at base and make sure you cut through another axillary bud or 1mm below. as soon as fresh cut is made drop in RO water, let sit for 12hrs, this is harding off, then you got 12hrs to prep what you gona put them in. I prefer rockwool, soaked in RO aswell. after 12hrs I simply take the cuts and carefully slide them in their individual cubes and place them in my humidity dome. 99% rh and completely closed for atleast 24hrs. sometimes I like to let my whole dome sit in some water for the first 24hrs. then I start to gradually take the water away, slightly opening my dome little by little every day letting RH out. by day 7 you should be at 50% RH (everyday you should lift the dome atleast once for complete FAE and get rid of the water that has collected at the bottom and spray the dome with new fresh water) remember, the plant has no immune system and can't fend for itself for shit, so first sign of mold or any of that shit can hinder the rest of that plants life. there are wounds the pathogens and bacteria can enter, so keep it RO water. your plant doesn't need ANY form of nutrient during this time. day 6/7 you should have roots. when I see a root, I plant straight into ff premium classic and they go into my tent and I treat them like normal plants. no wasted time, money or effort. 95 - 100% success, no products used.1 point

Update: Week 4 of veg These plants are really impressive. Despite my best attempt to poison them they are recovering really well. I'd still say that has cost be a good two weeks, but its fun to watch them recover whatever :) The old leaves are still droopy and are starting to yellow. The new leaves are looking nice and healthy1 point

Yes they are 3l rose pots. Plants can get nice and big in them with out stressing them to much. And when the are transplanted they have deep roots in the pot.1 point
-
Thanks bud! I reckon so too. When I watered them yesterday I saw nice roots starting to poke out. That coupled with the growth and extension I have seen makes me want to transplant some time this week. I am thinking of going to what I would call a 2l plastic pot. Looks about that size anyway, maybe slightly larger. From there we will see based on growth, but I reckon into a 10l fabric for final as there is not that much time left.1 point

Dude yes... this is me. I'm still two weeks away from flipping to flower in my current grow and now I'm planning the next one and buying second tents, lights, etc.. People say smoking is the addiction but for me its the growing1 point

Looking very cool man. I see you did a full on lollipop on all the ladies. I would throw a number out of between 10 to 15 grams dry trim weight per plant. So all in all between 160 and 200 grams I would guestimate... I enjoyed following your grow. Went a lot faster than a Baobab1 point

Our advice is more for when you run into trouble which ... you will once you get thrips you will gush for all the tips on offer. i do not like spraying my plants, but i am prepared for anything mother nature can throw at me none the less so i like to rather be prepared than panicked and broke... i cant tell you the amount of times i thought everything is golden...and then shit hits the fan and i dont have anything to fix it nore the money to get the stuff to fix it. the other thing is... i do not spray my flowering plants at all... i make sure my IPM is on point in veg so that i have clean flowers going into my flower tent. my flower tent and Veg tent are less than 50cm apart... if i treated my plants with neem only... the bugs would just feast on my flowers instead, so i need something a bit more potent than bad tasting neem1 point
