  1. Well I fed these girls on Monday with a combo of teas. Bacterial blend and Malted Barley. They will start doubling in size on a weekly timeline. (My experience) and should hopefully be able to go into flower 3rd of July.

  3. Alright! Time to update my thread!! The plants are moving along happily... I did a large removal of leaves and nodes I have no interest in and hopefully they can put the energy to where I want it I have been a bit slack... And the plants haven't been watered since last week some time.. So I'm going to do that now now and get stuck into my veg room... Lots to do!! Even more to do in the flower room but lets not go there now hehe

  4. So I just had to get a vege area and what better time than the now. The girs get a new home and I have somewhere to keep some cuts and seedlings.. Need to build a stronger light but for now it works..

  6. So here are the ladies. Stil looking for a way to get better photos. Here they are at the disco and the best still photos I could get between the lines. #1 is growing through the FIM. Nothing interesting developed yet. #2 just on her own, no training yet. Just took off damaged fan leaves. She definitely Took the hardest knock #3 always watch out for the runt. Lst seems the way to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Update: Week 5 of veg Huge improvement this week. I think they are now starting to grow at a more reasonable rate. Still no where near where they needed to be at this point. But I'm enjoying watching them recover at least. Plants were all topped, kinda sad removing the healthiest leaves, but all for a good cause :). I'll let them recover a few days and then think about LST Pics of before and after

  8. Day 32 if my math is correct. 11 days since the plants have been in smaller pots and roots started pushing out bottom of pots. Soil dried to a nice consistency and cinnamon powder added as I found wiggly worms that are definitely not earthworms. All 3 lights will be running from today so I'll be figuring out heights etc for the rest of the week. Training, still not sure if I should attempt it. Lack of experience the main problem. Water using borehole water ph 6.5 - 6.7. Spray a little Biogrow bioneem every 2 weeks or so from now on. Man. These plants have bounced back nicely.

  10. Day 33 The 3 Tortonis have moved into the finishing tent and are now under the 340W lighting. Countdown is on... 17 days left to flip. Before putting the water tray of the tent back in after cleaning, I put some cardboard down underneath it, just to add some sort of insulation between the pots and the floor to try keep temp up. I plan on introducing neem oil this week as a preventative measure for nasty stuff. Just been watering with occasional activera or liquid gold microbes added.

  12. Hello Family, The time has come... Finally putting down the details, and logging the grow from the go. June 14th (18:00pm) Just planted, straight into the Glue Plugs, holding thumbs. Plain water, and into the dome with a heat mat and thermostat, set at 25deg. Pictured here are the strains as they appear below. Left to Right, then Back to Front. The Plug: Baklava Barney's Farm: Gorilla Zkittlez Sannies: Sugarpunch OSG: Cheese (from @Golden-Goose) Sannies: Herijuana Royal Queen: Critical I sure hope that you will follow along, and that I can do these strains proud, as well as make some entertaining reading and pretty pictures. 15. The two QB75's have been switched on. The @Light It Up 240W (centre stage) is set at 160W. The two @growopz QB75's (riding shotgun) is set at 135W. If I understand correctly I have just shy of 300W on the plants, correct? Using two phones and three different apps the screenshot pictured gives an average reading with the light 550mm above plants. I'll be playing around till Sunday on the light heights and settings on the 240W. I say Sunday cause Sunday I decide on biting the bullet and consider training.

  18. to be totally honest....n00b mistake. I just didn't know. I've only been doing this for a year and half so still learning and kinda just following advice from all over the place. Growing cannabis was my lock down hobby which has got me hooked. My other grow mates say give CalMag with every feed and then Epsom does such wonders, so I added it. I should just stick to my old routine of giving Epsom with plain pHed water twice a week. So as @Bos said. more of a shotgun remedy to try get things to move on quicker. But you are spot on. All three plants are doing great at the moment, actually thriving and I've seen a good push in size. Will post pics later, its night time in the tent currently.

  19. I may need to move my qb... As I am using just the one qb in a 1.2x1.2 space... Very short of what I should have that's for sure!! But they will be fine... They are growing well, but I fear I may be slipping behind on some of the competition

  21. Goooood morning Tortoni caretakers. After top and fun I got rid of some fan leaves to promote growth lower down , pinched just below top node also . Girls got 1 feeding and a SST in the last week . Transplanted into 15L pots with amended old soil, mixed FF Premium/Amended soil and just FF Premium Classic (Green bag) last night . Another 2-3 weeks to settle and of we go .

  22. Day 34 #2 and #3 have really put on a stretch and I don't really know why to be honest. The top coincided with a change of bulb from 250w to 400w so perhaps the 400w bulb isn't so lekker. I'm in 2 minds on whether to change back to the 250w or not Decided to do a bit of supercropping on the stretched plants to help manage the stretch This is another hobby of mine. Homebrewing beer. Below is an Irish Stout I've been working on. Much like with weed, once you enjoy a well made homebrew, very few commercial examples can compare I must say I've seen some really good looking plants in the other diaries. Really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next chapter of this growoff!

  24. One of my favourites, from lockdown too. Can say what you want about lockdowns but being at home and being able to regularly pay attention really 'poured fuel on the fire' of my interest in growing this beautiful plant. There's a ton of knowledge on this forum and appreciate all I've already learnt here ✌

  25. I here you. I can always replace them with 25mm aluminium square tubing at a later stage. The frame us basically just for the top of the bag. Its just legs and the rectangular frame at the top.

  26. Thanks. Think it's got more to do with@Totemic genetics hey. Sure, I propagate and work with indigenous plants but looking over the grow threads one thing stands out. Just about everyone who had a kak start or some bad luck have had a good comeback with minimal effort. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk

  28. Perfect, as much as I was against using them together, I didnt at all say that you shouldn't use Epsom salt. The stuff has its place and I've often used it, when needed. Growing in organic, being a salt, it will kill off some microbes. So be sure to inoculate with them. Trooper

  33. Sorry yes, did mean to mention this was 1 minute after lights on. Good spotting/thinking though Nice to hear people say my PH is spot on though! So many varying opinions always, and most don't understand that there are so many ranges for the different mediums/depending whats in the soil. But in all honesty, I have also not fed them until earlier tonight Bad grower, BAD! So they still look droopy. Realistically, they should have been fed on Sunday latest. Preferably Saturday evening. But anyways...things are a bit hectic this side. Will send updated pics tomorrow hopefully. They got a real nice feed of BioGrow Bloom and Grow + Molasses + Epsom Salts. So should be happy chappies soon

  35. @PsyCLown thanx for the heads up man. It's been a couple of crazy weeks. So currently we are on day 14 since the flip to flower. Some of the ladies have started stretching real nice. I made some notes on the height prior to flip so will be interesting to see which lady wins the race. Some of the ladies are already starting to show some nice bud sites and starting to push pistils while others are taking their time. I did a minor defoliation on the mothers and this should be enough for the final flowering stage (might trim a little here and there as the stretch settles) I also didn't defoliate the Bubblegum again as I like the current look.. All and all happy with the current situation and hoping that the rest of the flowering period will go on incident free. Twisted Helix GSC Palomino Tortoni #1 Tortoni #2 Bubblegum Tent View

  36. Hey Fam, in fact I gave away a Killing Fields to @Nibirunot so long ago, and have a set in the cupboard still, and a few other Sannies seeds in stock. The Mad Berry being the latest I grew in the purple feno, and the silver fields, which I still have cuts of, and silver fields being one family of the killing. Have even got his next crosses, which are coming out or have just released. The Cheese, I've always found BB to be more sweet, than a true cheese, but I cant comment on hype or the likes, as there must be some kind of truth or substance to the sales pitch, or maybe not... @Golden-Goosewould you care to comment

  37. Hi My lady looks healthy, not fed her again this week, my grow bag is still heavy and moisty. I've kept my temp between 22.5 and 26.5 and the humidity between 50 and 80% and the light cycle 20 on and 4 off, the 4 hours off is between 10h00 and 14h00.

  38. So these lovely ladies were transplanted on Friday They had a nice feeding and then I topped them a day later. So some decent stress on them. I am going to give them a nice feeding again shortly. I transplanted two of them into the 2 odd litre pot. And then another into a 10l fabric. The roots looked great, bit of spinning already, but a healthy system none the less. The 2l pots I am hoping will last until it is time to flip. But it should work out nicely to transplant in 2 weeks, give a week to recover and then flip to flower. The reason for putting one in a different pot is purely experimental. I will most likely not repot it before flower (I usually ALWAYS repot before flower). It will be interesting to see the growth difference.

  39. Morning all. Thought I'd start today with a fat Haunted Kush Cake spliff. Dried and been in the jar about two weeks. Still a bit unsure how to explain the smell. When I dunk my nose in the jar it's kinda fruity then a hint of citrus after it's passed through the grinder. Nice high, no couch lock for me. Clear head and just want to get up and do things now. From 25 plants after a few bud rot chucks ended up with 79.09g. 3.2g/plant from a 3l pot. Not great but I'm chuffed. Learnt a lot this season and have double the space available in the shade house now. Already collecting and prepping for the coming season. I'll post some porn later.

  42. Day 31 Pics taken last night Pace of growth picking up nicely. Bit of a stretch going on for #2.... Otherwise growth is nice and healthy at the moment. The plants tend to come out more yellow in the pics. They are greener to the naked eye. The spectrum of the bulb and colour correction on the phone seems to cause this

  44. 6 days later , doing very well . Fed 2days ago 1ml/L Rootjuice and Bio Heaven just to give something although it's not necessary , that soil has been very friendly to the girl . Moved then from the clone light to my veg light and they under 4000K again. Will see in the next week if and how I want to train them . Pics was taken outside again , veg room is to cramped up , so they got a teeny tiny bit of sunlight . If this is not exceptable....well then I'll try something else that is way more effort . Live and let live

  46. just what ever you decide to spray... please dont spray it on your flowers? there are a bunch of good advices and products to use here... but spraying your flowers should be only a last resort before terminating that flower and starting over. i have heard of a lot of people that neem makes the smoke taste bad or less nice compared to plants that were not treated with neem. Pyrol is not carcenogenic... but best be safer rather than in trouble. and then literally everything else would be a huge nono for flowering plants
    1 point
  47. I didn’t see you had another option abovez... rather do just one bud, pyrol is rough on the plants. Very easy to over do

  48. So ladies and gents, one week later and this is the state of my 3 ladies. All looking healthy, drinking and growing nicely too. The second set of true leaves have just started poking out. I am spraying them with un-PH'd RO water day and night. Just a nice spritz on the soil and inevitably some on the leaves. I have moved them to the flower tent (which is still on veg lighting) for the time being to help with the cold nights we have had. That light is sitting at around 150w right now. Will be beefing it up over the weekend for the other 2 ladies in there. Not sure what to do there as I need to flip to flower in a week or so, so will have to move them out again, but by then they should be bigger. I am honestly just winging it at the moment as with work and everything else my grows are a bit mixd up. No stress though
