Judging Criteria Plants are judged on their condition when the grower states they are finished, however other factors are considered in the process as well, such as: How consistent was the grow - minimal hiccups along the way How well the chosen training technique was executed Maximum utilization of light General good growing practices Plant Condition Judging Criteria Bud size and condition Plant colour Minimal burn Minimal leaf clawing Minimal leaf cupping Minimal pest infection Lack of deficiencies Number of bud sites No signs of stunting Plant size - this plays a roll but plant size must be accompanied by quality. As varying training techniques will produce varying sized plants. The size of a plant won't weigh heavily in judging. No excessive stretching Judging Panel @Totemic @PsyCLown @420SA @Green Leaf Organics - a late but very welcome judge addition8 points

Lol you'll need to negotiate with Prom then. A 350z in exchange for the ability to upload videos on this forum seems incredibly reasonable I think. @Prom you are obliged to accept the offer... or face ridicule from this community7 points

The Mutant on the right is falling behind. I might need to cut some lowers so that all the energy is transferred into the top 4 branches. I will sleep on it.5 points

Blue Moonshine x Blue Moonshine (original DJ Short line) Photo was sent in by a very happy customer. Grown under full spectrum LED. Day 50 of flower, so still has at last 10 days left to knuckle up. Papaya terps, with berry terps creeping in on late flower.5 points

DAY 35 Sins there is about a week or 2 left or less before the flip to flower I have decided to take a chance and repot 2 of my gals. Hope the gamble plays off, didn't look like they had any shock during the re-potting, the Velcro makes it very easy to trance plant them Added about 10L of coco to the new pot (ph/nut), buff for the new soil to match as closely as possible to existing media to prevent fluctuations and shock. Haha there first time being outside Back in there tent happy again3 points

You're going strong man! Flip date is only 3rd of July so you still have time. The last post the ladies looked like they were settling nicely!3 points

Update: Week 6 of veg I'm finally starting to see good growth again, so I've just done the LST. The photos are from immediately after so everything is still bent down a bit from being pushed around. I'll take photos again in a few days. And yeah, hillbilly style with string and binders. I've found it easy to work with and adjust so good enough for me My biggest concern atm is what looks like precipitation in my res. I've never had issues before with hortimix so I'm not sure what I'm seeing that now. So far I've tried My original (flawed) way: A then B then silicon then pH with no delay between each. This is definitely the worst way What should work in theory: Silicone into the res for +1 hour, then A (diluted), the B (diluted) then pH For the second method I took out ~5L of water for each of the A + B before putting in the silicon, then added them in after the 1 hour wait. Always stirred really well, and air pump running 100% of the time. There was no cloudiness with the 2nd option at all, but it went cloudy after ~24 hours. Very strange... I have recently started adding H2O2 (thanks for asking & the concern @ExoticCannabis2021). I'v read some good things about a reasonably low dosage of H2O2 being generally beneficial so was giving that a try. I'm not convinced that its causing the precipitation issues but my next attempt is going to be only A+B and see what happens there. I've seen no signs of nutrient deficiency with these plants so all ok so far. But I do have a few other similar age ones that have one or two leaves starting to show signs of issues, so this is something I need to get sorted ASAP.3 points

@420SAI have hosting with quite alot of space if you do decide to move on to bigger space we can discuss. Altho I think it would still be better just to upgrade with your current host and leave out all the work of having to transfer DB and files over Edit- I accept 350z as tradeoffs aswel3 points

cannabis stores that what? sell cannabis? i dont think you will find many if any references on this fine website establishment. As the selling of cannabis is still highly illegal, i am also sure that those businesses would prefer not being publicly named2 points

Nice save on the plants! Your mixing strategy shouldnt cause any lockout or salt build up issues. Unless you are keeping your water standing during the 24 hours and when adding the nutes - then nothing is properly mixing. I drop a water pump in mine so that its continously mixing and then in the DWC res theres an air pump so theres constant water movement. Make i ask why you are using H202? Is it for any Algae that might pop up? I know most people only use H202 in res for DWC because of root rot issues. H202 will kill everything. Even anything beneficial to your plants. And incorrect dosage can also harm roots (Just checking if you are aware ) Didnt mind the comments on my thread btw2 points

Update, survivor is going great now that the medium has been rinsed well, and I also tied her down. Ec is set at 0.7 and Ph 5.5. A bit miffed that I messed this grow up to be honest, but she is pulling along. Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk2 points

Unfortunately yes, fruit chafers they're called. Larvae normally dine on decomposing organic matter but I've also experienced otherwise. I now sift and remove them from my compost for planting.2 points

After a few years of absence on the forums i felt I had to come back and give credit where credit is due. Totemic is truely bringing us fire genetics. Plants cultivated outdoors in winter I have had the chance now to test a lot of fem seeds by totemic lately and will bring my review on the other strains once the go into flower . For now I will speak about chocolate Gelato x slurricane Fems which I found contain a 99% successful female rate This cross is extreamly resistant to mildew with 13% showing signs of mildew , bare in mind it's winter. They are also exteamly pest resistant and had no issues with pests. There are roughly 9 phenotypes but that can be expected with them being S1. There's a good mix of sativa and indica dominant phenos . Whilst I do not normally enjoy sativa dominant phenos as a fair majority contain alpha pinene which is one terpine I really dislike flavour wise , I am finding the sativa dominant phenos are carrying high levels of mercene which is my favorite terpine and usually found mainly in indica dominant. Most of the plants are carrying the terpine profile of slurricane .There is one pheno occurring at a 8% rate that is a lower yielder which is the only drawback I found whilst not a big one as quality is on point . I also had a 1% mutant rate. I had a germination rate of 93%. I have spent a lot of money on imported genetics and I can honesly say that totemic brings us fire . I personally won't be cultivating imported genetics for a while . There is a noticeable difference in the way the plants handle our climate over imported genetics . Breede locally for our climate and putting our money back into our local community . Love what you doing totemic and keep it up. Ps I am not a tester for totemic I am just a guy that wanted to give them a go and was extreamly happy and they went way above my expectations1 point

Its certainly a little suspicious and strange, when the new guy in the room, just goes straight to asking where the goods are at. No previous conversations or just shooting the shit... Asking to make a list Bad people skills, or dodge1 point

Well not really, since a quick search on google will show a plethora of options. So I think you wrong in saying they would prefer not to be publicly named? As well as that I dont see him asking for cannabis, he might be wanting grow equipment, CBD Edibles, any one of a hundred things?1 point

he just needs a full backup and the new hoster loads it back. Not that difficult to switch hosting. Hosting services use pretty much the same tools.1 point

Bless you The plants in pots, are all clones, from CC Gorilla Glue, Ethos Crescendo, Slurri and Wedding Cake, Zsweet Insanity Then a few had been from the other clone company around, and their Slurri and Wedding Cake, blunicorn. To be honest, they had not gotten labeled from which place, just the strains themselves. Big B Cookies and Cream cheese, and Peanut butter breath from Thug Pug clones. Then fresh in seed form, are the OSG CHEESE, Barney's GZ, and Sannies Sugarpunch. In their mini domes. And in the dome, are cuttings of the Peanut butter breath, and Cookies and Cream cheese, a Mad Berry clone, along with the Baklava seedling.1 point

Mornings.. I have a pot up planned to the final pot in the next few days. 1L to 5L.1 point

Especially with coco its good to keep a consistent fert dosage. That way the plant is best adapted to take up the nutrients etc at a given pH and salt concentration. Switching between the two can work but not strictly ideal. I think if it continues to be an issue I'll try a grow without the silicon and see if its really worth the effort. How much difference that actually makes in practice, I can't personally say. Need to experiment a bit I guess1 point

If you want a grow store, Hydroponic are based in Cape Town and I think Futurama as well - they stock more than just grow equipment though.1 point

I prefer to source directly from who is most likely Jamie's supplier. Greenhouse technologies. I get a 200L bag for just under R400-00 They've been having distribution issues of late though. It's been a breeze previously1 point

Week 4 Update / Veg Week 3 It's been a week of some seriously explosive growth, each of these ladies have their own personalities. T1 (Alyssa) is explosive, man her growth is insane. T2 (Amy) is short and bushy, although reserved, she's been putting on the weight on those thick stems of hers. T3 (Janis) AKA Ms Organic is elegant and poised growing with perfect structure and spacing, I'm thinking of growing her out naturally with little to no training. The girls in hydro got a res change in the beginning of the week and they are getting the 3 part feed and a weekly inoc of Environoc401. Their EC is at 1.1 and PH is at 5.9. They have both been topped and I'm busy training the branches outwards away from the middle. Ms Organic got a soaking of rainwater mixed with ProOrganic and Environoc and has been responding really well to her new pot. T1 - Alyssa Start of training: Current top view: Internal structure: Massive fan leaves, this fan leaf was the one I thought had an extra finger, turns out the finger was in fact a duck foot (webbed) when it had grown out. I had a similar leaf on the other plant: T2 - Amy Start of training: Current top view: Internal structure: T3 - Janis Top view: Internal structure:1 point

Found a couple of these worms in my soil pot after my seedlings suddenly died. Pulled the seedling and discovered that the root were chowed off. Could this creature be responsible for it? They seem to be in all my soil pots and i have no idea how they got there. I've never seen the adult beetle specie in my area...1 point
