  2. I was too, and coming for the win now, jk My thoughts are that having someone like me, who has an artistic eye (this is the word around town), and I think not that bad at photography (if y'all aren't lying to me), might be good for the panel. Also, I would take it all seriously, and try not enter, to be more fair. Then... Been thinking if I do get the gig, that I might start "The Wild Card" and on top of the prizes, I would give out a prize to someone in the competition, that maybe didnt win, or had impressed me (with forum approval of course). If you havent already noticed, I'm selfishly selfless, and get more out of giving (read that again).

  3. Quick & short update, ladies been harvested within a period of 2 days mostly due to lazyness to trim. Plants were wet trimmed and hang to dry at a target of 16C & 60% RH I'm glad it's winter because it's easy for me to keep those temps constantly though out the day and will probly aim for a 2 week dry before moving to the curing process. Night Readings: Day Readings: I have also taken a couple of pop corn bud and have gone through the process of Sublimation Cure (said to be one of the best methods) . Make sure to check my other post on Sublimation Cure where I will update it with the results Sublimation-Cure Nothing else for now. Next update, I ll be posting final results aswel as cured nugs and smoke report Blue Dream (coco) and Blue Dream (Soil)

  4. Hey bud. It's quite funny that you ask as I actually went on a little smelling investigation earlier today but no distinctive terpenes pushing through just yet but I have a feeling that it will be a diversely stinky bunch at the end of the day On a happy note the Tortoni #2 and Bubblegum has also started showing some nice snow covered tops Bubblegum Tortoni #2 Twisted Helix

  7. Day 40 10 days to flip. Today they got watered with a light dose of blackstrap molasses introduced for the first time. 1 week of growth (minus me removing the odd fan leaf). I've been pressing the branches downwards by hand to try develop a more flat+even surface for light to land.

  8. It's definitely not getting worse. I think it caused some damage and now we're moving on. Yip, I do shake the nutrient bottles up before the feed. Here's some pics from today without the light on.

  9. You may still enter, but obviously you will not be allowed to vote in that particular month. Especially if we have more members on the panel, then one member can participate if they really want a prize or want to show off a round of pictures. We are a breezy bunch, you see.

  14. Okay! Definitely one plant is more exuberant than the other, no matter... I have trimmed off some more lower fan leaves and ones that go inward to the plant to expose lower growth. Some stems seemed to grow a bit faster than others, these I have pinched and rolled to slow down the growth for a few days to let the shorter stems catch up. Plants are happy and are not displaying any signs of stress or issues, it is smooth sailing for now Only 10 days left for them to do their things! They will be considerably smaller than other plants I usually put into flower, but I am hoping for the best, juiciest, most succulent flowers come harvest time

  15. Here is what the light is doing, hopefully my coverage is okay. T1 has 6 mains, T2 has 6 and T3 has 7. I think this weekend I switch and I’ll have time to do the necessary ipms and feeds T3 is almost growing over T2 but not by much, if anything I’d prefer to just pull her over ever so slightly.

  16. DAY 35 Sins there is about a week or 2 left or less before the flip to flower I have decided to take a chance and repot 2 of my gals. Hope the gamble plays off, didn't look like they had any shock during the re-potting, the Velcro makes it very easy to trance plant them Added about 10L of coco to the new pot (ph/nut), buff for the new soil to match as closely as possible to existing media to prevent fluctuations and shock. Haha there first time being outside Back in there tent happy again

  17. Hey growers. My name is Rob and I'm an avid gardener from SA. My interests lie more in the 'alternative' gardening like hydroponics. I experiment with different and easier methods like kratky. I don't have a grow room as yet. My first grow last year was from an unknown seed which turned into a highly sedative cannabutter. My current grow is from the 'free' palomino seeds from the website in a kratky bucket with soluble nutrients from the nursery. I've been researching different methods on how to extract different cannabinoids on yt: thca, cbd, cbn for my partner's medical ailments to make a salve! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  18. Well my fellow growmies... Seems assif Covid will force us to hone our skills further... The deed was done.. I potted up to my planned final pot but I fear it was a bit early as the root development was far weaker that I antisipated.. This might come back and bite me but so I learn.. No1 was put in a Super Frass FF PC and DE mix.. Nr 2&3 in a FF PC with some DE, Rock phosphate and Calcium phosphate mix.. They were droopy since the last watering and that was part of the reason why I decided to pot up.. But as you can see there were allot of space for more root development. Part of my issue here I think is wrong watering technique.. I gave them a good soak afterwards but never before have I been nervious when doing a pot up and today I was... They bounced back quick.. Not realy want to do any of my torture chamber routines on them as I can not afford to loose vege time.. I will see how they do and maybe do some HST & LST next week Tuesday to have them recover before the flip on Saturday the 3rd.. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe.

  19. Very nicely done.. If you top your plant and take a cutting, they'll be the size my plants are now..

  20. On the T2 plant, the yellow seemed to subside but there are still two leaves with some yellow edges. The T1 plant on the other hand just went full-on with yellow. If there's a prize for most vibrant and colorful plant, I might be in the running. LOL!

  21. Lol it looks like you are growing an entirely different plant with the yellow tips hehe... The rest of the plant, actually even including those leaves look healthy and happy...

  27. That looks to me, like root damage growth. I'd say 100% no pest, if there is one, it's in the soil. Added, do you see more damage to the same spot each day, or notice more spots each day, in different areas?

  28. Aweh @Growbaron Feeding a plant high levels of nitrogen during flower may also create leafy buds like those. Sunlight hours this time of the year will also push a plant to reveg. In order to help with this situation we'll need a bit more info about your grow setup.

  30. It's already been enabled but we'll have to see how the host server handles the bandwidth once the feature is enabled. A few guys watching videos at the same time may be problematic so we'll have to see. Unfortunately this therefore means that your video may be removed if this doesn't work out. Just some important things to know: You'll need to ensure your file size is lower than the 300mb limit. The limit is there to manage the threat of bandwidth overload. This website will not compress videos on upload and you won't have the ability to select different video qualities to save on data. Don't expect the same level of performance like you have with YouTube etc. Loading times may be a slow at times. Accepted video file types are mp4, avi, 3GP, MOV and WMV

  31. Surprised there are no posts about chillies on here. is it not a stoner favourite? Had a joint, a brain fart and decided to head into a chillie business head first today ( maybe ass first ). We just planted in our newly erected tunnel last week, water pipes in today and cabbages planted. Sad to say this is not a pappagaaislaai tunnel but a legit food garden. We planning on growing cabbages, cucumbers, tomatoes for our local markets. Just sorted out my chilli seed collection and excited to start growing them for a number of reasons, mainly for food, but waste goes to our pigs and donkeys. Watch this space, I will update as I go along, season starts soon.

  32. This week I've caused some more tip burn and clawing. It's either the salty coco, or too much Nitrogen. Everything has been sprayed quite heavily over the last couple of weeks. I don't increase the dosage of neem and garlic, but I increase the frequency to every 3 days, when the bugs are around. I find that a spray of fish mix (1-2 ml) helps with the bugs, but that could've also caused the problem with the burnt tips. When things get all out of whack then I just give plain water and half a teaspoon of gypsum. I took all the raddish out and removed any rotting debris from the pots. The big Buddha cheese girls came out for a hair cut and inspection. 3 distinct phenos and they all smell strong, when I rubbed them. With Mycorootno mycoroot Once they hit the top of the canes (1.2 m) I will start flowering.

  33. Be carefull of cbd products that are locally made . While there are guys out there doing it properly there are also a lot of people that are doing it really badly . The laws state that per serving no more than 20mg with no more than 600mg per bottle/packet . Anything over this needs a doctor's prescription. People also don't realize that you can only use cbd isolate that has been approved by SAPRA and imported with all its paperwork from the UK. Any cbd that is extracted locally be it distilate, isolate etc is techniquly illegal to use in products as its not SAPRA registered even if it's under the legal 0.3% thc . While the little CBD producers are really not going to be gone after by SAPRA unless someone has a really bad reaction and an investigation is launched , it's still worth bearing in mind when deciding on a product . I have lab tested a large number of local products and the majority of the "full spectrum" contain large amounts of thc . If you looking for a good broad spectrum CBD have a look at Madisons Botanicals . They are made from locally produced cbd and contain 0.2% thc and I have seen there COA and have had them nafs tested . In the end of the day though due to the cbd used techniquely they still an illegal product in SAPRA's eyes

  34. Hi @Weskush, I have just started selling a range of locally produced CBD products that I am totally behind and believe in. I have been searching for a supplier halfheartedly for months. Met up with the owner and he is legit, honest, and can also provide the paperwork/analysis if need be. I have not loaded them to my website as yet, but have stock of tinctures, oils, salves and serums. I have had good feedback from the people that have already bought from me. If you still interested drop me a message and I will send you a pricelist. @prom Sorry for your experience and it would piss me off too, especially for medical reasons and today we have all the tools and technology to test. But its also the reason why I like to know the people I buy/work or deal with as you can never know people too well even if they are a pastor or priest.

  35. Good shout too. It could be any of the micro elements mentioned. Your soil, fish emulsion and worm juice may have been a bit strong a that stage. They are pulling out of it now and looking much better I know what Nitrogen toxicity looks like because some of my clones are showing the claw leaves. I backed off with the feed for a week and just gave them water. I first search through Google Image and look for similar pictures.

  36. Yea it's very strange... I was stumped, then took to Google for guidance... And even Google is a bit scant.... Which leads me to believe that there are/were a few issues happening at the same time. Most deficiencies lead to a sad unhappy looking leaf... Likewise with toxicities... Leaf generally stays to look like shit... But not his leaves... They are happy looking for the most part... Very confusing lol. The only other time I have seen something similar happen is with cloning gell, I see weird disfigured discolored nonsense on the new growth and then it's fine

  37. What do you think? Its the first thing that came to mind. Locked out by too much nitrogen? https://www.canr.msu.edu/news/molybdenum-deficiency-in-poinsettia Molybdenum toxicity will also exaggerate purpling in late flower. Only tiny amounts like 1-2 ppm.

  38. I'd often get that same yellowing, and as soon as I would add Epsom salts, it would get better, but as you see above, the damage is done and not going to fully recover on the old leaves. It almost like balances the nutrients and let's the roots take up better, Is very weird as you say @CreXand I dont understand it fully myself, but as above, that seems to help, or remedy.

  39. Seems your method isnt the fault in the mix. i actually tried to find addition info about the problem you have...and it was really hard!!! i think you have a few problems tho... 1) the yellowing of the lower leaves like that... the closest i can find is a zinc deficiency 2) but zinc deficiency alone doesn't make sense, the very dark inners of the leaves potentially indicate a nitrogen toxicity 3) and the only other thing it could be is a deficiency in potassium , but i don't see the usual spotting on the leaves. zinc is a tough one to identify because many other elements in an imbalance can cause a zinc lockout. zinc starts off at the bottom of the plant and works its way up, so using new growth may not be a good way to judge plant health in this case. has has the problem gone? is it spreading or getting worse, or do you think you have made it through whatever bad vibes you going through? another thing is do you shake your bottles before you use them? the nutrients will loosely separate if left undisturbed and you may find you are not getting a smooth ratio of nutes per dose

  40. Mid week update, the plants are doing well, put the blumat back on the bed, was going smoothly plants seems to be drinking steadily with little movement from res but today they gulped and the bed is super wet so I hope it’s done for now and I’m not running into issues. Layered a bit of oat hay for more surface coverage as the dicondrah didn’t sprout as rapidly as I would like. Don’t know how much space I’ll be left with in this format. I also topped T3 again, that makes up for the lost arm

  41. Happens dude. One bad bottle can throw everything off balance, but it is literally the last thing to troubleshoot i.e.. your nutrients.

  46. Day 33 The 3 Tortonis have moved into the finishing tent and are now under the 340W lighting. Countdown is on... 17 days left to flip. Before putting the water tray of the tent back in after cleaning, I put some cardboard down underneath it, just to add some sort of insulation between the pots and the floor to try keep temp up. I plan on introducing neem oil this week as a preventative measure for nasty stuff. Just been watering with occasional activera or liquid gold microbes added.
