Day 2 Week 8 Update Got nothing.. and I copied the videos over.. but editing split screen.. I have to read up in my editor how that works.. Magix Pro Plus is rather complicated. Bought the worst editor there is I think... I will have to figure that out, when I have more time. Not in the mood to look into it at the moment. The software pisses me off very very much ^^6 points

Week 5 Update / Veg Week 4 It has been quite a busy week and I now wish for those 16 days I missed in the beginning. I've been trying to get as much done by the end of this week to allow the girls to just chill and recover the last week before the flip. I've had a few challenges along the way but luckily I've come out the other side (mostly) unscathed. My goal was to get the training done this week to allow them to grow out during veg week 5 and pushing them that hard I managed to break not just 1 but 4 cola stems where they meet the main stem , this has never happened to me on this scale before. After some intensive surgery (duct tape and support) and some time in the ICU (new QB light) they have all luckily managed to heal and started pushing out new growth (phew). I must admit, they were a lot easier to break that I'm used to. I can't say for sure, but I think the light that I had on them the last 2 weeks made for weaker branch growth, they looked a little more... transparent and watery? Since putting the under the 240W QB at 70% power they have become stronger and growth (and recovery) has been undeniably better and greener and just more natural looking. While that ordeal was going on, in camp Organic things were a lot more chill. This lady is amazing, I love the way she grows and I love her structure. I wanted to grow her out naturally but I also wanted to keep a copy of her, so in the end I topped her . I think it's for the best anyway, it would be a bit too uneven on the canopy to grow a xmas tree on one side of the tent A picture is worth a thousand words right? So..: T1 (Alyssa): Finished off her training (note the 2 splits), like a dumbass I only noticed the top one when I got home from work that day: Noticed this weird alternate node branching, almost like an extra thumb : She filled out and recovered nicely: View of her structure: T2 (Amy) Training session underway (can't see in this pic but 2 stems also split during training): As she looks now: Her internals: T3 - Janis (Ms Organic) Topping complete: As she looks now (from the top): ...and giving her best pose from the side: Besides the stars of the show, my tent environment also got a bit of an overhaul. I was inspired by @420SA's ventilation setup. It was a why-didn't-I-think-of-that moment when I saw it. I basically treated my 2 tents as... well.. 2 tents whereas 420sa's setup basically linked the 2 tents and treated the ventilation as 1 tent. Inlet in the one and exhaust in the other and link the 2 tents with ducting... GENIUS! With this method I now have a spare Ø100mm fan. So here is my version: Inlet in the veg tent, decide to let the air come in through a carbon filter for extra filtering of nasties: Exhaust in tent 2: Just as a side note I'd like to comment on the bug barriers that you can get from the grow stores. I firmly believe that these guys have kept out some serious nasties from my grow and if you're letting air come in from the outside, these things are a must. Check this out from 14 weeks of use, I'll be replacing these more often from now on: A shot of the new one compared to the used one: Sorry for the long winded report.. enjoy your Sunday guys5 points

Saturday morning update. Filling out nicely. Mutant still not Growing that great. Will see what happens in flower. Gave them a good IPM treatment. Ludwig's spider mite and Broadband (Beauveria bassiana strain PPRI5339). Will be spraying every 2 days for a week. After that every 3-5 days until they start flowering. The reason for the combination is it targets spidermites in 2 stages of the lifecycle. eggs and adult.4 points

Fantastic post Johsis that is some serious dust/dirt/bug collected. Definitely clean that out more often, you don't want to choke your fans or limit the airflow too much. Great training too on the ladies, making me worry I wont get the best trained plant anymore3 points

Looking at the other updates I had to head off to the bush pub for a tequila and some Dutch Courage aka @Totemic Haunted Kush Cake before my report. Realized once again I'm out of my depth but that's how I roll and learn. Update and pics shortly.2 points

So we had to cut one head off the Russian fuel and 3 off the strawberry cola because we saw bud rot starting to form. The one thing you cant rescue. We spray AQSF, Biotricho, and bio insect once every week so I really wasn't expecting bud rot. The 3 fans run 24/7 and airflow is plenty. Luckily the heads we cut off are loaded with seeds and they look mature enough and fully formed. So the testers should be getting them sooner. That shiny residue on the leaves is tea tree oil. We took the flowers from the pollen jars with tweezers and used them as a brush to get almost all the rest of the pistils pollinated. So all together it's going well.2 points

I use the 3 part Flora series. I follow the chart on the bottle (hydro / coco, as I grow in coco). It has a chart for soil on the bottle, but never tried it. I will occasionally supplement with a few things or add a bit of my own concoctions but nute wise pretty much follow their chart and may taper down towards the end of flower due to the nute build up. If I water by hand, I mix enough for the watering. If I'm using my automatic watering, then I mix and keep it in the res with air stones and the plants get their nutes as required. June 24th - day 41 - 9 days veg left More of the same with #1 + #3: lightly squeezing the branches before bending them downwards. Removing the odd fan leaf covering growth below it while trying not to remove much at one go. #2 which was the slowest grower of the 3, received an experimentally-more-aggressive haircut with only 9 days veg left. Interested to see how it responds in the remaining veg time in comparison to the other 2. June 25 - day 42 - 8 days veg left 24 hrs after defoilation: #2 underskirt shot Sometimes #1 & #3 swap positions so they take turns to get the first whiff of the fresh air coming in on the right. #2 getting the ginger-step-child treatment but silently I'm cheering for her.2 points

Hi folks. 26 days into flower and things are looking good. Did a bit of inspection and feeding today. All the ladies have started pushing tricome development except for the GSC. Not sure whether it's the strain that grows like this or whether it's a poor iteration by the breeder/seed bank... Nevertheless all the other ladies are happily showing their flowering prowess. I will update with some bud pics of all the strains in the week. Bubblegum Twisted Helix Clones Tent view1 point

Shot bru, ya they been clawing from wet situations for a while now, except T3, so I think they all finally happily moist.1 point

Yeah, same. I found using an EC meter was simpler and more accurate that trying to stick to their schedule. That sounds like its worth looking at then. Thanks Perhaps this needs a new thread... but I'll ask here for now. Are you using the FloraCoco range? Just the three (grow + bloom + micro?) or did you go with the six? Are you mixing just enough for a day's watering or do you keep a small res? Are you following their chart or again using that only as a guide? I assume that the FloraCoco ones follow the Flora series chart https://edge.generalhydroponics.com/www/uploads/20210121184300/FloraSeries-Basic-Feed-Charts.pdf, I don't see a coco specific one. Seems like they should1 point

When I tried Hortimix I kinda just did my own thing and used their chart as a rough guide. Used my EC pen to get more accurate dosing as well, it works and it's cheap... But it is a bit of a hassle to be honest. I'm happy to spend a bit more and use different nutes to make life easier. I'm using GHE now and don't see myself moving away anytime soon. It's effortless, just works and oh so easy to dose. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Me too. Thanks @RedEye Thank you very much. If I read it properly it's for the 12/12 period. I presume Week 1, 0.6 EC carries over from the veg schedule?1 point

Happens dude. One bad bottle can throw everything off balance, but it is literally the last thing to troubleshoot i.e.. your nutrients.1 point

Happy to be onboard . It looks like there's some tough competition , good luck to all participants . I am so happy to be back in the community again , if anybody needs some advice drop me a dm Cheers1 point

pH balance, add ferts and then correct again or know what pH drop the ferts will cause and correct up front for that? I did try putting it in the res on its own for 1 hour before the ferts. I'm going to have to try a few more combinations, and especially try ferts on their own to rule out some issue there (all of a sudden)1 point

One of my favourites, from lockdown too. Can say what you want about lockdowns but being at home and being able to regularly pay attention really 'poured fuel on the fire' of my interest in growing this beautiful plant. There's a ton of knowledge on this forum and appreciate all I've already learnt here ✌1 point

Opened the tent after 2 days away and I could see I had some work to do. It was apparent that my res solution needed to be changed and upp'ed a level and that Ms Organic needed a bigger pot. Hungry ladies: I also noticed some funky growth on some of the leaves. T1 (right) had a an extra blade on one of the 5 finger leaves giving her 6 fingers and T2 (left) had a webbed duckfoot on one of her 3 finger leaves. T1's extra finger: T2's webbed duck foot: Things escalated from there pretty quickly , when I looked again I had topped T2, removed the weird growth and cleaned her up. This is an early topping for me but she looks vigorous enough to pull through quickly. Transplanted Ms Organic into her final pot: After a few hours, the girls got their colour back and were looking much happier: I'm still not too sure how I'm going to approach the training but if I stare at them long enough I'm sure it'll come to me1 point
