July 2 - 49 days since seeds got wet and the lights switched off this morning to mark the end of the veg light cycle of 18-6. Later today the lights come back on and will begin their 12-12 cycle to the promised land. Its FLIP Friday! Let's turn these little pot plants into bouquets of flowers I've added 2 rods under the pots to increase air-to-soil in the hope that will speed up consumption of water and therfore drying up of the soil in these cold and humid times. Will probably find something else to serve this purpose more effectively over the weekend.8 points

Is really the main point I want to bring up... anybody in here can reach my numbers if you go out of your comfort zone and push yourself. Yes, you will fuck up.. trust me, I did the "fuck up" thingy a lot. But with errors you learn and if you don't push, you stand still. Push yourself!8 points

Hi guys, so we harvested the Strawberry Cola auto at the first signs of amber on wednesday. She is absolutely packed with dark large seeds and has that classic old school cheese terps. Im so exited to start some Strawberry Vostok Regular Autoflower seeds. Thats what we decided to call the cross. Hope you guys like the new packaging. The rest are going well and the Russian Fuel will be getting chopped tommorow. Lots of purple autos are on the way. BTW we need testers who would like to push these indoors. Pre orders on the strawberry vostok's @GreenGrow Garden Route7 points

You know how to grow plants.. now you just need to get way more nasty with them SoG is a mess.. and you have to get your ventilation spot on with the amount of plants.. but you have to push it. I reached 976g per sq on that SoG grow, 2.34g/watt.. autoflowers. You don't need to train.. very relaxing SoG'ing ^^ with Autos. Just mold danger is very present...6 points

Dried and trimmed. Mother plants outdoors(not weighed) were washed through bags acquired from a certain Western Cape based retail and web store(thank you they work great). Bubble hash will be pressed and the rosin this weekend and gifted to my close circle. It's my first run pressing anything so I'm sure mistakes will be made, but this is how I prefer to learn. The tent yield was weak as expected. The nugs are solid and very pretty(more gifts to those close to me). I was please to note that there is very little larf and even the lower buds are solid. 178g(LOL!) total, of which less than say 5% is larf. This works out to 11.13g per plant, and 1.35g/W. The indoor plants roots impressed me the most, almost zero days worth of vegetative light cycle from clones taken 10 days prior. They were a white mat on the sides and bottom of the bags while still being well distributed through the media. Final thoughts... The lessons learned will be invaluable for future attempts at this or any growing method. A 240w QB will work in this space, but I feel more light will change the game. It's only my 3rd cannabis grow, and I'm happy to have made it to the end with no pests, deficiencies or toxicity issues. Did have a little overwatering, but picked up on that real quick. Last two pics I with no editing. X2 X16 points

Day 42 - day before the flip This week a did small amounts of defoliation every 2nd day. Thinking I might need to do some more though, T2 is looking mighty bushy. Here's where we're at. T1: I did the most defoliation on T1 so far. Nice canopy forming, still think I could trim a few more round the bottom edges. T2: The leaves are twisting in an attempt to get more light. I think I need more defoliation on this girl. T3: This girl is looking good, nice big fan leaves. I've let her go Christmas tree in hoping she sports a nice fat cola. Lastly a pic of the whole tent. I'm also growing a Dinafem Gorilla Auto at the back.5 points

Week 6 Update / Veg Week 5 I guess this is the last report before we need to flip to 12/12. I tried getting as much vegging and training done as I could and I hope I didn't put them through too much stress. This week consisted mostly of keeping the canopy flat (well, trying to) and mid-week defoliation before heading towards flower, except for the organic lady, I just let her be and her side growth has almost caught up to the topped growth so I'm happy about that. All in all I think I'm okay with going into flower. Before defoliation: T1 - Alyssa: T2 - Amy: After defoliation and a little more training: T1 - Alyssa (sadly couldn't save the one stem and it needed to come off ): T2 - Amy: The girls are now: T1 - Alyssa: T2 - Amy: . T3 - Janis: Current tent view - @The_StonedTrooper's clones will have to be shifted around between outside and tent to stay in veg while I wait for my other tent to finish up : Have a great weekend fam, good luck all with the next stage of our adventure5 points

Very impressive Mr prom! You gotta be on your mark to hit good numbers. And thats one of the biggest Ive heared. Then I was watching the future cannabis channel. This commercial guy in las vegus Steve Cantwell, he grows in beds and I quote what he says - ''4 x 4 bed'' now this I understand to be 1,2m2 sectioned off. "around 3 1/2 pounds per 4 x 4 (i think it was 6 plants) on our bad plants, if some thing yields less, it go out the door. To 5, 6 even 7 pounds per 4 x 4'', me pause video, WHAT DID HE JUST SAY.5 points

Hi everyone. This is my first 'real' grow. My pilot grow was bag seed and under only 60W for most of veg. Strains: Green House Seeds - Franco's Lemon Cheese. Barneys Farm - Gorilla Zkittlez Setup: 2 x 15 litre pots in a 1m x 0.5m cupboard conversion with a 240W QB from @Light It Up. I have the dimmer set to 120-180W through veg and then 240W during flower. Soil: Freedom Farm, green bag. Amended with Dirty Hands elemental blend and some extra goodies, kelp meal, insect frass, mycoroot and some earthworms from the garden. Mulched with alfalfa straw/hay. Nutrients: During veg I use Kelpak (first few weeks only), Biobizz Biogro (half-strength), Biobizz Activera and calmag(alternate weekly with Biodyne). During flower, I include Freedom Farm's Fire Juice, replace Biogro with molasses and give calmag more regularly. pH adjusted to 6-6.5 (shout out to @The_StonedTrooper for the pH pen!) Currently on day 32 of flower. I topped the zkittlez once and lemon cheese twice. I was hoping to fill out the screen but the zkittlez is much smaller. It didn't respond as well to supercropping and took longer to recover from the transplant. Also, I think I topped it a bit early and could've used another week in veg. Could be the strain, could be the seed, could be me. Can't complain too much though because those flowers smell and look amazing :) Flower day 12: day 26: day 31:4 points

Hey gents, so I've been using brown vinegar for years now with no issues. So new pen arrived today. You guys were laughing at me when I mentioned air bubble hey lol, the new pen doesn't have any air bubble in it and seems the probe is shorter than the old one on the right. Attached some pics of my last grow using brown vinegar and hortimix. I got no issues with brown vinegar lol Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk4 points

Yes, the IQ2 is the first herb vape I have used which has adjustable airflow and the airflow can be quite airy in comparison to all the other vapes I have tried which is generally a very restrictive pull. I quite like it half way open (2 clicks open), 3 and 4 clicks open are not bad either and for higher temps might work well. I will try tonight perhaps. For those who are wondering, the IQ2 has 5 airflow settings. Fully closed 1 click open 2 clicks open 3 clicks open 4 clicks open (Fully open) The IQ 2 seems to pool a lot of features together and makes for a very pleasant vape experience. It provides a refined overall vape experience.4 points

wow fok those are nice results bud!! not gona argue with that you can totally disregard what I am saying, because I am agreeing that you get good results, but remember "the exception proves the rule" and there is probably a good reason why we are all not using vinegar and why you got asked why you using the stuff. the air bubble hahah I try not even shaking my pen when I clean it and stuff just to save the tech inside that little bit longer. my pen came with a book with instructions and a box of stuff to maintain it, it cleary states don't shake the pen too vigorously or hit the sides of the pen against anything., though people say the one they have is indestructable, that again is an exception and it proves the rule, you hear WAY more stories bout them going to shit for no reason. lay them down without use for too long, fucked. swing them around, fucked. drop them once, fucked... they are quite sensetive little toys and the people who make them clearly warn a person to look after the thing as if it's a baby. I keep mine upright in a jar at all times, so the storage liquid don't run out. gets new storage liquid weekly. literally 2 drops, easy. gets cleaned and calibrated once a month or so. done.3 points

i have had too many double and triple thick milkshakes in my life to know that tryna suck icecream through a straw is not my favorite way to consume it lol. and that is what dry herb vapes remind me of when i am offered a try. for me, i like pulling on a joint as easy as it would be to breathe, or a completely restrictless bong hit haha!! so with the adjustable airflow it makes it a lot more attractive to me haha!!3 points

Well this is the thing, are clones really quicker than growing from seed if you take into account the germination process and the rooting process? Also the size of your cutting plays a role, a bigger cutting may save time compared to a smaller cutting. If growing from seed, I feel one should start counting from when the plant is in the medium but this will vary depending on germination method. I like to use paper towel and put into medium when I see tails, others pop the seeds straight into the medium and wouldn't be able to see when the tails show. For cuttings, I feel once again one can start counting once there are sufficient roots to be potted into the medium and/or once the cutting is in the medium. Still variances, although most of the time it's minor and in the bigger scheme of things doesn't really matter all that much, unless you are comparing your grow against someone else's.3 points

yeah, I get what you mean, but if you wana get technical, he didn't come in with an unrooted clone, he put an already rooted plant into a bigger pot to start off with. I take it as he got a clone from somewhere, be it his friend, his other tent, his aunty or whatever but the taking of the cut and the rooting of the clone wasn't shown as part of this grow. this is actually a valid topic of discussion hahah, if you get a clone from somewhere and go straight to a bigger pot and you are out giving reports on how long to veg a plant, do you tell people the included cutting and rooting time or do you just give the duration of time since you got it? cause in this case, and many others, I have seen the clones quite big already and can be concidered a month old plant already, so if you veg them 2 months to fill a space you should be saying it took you 3 months? so mr. coolJ is actually at 8/9 weeks veg and not 6 weeks? add on - if we pop a seed and it's at 1 month we don't disregard that 1st few weeks as part of the plants life, but we do with clones? or should we start counting Day 1 of Week 1 only when we can start feeding it and call it a plant already?3 points

Remember clones still take around 1 to 2 weeks to root. Feeding plants with nutes which are readily available speeds up growth for sure. Even in soil. 6 weeks from veg to flowers is typically what most do. @CoolJ Plants are looking great and healthy! Also keen to see how they turn out3 points

@Naughty.Psychonautthose are valid points, and the clones were rooted before transplanting. I only started counting when I got them and planted them in. I agree with @PsyCLownthat if it was a competition on days of growth or something like that the date of cutting is important. I'm not trying to fool anyone with the days of veg, it's just how I keep track. With seed I count from the day it popped up from the medium.2 points

The terpene profile on this is huge , after sitting for 24 hours it had a thick layer of terp sauce forming on top . Very heavy in mercene and linalool which makes it a serious sedative and relaxing extract. The client uses it for pain with great results .2 points

2 clicks, the only way for me, and tight oven, and small grind. I like how it tells you if you not pulling hard enough, and you can perfect your pull more than other vapes. For me More than 2 clicks is too much, but perfect for my mate, who doesn't know how to pull slow or soft. Tell him, slowly, and he basically pulls 2 times harder. Haha.2 points

Vinegar can actually be used to kill some unwanted weeds in the garden, it's suggested to spray them, because getting vinegar on the soil will even be bad luck for the plants wanting to grow there in the future. so you're kinda using a herbicide to feed your plants unless you're a real sciency guy and wana know a bunch about compound analysis and chemical interactions and put in the time to study the products you giving your plant, don't refer too much to alternatives. stick to using products that are made for plants, even then you'll have to study your products carefully so you don't mix the wrong stuff and what not. this will teach you the dicipline and importance of knowing what's going in your plants. only then I would say to allow yourself to dabble with alternatives and try to save a few rands here and there. first you gotta pay the school fees man.2 points

I got 3 singles from them in late 2019 - I was just dipping my toes in, early days in master grower journey. Like alot of people say, the delivery was quick and stealthy. All 3 grew out and flowered beautifully. Seemed like solid genetics to me. Swiss Cheese was not so cheesy though, high wasnt anything special either ( maybe you should try a few more than one plant next time dude! OK). But the Ak48 and Blue Dream were baie lekker. Will try find my pics from my old broken phone...2 points

Fuck yeah. That's pretty cool man. I have a mate that is now switching his entire grow to your branded pots as it just serves him so well and really allows him to pack his 1m×1m tent. He only has good things to say about the quality, form and function of the grow bags. All of the best to you and your business. May you thrive and succeed in becoming a household name for growers2 points

@Naughty.Psychonaut Thanks man , Growing is one of my big passions in life , having a lot of fun in the competition To answer your question (do I have anything to do with the Mantis brand) Yes I am the founder of Mantis and have an amazing team that makes the grow bags. Made by growers for growers As for the plant/pot stands, they do help a bit with aeration but is mainly there to make it easier to test the runoff (ppm, PH, and amount) per plant just to give me some guesstimate to what they are eating and drinking2 points

Mid week update - 3 applications of bb done, will not be doing any other IPM measures. Will be doing a decent feed going into flowering, fish / epic / molasses / fulvic extract / microbes and aminos. This soil is depleted of nitrogen quite severely, not a terrible thing, but it will need to be managed as we go through flower.2 points

Things were generally built to last back in the day. Nowadays companies put a lifetime on each product (Planned obselecence sp? ) Call it corporate greed or a lack of quality materials due to overmining or whatever. [emoji17] Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk1 point
