Flip day. Mid term report. Firstly sorry for the overload of pics. 55 days since seeds put in water. 49 days since seedlings have been in soil. So I planted directly into a 10l pot and stunted growth due to soil still being waay to wet in my opinion. I carefully removed plants and repotted into smaller pots. Soil in 10l pots I spread out to dry then added extra perlite. It seems to have helped but I think the soil still stays on the damp side for a long time. Plants recovered somewhat after two weeks in the smaller pots and were repotted into the 10l pots. They still seem to be battling though. Temps max: 28.6 min: 16.4 RH max: 71 min: 39 Water 750ml once a week or so. Feed & nutes: Tried Epsom salts in the water a while back. The second last water I gave a half dose of GHE tri part. Bio neem spray every two weeks. Not very happy at this stage but on the bright side I can see a root or two popping out the bottom of the pot. I think that's everything covered.6 points

Hi everyone. This is my first 'real' grow. My pilot grow was bag seed and under only 60W for most of veg. Strains: Green House Seeds - Franco's Lemon Cheese. Barneys Farm - Gorilla Zkittlez Setup: 2 x 15 litre pots in a 1m x 0.5m cupboard conversion with a 240W QB from @Light It Up. I have the dimmer set to 120-180W through veg and then 240W during flower. Soil: Freedom Farm, green bag. Amended with Dirty Hands elemental blend and some extra goodies, kelp meal, insect frass, mycoroot and some earthworms from the garden. Mulched with alfalfa straw/hay. Nutrients: During veg I use Kelpak (first few weeks only), Biobizz Biogro (half-strength), Biobizz Activera and calmag(alternate weekly with Biodyne). During flower, I include Freedom Farm's Fire Juice, replace Biogro with molasses and give calmag more regularly. pH adjusted to 6-6.5 (shout out to @The_StonedTrooper for the pH pen!) Currently on day 32 of flower. I topped the zkittlez once and lemon cheese twice. I was hoping to fill out the screen but the zkittlez is much smaller. It didn't respond as well to supercropping and took longer to recover from the transplant. Also, I think I topped it a bit early and could've used another week in veg. Could be the strain, could be the seed, could be me. Can't complain too much though because those flowers smell and look amazing :) Flower day 12: day 26: day 31:3 points

The soft switch deadline has arrived and before I miss it I have then officially flipped The One and made space for her in my already pretty full flower tent! Plans were made and I have found her a space. I did a final little clean up of the lower branches as with this training technique I have found in the past that keeping the lower branches has always resulted in airy buds, so I'd prefer the energy being diverted to the tops. Otherwise, haven't changed much. I will do one more feed at 1ml/L of the Gro/Micro/Bloom and thereafter start with the preflower nutes, say in a week or so. Before After3 points

Morning my fellow Grow Offers.. So it's flip day.. The girls are looking all perky this morning and nr 2 will go into Flower on Monday only though.. Will push my luck a wee bit.. Just want to get about an inch of extra growth on her.. I'm kicking myself for not having them under a propper light from earlier on. Have a flipping awesome day..3 points

Yep, for Autos you don't really have to put a backup light in. They don't care and follow their timer. Autos are the easy work around to load shedding. Even stage 6 or more, is annoying, but doesn't stress the plant. If there would be a way to clone autos.. would only grow those. Looking very good.. just go on with what you do.. you do it right3 points

The first few that went into flower early are almost ready . Well done again @Totemic I am well impressed and can't wait for the rest and the first smoke test3 points

So new update: Flip day!! Woo hoo it's time people. So I have done some defoliation and training for maximum light penetration. Watered with ph water with a solution of vermigrow. Let the race continue.2 points

5 seeds, 4 plants, and all 4 grow completely different. I got the fake Charlottes Web from the same seed bank.. and as one of the plants is going black.. what a Pini shouldn't do.. I think i got 18 fake seeds from Canada. I wrote Pacific Seed Bank my opinion.. never heard anything back from the guys. I finish and see.. right now. I grow the plants with not a lot of enthusiasm2 points

for autos and load shedding the stress will come more from there not being airflow. but that's the same in all cases, not autos only autos don't grow according to light cycles. you can even flower them perfectly fine on a 18/6 cycle also if you got PM or any other mold spores floating around in the tent already the 2/3hrs of no airflow may allow them to settle and find a spot they like.2 points

Wow thanks man, I am halfway there, expanded a brick, washed it outside with the hose for about ten minutes. I will test the runoff to see if I need more rinsing. Then over night into calmag :) Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk2 points

Day 42 - day before the flip This week a did small amounts of defoliation every 2nd day. Thinking I might need to do some more though, T2 is looking mighty bushy. Here's where we're at. T1: I did the most defoliation on T1 so far. Nice canopy forming, still think I could trim a few more round the bottom edges. T2: The leaves are twisting in an attempt to get more light. I think I need more defoliation on this girl. T3: This girl is looking good, nice big fan leaves. I've let her go Christmas tree in hoping she sports a nice fat cola. Lastly a pic of the whole tent. I'm also growing a Dinafem Gorilla Auto at the back.2 points

July 2 - 49 days since seeds got wet and the lights switched off this morning to mark the end of the veg light cycle of 18-6. Later today the lights come back on and will begin their 12-12 cycle to the promised land. Its FLIP Friday! Let's turn these little pot plants into bouquets of flowers I've added 2 rods under the pots to increase air-to-soil in the hope that will speed up consumption of water and therfore drying up of the soil in these cold and humid times. Will probably find something else to serve this purpose more effectively over the weekend.2 points

OH you!!! #Blush!! I just hit a bong and have gone blank But yea, for me, I put a tub in the shower and let it rain down for a while (my totes have drainage holes so draining the water out is a breeze) ... A 5 kilo coco brick will expand anywhere from 60-80 litres of coco... If you do not have a EC or ppm pen to test the run off, I have found that........ Once hydrated with however much it takes you to hydrate it........ From that point I would run 60-80l sometimes 100l of water to get the coco flushed properly, even if it says buffered coco... Still wash the fuck out of it. Then you must have your calmag mix ready.... 60g per 5kg brick is fine.. Dissolve it into 20l and pour over the coco and then agitate the coco well to mix in the calmag which will fill the open cation sites, or will exchange cation sites with potassium.... Leave it for 30 min or over night, and then rinse the coco again with 60 - 80l of water and drain. Your coco is now ready for anything you want in it! Fresh coco is the hardest to work with... If you reuse your coco it gets easier to use, washing it after eash harvest of coarse1 point

Wow, I didn't know you had to store it in a storage solution. Thanks, I'll look into it. You learn so much on this forum. Thanks again1 point

Twisted leaves, I'd think are like us with lemon juice in our mouth, we pull twisted cheeks, so thinking similar. Your pH pen, do you store it in storage solution? If not, and a cheap or cheaper one, you probably have a bad bulb now, or even microscopic deterioration on the bulb from nutrients, or similar. They are known to be the most cost effective bulbs used and they can come defective from the factory. You need to look after that bulb, it reads liquid, through a material, and needs to be moist to be fresh, and therefore accurate. Plant 2 with twisted leaves1 point

Hi guys, so we harvested the Strawberry Cola auto at the first signs of amber on wednesday. She is absolutely packed with dark large seeds and has that classic old school cheese terps. Im so exited to start some Strawberry Vostok Regular Autoflower seeds. Thats what we decided to call the cross. Hope you guys like the new packaging. The rest are going well and the Russian Fuel will be getting chopped tommorow. Lots of purple autos are on the way. BTW we need testers who would like to push these indoors. Im not sure what you mean.. But the chosen one, nr 2, will be moved to my flower tent and flowered under a 600W HID.. This is the Light that will be upgraded to another QB.. The other two girls will stay under the QB in vege with the other seedlings..1 point

i have had too many double and triple thick milkshakes in my life to know that tryna suck icecream through a straw is not my favorite way to consume it lol. and that is what dry herb vapes remind me of when i am offered a try. for me, i like pulling on a joint as easy as it would be to breathe, or a completely restrictless bong hit haha!! so with the adjustable airflow it makes it a lot more attractive to me haha!!1 point

Morning growmies. So a day before flip and I decided nr 2 will be flowered and the other two I will play around with till I'm happy to flip them.. They seem healthy and happy for now..1 point

Week 6 Update / Veg Week 5 I guess this is the last report before we need to flip to 12/12. I tried getting as much vegging and training done as I could and I hope I didn't put them through too much stress. This week consisted mostly of keeping the canopy flat (well, trying to) and mid-week defoliation before heading towards flower, except for the organic lady, I just let her be and her side growth has almost caught up to the topped growth so I'm happy about that. All in all I think I'm okay with going into flower. Before defoliation: T1 - Alyssa: T2 - Amy: After defoliation and a little more training: T1 - Alyssa (sadly couldn't save the one stem and it needed to come off ): T2 - Amy: The girls are now: T1 - Alyssa: T2 - Amy: . T3 - Janis: Current tent view - @The_StonedTrooper's clones will have to be shifted around between outside and tent to stay in veg while I wait for my other tent to finish up : Have a great weekend fam, good luck all with the next stage of our adventure1 point

duuude fuck yeah that is awesome, you're doing a heck of a job promoting youself here as I am also looking into buying some mantis pots for myself!!! they so sexy man! what will be the product lines of focus for you? more equipment than nutes and stuff? I see you got your know how on those nutes man, plants are exploding with growth! all the best brother and may your business thrive just like those beauties that you got thriving there!!! add on - looking at the mantis pots that freedom farms sell, I can't find the ones with the big cannabis leaf on. I am looking online so maybe just not spotting them. Do they have the ones you're using?1 point

All the girls got new homes. Found my two old fabrics and picked up a new one. Soils was damp so I removed a bit on the outer layer and potted into fresh soil. The roots were obviously not happy. Went from the 15cm to 3 gals. Quick photo before my battery died Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

A mate reminded me I should have the fans aimed at the canopy. Sometimes I overlook the most important things. I ended up defoliating selectively in order to maximize canopy surface area, aka a bit of both.1 point

Judging Criteria Plants are judged on their condition when the grower states they are finished, however other factors are considered in the process as well, such as: How consistent was the grow - minimal hiccups along the way How well the chosen training technique was executed Maximum utilization of light General good growing practices Plant Condition Judging Criteria Bud size and condition Plant colour Minimal burn Minimal leaf clawing Minimal leaf cupping Minimal pest infection Lack of deficiencies Number of bud sites No signs of stunting Plant size - this plays a roll but plant size must be accompanied by quality. As varying training techniques will produce varying sized plants. The size of a plant won't weigh heavily in judging. No excessive stretching Judging Panel @Totemic @PsyCLown @420SA @Green Leaf Organics - a late but very welcome judge addition1 point

@ORGANinc. this bra won't be back for another week, so I'll answer you in the meantime The Terra Aqua is next level btw, I'm also using it mixed with worm casting.1 point

Day 40 - 16 Days Before Flip The One is nearly ready for LST, just waiting for a little bit more length on the branches before beginning. It will definitely be in the next update. Otherwise continuing with the same nutrient regime as stated before, fed once since last update. 16 days until the planned flip so I think I will have just gotten the training done in time.1 point
