It's also important to remember that pheno expression is environmentally triggered. A prize pheno may grow spectacularly in my space, and the same pheno expresses different in the next tent based on the inputs4 points

Got some dry ice and turned the Gelato cut offs into some hash. I only used 180 micron to pre sif and 120 micron for the Gelato Ball... smells freaking delicious!4 points

Imagine you own such a business, and then you have public news and reports of having such an issue, you wouldn't be around long if that was the case. They have a standard and reputation to uphold, You can get other fenos yes, but they might not always be better, it the chance you take with a seed, and they remove that guess out of the equation. Great discussion actually3 points
-
I'm not sure that would be true, as they would want to sell the best they could, to keep you coming back and to keep themselves in business, I'd think. Would it not be silly to sell something less attractive, if you could? Then those people aren't doing themselves a favor. Like a breeder, who sells their prize winning strains.3 points

I agree with @Ill_Evan no ways will you find anyone dishing out or selling enmasse to the public, their prized pheno.... Some decent ones yes... But what you really wanna be growing.... Likely not. And then pests like @Marzcanna said... You don't want anything funky coming your way... Better the devil you know than the devil you don't...3 points

Only issue I have with clones from other sources rather than my own garden is that I'm not sure of the pheno I'm receiving. The other concern for me is pests, one in particular spider mites as they are difficult to spot in small numbers but anyone who's had to battle with them knows just a few gone unnoticed is a ticking time bomb3 points

Hey all, So I am sure most of you have seen a few places pop up and more companies starting to offer clones. I must admit, I am in 2 minds about companies doing this, that is besdies the point the. I am curious to find out from those who have purchased clones, what did you get and have you grown it out? How was it? Was the pheno any good? Was it what you expected? Better? Were you a bit disappointed perhaps? If you guys have photos of the clones in flower, would be amazing! Just trying to get a general feel for how you guys feel about it and the quality of the phenos which you ended up with.2 points

A quick question... With WPM seing as it is systemic... Could a clone carry it without you knowing?2 points
-
Precisely, as I have a Mad Berry grown, and growing again now, as well as at a mate, and all 4 plants are purple, But have a guy growing a clone from the same plant, but his hasnt got purple at all on it. Added, everything is the same, clone, soil, lights. Just the nutrients he is using2 points

Haven't come across them yet, maybe because I am not looking... I think it's a good idea for guys just getting started, skip the whole seeding stage and all. If you have seen a flowering version of the clone it also helps I guess. I don't really see guys giving out their best phenos just sommer because profit, so I'd initially question whether it's been specially selected or just simply a seed chuck and a random couple mothers that are then cloned. Nothing beats buying a dozen or two regulars and picking out a pheno yourself, in my humble opinion. But what do I know, I am a measly 'Proficient' cannabis grower2 points

I've gotten clones sent to me by a person who bought clones from them, and they are all winners, I havent got one I dont like or enjoy smoking. Now starting to make a small side line business of clones of my own strains and feno, and give the EC guys a option. I think, if you got a good feno, you cutting out the hunt for one and can get it straight away, know it's good and not going to disappoint you. But you need to be careful too, some are after money only2 points

Fully agree with you man. He pulled a Lance Armstrong and got caught for good. Fuck weed suspension but EPO is on amother level. I got Cory all the way. His last 2 fights against Marlon Moraes and Frank Edgar was exceptional. He has the full arsenal of MMA skills to challenge for the title. His loss against Sterling taught him a lot. But then again who can put up a fight against Yan and expect to win (except if he disqualifies himself. Lol)2 points

TJ has ALOT to lose if he doesn't perform here coming back from the doping ban. That said Cory has a super opportunity to shine for the boss man Dana. As we saw with Kris "the punching bag" Moutinho(LOL), fight of the night can change your world in minutes. That hunger may just give him the edge over TJ.2 points

The issue is, I will then need multiple bottles of the Eco Insect Control to make enough as a soil drench for my plants as I give my plants the same amount as if it is a normal feed for them to ensure the coco gets fully drenched. Anyways, I did apply the BioNeem, BioInsek and some other stuff to help the fungus and plants out last night as a soil drench. I just hope it works, may place another order for more Bio Insek too and do another drench next week... Perhaps get another bottle or 2 of the Eco Insect Control and do another drench at higher strength - perhaps go for less L per pot this time around as the BioNeem won't last for another soil drench as I did last night. I did check the cuttings though and there seemed to be fewer root aphids on the roots from what I could see and tell and the cuttings looked a lot happier (root wise).2 points

Will have to make some now.. Thought I will get away with one.. But 3.. Shit.. They popped precisely 7 days after the 1st one..2 points

Alrighty then we are coming up on that time I am going to post the update pics in order of how I took them this time just out of convenience as I have three different angles for each plant. I am also going to post the other plants I am growing just for comparisons sake. There's a bunch of pics to follow so I will do my quick summary here rather than after. One of the Tortoni's, T#6 has been developing some nanners so I am going to chop her tomorrow morning after setting up my drying net. The nanners are very isolated and look very new so I do not think they would have had time to do too much damage. Time will tell if any seeds developed in her or in any other of the ladies. When I give her the chop I am going to give the back plants a closer look as I will have a bit more space to do so. T#10 has the thickest and most complete queen cola out of all the Tortonis and she has the most green and lack of purple out of all the Tortonis. T#5 may be short, but her buds are all nice and consistent in size, she's like a mini version of T#10 but with a little more purple hues. T#8 has the most developed bottom nuggets I have ever seen on any plant I have ever grown in my life, I just forgot to take a pic of them but I will next time. They look like nuggets you would find in the middle of the plant but they are the most bottom which I usually get undeveloped meh buds, but not this lady. T#9 has the deepest colour of purple out of all the Tortonis and is a bit like T#8 in shape and size but the bottom nugs don't seem as developed or as large. Otherwise still a good few clear trichomes on the Wedding Cake and one or two of the Tortonis. Trickles of amber are appearing throughout all the plants so end of month is still looking like perfect harvest timing. The Choc Gelato is the tiniest plant of the lot, super small but I am hoping she packs some tasty flavour. The Zkittles x Purple Punch has some really stellar compact trichomes, it wows me every time. Wedding Cake T#5 Choc Gelato T#10 T#6 T#9 T#8 Zkittles x Purple Punch2 points

I snapped the main stem off when it was still in veg, so the oo Blueberry is half the size it would've been. I think I may have learned my lesson with the next 2, LST working as planned. Schedule of watering plus nutes seems most optimal so far.1 point
