Week 11 Update / Flower Week 5 Still having fun this side and the differences in the phenos are getting accentuated now. From the wispy thin sativa-ish leaves of T1, to the tall and vigorous T2 and the short and stocky T3. Tent Overview: T1 - Back right: T2 - Back left: T3 - Front left:8 points

Zkittle#3 last lady in the tent now. Seems this pheno will be making smaller buds than her sisters. I've noticed a lot of cases same genetics making smaller buds when they're more resinous, but this does not seem to be the case here, although I have to mention that she stinks waaaaayy better than her sisters, getting the closest to a true zkittle smell from her out of the 3 phenos. I am already seeing 50% milky trichomes (which I like) but no amber trichomes inside the buds yet (so no chop yet) I am allowing another 2 weeks max (hopefully she puts on a little weight) after 2 weeks still not getting amber and buds still same size she will get the chop nonetheless. I would've assumed the cold will push her to finish quicker, but maybe it's too cold and slowing things down a bit. seeing as she's the only one in the tent I'll give her 24 to 48hr dark periods during the last week to see if I can help the final push and help with trichome ripeness. I have to say I am more excited to get this space all cleaned out and filled up again with the next run than I about the bounty of the current grow.4 points

My autopot trays in a 1,5m x 1,5m space. Even this is crowded and I’ll probably run 6 pots in future.2 points

Can anyone please assist I'm totally overwhelmed with this veggies chart supplied with hortimix and don't have the slightest clue of what dosages to start with or what rate to increase strength or max strength for seedlings/veg and flower.. I'm totally lost and need some guidance for setting up a basic schedule for doing autoflowers and short photo grows of no more than 3/4 months Thanks in advance I'm running autopots with 60/40 coco perlite mix1 point

Picture of the Lemon OG Haze from Nirvana.. good seeds, 13 from 15 so far. I really hope they have Lemon taste.. will put a bit of a effort in those.1 point

Just wanted to read up.. then ran into this at Hydroponics.co.za ... Is about all you need. For your Autoflowers, you have to watch the plants a bit to see when you add the MPK. If you do not really know what I mean.. just send me the link to the seeds you want to run and I tell you what week you add the MPK and what ratios you give per week. Autos are faster.. so you have to run a bit more aggressive feeding regime. https://hydroponic.co.za/hortimix-nutrient-preparation-and-usage-table/?gclid=CjwKCAjwpMOIBhBAEiwAy5M6YGmKOCn501qy1vh73xJ3mZDrbtYm0RVWLNSTTI9qqpKbutE-2C6KnhoCLIwQAvD_BwE1 point

Good Morning ^^ First change to normal Photo plants.. don't repot! Put the seed directly in the final pot. I don't know the hortimix. As you shouldn't repot, changing the soil mix is more difficult on Autos. The plants should go auto flip around week 3 to week 4, keep an eye on it and swap your feeding regime.1 point

Add perlite to the top, thats exactly what I did with my organics in autopots.1 point
-
Perlite also floats to the top so you will be fine as mentioned above. If you do have the airstone domes at the bottom I would assume that the air will anyway go/pump upwards and no need to worrie if you want to do a cut out , maybe make the stem cut out not to small and tight and leave a 2-3 cm open around the stem Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk1 point

I could be wrong, but Perlite is organic You can definitely do that on top, and I have done so to prevent gnats and drying out. After a few days or so, the perlite compacts and it wont go anywhere. You'll be fine with that, and it will make a huge difference1 point

Can anyone possibly assist me in what my starting dose should be and max feeding for outoflowers in coco using hortimix1 point

Ja and I actually decided against using the DIY electronic timer I had made, becaused I wanted something more tested for the competition. LOL! (I think the sonoffs use an esp8266. My DIY one does too, so I really should have gone that way) The mechanical ones are also a total pain with loadshedding. So yeah, I'm going to move over asap. Thanks. Yes I think I must pull out, it seem the most reasonable option for me. I'll keep posting though, as it will be interesting to see how and when they finish now. It does a bit :) But at least now I know what is going on. My main goal with entering the competition was to learn more. Between the fertilizer and this its been more than worth it for me. So I'm chilled. Thanks everyone :)1 point

All the Tortoni's came out the drying tent last night for a trim. Got some nice full looking jars and plenty trim spinning in the 'ol Butter Machine right now for isolate capsules. Going to wait until about Wednesday before dipping in for a cheeky test smoke and an update pic the buds are oily as hell and smell ridiculously good.1 point

Unfortunately I've had to go to another province for two weeks and leave my plants. I've left instructions on how to water them for my girlfriend. And I really hope she doesn't mess anything up and my plants survive[emoji28]. I'm trying to get her to send me pics to that I can update my grow diary. So if I get them, I will update, otherwise my next update will be on Wed 19th Aug when I'll be back to tend to them myself Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk1 point

Tonight was the night. Just as the plants woke up into their morning sunrise (my evening) I checked the pots, nice and light, and made the chops. The total flowering time was 8+ weeks. I took pictures in three angles of each plant after I had removed the majority of the foliage first. The angles are of the full plant, a close up of the main cola, and then the very bottom buds of each plant because I think they really stood out for me in terms of their development and size. With the benefit of seeing how they grew now I think I could really nail them on the second or third run by limiting the lower branches a bit more aggressively and see what kind of monstrous buds I could get like that, the genetics are definitely there for yield! From a purely growing point of view, T#10 in my opinion had the best and fullest development from the middle branches and main cola, not the tallest but also not the shortest... maybe I will call her Goldilocks her lower buds on the other hand were the least developed. So I would try limiting the lower branches aggressively on the next run and try for a more slender profile. Could be a good way to pack in as many plants together side by side with something like this The best in terms of terpenes at harvest is the shortest plant T#5. She has the most intense smell of gelato ice-cream, a very sweet scent with a hint of vanilla and sugar. The last two plants T#9 and T#8 are very similar. They don't have as much gas as the first two, but there's something cosmic about their lollipop looking buds that I like. I want to experiment with this a bit in future. I feel it will be one of these two that will get the chop, and at the end of the day three lovely phenos will be kept for some future endeavors not bad from a pack of 10 regulars I rate Next will be the smoke report in say... two weeks? The area has been quite dry for me here in the highveld at this time. The hermie I chopped last week dried in the drying tent for about 5 days before being popped in the jars for 4 days and I had a cheeky puff puff. I am quite satisfied as is, very clean and slow come up it only gets me more excited to try out and share the various phenos to see what the consensus is. The potency is highly present I'll be making isolate capsules with the trim T#10 T#5 T#9 T#81 point

Hey brother, I'll take a chance and are you asking about the wood vinegar? It's got a multitude of uses actually, my main need and use for this will be in order of preference... 1. For PM right up through flowering. 2. Foliar feed while doing the above, adding flavour, smell and amount of fruits, and or flower (used in Orchid's and farming) I will be doing the test runs and currently have one plant I've run 2 times, and running the third now, and was an issue with PM, so this will be a good in practice run. I shall also report on the flavors and we will all surely see the difference in my further grows. My honest, and transparent opinion as always to follow.1 point

So quick update now that I have had a chance to sample everything and finish trimming. OG Kush - looks cool, smokes nicely, very nice night time smoke I find. Yield was good at just over 80g Gelato - looks alright, what I would consider average in terms of frost. Smoke is decent. Nothing to write home about IMO though. Wouldn't mind it hitting a little harder or lasting a little longer. Yield was alright at just over 70g. I need to still take pics of the LSD-25, however it surprised me yield wise as I got around 100g dry from it. Did not look as heavy as the scale said though, I weighed it more than once. Smoke wise, it is ok but a little on the weaker side and was a bitch to trim due to the green leaves and purple bud and the bud structure which is shitty. The Pluto Cut, smoke is not as bad as I thought it might be but it looks terrible, the smoke surprised me actually. The way it looks is my fault though, seems it died and I left it in the tent so the colour disappeared and frost isn't there at all. This is the Pluto cut after a quick trim.1 point
