  1. Here are the prophesied pictures. As you can see, the tops of my colas have elongated, and the leaf tips are soft and rounded, indicating imminent reveg. Absolutely unsure why she is doing that as none of the other flowering plants have any issues with the way they are flowering... Thank goodness I flipped before the flip deadline so I can see how these ladies finish if they fatten up from here on out, I will have some ultra sexy colas that will need some support

  3. Hi folks, Currently on day 72 of flower and started chopping down the rest of the clones (1 Palomino and 3 Twisted Helix). The remaining mother plants will be getting the chop either on Friday or Saturday. This time round I had to opt for a semi wet trim as I had the PM issue. The Palomino clone is my favourite plant I have grown to date. Just love her looks, smell and resistance. 10. Hey Fam, Hope you all are well today, peace and blessings to you all. Many of you may already know, that I am in partnership with a very close and good friend, and are building an Eastern Cape (PE) based craft cannabis company, that for a while, and for now, has been making a organic living soil, that you all have seen me using for a while now, all without and or very little input other that water. Now for me, it would be easy to run a side by side, and compare and give actual honest and transparent feedback, although I still feel this wouldnt be fair and not at all right in terms of who I am as a person. I've spoken to @donnob and he has agreed to the following... I will give him the sample soil of @Thrive and the same size sample soil of mine. Donate 2 or 3 of the same clones, pheno and size. These will be rooted in my soil, on its second run, in small pots. It will be up to @donnobto decide if he will run 2 or 3 and purchase another brand of soil, one which the forum could decide on together, probably FF green bag, and he can, when the grow off is done. Do this side by side? How do we feel and vote on this family...

  11. I don't think covering the top is our answer here, because it's not your lights or airflow that's causing the drying of the top medium, but rather a poor wicking if I am understanding correctly? It was our good man @CreX who made a short threada while ago regarding this Key words are "capilary action" maybe give this a looksee? you could research more, but it's a good starting point, because that seems to be where your problem lies. maybe look into adding some peatmoss or good quality coco to your medium?

  13. Of course all input are valid and will be considered, My personal feeling is, that you going to have all three 3 of them using different variables of feeds of waterings, and will always be that way unfortunately, but willing to debate or understand better? I dont feel the Thrive soil will take only water and such, and will probably need to be fed sooner, and thought it would be more fair, to run each soil, on their preferred inputs. And the forum, as a whole, decided what was given and when, and we could all participate in this, in a virtual way. Ideas?

  16. So with a heavy heart. My tent being taken down once again. This with a lot of excitement of my own property in the rurals though. Everything will be going to a friend as i will have to reduce my grow space and power uptake... With the smaller space i feel i wil pay more attention too Ignore the temp and humidity lol. Was a fresh chop. Currently sitting at 52% rh and 18 degC Unfortunately outdoor is not a option other than for suppimentary light ... To be continued

  17. Seems like an fair way of getting an understanding of soils and their make-ups However, if this is done, all Soils should be on PAR to some extent. The FF green bag will require feeding down the line. I suggest you use Jamies Soil Orgasoilux, if all bags are going to be running solely on innoculations and water.

  20. If you are a local breeder and have very clean fruit tasting profile in your creation(s).. please let me know, I would like to buy some of those beans and test.. clear fruit tastes, Lemon, Strawberry, Passionfruit, Banana, .... what ever you have and can be identified as a clear and distinguished fruit.

  21. I fully admit it wasn't worth the R200 saving. The guy says he KNOWS I tore it during setup...but it's not torn, it's the stitching. Anyway he's not happy I'm mentioning it, he threatened to come and say something about me. He did offer to upgrade me to the 80cm tent for a R300 charge, but I simply don't have the space...and the obvious. I must black out the window more, it's close to light proof though. Thanks mate, I'll have a go at stitching, but will get the silver/aluminium duct tape as well. You're right, I didn't see the full extent of the mould until I was done. I'll clean it today, haven't flipped yet. A mate is concerned it has deficiencies. No-name, most materials decent, bad stitching. New. But I'm going to drop it now because I don't want some stupid beef and then get stabbed in the head or shot in the scrote or something, all kinds of people out there. You never know. I don't want to get True Crimed.

  22. Hi @MrE hope you got a real good deal on that tent I see you gona be flowering in there, just wana make sure you don't get light leaks from those open duct ports with the fans in them. Does the room the tent is in black out completely or are you doing something else to prevent light coming in there? as for the hole, tape would probably work, you know the aluminium tape all the grow shops sell? use that to cover the hole from the inside. once done with this grow I would highly suggest getting it stitched to prevent further tearing on the seam. It's literally easy as pie, you could stitch it by hand if you know how to cross stitch. A kid could do it. If you know anyone with a sewing machine, even better. Will be a 2min job and save you a whole tent. then the mold.... damn brother..... you don't think it would've served you better to clean the tent before bringing a plant over? I would take that tent outside in the warm sun and wash it down with every disinfectant I own a couple times over and I would let it stand for a few days to see if nothing grows again before bringing a plant in. especially a plant that's so close to flower and I can't really do many IPM treatments on her anymore.

  24. I think you may end up with issues using they soil. Perhaps give it a bit of time, see how the plants do and decide from there. If you don't experience issues you might be able to get away with it, otherwise repot into some other soil to help make life easier until harvest. Nothing wrong with being conscious of pricing or trying to save some bucks, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a bomb setup or afford one, so work with what you've got. 25. I'm a coco guy myself but when it comes to soil I truely believe in mixing your own soil, I know the guys here like FF and I don't have anything against it or any other soil brand for that matter but I have gotten more consistency out of my own soil mix than some of the brands out there, just anther option to look at if you want to save some cash

  26. @PsyCLown@Naughty.Psychonaut@GGG Thank you, guys . Lesson learnt. *Note to self, don't mention being a tight arse on 420sa, you'll be schooled. haha Do you guys think I should go get some trusted soil for the next repot? Or should I finish what I have on this grow and go the right way from there? Anything I can do to this existing soil to ensure it's okay?

  27. From another view point regarding spending for soil, if you trade indoor bud for money( against the law) then it's between 2-3 grams if I remember the prices right. You will most definitely get more yield than that 2-3 grams if you do a tried and tested consistent soil . It's well worth it buddy. I never skimp on soil [emoji39] Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk

  30. We all needed to start somewhere, I too made some silly mistakes when I first started growing. I bought a bunch of autoflower seeds, thinking it would be easier. Luckily I had some members on the forum willing to help and was gifted some nice photoperiods to start with, along with some bagseed to try germinate. Once you are comfortable with the growing process, if you have the money, go for some better and higher end genetics. If not, get some cuttings or find those cheaper gems from local breeders or the cheaper breeders. For indoor, lighting makes a massive difference. Try not to skimp on lights. Then genetics will also make a massive difference, far more of a difference then nutes, secret potions, growing medium (soil, hydro, coco) etc. I feel a lot of products are marketed to try and improve your plants, but ultimately the genetics determine how great the plant can be. The good nutes, environment and so forth just further assist the process and help the plant reach its full potential. If you want frost, no fancy expensive nutes or potions will get you there - genetics will. Just an example

  34. Hi folks, So currently sitting on day 63 of flower and it looks like I avoided a total PM cluster f*ck. The Bubblegum and her clones were removed from the tent and harvested on day 60. Only a couple of days shy of her 9 week window. Trichome was for the most part cloudy and PM only isolated to a couple of leaves that were removed prior to hanging. I will also have to look at the N balance with the next grow. As pointed out by @The_StonedTrooper might have had a little bit too much. Now in the final week and will systemically check trichome for the harvest window. Tortoni #2 Tortoni #1 GSC Palomino + clone Twisted Helix Tent view Bubblegum

  35. No, the plants don't monster crop on this. The florigen hormone levels reach a point after day 10-14, where plants actually need to go through a reveg cycle to reduce the Flowering hormone levels. A 5 day flip and back to vegging, the plant is still in veg mode and will continue to veg as normal, however the primordial calyx or balls will develop enough for you to see clearly

  36. @Bay Seeds also made a good move here as to have their seed grown out by a guy who knows what he is doing, the richness that really matters (knowledge and experience in this case) and having their genetics portrayed in a good light. the last thing I meant is that you are rich financially and that's why you're getting a free seed.

  39. whats up growmies! i have left my phone somewhere and my pics are on the phone for the update. i think its at home so ill check it tonight - and add pics lol flowering development is coming along well... but my lady seems to have gone into a bit of a reveg or something? i did my due diligence and climbed inside my tent and zipped it up and there are no light leaks at all, its pitch black in there.so i am not sure why she is doing that. none of my other flowers are doing it either so really not sure!! pics to follow tonight - keep it real!
