  7. @Martin7318 very nice dude. Good taste. Red Helen goes quite political. I like it. Alot. Never heard of them. When I was younger I used to go to alot of shows in Pta. Local bands like Pestroy, Wickhead, 16 Stitch, the Narrow, my Epic and more. Used to love going to oppikoppi and woodstock.

  8. @Hooper Lights are not something you want to skimp on, it is worth saving up and getting something proper from the beginning!

  9. It's time for a new journey & a new diary, & let me be completely honest I was going to do this diary once I had reached harvest with pics and video and skip the all boring veg phase, but I soon found myself with a lot more work and a lot more content than Id like so I thought let me start this diary and update it on a monthly bases. OK so what are we doing this time? SETUP: We doing 15L & 20L autopots A side by side of organic and synthetic Organics are setup using 12mm lead piping and valve 5s Syntheic is setup using 6mm lead pipe with standard valves MEDIUM: For synthetics we going with perlite & coco (washed and buffered a week before potting) For organics going with coco & perlite ammended with malted barley, kelp meal, guano, frass, dolomite, biochar, aloe, alfalfa & Bokashi STRAINS: The strains will be Super Silver, K-2, Zkittlez & original glue by @Marijuana Seeds SA & Nirvana LIGHTS: This time we pulling out the Mars Hydro SP 3000 from the start with the help from the Leon 200, that's more than enough power in the hood for this grow I started off germination with some water in a cup and after 2 days potted in coco on a heat mat for 2 weeks in the dome with very light feed every 4 days 5 days later... All but 2 didn't sprout. Well.. One was very late to the party the other one never showed face so I decide to pop anther zkittlez seed At the end of 2 weeks they were ready to be trasplanted into their final pots Right side synthetics. Left side organics. At this point I had to top feed for at least 2 weeks before the roots were established in the Autopot system After 2 weeks of top feeding its was finally time to turn on the systems Some nice socks for the ladies.. Looks more like a water tube.. (well they are going for a swim after all) Zkittlez & Original Glue first week of veg

  10. @The Grass Baas Ahh! So good to see a man of culture within this group! Don't suppose you were at the Oppi Koppi where Newtown Knife gang (basically the old 16 Stitch) played a cover of Fallout? They had Brandon Pratt from Red Helen join them for the song. It was amazing, the 5 years I went to Oppi were some of the greatest times of my life!

  11. We cant stress this enough. You can get a decent QB for around 3k but i feel that sooner or later you going to want to upgrade your lights with more power so I would look at the lights from the 5 - 12 K range. But it all depends on your budget and the nice thing is you can always add more to your grow, i wouldnt get anything less than 200W tho

  13. @The Grass Baas, I absolutely love Parkway's older stuff. After their 2010 album I lost interest. They changed Metalcore is always my sub-genre of choice. The Deathcore stuff of late has been great though, not surprised at all by it being too much for most .

  14. Holy fucking shit that is some of the roughest Metal Ive heard in my life . I also enjoy metal music quite abit but I tend to think my metal is alot easier on the ears. Heres a documentary about a bunch of surfers that started a metal band. Every single one of my friends never listened to metal until they watched this documentary. Quite strange, but I think as soon as they were able to relate to the metal surfers, then they started loving their music. Their songs play throughout the documentary so you kindof get a feel for them. One of my favorites over the last 5 to 10 years or so. I would recommend this to any rock or metal listener. Enjoy

  15. Very much agree with you, they do not really go into fattening up. When I compare with the Pineapple Express I finish for Christ sake, none of the plants made it into the mother tent due to not enough Pineapple taste.. but the buds are 1/3 bigger as the Tortoni. Pineapple is fading hard now, putting it dark today. Tortoni still 2 weeks out. Don't think the buds will get much bigger.. but, I might be wrong... I just hope ^^

  16. I have not really messed around with temps this year. Pretty much ran at ambient temps. Had no real issues. It gets way to hot in summer. I just grow outdoors

  17. So cool to go through all of this, I'm a serious music lover who dabbles in a few instruments. My music taste stretches seriously far, but since there is a real lack of Metal on this thread I'm adding to it with something a little new that blew my mind. (For those not interested in listening to it's entirety, just skip to 05:00 and listen to the last minute )

  19. Yeah man, those Thai sativa traits those. Genetic foxtailing is a sativa thing, and this is genetic rather than environmental foxtailing. @CreX I do hope she doesn't flower forever on you. Last comp you pushed the only male to peak Flowering... This year another unicorn among the crowd...

  20. I would recommend to wash & buffer your coco regardless if you purchased a "washed and buffered" coco. As @PsyCLownmentioned wouldn't flush with plain water, a very low nute dosage probably a quarter of the recommended dosage will get you around 200 - 250 ppm if using RO water, that will do the trick.

  21. Have built an outdoor light setup incorporating 2x of the 50w versions and a 150w led flood in the centre. Using it to extend daylight hours and vegging clones outdoors. They do get warm so some active/passive cooling will extend the usefull life. Mine been running for about 6 months and no problems so far. Doubt they would be suitable for flowering, for a decent indoor setup, those lights won't be the best choice.

  23. So these girls and boy are just going into flower. 6 females left, and a male chosen from 8. Not going to be many seeds from this run. More of a poke and prod to see overall F3 outcomes.

  24. I tried those when I 1st started growing, the 100w cost about R110 and 50w R60 from the store nearby. They can work for Veg but that's about it, all of them I had eventually blew after 2 months and they get very hot, you can burn yourself if not careful even having a fan running on it didn't help much. I probably spent R2000 on these type of lights, ac cobs and "600w" blurple LEDs and they just didnt do it when you flower and you end up disappointed, rather save for a decent LED.

  27. Thanks @Naughty.Psychonaut Knowing you heard good things, you getting me more excited about this grow First clones, so proper dunno what to expect. The Terples are settling in very well in their new home, looking perky, bright & green almost plastic - I love it! The Tally Man seems to be a bit slower to adapt, not looking as happy as the terples. Guessing it's possibly due to the airpot vs material grow bags - Faster moisture loss OR the genetics So i went ahead and did another diluted feed last night. Will see of anythings changed this eve

  28. What a lekker event last night, ended up getting home damn late, meeting some new and old growers. A nice turnout from our local community and people coming as far away as from Grahamstown and Kenton. I think we had about 50 people turnout. What a laugh, we even dabbed in the pub and sniffed some snuff, after curfew !!!!! The nurse that was in attendance was not happy!!!!! Lots of interest from the farming community too, some big things coming. We, as a community, might be starting a cannabis club. Thank you Growone.africa.

  29. Sorry for the late post, about to go to the event at my local. Growone.africa have been doing a roadtrip up from western Cape and through to Natal. They are doing live talks about the cannabis social club they manage and the current legislation. It might be worth attending one or two. Having a talk tonight at my local in Bathurst, and the Agricultural Museum. Its going to be dope. Catch them in IG as they move up the coast. I think the next event is in East London. These are the guys that run several social clubs software and compliance, one being the Pottery in PE and the Turtle House in Jeffreys Bay. Check them out.
