  5. Back in the day I used to be in a band called Suck Like Malcolm and we used to play with likes of Pestroy and Wickhead, The Narrow, etc. Koppis were an annual thing until I became too commercial to enjoy. I remember 16Stitch also, was always in awe of 2 bassists in one band

  6. Good evening contestant's [emoji91][emoji323] Nothing spesial this week , same watering and feeding. #1 the topped one I'm still liking , #2 fimmed thought it would be closer to #1 size wise but it's smaller and then #3 Xmas tree just might be the best yielded . If I scroll back it looks like we start week 8 tomorrow. Nice shiny dense buds. Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk

  8. @The Grass Baas we were at the same show I managed to score Kirk Hammet's pick that day, also remember that the power tripped half way through Collective Soul's set and that the beer ran out before darkness hit . Did you go to the coke fest after that with Muse and Korn, etc? And Iron Maiden when they were here?

  9. Another upgrade yesterday. Finally put the fan and ducting up so the door can close again. Currently it is extracting from the flower box below out the door, with passive air through the door and oscillating over the veg area. Just need to open up the vent more, perhaps get a nice cover. Here’s the vegging lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. 22.8.2021 - Update: One week later Ladies have had their first foliar spray (Nutriplex/Nutrigold) earlier today. Removed a couple of the lower leaves and small growth on some of them - It was too close to the medium, they looked healthy enough to take it so I went ahead. Tally Man seems to be getting there slow but surely, just not popping green like the terples in person. Positive is new growth showing up, so will keep on taking it slow n steady with the feeding. Otherwise, 1 week down and so far so good Now, jhst gotta hope it stays that way

  14. @donnob hahaha. What a crazy small world. I was still so broke and couldn't get a golden circle ticket. Ended up getting one off a security guard for R50. Just in time for Seether too. I do totally remember the power outage on collective soul. I think it was still when they were playing shine. I might be wrong but that was looooong ago. Those were the days dude.

  15. @donnob I honestly dont remember your band. We were also in a band playing around pta with the kid of doom guys and bands like soil 7t7. We once got to open for soil7t7 at a show. What a fuckup but what fun. I really enjoyed 16stitch. I was lucky enough to go to coke fest in JHB when metallica was live with Collective Soul. Standing in the crowd I see these oaks that have dreadlocks and thought, this must be 16 stitch. I tap the guy on the shoulder, he turns around while taking a huge bong hit, in the middle of coke fest. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Here is one of the coolest bands in SA down where I am watching metallica klapping a fat bong in the crowd.

  16. going cheap is the most expensive thing you can do, a good rule of thumb in life but especially when it comes to lighting equipment for a indoor cannabis grow setup. I love that saying "paying your school fees" hahah you're lucky enough to be surrounded by a group of A++ candidates that will just let you copy the answers straight from their tests

  21. Heyo! I’m logging this here, and for future grows for all the strains I’m growing. I was suppose to end off with these 2 wedding cakes, however, it seems cooking the temp and tweaking things here and there have been working out alright for now. Some days I reach 35 degrees. In for a ride but positive. Growing. 2 front - @1000Hills Nursery wedding cake x smeet (will finish off in this thread) Back left - unknown white widow (thanks @SkunkPharm @GGG) Back right - In-house - Frosted apricots (partial about this one, but we will see) Feeding Water, ssts, fish hydrolysate, Epic 5:2, malted barley This specific soil contains neem leaf powder. Back 2 in 40l Maxgrow fabric pots - started flower on the 1st Jan

  26. Interesting topic.. Does the new info on terpenes also not turn the whole Induca Sativa thing on its head.. I've had Sativa strains that really keep me going but the same with some strong Indica hybrids depending on my mood or what I do..

  27. The effects from cannabis, particularly being uplifted or couch locked... I haven't really noticed that much of a difference between strains. When you harvest seems to play a bigger role. The method one consumes it as also makes a difference, I find the high is more uplifting when taking a dab, not as couch locked compared to vape or combustion. Having something like a red bull or monster also helps take the couch lock away and makes it more neutral in terms of the way the high affects energy levels. I have smoked some bud and it's knocked me out, made me super sleepy and tired. The next day or a few days later smoke it again and its not all that heavy and doesn't make me nearly as sleepy... So the way you're feeling certainly plays a role as well (set and setting). It's not a strong stimulant which will give you energy no matter what. Obviously smoking less and not getting as high can also make a big difference in terms of energy levels and if you vape the temps you vape at etc. I have found that weed for energy is just not something to rely on, too finicky and more often than not doesn't give me energy. Just lazy and chilled, sometimes a bit sleepy. Regardless of the strain, I even grew a Ghost Train Haze which is a strong sativa which flowered for around 15 weeks and probably could have gone a little longer... Waste of flower time as far as I'm concerned. The terps were great and unique, difference between that and a heavy indica for me was little to none. Everyone's chemistry is different too though. So while I'm saying all of this, for you it could be very different. Although I do find it hard to imagine how it would be all that much different. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  28. @Martin7318 Myyyyyyyyy man!!!!!!!!!! Cultured indeed. I was lucky enough to have parents that took me to these festivals. Last one I went to must've been 2009.....I think....If I recall I was also at the last woodstocks.....watched an epic Swedish band called Blindside. What a fucking show. These guys do fallout really well. Unfortunately I don't think I was at this one. Can just imagine what lekker fun it was there.

  29. We cant stress this enough. You can get a decent QB for around 3k but i feel that sooner or later you going to want to upgrade your lights with more power so I would look at the lights from the 5 - 12 K range. But it all depends on your budget and the nice thing is you can always add more to your grow, i wouldnt get anything less than 200W tho

  30. I must add to this conversation that if it's energy I need I wouldn't look to weed I understand that we wana smoke all day and would just prefer not getting knocked down everytime we smoke, so here's how I see this cannabis that gives energy thing, I am not sure if it's placebo or perhaps aromatherapy has a bigger impact on me than the smoking of, but terpenes can trick my mind into "thinking" I am smoking a sativa. If a limonene terp is present I feel lifted, same way citrus smell will have positive effect on your mental state. any terp typically associated with sativa gives me an uplift feeling. I just cut my Sour Lemon OG, genetic from the Emerald Triangle....... I shit you not as I was moving the plant from grow to hang I got a fucking citrus sting in my nose and my eyes teared up. Already feeling uplifted and energized in advance, don't even need to smoke it!!! Buddy of mine grew a close to pure sativa thai strain, was a real long legged octopus shaped plant that grew all the way up past his HID was the only plant I ever smoked that gave me energy that was noticable. I would still be high when the "energy" faded, like they say "anything that goes up must come down". If I smoke heavy indica that's known to not give energy I can actually feel couch lock happening and my body becomes heavy and I feel highly motivated to sleep, but then again this could also be placebo, because of the general consensus around the words "indica" and "sativa".

  31. What can I say lol, I keep it exciting

  32. Yeah man, those Thai sativa traits those. Genetic foxtailing is a sativa thing, and this is genetic rather than environmental foxtailing. @CreX I do hope she doesn't flower forever on you. Last comp you pushed the only male to peak Flowering... This year another unicorn among the crowd...

  34. Some random shots to conclude this diary. Still curing so I haven't sampled any yet. GZ is getting some smell back in the jar after having zero smell after drying. The lemon cheese STANK from mid flower all the way to now, you could smell it outside my front door while it was drying in the bathroom. Gorilla Zkittlez after drying for 10 days, just before trim and jar. Ended up with 48g. Franco's Lemon Cheese just after harvest. Dried, I got 50g of decent sized tight buds and 40g leafy tiny buds

  37. Thought this picture had a cool story. Picked up Mr Acton on the way to the Cannabis expo last weekend, he had already rolled a tarrie joint, check that bend. We went straight to aaptwaks table to learn some skills. So we have Mr 8 joints a day on national news, mixing with 3.2 seconds joint roller. How is this for a mad match. 39. What's up dude. Great idea man. I'm also super into the whole remote control thing. I'm still abit of a noob but I manage a few simple things using sonoff switches. They're great. Have had really good success with them. I could be 300km away working and I could monitor some of the basic elements of a perpetual grow. 1) I use a sonoff switch and temp gauge to monitor the temp in my propagation chamber. It switches a heating pad on and off. I keep it at 20 - 24 Celsius. All the little clones love it. Helps alot in the cold winters. 2) I use a sonoff switch, humidity gauge and an extractor fan to control my humidity in both my flowering and vegging tents. Each having their own switch, humidity sensor and extractor. I use a humidifier in the vegetative/mother tent to keep humidity nice and high and then the sonoff will switch the extractor on and off, keeping it at about 65% humidity. The flowering tent has no humidifier and the switch puts the extractor on and off keeping the humidity at 45-55% humidity. Depending on where in the cycle the flowers are. And all these sonoff switches are pretty smart. Known as smart switches. They keep logs of when they switch on and off. You can also remotely change parameters. It's really great.
