Back in the day I used to be in a band called Suck Like Malcolm and we used to play with likes of Pestroy and Wickhead, The Narrow, etc. Koppis were an annual thing until I became too commercial to enjoy. I remember 16Stitch also, was always in awe of 2 bassists in one band4 points

Good evening contestant's [emoji91][emoji323] Nothing spesial this week , same watering and feeding. #1 the topped one I'm still liking , #2 fimmed thought it would be closer to #1 size wise but it's smaller and then #3 Xmas tree just might be the best yielded . If I scroll back it looks like we start week 8 tomorrow. Nice shiny dense buds. Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk3 points

Good day my fellow growmies.. Day 39 and 32 respectively.. The older one of the 3 is now in preflower..3 points

@The Grass Baas we were at the same show I managed to score Kirk Hammet's pick that day, also remember that the power tripped half way through Collective Soul's set and that the beer ran out before darkness hit . Did you go to the coke fest after that with Muse and Korn, etc? And Iron Maiden when they were here?3 points

Another upgrade yesterday. Finally put the fan and ducting up so the door can close again. Currently it is extracting from the flower box below out the door, with passive air through the door and oscillating over the veg area. Just need to open up the vent more, perhaps get a nice cover. Here’s the vegging lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

22.8.2021 - Update: One week later Ladies have had their first foliar spray (Nutriplex/Nutrigold) earlier today. Removed a couple of the lower leaves and small growth on some of them - It was too close to the medium, they looked healthy enough to take it so I went ahead. Tally Man seems to be getting there slow but surely, just not popping green like the terples in person. Positive is new growth showing up, so will keep on taking it slow n steady with the feeding. Otherwise, 1 week down and so far so good Now, jhst gotta hope it stays that way2 points

@donnob hahaha. What a crazy small world. I was still so broke and couldn't get a golden circle ticket. Ended up getting one off a security guard for R50. Just in time for Seether too. I do totally remember the power outage on collective soul. I think it was still when they were playing shine. I might be wrong but that was looooong ago. Those were the days dude.2 points

@donnob I honestly dont remember your band. We were also in a band playing around pta with the kid of doom guys and bands like soil 7t7. We once got to open for soil7t7 at a show. What a fuckup but what fun. I really enjoyed 16stitch. I was lucky enough to go to coke fest in JHB when metallica was live with Collective Soul. Standing in the crowd I see these oaks that have dreadlocks and thought, this must be 16 stitch. I tap the guy on the shoulder, he turns around while taking a huge bong hit, in the middle of coke fest. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Here is one of the coolest bands in SA down where I am watching metallica klapping a fat bong in the crowd.2 points

going cheap is the most expensive thing you can do, a good rule of thumb in life but especially when it comes to lighting equipment for a indoor cannabis grow setup. I love that saying "paying your school fees" hahah you're lucky enough to be surrounded by a group of A++ candidates that will just let you copy the answers straight from their tests2 points

Week 13 Update / Flower Week 7 I still got some vertical growth from T2 this week so I had to super crop the 2 long stems to at least be a little shorter. I didn't want to lift my light any more because of the other 2 shorter girls. She seems to be going strong after that which I'm happy for. No end in sight for the 2 hydro girls, looks like they're going to flowering for a while. Ms Organic is going along nicely as well. Getting nice delicous smelling plump buds and she is still just as short and stocky Tent view: T1 (back right): T2 (back left): T3 (front left): Have a good week guys1 point

Day 16 of 12/12. Pics T1,T2,T3 in order. Looking a bit droopy as it is watering time. Sticking to 2 waterings plain water and every third watering adding molasses. Keep wondering what they would look like if I didn't screw up in the beginning. But hey, super chuffed none the less. Sorry about the pic quality, new phone, complicated camera.1 point

Interesting topic.. Does the new info on terpenes also not turn the whole Induca Sativa thing on its head.. I've had Sativa strains that really keep me going but the same with some strong Indica hybrids depending on my mood or what I do..1 point

@Martin7318 Myyyyyyyyy man!!!!!!!!!! Cultured indeed. I was lucky enough to have parents that took me to these festivals. Last one I went to must've been 2009.....I think....If I recall I was also at the last woodstocks.....watched an epic Swedish band called Blindside. What a fucking show. These guys do fallout really well. Unfortunately I don't think I was at this one. Can just imagine what lekker fun it was there.1 point

As deciding when to harvest is quite a decision to make. I go a bit deeper into 'detail' why I do what. And as usual, use me only as a indicator.. I can't walk over water or bend the laws of physics... yet Two sections of the bud.. lower part with sugar leaves. You find very little amber and majority is milky to clear still. Milky is the easiest to spot against the green background. If you know there is a trichome but you cant really define it.. is clear, not amber. How honest you are to what you see is a bit key. Middle part, mix of sugar leaves and calyxes, flowers. Most here is still clear and just started to get milky, no amber to be found. Those are sections from the bud of the post before. Pistils are mostly dry as you see, and if you harvest now, potency would be rather low. Just needs more time to ripen. As you remove all leaf material, also the sugar leaves, while dressing.. just makes zero sense to harvest with the sugar leaves as indicator. When the final material shows the right signs you harvest. Is a nasty waiting game1 point

Day 6 of Week 15 Update They got 2 liters of 1/3/4 - 4 And made my first close up to check the Trichomes.. would say I am on track and in 2 weeks they should be ripe and decent amber1 point

They have to have been pollinated by something somewhere... Otherwise we have a virgin Mary situation here lol1 point

Monday 16th August: week 7 of flower. No complaints this side. Lots of trichomes around and getting very sticky.1 point

So I've reached the end of week one of flower. Took them outside to give some water and a bit of a defoliating. Did a minimal snip and decided to pull some branches to the side and secured to the bags with pipe cleaners rather than go overboard with the snips. Group pic then 1,2,3 in top view. Hope I did the right thing.1 point

We all needed to start somewhere, I too made some silly mistakes when I first started growing. I bought a bunch of autoflower seeds, thinking it would be easier. Luckily I had some members on the forum willing to help and was gifted some nice photoperiods to start with, along with some bagseed to try germinate. Once you are comfortable with the growing process, if you have the money, go for some better and higher end genetics. If not, get some cuttings or find those cheaper gems from local breeders or the cheaper breeders. For indoor, lighting makes a massive difference. Try not to skimp on lights. Then genetics will also make a massive difference, far more of a difference then nutes, secret potions, growing medium (soil, hydro, coco) etc. I feel a lot of products are marketed to try and improve your plants, but ultimately the genetics determine how great the plant can be. The good nutes, environment and so forth just further assist the process and help the plant reach its full potential. If you want frost, no fancy expensive nutes or potions will get you there - genetics will. Just an example1 point

Hi everyone my lady doing better after 2 x clean water with Ph6.2, just feed her now on a total ppm of 520 Keep it low for now, scared of nutrient burn. Thanks for all the advice and support Happy growing and a good week to all1 point
-
Yeaa i would say support our local breeders first and foremost. They have some gems that will go for 10 times the price on the international market. Will also not hurt your pocket as much if you make mistakes. Living and learning is the name of the game. If you don't have much experience, the best is to grow what fits your budget and personalize your own growing style and take it from there. You will develop a connection with your plants and with time, learn what their needs are. Bless up1 point
