Week 13 Update / Flower Week 7 I still got some vertical growth from T2 this week so I had to super crop the 2 long stems to at least be a little shorter. I didn't want to lift my light any more because of the other 2 shorter girls. She seems to be going strong after that which I'm happy for. No end in sight for the 2 hydro girls, looks like they're going to flowering for a while. Ms Organic is going along nicely as well. Getting nice delicous smelling plump buds and she is still just as short and stocky Tent view: T1 (back right): T2 (back left): T3 (front left): Have a good week guys5 points

Good evening contestant's [emoji91][emoji323] Nothing spesial this week , same watering and feeding. #1 the topped one I'm still liking , #2 fimmed thought it would be closer to #1 size wise but it's smaller and then #3 Xmas tree just might be the best yielded . If I scroll back it looks like we start week 8 tomorrow. Nice shiny dense buds. Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk4 points

You can say that again, 4 days before the biggest cannabis event of my life, it was all cancelled due to COVID. I was about to print shirts, caps, flyers. And then had to pay back about 5k to add insult to injury. Not entering, but making a plan to be there. It really does look like its going to be a great event.3 points

the very first plant i grew, complete bag seed... but it would have changed the world if i took cuttings i enjoy weed to take the edge of traffic and stupid people in cars... and 99% of all the weed i have smoked chills me out and i can relax and not get pissed off with the 77th taxi cutting in the traffic. anyways, this first plant i grew, was next level Sativa, it was so intense it did the opposite to my road chills... it made me wanna drive fast, made me wanna get home and do all my chores, finish them, look for more work, not find any, then go visit your neighbor to help them with their chores LOL it gave me energy like 10 redbulls. to date, i have never smoked anything like it, and never felt those intense creative and energetic feels again from any weed. so i definitely believe that there are strains out there that could be considered illicit substances LOL, but also believe strains react differently to each smoker and effects may vary a lot.3 points

My 3 main ladies are looking rather happy in their new homes. My bag seeds are pushing through, I thought I was going to lose 1 as I watched pieces of the leaves literally burn away (I didn't change their soil, thought I'd see what happens to them). Is it safe to assume that original soil was hot?? Anyway, 1 of 3 DS seeds clearly wasn't doing as well as the others but looking better each and every day. I bet you'll immediately be able to point that one out . I gave my first dose of BioGrow, 2ml/lt of PH'd water. Water was brought down to 5.8 this time around. Leaves have become darker so I believe all is well so far.2 points

Hi CreX. I primarily only clone with tops due to the mainline that I run. No special process and close to 100% rooting success rate. I cut the tops and keep them in water for a couple of minutes till I am done with the one plant. I then use Dynaroot rooting powder and dip the stem in it. (My rooting powder is also probably 6 to 7 years old) Then over to peat cubes. I do remove quite a lot of leaves and any nodes that are above the cut so as to allow for a smaller leaf foot print. If the stem is relatively big the rooting might just take a little bit longer. The Twisted Helix cut that I gave @PsyCLown was a top cutting.2 points

@Prom Buffalo are not bad at all and I too had to pick up a Buffalo parcel from a Shoe City before. lol Sometimes Buffalo have delivered to my door, other times pick up from one of the collection points. Still 100 times better than SAPO. I have used SAPO in the past, around 2018 and parcels were taking on average 3 months to arrive and you could go collect from the customs depot but was a bit of a drive and a mission - then shipping from China to SA became a lot cheaper via some couriers, such as Buffalo and SAPO got a lot worse, quickly in terms of how long parcels take to be received. For snail mail, SAPO isn't the worst and I have received quite a few letter overs the year via them and even sent some with the person receiving them. This was a few years ago, probably around 2015 / 2016. I recall receiving a parcel from the US via USPS and it arrived in 4 or 5 weeks and I was able to collect from my local post office back in 2014. If I could get this type of service, I would consider SAPO for parcels which are not important as pricing is really good.1 point

I don't do anything special with my clones. I do make my cuts just below a node under water. It probably doesn't make a difference but it's just something I do, make my cuts submerged in water and then into rooting powder(that's like 10 years old), and into the plugs. Vents all the way open on the dome from the beginning. I average roots from 10-14 days1 point

@The Grass Baas The Sprayer for R85 works nicely, but the lack of a wand can make a big difference. Although this is 10 times better than those trigger bottles. The issue with this is when you want to try get the bottom of your plants and try turn the bottle sideways and it sucks up the air and reduces the pressure or when you try get under the leaves etc. The one for R269 is what I am referring to with the wand, excellent sprayers and well worth the money! The one I use is a Garden Master I think, but I am sure they are all pretty much the same. One can even lock the spray trigger into place and just move the wand around. WIth the wand the tank can be upright and you can turn the wand in whatever direction to ensure you get a nice spray alllllll over your ladies... if you know what I mean1 point
-
I use a 2 liter bottle when I treat my plants for mould and little critters etc. Must say the little cramp you talking about is not something that bothers me too much. Get some grip strength booooooiii. When a person is poor cramps don't mean shit . Ok but on a serious note. I have one of those 25l poison tank sprayer things (fumigator, the one with the wand) which make a super light mist. I wouldn't use it if you've used roundup in it before....well I wouldn't risk it.... Then the other option which works really well is, the hand held version of the hand pump sprayer. Both these options are super cheap. Anyway. Here is what I mean.1 point

When you replacing the rest of the HID's? Also what tent is that, the pole in the middle must be a bit frustrating at times?1 point

Eish, you know how your hand cramps are using one of these bottles and the spray isn't as fine as a pressure sprayer. Not to mention when I drench my plants I can go through 2L to 4L of foliar solution - so having to refill the whole time can be a mission. It is difficult to spray and get under the leaves with a trigger spray - I understand that a paint sprayer can be overkill for some, although they do work really well I have heard, but at least fork out the money on a larger pressure sprayer with a wand if you plan on doing a few foliar sprays. The fine mist helps with coverage, the wand helps get under the plants and leaves easier and reach some otherwise difficult to reach places and the pressure makes life much easier on your hands and forearm muscles... Not to mention those trigger bottles always break and clog very quickly and easily.1 point

Day 16 of 12/12. Pics T1,T2,T3 in order. Looking a bit droopy as it is watering time. Sticking to 2 waterings plain water and every third watering adding molasses. Keep wondering what they would look like if I didn't screw up in the beginning. But hey, super chuffed none the less. Sorry about the pic quality, new phone, complicated camera.1 point

The effects from cannabis, particularly being uplifted or couch locked... I haven't really noticed that much of a difference between strains. When you harvest seems to play a bigger role. The method one consumes it as also makes a difference, I find the high is more uplifting when taking a dab, not as couch locked compared to vape or combustion. Having something like a red bull or monster also helps take the couch lock away and makes it more neutral in terms of the way the high affects energy levels. I have smoked some bud and it's knocked me out, made me super sleepy and tired. The next day or a few days later smoke it again and its not all that heavy and doesn't make me nearly as sleepy... So the way you're feeling certainly plays a role as well (set and setting). It's not a strong stimulant which will give you energy no matter what. Obviously smoking less and not getting as high can also make a big difference in terms of energy levels and if you vape the temps you vape at etc. I have found that weed for energy is just not something to rely on, too finicky and more often than not doesn't give me energy. Just lazy and chilled, sometimes a bit sleepy. Regardless of the strain, I even grew a Ghost Train Haze which is a strong sativa which flowered for around 15 weeks and probably could have gone a little longer... Waste of flower time as far as I'm concerned. The terps were great and unique, difference between that and a heavy indica for me was little to none. Everyone's chemistry is different too though. So while I'm saying all of this, for you it could be very different. Although I do find it hard to imagine how it would be all that much different. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Another upgrade yesterday. Finally put the fan and ducting up so the door can close again. Currently it is extracting from the flower box below out the door, with passive air through the door and oscillating over the veg area. Just need to open up the vent more, perhaps get a nice cover. Here’s the vegging lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Just had a short email exchange with Jenna from Marijuanaseeds.co.za. They have Durban Poison as freebies and when I checked the description, I decided to write and ask not to send me those freebees. This is why I told them not to send me those seeds: "She was created after taking the South African landrace Durban and crossing it with our fastest flowering Skunk." Is a LAND RACE.. and as soon as you cross it.. is NOT Durban Poison anymore. Why sell it with that name? Got changed.. very confusing habit of the breeders out there.. Names are just worth NOTHING anymore these days.. when I buy Durban Poison, I expect land race seeds.. not some crossings you did. Not just Nirvana pulls that crap.. the Land Race is called Durban Poison.. not Durban or what ever you wanna make up to fit into your plans. Sam the Skunkman cleaned the genetics in California, not even in the Netherlands... is like you see a car for sale: Porsche 911 GT3.. and when you get there, is a 911 Carrera and the seller just painted GT3 behind by hand... doesn't make it a GT3.. just because you write it there. This one is for you Nirvana We need some rules for Cannabis breeding and cultivation.. things run totally out of hand. To many have just pure profit in mind and not the love for the plant anymore. I do not understand why lying and telling not true facts became so popular. I got raised by my mom and she told me very often, lying is very bad.. these days you can be happy if you get the truth. Education took a 180 degree turn somewhere.. Sorry ^^ not my day hehehe just makes me mad.1 point

I believe these are pretty decent, a clone of the GHE nutes which was done by GT Hydro. May not be as accurate / consistent as GHE but for someone on a budget should be pretty awesome1 point

With the legal changes happening world wide one after the other, the seed market is going to completely change over the next few years, and if breeders aren't adapting or scaling to meet ever increasing demand for affordable quality seed, then they may not be around for long.1 point

I've had no problems with budbuddies.co.za and got freebies. I would never try to enforce the CPA on a seedbank that just crazy imo1 point

i have a 30 seeds shipment on the run with Jerry, no stealth, fully declared THC seeds, testing what will happen. Just in accordance with the law. Checking what customs do and if they let it pass, Fastbuds will limit max orders to SA to 30 seeds but ship official. Post office just useless... 3 to 4 months those mailing easy take till delivery... not sure that slow service you can call a mail service1 point

Lol! Busted! The truths has a way of coming out.. If this info saves alot of growers and esp new growers from bad experiences and money lost then everybody should know.. just my opinion tho.1 point
