As they only get water till cut on Friday.. and I have a busy weekend coming.. I put the grow summary here. You don't have to read all the posts to get my feeding regime figured out. There is no rocket science to be found here ^^ sorry. The tent climate is were it should be ^^ I played with the Gelato strain before.. even mine is a Orange Sherbet, not a Sunset Sherbet. So I knew that they are normal feeders and don't like to get pushed to hard. Is why I never put 4ml Bloom in per liter. Keep it friendly but every feeding is dinner time. You still need to look at your leaves every time you check your plants. You can spot stress before they get stressed. The faster you react, the happier you keep your plant(s). Dropped the seeds in filtered water (charcoal / UV light) with 27 degrees C for exactly 12 hours. Removed and plated between two dinner plates and moist kitchen paper towels. Once they popped they went right into Freedom Farm Premium Classic soil with a 2ml BioBizz Root Juice (they suggest 4ml, 2 works same) flush of the soil. Only time I use Root Juice, so a bottle last forever ^^ As the FF Green Bag isn't cold in regards to fertilizer, I do not add Fish-Mix at the start like BioBizz Table suggests you have to do. If you use a neutral medium, start with 1ml Fish-Mix right away and the Amino Boost 2ml per 10 liter. Used a syringe to feed. Always lift the pot to check if they actually need it. Then comes the rather easy part.. feeding till flip is the same. Anything Bold changed or gets added fresh. First 5 finger out i stop pure rain water. 1ml Fish-Mix or Grow (swapping each feeding) per liter and 2ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter. You wet a 10 liter pot with FF Green bag soil more or less perfect with one liter... 3 liter pot.. 300ml.. i don't work with run off. I always watch the tips of the leaves to see if they get to much. I see the slightest dis-color coming up, they get twice just plain rain water, then back to normal. The swap with Fish Mix and Grow I don't do because of the plants, I add the 25% molasses sugar to the soil for the microbes to have their own sugar rush ^^ BioBizz Grow = 75% Fish Mix + 25% Molasses. Ergo.. you buy Fish Mix and some molasses... you can mix your own Grow. I am to lazy.. i buy it in 5l containers... except the Top Max. The moment I flip, I also give the first shot of Bloom.. and I like to flip when they are dry and need feeding anyhow. 1ml Grow (more sugar ^^) 2ml Bloom per liter and 3ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter on Flip I keep the BioBizz Grow till I see they are Pre Flower, then I start to swap with Fish Mix again, but keep it at 1ml all the time. If you have more hungry strains, go 2ml from week 3 or week 4. Just watch those tips of your leaves and use plain rain water when needed. My rule of thumb is that I increase the Bloom as soon as I go for the Silica addon. Buds are now clear formed and size of the tip of your small finger. 1 ml (Fish Mix or Grow swapping each feeding) 3 ml Bloom and 1 ml Top Max per Liter plus 3ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter. 2 Weeks in I raise the Top Max 1 ml (Fish Mix or Grow) 3 ml Bloom and 2 ml Top Max per Liter plus 3ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter. And do the same 2 weeks later again plus go max dosage on the micro nutes 1 ml (Fish Mix or Grow) 3 ml Bloom and 3 ml Top Max per Liter plus 4ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter. (If they are hungry strains, 4ml Bloom at this point) 2-3 weeks before planned harvest the last increase in Silica and stick to the sugary Nitrogen 1 ml Grow 3 ml Bloom and 4 ml Top Max per Liter plus 4ml Amino Boost per 10 Liter. Last week I flush... sometimes the plants have other ideas and you adapt hehehe is no exact science. Autos I work with a clear defined feeding table and follow that table more or less blind.. you never get around watching your leaves to see what the plant is telling you. I only give rain water when the plants might run into a issue, otherwise they always get fertilizer in each watering. Welcome to my mess ^^ I used the Bio Heaven Bottle for the Amino Boost, the original bottle is super messy to open after shaking and to close up it always makes a little spill. And the only Pesticide I used... or PM would have given me a really hard time. Stuff works and customs have zero issues if you want to import. Tried to import a Swiss product.. couldn't even ship it. South African customs would reject the import, i got informed by DHL. Not sure why hehehe used in Swiss hospitals and laboratories to clean up. Wanted to use it to wash out my tents, used it in Switzerland before, good stuff, no smell. Sanosil the product name.. bummer.. Serenade works great.. you can spray that before harvest even... better if you do not have to but after 2 weeks the bacteria are decayed. Never ever spray it on dry buds.. never ever!!!! Moldy buds go to the compost heap... just accept your fail and don't inhale that stuff into your lungs. All I do.. no rocket science here, sorry dudes7 points

Second Last day, Day 5 of Week 17 They got nothing and will not get anything till Friday Tarryn Sisa7 points

Day 109 of the grow 4th day into week 9 of flower On the home stretch now. Inspecting trichomes with the loupe and on the buds they are milky and clear but mostly milky. Only finding a few ambers on the sugar leaves. Think we might be on track to chop at 10 weeks which would be 10th September. Let's go! #1 #2 purple all round now. Bud shape distinctly lankier than #1 and #3 which seem to be more similar to one another than this odd ball. 3# Been keeping an eye on the lower branches where things are a bit more cluttered (my baaaad, its one of the many things I've taken note of from others in this grow off that I will do a better job of in future)...and at risk of jinxing it... so far the buddi all rounder spray is doing what it says on the bottle despite my laziness with defoilation! Been a cold week, dipping as low as 13°C, the humidity spikes are from me taking the sensor out the tent to reconnect to network when I was playing around (neek rond) with the WiFi. It's just a fan leaf... but the colours [emoji7] flush mode, blush mode. Day 20 since I started with COVID symptoms and my taste and smell are returning which I'm very thankful for - shit is smelling fantastic in here. I almost wanna say it smells like almond essence?7 points

I checked on The One and it was clear to me she wanted out. The leaves began to wilt and become crispy, as though she were deep into Autumn. I decided then to give her the harvest, it was time. I took a couple shots as the final state of my plant for judging, some closeups and overviews5 points

@SAgrower, thanx for that tip, BUT I always go shopping with my card, because I don't like to carry cash on me. Sooooooo.......it might be a good or bad thing. I checked my seeds this morning and same as last year the Pineapple Chunk doesn't waste any time. 5 /5 popped within 24 hours after they sank. Not only are they in a hurry to grow, but the nugs on them is mindblowing. Big and toight... LoL. So i planted them into those plastic 6 pack pots you get from buying 6 pack Marigolds, which i cut out to make handling and labeling easier... I used a 50/50 Coco Perlite Seedling starter mix. I had left over from last season. @SAgrower, I only needed starter soil for 3 seeds. And I walked away with a 15L seedling starter bag I labeled them and put them into the germination station to await there beautiful green smiles...4 points

Happy spring day! They got the heater right up in their face. Very cold, but they have got new homes, they in 3L of a soil that's going to get tested. I will share the test paper and how I will be moving forward. I expect to see some wonky numbers apposed to what Albrecht would propose, but we leaning. Apple Jax standing out. Also got 2 x jack herer up and 2 x Bubalicious up4 points

The Portfolio committee on Justice and correctional services held few public comments for some of the most important stakeholders in the country yesterday and it was quite a good watch with some of parliaments member/law makers actually lending an ear to the real down falls and incompatibilities of the current proposed bill. They all called for either a complete scrapping of the bill, or serious reworking of many many factors. Watching many of the speakers voice their points really made me see how unconstitutional the bill is, and also made me think, it was actually the biggest waste of time and possible industry development that could have ever been under taken. One of the prominent group members even said, would we be playing into governments hands if we were to go back to court. Who knows what happens behind closed doors. But for sure government heard what was said and if they do not respond with a more inclusive structure, they know what the community will do, resulting in more time wasted and more possible corruption monies to be had. The suffocating of the commercial aspects in the local market is going to have a long term effect that might not be able to be reversed if held back too long. Less jobs and less rural/local development. Today FOGFA will be speaking and introducing their manifesto which is inline with the needs of the local market and will ensure fair and sustainable growth in the local industry as well as the systems that will be necessary to ensure an efficacious end products. The Department of health / the Department of Justice / SAPS and SAPHRA were nowhere to be seen when these public hearing happened yesterday. I hope they chime in today and voice their opinions, either way it looks like Government understands the bill is flawed in one way or another.4 points

Both.. if I fear the weather, I spray a 50% dosage.. if I want to get rid of it, I spray daily for 3 days full dosage. Haven't found a spot in SA where to buy it, I import from the US in general.. taking 2 liters at the same time to reduce shipping cost.. lasts for 2-3 years one order.2 points

If it helps one, was worth typing it. BioBizz is a working but rather expensive fertilizer range. If you replace Bio Heaven with Amino Boost, there shouldnt be any greater complains anymore. I want to try slow releasing fertilizers soon. Youtube temptation is huge One of the points i like to point out... hardly any South African uses it... is the Quantum Flux Meter. Knowing your fertilizer is important. But when you combine both and fertilize according to the light intensity... you get better results on your buds. So, to bring it in consent. If you use the same fertilizer as i, same soil, led lights... and dont get to my results. The quantum flux just showed how important handling your light actually is. And worst, the pricy little tool you use just 3 to 5 times per grow run. But... it gets you to the next level. I still learn on that tool.. far from mastering it My goal is still to perfect the insulation of the grow flat and sort my climate for good. Is my biggest random factor left. Once that sorted, i hope i reach the next level. There are so many guys in here knowing so much more about the plants. Very fun to stay and read. Is a bit the good part of the journey... never ending learning experience2 points

There are manufacturers who stock these boards and local suppliers who stock boards with 660nm and 730nm. Really upto you whether you want to go this route or not. Plain 301b diodes work great too without any additional diodes. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

So I went shopping today. Rolled a beautiful and tasty GSC x BB joint, took the wife to work and missioned off to the best adult store in my opinion. The guys over at the Hydro store in Brackenfell was friendly and helpful as always. I grabbed 3 bags of the 50/50 Coco Perlite blend. I was looking for some Amino Acid and micorizza, but unfortunately they did not stock. I cant seem to find at the other stores as well, the ones in my vacinity that is. After that I got back into the car, heades home but not after lighting the rest of that joint. I also stopped by the Nursery in my town and bought 5 bags of potting soil to mix mix the coco perlite mix. I will get some compost in anothet small town that has crushed egg shells in it. I used it last season and that extra calcium seemed to have helped. Before I left i dropped the seeds in water and by 19:00 all of them has sunk to the bottom. So I took them and placed them in their birthplace. So here goes season 2021!!! The Slurricane Cheese that I got from a grower is looking good with fattish leaves. I havent grown out this strain and have little knowledge about it except what I read. But then again, is it a true Slurricane Cheese or just a name and a unknown, maybe, could be that strain seed.??? I guess only time will tell. My next post should be with an update on the seeds. The Chocolate Gelato will also have her own thread seeing that it is a tester. I am only popping 2 this round cause i tried germinating one last season and I messed up. So the last 2 are the for back up...2 points

Day 30 (batch 1) and day 27 (batch 2) from seed - 3 confirmed males, 1 with purple sacs early (pictured). At this stage it looks like there will be 5 females and 4 males from the 9. The other pic is the boss male2 points

I see a lot of horror stories starting with "I went away for the weekend", so naturally I was rather worried about my ladies while away for 4 days. I had a friend go through and give them some water as I figured they'd be dry by day 3. I came back to the plants all overlapping each other, had a growth spurt of note! So it was time to get my 2nd light going and time to spread them a part a bit. Tonight I'll start with some LST before topping2 points

So I do not want to start a debate as to whether one should or should not get it. So will be locking this thread. If you vote, it will be anonymous - other users will not be able to see who voted for which option.1 point

Think the shock is over. Took them out. Seems to be mostly the fan leaves amd some sugar ones. Buds themselves look salvageable and some milky. The runt seems to be foxtailing from the stress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks bro, this got me doing a bit more research last night on 660nm + 730nm From what I gather the 660nm helps boost red for flowering and the 730nm helps wake up or put the plants to sleep faster. 730nm should be used 10/15mins before and after the mains lights switch for the sleep/wake up effect. If 660nm + 730nm is used together then this help with photosynthesis and also reduces flowering times. Please correct me if I am wrong, there is a ton of info out there with so many varying opinions. My issue now is that I cannot get the boards with only 660nm + 730nm If I want the 730nm diodes I will have to go with the original board I posted. This has reduced 660nm diodes: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Meijiu-Qb288-Lm301B-288-Board-240W_1600273410022.html?spm=a2700.12243863.0.0.117c3e5fUPT0w8 VS https://meijiu.en.alibaba.com/product/1600204627439-900283355/Meijiu_Daisy_Chain_Lm301b_Lm301h_Veg_Diy_qb288_qb_288_Board_240w_240_watt_Samsung_pcb_pcba_ir_5000k_sf2000_Meiju_Led_Grow_Light.html?spm=a2700.shop_plgr.41413.12.5a0f621dzVWDWr This is all still so very confusing, never had these issues with HPS LOL1 point

And the Lemon OG Haze 1 September, still in week 4. Getting 1ml Fish-Mix/Grow per liter and 2ml Amino Boost per 10 liter. Will Mainline the batch to 16 mains on each plant and attack the 1 KG dry per square meter (450 watts on a 1.2x1.2)... and as ambitious as I am.. I want to reach 1.5KG1 point

If Im not mistaken I think I saw some at Interlude Hydro also. Perhaps give them a call and find out if they have. If you haven't been there, take just enough money for the item you need otherwise you will want to buy everything there, and they are very very reasonably priced.1 point

I realised I fucked up the manifold to the chiller so will need to redo that later this week.1 point

That is the thought. But I also put up loads of sticky traps to catch the adults. I think i had 8 fly catchers in their at some stage. I will do a propper clean out next week. Just before the next grow bed goes in the tent.1 point

Thanks, man! I feel rather proud of myself . I will only be flowering the 3 bigger plants in here. The smaller 3 will be leaving the tent soon.1 point

Guidelines for now, ultimately a judge would be the one to decide if it ends up in court. If you are within the guidelines, chances are it would just be thrown out (I'd imagine, could be wrong). Realistically, not everyone has space to grow or the knowledge. There should not be anything wrong with you growing as you're able to and have the space to do so, then being able to share with friends and family and enjoy some yourself. Imagine your gran trying to grow some cannabis for herself, not something every granny is going to be able to do.1 point

Those plants look amazing dude. Well done on recovering them. I can now see that it is a 1.2x0.6m tent. What are your plans? You going to flower all 6 plants in there?1 point

Can't help myself sometimes... I'm going to water once more tonight and take The One an extra week to this coming weekend. I have no reason really to harvest yet, I've got seedlings still developing in the veg tent that I thought would be ready for the flower tent by now but they're not. So here we go!1 point

Today is Flower Day 60 These pics were taken on Flower Day 57 (Friday 27 Aug) but will try my best to post pics from today later Below is Tortoni #2 and #3. I'm not gonna bother with #1 as she's a bit of runt and a bit nasty compared to these 2. I'd say #2 is just about finished. She has started to foxtail slightly but not bad at all. I'll be checking her trichs tonight #2 #31 point
