After much deliberating I decided to submit T3 as my submission for the comp. Here are her final pictures. She was grown in a 10L grow bag, with organic soil from Organic Matters and fed on GHE nutrients twice weekly and black strap molasses and Epson salts on a bi weekly schedule. Thank you to @420SAand @Totemicfor this amazing opportunity to grow these incredible genetics. I had a blast. Thank you to all the other growers for the support and the competition throughout.4 points

I may be wrong bud, but im sure VPD is calculated at leaf surface temperature, which is close to ambient, (but not always, stress plants are hotter)2 points

20 September 21 Week 3 Airpot = Talliman (Oni) Fabric pots = Terple (In house) Current state of the Clones - They do need some love, plan is to spend time with them tomorrow❤ @PsyCLown can see what you mean now about these in house needing training. Some of the branches are spreading out quite wide and drooping already, without bud Will see what I can salvage otherwise just gonna snip the outliers away. Didn't get to the goal of +1m, which is maybe not a bad thing considering I didn't train. So next grow will be vegged longer and trained harder haha2 points

6 September 21 Not the best pics coming up now, but wanna try to cover some gaps in the journey with some random snaps I took till now Week 1 - Flower but no training2 points

And just like that, we are done Plant #1 and the chosen one is as per the pics below. I trimmed up one bud properly to see the bud structure. The rest was wet trimmed of all big fan leaves(final dry trim to come) post drying. So after 11 weeks of flower, she is looking grand. The plant I chose was slightly smaller than the other one, but I felt like the bud structure was nice, good colour, and frosty AF! This is some serious sticky icky goodness @Totemic Thanks for the seeds and the competition, and all the awesome peeps who participated. It's a pity I didn't get to dedicate more time, as I really feel that if I had not neglected them for weeks at a time, that I would of turned up even better results. But it's a testament to the ridiculously good genetics as they really shown through even with the abuse. Soil: Mix of Freedom farms and my own custom blend Nutrients: BioBizz Bloom and Grow as well as molasses and some banana tea at the end Light: Phoenix Sky Sunplus 200 (240w) Th pics don't do her justice really. Apparently 3 were excluded (+ my video) also as I hit the limit but there you go2 points

Thanks to everyone who followed along and to everybody that pitched in with such great advise and recommendations, it really helped me up my game. Shout out to all the other growers, your shit was amazing to watch, it has been a highlight of my week to catch up on the reports Big up to @Totemic for the beautiful genetics and to @420SA for allowing me to drop in a little after the deadline.2 points

So got some older clones into my system, got sick of waiting just for the pancake stompers to root so decided to use these as a test run1 point

Hi guys I've been very scarce on the forum of late and just thought I should clear the air before any speculation arises. Firstly, I am in the process of starting a new business and it has been all systems go. There has been planning, ordering, building and a lot more. I just don't have the time to sit down and spend time on the forum at the moment. That doesn't mean I haven't been visiting at all, but when I do there is another issue which I point out in the paragraph below... Secondly, and this has been an issue for quite some time now... and that is site speed for me is really bad.... it takes about 2 minutes to load a page and I have no idea why. Loading a growoff diary is a nightmare that I often flatout just give up on it. This doesn't appear to be the case with everyone so it comes down to my ISP. An ISP change may be the solution but it's a mission and one I'm not willing to try and address at the moment, given everything else I am busy with at the moment. Make no mistake, I am still fully committed to this forum but my livelihood must take precedence at this time so I just ask for your guys understanding and patience. I know I have fallen behind with the growoff as well as forum competitions and will do my best to catch up this week. Please bear with me This does however mean that our SOTM may possibly not run again till later this year or possibly only get going again in Jan next year. So I'm really sorry about that one guys. I have put a great deal of effort and my time into this forum since it was started back in 2014 and I was always worried that there may come a time when I need to drop my guard for a while. That time is now but as I say, this isn't a permanent situation and we will get this forum firing at all cylinders again once the business has hopefully hit a groove. Thanks all for your understanding1 point

High 420Buds, So I've never done a grow diary before or even a personal one for that matter So bear with me... I joined the discussion in the clone topic and the seed was planted by a fellow member to make a diary using clones I purchased from GSR. So, I received them on Saturday 14th August, and I must compliment the bank on their excellent customer service. Their communication throughout the purchasing process and advice was great catering to a proper newbie + amateur home grower. Enough talk, here they are as packaged 14 Aug 21. Clones (genetics): 3 X Terple (In House) 1 X Tally Man (Oni Seed)1 point

I tried to curb the Christmas tree shape by defoliating the main stem way more, but it didn't really work, I don't think. Returning to just training it down. Going to try doubling nutes from 2ml/3ml - micro/bloom (per 4l) to 4ml/6ml. Photo def looks like it needs...something. Trying more like 6.0pH rather than the 5.5 that it's been for a while.1 point

Ok. So more experimentation. Better get this over with. Settled on going for temp 23-25. Looks like hum Will behave, let’s see what happens overnight. At around 3:30 I kicked on the heater and went on the school run, got back to a flower box of 40 C. Perhaps the fancy vpd Calc is risky as the trigger relies on movement. New plan: try and stabilize temp around 24. Hum seems to come down to better levels as well there. Last bit was me opening the flower box to work on the girls. Temp dropped to 17 and hum shot to 70%. All I have to do now is close the box and it should settle. Update tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Temp gun next time. Currently seeing how far I can push this. The temp sensor is the little white box on the orange pot. At least now my temps won’t drop to 17 and hum hopefully far away for 70 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I recall mentioning in another thread a good way to see if your plants are happy or not, temp gun, also dial in your lights specifically I think it was.1 point

Then some cutting's to play around with. One or two for the cabinet, still deciding, and the rest outdoors in the shade house. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk1 point

So the mornings updated graphs. Also logging current vpd at canopy level and heater and n/off state And a nice live view Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I'd say do some LST while you still can - will help get a flat canopy and that will help get a better yield.1 point

this is spot on!!! another good example is the "delta 8". a new form of cannabis on the market suited for those who have bad experience with the psychoactive properties of delta 9 THC. if you grow out some regular delta 9 THC and it gives a reading of 10% THC and you grew out a delta 8 and the THC reading also gives you 10%, that 10% from the delta 8 will hit you less than the 10% from a delta 9. so basically it's less potent. why even make this if the race is to see who grows the "best" stuff??? well, that's simply because to a certain population that make up the whole of the masses the less potent stuff is the better stuff.1 point

Thanks for the tips and comment @John Stonedwell , should've popped back into the forum sooner. I flipped to flower and hadn't topped at all - So now I'm just gonna have to do the Xmas tree this time around. Need to top next time for sure...1 point

If you can avoid staying around 26 degrees is best to keep Terps. Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk1 point

@CreX I was referring to if my RH stays at 65 the temp needs to rise Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

VPD can be extremely difficult to control though as there are factors which one can often find difficult to control, or difficult to control to match a good VPD. Such as humidity and temperature. In both cases, if you need to lower your RH or temp you often require an aircon and/or dehumidifier. Not cheap and even when you have this equipment sometimes it is not sufficient to ensure the RH and temps are always kept within the set range - especially humidity as the dehumidifier can only remove soo much water at a time and the more plants, the more moisture is being released etc. My room is not always spot on for the VPD. I try control it as much as possible though but well shit. Just gotta make the best of it.1 point

@Naughty.Psychonaut You are 100% right, there is no best weed, best car, best shoes, best shorts, best t-shirt etc. It comes down to specific situations and preferences. There are times however, where majorty will agree that something is below average or just utter crap or wont deny that there is something better out there. With that being said, I still feel there is progress which gets made. New strains with more frost, more THC, perhaps more overall terps, different cannabinoid profiles etc. as well as new cars with more power and lower fuel consumption, extra safety features and the general technological advancements incorporated, the same applies to shoes and clothes and perhaps the Adidas 4D shoes are further proof to this as well as new technologies to help make fabrics look newer for longer and help them retain the qualities we want as well as incorproate some newer qualities and there are newer fabrics or ways to use the fabrics to achieve what we want - situation dependent. There might be traits we dislike from some breeders, perhaps even breeders we support by buying their seeds and growing them out.... With that being said, there was a reason we bought their seeds - even if it was just based on hype.1 point

So I looked up some vpd charts. Seems like for a ~65% humidity for early flower I need to run over 30 celcius [emoji51] So going to add a little fan heater and checking what that does to growth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

So as things are running and getting a great idea of the conditions that hum is still a MF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Day 114 and day 30 of 12/12. As the competition draws to an end here I am. Some are getting ready to harvest while others are gonna push a bit longer then there is one or two of us that fucked up along the way. But finish we will. Just by looking at the killer plants that have been grown the I think the judges have their work cut out for them. Pics are in groups of four #1-#3. Finally figured out the blue bags are drying twice as fast as the brown bag. Gave them all a proper soaking today. For what it's worth I'll be putting T3 forward on judgment day. Bonus is I get to have a sneak peek to what my plants should look like in 40 days time.1 point
