  1. Alright guys! Apologies for the tardiness, it has been quite the week... But none the less, my Tortoni has been harvested, stripped of its fan leaves, and is now drying in my drying cupboard area. I managed to get 4 decently sized colas out of her and some larf here and there.. Thanks for watching guys! It was another fun challenge thanks to @Totemicand @420SA Here comes the good stuff

  3. Sorry guys late reply. Broke my phone and lost most of the pics to update u guys. Also harvested my outdoor. Managed to make my first clones out of the outdoor. Heads were so nice I had to try do one indoor. Indoor auto is almost finished. Cloudy trichomes. The photo I've been hustling to keep down till the auto is finished before I push to flower. The WPM is all gone. Been giving biobizz bloom to the auto and grow to the photo. Led lights I have have all but halfed in power as most of the less are dead. Also mostly red less now. Looking to get a 240w quantum then eventually another. Enjoy your long weekend

  4. So I was looking at a few places which stocked a particular item to see who was the cheapest and stumbled upon @TheGroBro and I recall @Chris Jay making mention on them in another thread and he stopped by their shop. Since I am nowhere near where their shop is based, had it shipped to me but the experience was great! Shipped the same day and when it arrived, it was packaged nicely and discreetly. Today, I was looking for a particular clone dome which was out of stock pretty much everywhere I looked, except for The Gro Bro! Needed to get a few other supplies which they happened to have in stock and once again - the same excellent service I got initially. Order shipped out the same day - now waiting for it to arrive but I am sure it will be packaged well and delivered discreetly again. So just a heads up and thank you to @TheGroBro If there is something you need which is stocked by The Gro Bro, you can go ahead make the purchase and know that the order will be shipped out quickly. They also use TCG, who I find to be a lot quicker than Fastway, MDS and the other couriers.

  8. Loving seeing this expression among the fems. It gives me a lot of hope for finding a few of these in the f2s, which is part of my goals with the cross. Getting a frostier, and tamer(less foxtailing) CNL expression. Still this pheno looks like chunky hard nugs...

  9. Thank you my boet, just for mentioning my name and a recall. It means alot and says alot. I am glad you had a good experience, and no they are not a client of mine, just a good man with great products making a living. Edited the post because damn, just to say a good word goes a long way. People laughed about influencer services about 3 years ago, it actually works, and many clients know it works. I actually got a mail about more business just because of this comment, but they usually want to start their own marketing department or employ their aunty.

  11. One thing which is noticable, when you "crack" the plants properly, a few weeks later you actually see the branches thickening between the nodes. Love it

  12. glad it was something new to some of you, was new to me too and I gotta say I already like this tech much better just because it took me about 30min to do all my plants and I didn't snap a single branch. big improvement for me hahah I can be a bit heavy handed when comes to manipulating plants, sometimes I feel I can snap a branch just by looking at the plant for too long I won't completely kick the other methods to the curb though as you might have to move a few tops around to allow light penetration or to create a even canopy. the recovery time it takes a top to harden and stand back up once you softened the branch allows side branches to gain stretch, which the chiropractic tech does not allow.

  16. It seems as if you have to put in allot of work before it pays off. But this is how we learn.

  17. Hey dude. Looks like a good option. Not too expensive at all. So I usually use Kingbrite as a supplier (you can search for them under suppliers) and haven't had any shit with delivery. Check them on alibaba and look through their product categories. You'll find bars and boards. They are also verified and have been active for years on Alibaba. Just remember to work out your costs properly. I see the delivery is estimated at $40 and your import might be about 20% which is roughly $20 - $30. The customs you will only pay before they release it. Mine was so quick last time. I paid while it was passing through the UAE, and when it landed in SA it was cleared immediately. I am not 100% sure but if you pay the customs within 48 hours they release it quickly, but if you take abit longer it falls onto a pile which could take weeks. Good luck dude. Let us know what you get.

  20. You can use my Strawberry Vostok regular autoflowers. Still a few left on bnb, or use my Russian fuel F2, both full auto

  22. I just did some chiro on the plants I put I to flower a week or so ago, works really well. No broken stems by accident, unlike with what I was doing previously. Now let's see how it goes and compares. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  24. I absolutely love this video. One of the first videos a friend showed me when I grew my very first proper outdoor plant. A gem and atleast top 5 video any grower should watch. I love the feeling of doing the chiro on the plants, feels quite satisfying. The cracking scares people usually

  25. Just had a guest staying over for the last couple days and guess what we spoke about, Landrace. It was not only an interesting discussion, but great news is there is one documentary coming out in December ( Sponsored by GHS ) , and hours of footage of another "landrace" documentary that still needs finishing. If anyone here would like to get on video and talk about landrace cannabis please let me know, any suggestions of other people who are knowledgeable in the field would be welcome to. Very excited to see this video published.

  26. What a great video! I feel its a must watch for any grower - especially a new grower who might not know this. I feel as if this Kyle Kushman and I do things in quite a similar manner, but there are somethings I will be trying for sure after watching this video. The chiropractic part is new to me, curious to give it a try though. I wish I had watched this video sooner, would have saved me time learning a lot of this myself or bits and pieces from others. @John Stonedwell A nice video with regards to how much to prune / defoliate.

  27. After much deliberating I decided to submit T3 as my submission for the comp. Here are her final pictures. She was grown in a 10L grow bag, with organic soil from Organic Matters and fed on GHE nutrients twice weekly and black strap molasses and Epson salts on a bi weekly schedule. Thank you to @420SAand @Totemicfor this amazing opportunity to grow these incredible genetics. I had a blast. Thank you to all the other growers for the support and the competition throughout.

  29. And just like that, we are done Plant #1 and the chosen one is as per the pics below. I trimmed up one bud properly to see the bud structure. The rest was wet trimmed of all big fan leaves(final dry trim to come) post drying. So after 11 weeks of flower, she is looking grand. The plant I chose was slightly smaller than the other one, but I felt like the bud structure was nice, good colour, and frosty AF! This is some serious sticky icky goodness @Totemic Thanks for the seeds and the competition, and all the awesome peeps who participated. It's a pity I didn't get to dedicate more time, as I really feel that if I had not neglected them for weeks at a time, that I would of turned up even better results. But it's a testament to the ridiculously good genetics as they really shown through even with the abuse. Soil: Mix of Freedom farms and my own custom blend Nutrients: BioBizz Bloom and Grow as well as molasses and some banana tea at the end Light: Phoenix Sky Sunplus 200 (240w) Th pics don't do her justice really. Apparently 3 were excluded (+ my video) also as I hit the limit but there you go

  30. Thanks to everyone who followed along and to everybody that pitched in with such great advise and recommendations, it really helped me up my game. Shout out to all the other growers, your shit was amazing to watch, it has been a highlight of my week to catch up on the reports Big up to @Totemic for the beautiful genetics and to @420SA for allowing me to drop in a little after the deadline.

  31. Tortoni #1: Very leafy, foxtailing galore and a headache to trim, but that SMELL I can only describe it as sweet Vicks. She was a strange grow but I am super excited to try this one out!

  32. Week 17 Update / Flower Week 11 / Harvest Thanks to 420sa fam for this experience. Being a part of this competition has pushed me to be better and pushed my hardware budget also Thanks to everyone involved and thank you all for allowing me to enter late. Overall I'm pretty happy with the result even with the 16 day handicap. This girl stole my heart right at the end with her colour and vigor. So the time of reckoning is upon us (or me).. I bring forth Tortoni #2 for your judgment and viewing pleasure..

  34. Awesome man. If you don't have any of the tortoni regs, let me know. The regs do perform better, and have a fuller, sweeter expression, with more frost, and yield. Fems are great, but they also aren't. There is just something a male adds that a reversed female just can't give.

  35. And for the people interested, the smoke report after 2 weeks on 62%. Bud smells more earthy with a sweet hint of Tumeric. Shredded the sweet smell intensivies quite a bit. I tried to define it a bit more and went sniffing on the spice rack, couldnt find something matching, even the hint of Tumeric is covered more by a smell of plastic foil you had candy wrapped in. Rolled in my usual way, 5 parts weed, 1 part cigarette First toke is as smooth as it should be was on flush. You have to focus and look very hard to find the little sweetness. Mostly a earth smoke, reminded me of the Bruce Banner Autos. The weed might need way longer curing. I test it in a few weeks again. I stick to my point that i dont judge a strain after 2 beans... and unlucky, both had the same pheno swing. Would be a bit like a foreigner says South Africa sucks and just entered customs. The plants i had reacted rather unimpressed to HST, that counts for strong genetics. On the other hand they didnt show resistance to powdery mildew, but also no special weakness to it either. Rather uncomplicated grow run. And reaching close to 15% THC on a first run of a strain, tells right away, there is some UMPF in the genetics Will try a bigger batch of Tortoni first quarter 22. The results i saw from other competitors, wants me to take a closer look Was fun, Thank You very much to all organizers, judges, prize donors, competitors and the breeder of the beans You all rock and hope you have a sexy weekend. This is THE END
