Thanks hey. When you do an apprenticeship one's success depends on the tradesman guiding you. Thank you all, I think I might just have passed although I had to do a re-write of sorts. [emoji1690][emoji109] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk3 points

If you look carefully, it is actually levitating. We got some voodoo cannabis magic going on here.3 points

So dry weight is in, not a massive harvest but at least some smoke I must say I was a bit lazy to trim so only trimmed the top nugs and the rest when in to the hash bin 223g for all the 3 comp plant together (top nugs only) 256g trim that turned in to 26.4g hash3 points

What I heard is that legal grows are pumping product into the illegal market at R10 a gram. It could be sulphur that they spayed or burnt in the last bit of the grow. Lesotho legal producers.3 points

Yeah, I got one a little while back and it is awesome! I seem to vape on a lower power then it seems, I normally set my vape to 190C - 195C Above 195C it can get a little harsh for my liking... I am not use to smoking though, be it joints or bongs. I'll take a bong over a joint though and regardless both are quite harsh and leave me coughing a lot.2 points

To me it looks like nice, frosty buds except for the second last pic. What is that separate small white pieces that i see? Remember when i was in the UK back in the day that they used to spray the buds with sugar water to add weight. Always had to test it by feeling the texture between your teeth. If it felt grainy it was sprayed or even worse, dipped in something for added weight. Thats why i only grow my own.2 points

No, that's a little more involved. I just tied the branches down a lot and defoliated a bunch. I like to try keep it simple.1 point

They look tasty I must say.. Not the most potent smell but still appealing. Having the six outdoors now to see how they do with more root space.. Bud size is also acceptable for the 5L pots I have them in. The 6 weedlings are finding the soil I put them in a bit hot, I see.. They'll be potted up on the second node and all topped and trained heavily.. maybe I leave one as is.. All depends on the fem count though..1 point

There was even rumours of scousers using powdered glass as a dip for more weight and the illusion of glistening trichomes.1 point

I do not think it has anything to do with flushing or not. I no longer flush and never experienced anything like this. I susepect the weed was sprayed with something and that's what is causing this. Seems quite dodge and suspect. Overseas it is common for weed to be laced with other substances as it makes the weed seem more potent and makes it easier to sell. Never heard of the sugar water, but a possibility too. If this is some of the weed from legal grows, then it was rejected for a reason and that reason could be why it is crackling and popping.1 point

This is what i have heard as well - it could also be greendoor thats making waves lately... last seasons outdoor harvests were nothing to scoff over... some of the best green iv seen in years going for stupidly low prices... prices that @Martin7318 is quite correct about... indoor cannot be grown for R10 a gram if its quality1 point

DE will only really work on soft bodies such as larvae dwelling in the top soil. if the plants are still in veg you gona have to combine a contact treatment with preventative measure. fighting a already existing colony and keeping the plant happy and thriving is a big challenge, there is no one and done treatment here, it will be a series of steps. I would suggest 50 to 75% (this shit is strong as hell and can easily burn your plants) strength Pyrol treatment, 3 or 4 days later a 50% Neem soil drench (don't want to contaminate your soil and make it uninhabitable for your plant), atleast 7 to 10 days after first Pyrol treatment do a second Pyrol at 50 to 75% again, another 3 or 4 days later the second 50% Neem soil drench. repeat this untill you see no more flies. if plant is showing signs of being unhappy, dial back on the % of product you spraying and skip a week of treatment to give some recovery time, but not too long, need to stay ontop of those fly fucks. once you don't see any more activity, continue with IPM, I would suggest keeping a dry layer of DE ontop of the soil, with light 25 to 50% Neem sprays every week untill flower.1 point

DE mixed into soil will slowly release minute amounts of calcium and silica in the soil, but it becomes nearly ineffective as a insecticide once wet or mixed into the soil. it also basically only works on larvae and soft bodied insects. usually something that can already fly won't be impacted by it at all. best way to use DE for countering insect life to throw a thin dry layer of it ontop of your soil, not after you watered cause it will just become wet and ineffective, wait till top soil is dry and sprinkle. Golden rule is it will never work for infestations. do this as preventative measure, rather than waiting to see unwanted activity then jump into action. by the time you see unwanted movement you gona wana do a contact insecticide treatment like Pyrol or something that will take out a already forming colony. probably gona have to do two treatments, a week apart from eachother. then continue with IPM to keep them at bay. needless to say we spray nothing during flower so all this needs to be done during veg. Also good tippy tip is to kinda always as soon as you repotted something as soon as it's dry ontop you sprinkle DE, and repeat after every watering about 5 times. So you repot, water in, the very next day will be when the larvae in the first 5cm of soil will become active and also a good time to sprinkle a layer of dry DE all over the top of the soil. so that when the larvae move upwards to hatch it will kill itself when it tries to pass by the DE.. ✌ I love DE, always got some on hand and I use it religiously. it works.1 point

So gents, its an important time to get active in cannabis now. Jeremy Acton, the leader of the Dagga Party, got very close a couple years ago with national elections and had a small percentage of votes. Since then he has been working hard to organise candidates for this years municipal elections. I think they have about 9 candidates up for voting this year in the western cape. I really do think it is possible that they can take over a ward and lead the way for a dagga homeland!!! Dont forget Jeremy was instrumental in the reason why we can grow and smoke at home, not to mention opening the flood gates for all the "legal" cannabis businesss that we have today. If you are registered to vote and in the western cape, throw your vote at the Dagga Party. As I receive them I am going to load all the phenomenal DP candidates on here so you can see yourself. Viva Dagga. Please support, like, share, tag, promote. Its not that hard, takes a couple minutes. Play your part and lets see what the cannabis community can do. Dagga Party of South Africa aims to execute a Section 235 Right to Self-Determination in the Declaration of the Cape Metro as a Cannabis Homeland by council vote to unleash the industrial and nutritional benefits of cannabis to create jobs in the value-adding of Cannabis fiber into products, andto generate sustainable energy by converting all municipal sewage treatment plants to produce biogas for local power generation, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. VOTE DAGGA PARTY. Quanita Booley Zainodean Dimitri Simmers1 point

Well, we'll see once all the leaves are off. Pictures can be deceiving, it's not a huge plant, not that I'm complaining. Yep, a bit of space between buds would have been good tho. Had to remove the lower fan leaves to get some airflow in there.1 point

Really we have the very best people fighting for Dagga in our country. I'm not sure if bias could be counted here, but seeing the talent and courageous actions, wisely taken from all of the leaders in SA. It make me really proud to be South African. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I like Jeremy, he is most passionate. It seems the whole bill scenario has hit quite a fender bender and calls for a write off. Jeremy really ignited that energy in the beginning of the hearing. Someone else mentioned. I suppose its back to waiting, If I have to pick a country in the world that could deal the final blow to a stigmatic colonialist thinking, it would have to be a country that is ripe and full of wisdom, some people say wisdom comes with age.1 point

The tent is up and what a high end piece of gear!! The only... only... gripe I have is that the drawstrings for the vents are a bit thin and don't do such a great job of closing off the vent. Other than that, this tent is fucking amazing. Just trying to pull the material over the poles you'll know that it's quality, that shit is heavy! Thanks for all the advise that led me to this purchase guys..1 point

Alright guys! Apologies for the tardiness, it has been quite the week... But none the less, my Tortoni has been harvested, stripped of its fan leaves, and is now drying in my drying cupboard area. I managed to get 4 decently sized colas out of her and some larf here and there.. Thanks for watching guys! It was another fun challenge thanks to @Totemicand @420SA Here comes the good stuff1 point

After much deliberating I decided to submit T3 as my submission for the comp. Here are her final pictures. She was grown in a 10L grow bag, with organic soil from Organic Matters and fed on GHE nutrients twice weekly and black strap molasses and Epson salts on a bi weekly schedule. Thank you to @420SAand @Totemicfor this amazing opportunity to grow these incredible genetics. I had a blast. Thank you to all the other growers for the support and the competition throughout.1 point

And just like that, we are done Plant #1 and the chosen one is as per the pics below. I trimmed up one bud properly to see the bud structure. The rest was wet trimmed of all big fan leaves(final dry trim to come) post drying. So after 11 weeks of flower, she is looking grand. The plant I chose was slightly smaller than the other one, but I felt like the bud structure was nice, good colour, and frosty AF! This is some serious sticky icky goodness @Totemic Thanks for the seeds and the competition, and all the awesome peeps who participated. It's a pity I didn't get to dedicate more time, as I really feel that if I had not neglected them for weeks at a time, that I would of turned up even better results. But it's a testament to the ridiculously good genetics as they really shown through even with the abuse. Soil: Mix of Freedom farms and my own custom blend Nutrients: BioBizz Bloom and Grow as well as molasses and some banana tea at the end Light: Phoenix Sky Sunplus 200 (240w) Th pics don't do her justice really. Apparently 3 were excluded (+ my video) also as I hit the limit but there you go1 point

Wow, this really sucks. I wasn't going to blast them online after my bad experience, because they did refund me after all. But after seeing this maybe I should share. After ignoring me for a week, they contacted me via whatsapp (personal, non-business account with no profile pic...sus). They apologised and explained that the seeds were stuck at customs (but its in stock on their website...sus). They refunded my money and said they would send free in-house genetics seeds to compensate for the stress and massive delay. It took me another 2 weeks of following up on this promise and eventually just gave them a polite fuck you, blocked them, and gave up. Totally unexpectedly I get a package from courier guy yesterday, its the free "in house" seeds. I'm VERY skeptical of what these seeds actually are cos they sent me 16 of them and I highly doubt they will just give away over R5000 worth of free stuff. I still managed to find the 6 pack of 24K seeds I was looking for at Natural Highs.co.za. I had the complete opposite experience with them, really really great service and I got my seeds a few days later with constant updates via whatsapp0 points
