  2. I used to go for the unbleached OCB papers, but now I like this pack better so I roll with them

  3. So I was wondering, price aside, which is your preferred rolling paper / cone? There are loads, so I mentioned some of the more popular or common ones and then there is an other option and you can just mention it in your post.

  4. Plain small red pack Rizla or zigzag, dont know why they get so much hate. I hate a joint that dies out too easily or turns brown halfway through. None of my friends agree with me.

  5. I also always used to go for OCB Slim, but lately rolling with RAW. Recently I bought a pack of RAW with gerrick papers included, and man that gerrick paper is perfect too.

  7. The 1st one I transplanted about week and a half ago into the 80L tub. She has responded well to the beans growing beside her. She does look healthy and happy The 2nd one I only transplanted yesterday. So she still needs to get going but will surely speed up soon. I will look and see if I have any extra beans left to plant in the pot next to her, but I doubt I have left. Already planted them all... I will wait until tomorrow when the weather is hotter, then I'll start feeding with Humigro, Seagro and Humic Acid...

  8. All the soils have their pros and cons. freedom farms need to feed toward the end of Flower orgasoilux is a bit stinky and also contains peat so you cannot dry out the soil completely. Organics matter seems like a good all rounder. I don’t think much is needed. what I am trying to say is you will need to experiment with the soils and see what works for you.

  9. In order from the top is my favorite at the moment. Can't comment on Raw as I haven't come across them yet. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

  10. I do not recommend Mammoth. I am quite disappointed with the quality of mine, I expected better or a lower price to justify the quality. I have heard good things about Mars tents and my friend loves his Mars tents. The quality looks good from what I have seen. Budbox, I love mine! There are 2 gripes I have with it where I feel it could be improved to make it near perfect but not the end of the world either. Secret Jardin is not bad either, but the quality varies depending on which range you are looking at. Also a big no for the Magic Garden tents, even worse quality than Mammoth. I'd also give that Plant Living tent a skip, seems to be a no name chinese tent and often the quality is questionable - despite the fact that some use metal corners. Light House I have heard of but never seen in person @Ill_Evan may be able to give more info on the Light House tents. I think he has seen them in person.

  11. My plants are in quite big pots. They drink about 8 liters of water a day atm. (3 plants) This is with the blumat system installed. freedom farms is basically coco peat so I cannot see that coco can hold more water than coco. As soon as you add sphagnum peat moss to the mix your moisture holding capacity increases. Organics Matter soil contains peat moss. So technically it should retain more water. They have also improved there mix over time. If you are looking for something you can reuse I would go with it. Jamie’s garden shop makes the orgasoilux. His soil is blended by Growrite in Epping as far as I know. He had his soil tested and the soil test can be found on his Instagram page and website. The most important part for me is to inoculate your soil with microbes. Be it bacteria or mycorrhizal fungi. Another beneficial organic additives is malted barley teas, especially in the first grow using the soil. My soil is now on its 3rd grow and it is just getting better.

  12. when a company strives to keep to their mission statement as well as RAW does, it makes no sense to look anywhere else for quality papers IMHO when RAW was a lot less available than it is today, i opt for my next preference which is OCB Slim. growing up and learning how i like to smoke, Rizzla was the main rolling paper, but damn that paper taste is so strong if i am forced to roll in white bleached paper. peace and love guys!

  13. Nice, My first book was the university of Oaksterdam... I would have preferred something like True living organics.

  14. No probs, the guys really helped me out in getting the BudBox, I can highly recommend that tent also. The price difference is more than worth it IMHO, it's a serious piece of kit. But I hear good thing about the Mars also

  15. Just another little update! I did a major defoliation(1st) on the 30th(I felt that I removed too many leaved and branches) but by the time 5th October (2nd Pic) I changed to 12/12 for Flower on the 5th and added an extra 90w light to maximize light penatration and coverage. Got 570W for Flower hoping to beat my previous grow but time will tell.

  16. Good day fam! So I'm back up and growing again! This time it's 4 x Loud Cake (seed) and 1 x Dirty Kush Breath (Clone) They all started in some freedom farms starter and then moved into CannaPro and started feeding Mega Solutions. They struggled a bit for the 1st 2 weeks while I was getting conditions in order, they don't like anything under 18 degrees but since Temps are more stable they are growing nicely. I've topped them already and they responding well. There's one loud cake that's standing out with growth and structure but excited to see how they turn out. They currently under 2 x 120w Modugrow I'll turn on the 240w QB in 2 weeks and then add another 90w later. I'm hoping to flip the 1st week of October

  17. Yo 420SA Community, 1st time indoor grower, couple of years experience growing outdoors. This season I'm hoping to take on both. I've only ever grown in soil and intend to do my first few indoor runs using soil as well. Not looking at growing in coco or hydro just yet, would rather like a smoother transition from what I know so far. Question I have is, what soil / soil mix do indoor growers on here use? I have used the Freedom Farms Green Bag in previous years for outdoor. Can I use the same for indoor? Is it just Freedom Farms and then bottled nutrients through the grow? Do growers add any other things to their soil or is the Freedom Farms bags enough? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

  20. I think the issue with the drawstring is the material is textured and a bit grippy, which makes pulling on the drawstring a bit of a mission. If it was PTFE lined or another material which is not as grippy, I think it would work well then. Glad you like your tent though!

  21. I have a mars and a mammoth tent. Both are good quality. I see there is a mars on gumtree for a good price if your in CT area.

  22. Defiantly going to be spending a little extra and go for either the budbox or Mars tent ✌ Now just to decide to which one

  23. This one has been on my mind for sometime, I picked up a couple of really effective methods from the The regenerative growers guide to garden amendments. Now I'm definitely going to spy this one, thank you kindly.

  25. I actually had 2 of the Magic Garden tents from GTH and they were riddled with light leaks and the quality is FAR inferior to the BudBox or the Mars (I hear). The extra R1300 for such a big leap in quality in a no-brainer for me. If you've been saving to buy your indoor kit and you settle for shitty quality over price you are going to be majorly disappointed a few weeks down the line when it comes flower time. If the R1300 extra is out of pocket, maybe save just a little longer, it'll be worth it to invest in quality. Just my take it or leave it

  26. So the F3 testers were harvested. Have not done a count yet but it looks to close to a 100 or so beans. These will be grown to see if the LGO has become stable at all. Had a good puff on the left overs and I'm satisfied with the terpene profile and kick.. If anny body in Cape Town is keen on trying these I'll be more than happy to share. 40 beans up for grabs.. Have a awesome weekend growmies..

  27. @Dr. Green Thumb what's up bud Just a reminder everytime you gona work with coco to make sure the coco is buffered. If you buying already expanded coco make sure the brand states it's buffered, if you gona buy coco bricks you gona have to buffer them yourself. another noteworthy thing when doing a coco/perlite grow is you're basically doing a hydroponic grow. the coco/perlite will just act as a medium the roots can hold onto, this will mean you gona be better off using nutes meant for hydroponic growing. you been growing outdoors so I am gona shoot in the dark here and assume it wasn't hydro setup and you didn't do much in regards of PH and EC? if you wana move over to coco/perlite hydro style grow you gona have to pay close attention to PH and EC. with living soil and organic growing you don't concern yourself with that too much, although I do recommend getting a PH and EC pen on hand anyway for those check ups and to minimize guessing work. Freedom Farms I think is the go to with most growers using that (there is a poll on the forum, also word of mouth), honestly I have tried every bag of cannabis "craft" soil, the most important thing here is actually consistency, freedom farms has that down to a T. every single time I try out new soil I think it's the kitties titties, till I run into shit then I find myself back on the ol' trusty, Freedom Farms green bag. if you growing in a living soil I would recommend going the organic nutrient way, there will be much conflict surrounding this topic and I shit you not it will never end. however choice is yours anyway. GOLDEN RULE - with living soils and organic nutrients LESS IS MORE, and in any living soil you wait till the plant starts asking for nutes instead of just giving the whole time like with sythetic nutes. argument is always organic is so much more expensive, well honestly you use like 1/10th of the amount of shit you'll need for hydro.

  28. Im not an indoor grower but from what i've seen, coco/perlite medium and a nute regime. Just make bloody sure to stay on top of watering/feeding to avoid the medium to dry out too much due to its relatively low water holding capacity. Synthetic or organic. Your choice. With outdoor you can experiment a bit more. Bugs will be had outdoors. Part of the fun.

  31. Tortoni #3: My organic girl, miss elegant.. she was such a beautiful plant, she had a beautiful structure and nice bud development, very indica-ish. Loved watching her grow and loved to learn about growing organically.

  32. Tortoni #1: Very leafy, foxtailing galore and a headache to trim, but that SMELL I can only describe it as sweet Vicks. She was a strange grow but I am super excited to try this one out!

  34. When I was growing with soil I preferred the Organics Matter over Freedom Farms. I do not recall Orgasoillux, perhaps that was introduced after I moved away from soil. Coco will hold more water than soil, it is also more important to ensure your soil never dries out completely as this will negatively affect the soil and microbes as it will lead to the soil compacting more and it is more difficult to rehydrate soil than it is coco. Soil will make for an easier transition to indoor growing though but deciding to go coco or hydro off the bat is not a bad idea either as you know how to grow and have some experience... Plus it is not all that difficult or different to be honest.
