End of week 2 since flip and it seems like the ladies have stopped their stretch (thank goodness) So for the flip I gave the organics a top dress of Bloom nutes and worm castings, will reammend again in 4 weeks and for the synthetics I did my own ratio of bottle nutes by balancing the grow and bloom nutes in order to feed abit more nitrogen during the stretch phase. As from this week onwards it full strength of bloom. I did some super cropping at the end of week 1 of flip just to build those nice "Knuckles" we like on the stems The synthetics have caught up with the organics during the stretch somewhat, I think it's mostly due to them being super slivers. The stretch on them is INSANE! One can only imagine how they do outdoors! Also discovered a male Super Silver that I will be keeping for pollen, all the other super sipvers plants turned out to be females Bag that B**ch! So the boring part is finally over andnow the interesting part begins. Next update we ll take a closer look at the ladies bud formation. Peace4 points

So 1 and 2 came down yesterday. The pollinated girl is seed only and absolutely no bulk on her. Nr 2 is a diferent story.. For a 5L pot and 12/12 lighting, I think she really did well. 92 days from seed. Thnx @Bay Seeds, you restored my faith in autos. Nr 3 will come down in the week. Nr1 Nr3 The outdoor girls were given more root space..4 points

The Chockolate Gelato Fem came down today.. What a awesome yielder. I'm really happy with the results keeping in mind that she was in a 5L pot and only got fed the Super Frass, Sea Weed and Microbes.. I love this Pheno.. Nice one @Totemic3 points

When did you flip? Before or after the 3rd of July? That cutoff date only applied if you flipped after the 3rd of July Nevertheless, if you declared your grow ready for judging on the 7th you'll remain in the running then. Sorry for the confusion2 points

if there are roots, you still gotta make sure she doesnt dry out! and uf there are roots, i would give her some sun... the light green of the leaves tells me she needs food2 points
-
yeild depends on way too many factors to give you a yes or no answer - the damaged plant needs to grow for many weeks before you flip her...if you flip her along with the rest of the plants, then you will be wasting the plant - she needs much longer to recover - the leaves will never come right and new growth is necessary2 points

Is not enough light to get em into flower mode... if you have em on 12/12 flower anyhow, doesnt matter much. But your plants in veg you can stress very much. Stage 2 and 2 dark times at the wrong time can easy stress the Ladies. As 18 - 5 = 13. A week load shedding can push em into flip, even you dont want and reveg after. Weak genetics will easy respond to hermi on you.. and that is a total loss. The cheap fix are those load shedding lights activating once power goes out, just connect it to the right power line or you funk over too.2 points

Well, I think both are decent. I personally would get a light with some Samsung LM301B/H diodes - I have been growing with LM301B diodes for over 3 years and they're awesome and still some of the best value for money diodes around which are tried and tested. Most of my friends also use lights with the Samsung LM301B diodes and no complaints, they're just happy and impressed with the performance compared to the lights they were using previously. Epistar diodes are also good but I feel the Samsung LM301B has the upper hand in terms of efficiency. I do not think Mars Hydro state which Epistar diodes they make use of, so cannot pull the specs and confirm. I doubt the Epistar diodes are more efficient than the Samsungs though. Is it just those 2 lights which you are considering? Based on the pricing I can find, the below is the price per watt. Might be more useful comparing value this way considering the one light is 240W and the other is 300W. Light It Up: R17.70 Mars Hydro: R29.33 In a 1.2m x 0.6m tent (you said it would fit better in the space you had) 240W would be sufficient I feel. In a 1m x 1m tent (I feel a bigger tent is the way to go, the space will always be appreciated) having more than 240W would be nice but you can get good results with just 240W in the 1m x 1m still. When taking price into consideration, you could spend the same amount of money on 2x 240W lights for a total of 480W vs 1x Mars TSL-2000 which is 300W. Both are dimmable lights, both are silent and fan less.1 point

T3 Same story as T2 under the microscope. Some nice solid dense bugs on this one. My favorite.1 point

T2 Almost there. Trichomes milky with some amber starting to show. Sugar leaves more on the amber side.1 point

Option 1 gives you a larger grow area (1sqm vs 0.72sqm on the 1.2m x 0.6m tent). More space is always welcome! Based on this I would recommend option 1. In terms of the lights, well, you have seen the reviews. Let us know what you decide and then start a grow diary for your indoor grow!1 point

I think they are all quite beneficial except the ones that attract pest,I noramlly use Dicondra, Lettuce, Cabbage, Baby Cabbage, oats and barley always sprout because they are in the soil and the mulch, the edible flower varieties I've just put in the veg bed, Swiss chard, Arugula, Did marigold, they didn't attract any pest, but apparently you suppose to watch out for that. Brassicas are all very good as well.1 point

I remember years ago I imported a Super Meat Boy t shirt and the customs was more than the shirt [emoji2957] As for the lights, my understanding is extra darkness shouldn’t matter, it’s more about extra light interrupting the dark cycle that causes problems Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Bummer was really keen on seeing how the bud looked ! I’d love to get my hands on some seed from 707 to add to my funky smelling weed collection1 point

So the bitch hermied.. It's a bit disappointing but relieved it happened now and not later in flower..1 point

Received a shirt from overseas on Monday, SARS customs duty was R297 for the shirt. I think they are tightening importing controls from overseas, or just trying to make bucks. Not to sure, but never importing a shirt again.1 point

Time has passed and i served the guys at Poker some Tortoni. It is not a taste cannon.. but over all a way over average smoke due to smoothness and the pleasant flavors you get when exhaling. They asked me if there is more coming.. I said yes and there was happiness all around the table As said, I am very sure I find a way better pheno and will do a hunt with regulars as soon as I have space. If you smokes a lot and have cough issues.. this weed is a nice solution. Buddy wanted to make a break, because of his lungs.. he is total fan of the Tortoni smoothness, had zero issues smoking it.1 point

Quarintine all incoming plants, dose them and keep separate from main grow area. More treatments at lower dosages are more effective so you can cover the whole life cycle of the pest/mite from egg to larvae to adult- killing all of them. IPM is a neccesity, mites are tough buggers and some are known develop resistance if you keep using the same stuff repeatedly. We like to mix it up with more than one insecticide. Hit them hard with different stuff more than once.1 point

Agree with the mulch idea, remarkable difference in moisture retention and top soil layer temps. Also noticed more 'activity' in the top layer with mulch. Our outdoor growbeds have yet to be 'watered' and the potted plants (25-30lt) seem to last a day or two longer than usual.1 point

I looked more into mars hydro and saw these tent & light combos. - Mars Combo FC-3000 - Aeradix | Mars-Hydro South Africa -Mars Combo TSL-2000 - Aeradix | Mars-Hydro South Africa (I'm extremely keen on this combo even though the tent is smaller, will be easier to manage in the space its going in) -Mars Combo FCE-4800 - Aeradix | Mars-Hydro South Africa Edit: I have seen some great reviews of the lights from Powerful LED Quantum Board Grow lights - Light It Up Store and they are also on my list. 1. 100 x 100 x 180 tent w/ 240W Quantum Board LED Grow Light - Light It Up 2. this 120 x 60 x 180 tent combo Mars Combo TSL-2000 - Aeradix | Mars-Hydro South Africa1 point

So dry weight is in, not a massive harvest but at least some smoke I must say I was a bit lazy to trim so only trimmed the top nugs and the rest when in to the hash bin 223g for all the 3 comp plant together (top nugs only) 256g trim that turned in to 26.4g hash1 point

And this bonus one is for all you sickos out there who love growing donkey dongs as much as I do1 point

Day 63 in flower ! #1- This one will be my chosen one , she was topped. Plain Coco/peatmoss/perlite with Elemental Blend and 15% wormcasting/compost. Plain rainwater and Fire Juice at 3ml/L (2ml is recommended) , no nuteburn on her and nice tight colas. #2- Different pheno , smaller buds and rocket shaped. She was Fimmed. Elemental Blend as above mixed 50/50 with FF Premium(Greenbag). She got some nuteburn as you can see. #3-Also different pheno , looks like foxtailing . She was left to do her Xmas tree look. No nuteburn on her. I like her also. Yield should be more than other 2 . Pics #1 , #2 and #3 Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk1 point

Sprout at least 50 regular f1's of your strain, you should have at least 25 females , take 2 clones off every female while still in veg. tag and keep in veg room. Take the remaining females that you cut clones off and start stressing them with heat, light, humidity, cold. Make them unhappy. They will quikly turn herm, if they have that in their genetics. The ones that dont turn herm are your keepers and you have 2 copies in the veg room.1 point

Looks crazy, and been messing with some tasty strains. This is malawi x kush ( malawi gold OG ) with a trippy magic weed mantis that has been hanging around for free for about 4 weeks. This is in the pipe lately. Put some kush in it.1 point

@GGG this very move has unfortunately cost you a chance in this competition.... It is clearly stated in the rules that you are not allowed to have your plants under the sun for an extended period of time, other than to take photos. I'm afraid we have to disqualify you. We simply cannot judge your plants after they have spent 12 days under the sun. Please remember to read the rules carefully in the future. Else it leads to harsh realities such as this.0 points
