  1. And here we are finally... It's been an agonizing wait for many of you, for some of you the wait will have been worth it. This growoff has produced many quality grows, many more than our previous growoff and big up to all of you who made it till the end. I would gladly smoke bud from any of your trees! Without any further blabbering let's get straight to the point and announce our winners Please note that winners of overall prizes are ineligible for the category prizes Category Prizes The Fattest Cola @CreX Best Grow Diary @McMan DIARY LINK Best Trained Plant @Prom Overall Prizes 3rd Place @iGrowDagga 2nd Place @SkunkPharm Our Champion @mantis 1st place was a VERY tough decision to make for us. Mantis and Skunkpharm both produced superb grows. Both with differing appealing qualities. What it ultimately came down to was which grow had the least flaws and @SkunkPharm I'm afraid your small thrips infestation is what counted against you and tipped the scale in favour of @mantis. It was a margin as fine as that. As I say though, you guys both produced two very solid grows. The simple way to put how we judge this competition is we are looking for the grow that is the most "Pro". Would the grow be accepted according to an indoor commercial grow operation standard. Those are harsh but necessary standards, and the same applies here in this comp. Meeting the criteria is key. Thank you to all of you who came along for this ride. Congratulations to all our winners Thank you to our genetics sponsor Thank you to @Totemic for sponsoring the genetics that I feel did really well overall this comp. Very promising for the future indeed! And of course our generous prize sponsors @Light It Up @Aeradix Green Smoke Room @Cannabist Green Grow Room @ExploGrow @Golden-Goose @THCSA (TheHighCo.) @Futurama Hydroponics Till next time!

  8. Good afternoon, I am a long time smoker who recently acquired a DynaVap M. I am currently scouring the internet for anything marijuana related in South Africa, but we seem to be lacking a bit in that department so here I am! Thought I had an account tho, as I remember a few years ago I got dr Green F and Monkeys details on a forum such as this I have some experience in the whole process of the plant (from germination to ash) Thank you for reading

  12. Excuse my short answer last night, and have been extremely busy of late. QBG has been nothing short of spectacular, and @Chris Jayis completely right and the owner is an exceptional person. From the beginning they have made me feel at home, and truly family. For the peeps in the EC, there is so much going on at that shop, workshops, giveaways, clone lessons and much more. Trooper

  32. If your plant got a high Brix% bugs will stay away natutally, but if you got a plant that's a bit compromised and there are bugs in your garden it's just a matter of time before they find the plant. In farming we used a lot of sacraficial plants, best example right now would be a rose bush amongst shrubs. growing different berry shrubs we would plant a rose bush at the end of the line. if there are insects present, they'll be on the rose buds and the roses would bud about a month before the berries flowered. giving us about 2 weeks to monitor and act accordingly. what we picked up is that you find a rose bush with bugs on it, it's not always just the plants closest to it that also got the bugs, but rather the more unhealthy looking shrubs in and around that line. after a while you can spot the infested plants from a distance. One year we where replacing the rose bushes as they where never maintained, we ripped them out and it was a good 6 months before planting new ones because of poor management. This prooved to be quite a interesting experiment, because what we found is the plants that year that you would spot in the distance looking like it's not doing well, you go over to the plant, no bugs!!! so the roses didn't act as a sacraficial plant as some of the Agriculture students where soooo religious about, instead it acted as an insect lure ensuring infestations each year and thus ensuring higher doses and more frequent IPM. they don't use "sacraficial" plants anymore. can't say for sure that this is the case, because again there are so many factors at play and obviously cannabis and bean plants differ from berries and roses. Personally I have just lost the idea of sacraficial plants. I moved over to sticky traps, their colours still attract bugs, that's what they made for, but at least bugs can't infest, live, breed and colonise on your sticky traps. with a "sacraficial" plant you basically inviting and farming insects.

  33. Funny enough, the beans that is near the plants have pests on them, but the ones away from the plants has none... So I guess they do attract pests away from our ladies. Wil check again today to confirm on that statement

  34. @Golden-Goosethis a very cool project! I would be super interested in this particular line. If you ever need a tester or these become available on your website at a later stage at F2 or so I would for sure scoop some up. Keep it up!

  35. I don't usually reply in breeders topics, but I will have to say this since the opportunity has presented itself, I was gifted 2 packs of 10 Tortoni F1s, gave 15 to my friend for his outdoor and kept 5 for myself, he went germinated his and I germinated mine... out of those 20..20 germinated. That's 100% germination, to add all the females had some of the most beautiful and frosty buds coming out of those plants and not to kiss ass here because anyone who has followed my grows will know which breeder I stand by but 1 has to say @Totemicthat's impressive

  38. Looking good thereBe careful with beans. They tend to attract pests from my experiences so far. Tomatoes same thing. White flies seem to love them.
