  5. Status update time. Strawberry Deluxe still in a hurry, both popped up the next day, no sign of harm from mishandling the 2nd. Yay! They spent another morning on the kitchen counter and have now found their way into Greenhouse V2 to continue their journey. The Strawberry Sugar cookies still hadn't popped in the towel after day 3, so went into baby pots and hope for the best. If they dont end up popping up I will elaborate on what I think I did wrong with them. But for now fingers crossed they will pop up shortly. The Regs are mostly up. 5 out of 6 up and running so far and should go outside tomorrow perhaps. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

  6. Being by the sea, your RH is likely higher in general and that may affect you negatively. Airflow and temps would become even more important.

  7. I get you, yeah early trance was a different thing to the song I posted, the CD I mentioned that was given to me around 2000 did not contain the song I posted, it was a GOA Gill CD. pure as trance could be. Trance grew from GOA music which was psychedelic in itself, so trance can't really be trance if it's not "psytrance". it's just another form of the word. depending on who you ask. Sooo I technically did not call that trance, I did kinda mention "high tech" before that song, but that's also not high tech either. It's just a good tech song. I have to say, to me, old school trance such as armin and those guys, even the GOA Gil cd I recieved, all have very little technical style to their sounds and a more pronounced "doef doef doef" with no other sounds in between, just sounds like a slowed down version of trances' rolling bass, accentuating how repetetive it is. that rolling bass resides in all techno, but atleast with high tech you get a little extra... old school trance didn't quite have the right computer programs to write such intricate tech music and therefor sounded a lot more repetetive than todays trance, because it was slower and less sounds. like the house and d&b we get today. I saw Coming Soon live a number of years back at one of the Alien Safari trance party here in CPT. it's trance alright, got some tech here and there, but because of the mix of over commercialised music it attracted the wrong crowds. it was a nightmare of an event. half the people had their tents cut open and shit taken out, a lot of fights broke out, some people got stabbed.... some shit you'll never see at a true trance party.... The new school "psytrance" side of tech does not allow overly commercial music, because of the crowds it attracts. There is a small group of about 100 to 200 people here in CPT that get together every now and then through invites only and we moer the trance trance. No mix music. I guess to me the most important part is the technical stuff, I really don't mind the bass roll but it must just be a little faster and accompanied with other sounds. trance really have come a long long way since the likes of those coming soon guys. they are ou nuus my bra, they don't even play trance parties anymore and should be concidered house music these days with their mixes. check out some of these guys. completely different thing all together.

  8. It's the eina scorpion, everybody out here has a paramedic or two on speed dial. Cape Cobra, well. We leave them be. If the population gets too large on the farm and we start seeing them in the shade houses first option is catch and release on a nature reserve up the road. Yes with permission [emoji6]. Last option is death unfortunately. Mole snakes we don't bother about. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

  10. Week 5 update. It's growing lol I think the late defoliation hurt my harvest, there is a distinct period in week 3-4 whereby the plant pushes flowers out and I probably took too much leaves off in an attempt to control mold, which is under control for now, just [emoji15] Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk

  15. @Naughty.Psychonaut Not really the stuff I listen to anymore. A little bit now and then is fine, but I think I may have screwed myself over by going to ESP as often as I use to a few years back. It just got a bit much and I started venturing away from the psytrace / goa / High Tech stage - whatever you wanna call it. I feel one could clump it under Psytrance with the various sub-genres like more music genres have. Drum n Bass is no difference with the jump up, jungle and liquid sub-genres. I find Drum n Bass and the sub-genres to be quite varied and I enjoy that. It even gets a bit commercial at times. The exact same happens with techno too, quite a few sub-genres. Now what you call techno, is it what I call techno? Keeping in mind you do get different types of techno. The above to me is what I would classify as techno. Quite a few dislike it and find it too repetitive and it can be at times, but it does not have to be. House, well, soo many sub genres there but I do enjoy some more housey music as well.

  16. lol yeah but there's a difference between eina and dead hahah but I understand what you mean! avoid them all I got stung on my toe by a scorpion like 2 years back, luckily not a deadly guy but I wouldn't have known that had I not taken photos... the fucker was in my shoe, but to his defence I was working deeeep in the bush up in the mountains with holes in my vellies! here's the fucker that got me almost every year around this time, when it starts heating up, snakes come out. we had that overpopulation situation with puff adders. some times we'll have to move up to 3 of them on a day! check out this chonker we didn't have too many cobras, though I think I spotted a rinkhals once, but he was gone before I could confirm. we did come across this beautiful dosile little cape cobra one day, usually they scurry off when we spot them, but it seemed this guy wanted some company, he curled up on the rake and just kinda chilled with us for a while. was also quite cold that day, so maybe that slowed him down a bit.

  17. Cool, but on the flipside there are some plants that are super resistant - Im always having issues, will have to invest in new extraction and circulation fans - plus im close to the sea, wonder if that also contributes. Anyways I have finally found a strain that doesnt get mold,so I will prob just run that inside until I can find another strain.Strain is Critical mass cheese, but I noticed that cheese in general doesnt get mold even when my other plants show. I have 3 x 1.2m mom plants in a 80cm tent, the cheese refuses to grow mold and the other 2 have spots of mold.

  18. Environment plays a big role, I have seen grows with a tent packed tightly and fan leaves staying on for duration of flower without PM simply due to the fact that the RH, temp and fan is controlled well. No IPM either. Add IPM and it can make a big difference and make life much easier.

  19. Thanks bud. Yes, they will stay in those 10L pots until the end.

  20. Probably, but I'm just going purely by the last pic, I don't see a single fan so his environment is dialed in, just wanted to find out if he did anything else because I would never be able to run plants that dense with out some mold in my setup, without some IPM schedule. 23. @Naughty.Psychonaut You're calling it trance, that is psytrance IMO. Trance I feel is the stuff from back in the day with ATB, Armin van Buren, Above and Beyond. I feel it has kinda died and people moved on though. Music change and evolved and that did not carry through. I use to love Psytrance, however it gets a bit too repetitive, especially when one goes to a festival as it's just that rolling bass the whole time. The track you posted is cool though. Reminds me of some of the Infected Mushroom stuff. Daydin and Neelix also have some nicer stuff which isn't just that rolling bass the whole time. If I am at a festival, I am not at the Psytrance stage which is often the main stage. I'd rather make my way over to the House, Techno or D&B stage. If it is just Psytrance, I do not go. There has also been quite a bit of mixing of genres which I am not against at all. I feel this is a good example of such as well. Coming Soon also have some good stuff.

  24. Yea, here in the city the only animals are the cats in the complex or the birds. lol I too an not a fan of Roundup. I see there are other "lawn herbicides" though. May resort to that once the lawn is in and if I still end up with weeds then. I tried the Finalsan, the shit goes quickly. 200ml per L So 2.5L from a 500ml bottle, could not even do the entire 70sqm of or so of the garden. Works okish, was hoping for something more dramatic... Like the plants dieing and burning and being all shriveled up. I think it would work well for only a few weeds or weeds on a pavement. I ended up pulling a lot out with the use of a spade.

  26. Prefer having weeds in my garden than using roundup. Whats interesting is we have learnt what weeds are edible and what are not e.g lambs quarter. Also lots of the weeds are eaten by our animals, used in compost teas or just added into the compost pile.

  27. she's looking mighty fine brother damn, you know the species of scorpion you got there? you know what they say about those guys, "big pinchers - small venom, small pinchers - big venom" and it looks like that guy got some really small pinchers or is it just out of sight? snakes are spine tingly little freaks of nature, adds to why I like them so much! luckily the cape cobra falls part of the half of the genus that doesn't spit, but still their bite is deadly. their venom contains some potent neurotoxin that'll shut down your central nervous system in just a couple of hours, fisrt thing that'll happen is the nerves in your brain stop telling your lungs what to do and you'll die of respitory paralysis. not cool at all...

  33. I have pondered over the idea of a "Supporting Membership" with an annual fee but wouldn't want to keep any helpful info behind a paywall, but rather the membership would give access to exclusive giveaways and such from vendors etc. The community however is still too small and it wouldn't make viable sense for giveaway sponsors I don't think.

  35. Adding to that. I am more than willing to contribute to a membership fee or donation to support this forum. Don't know how the other members feel about this. Scamsters will hopefully look elsewhere if it ain't free.

  36. Some have been topped and some have not. That's about it. Most of those plants are about 1.5m tall if I remember correctly. I don't want excessive training on the test plants. I want to be able to see them as close to el naturale as possible.

  39. freakshow Zweet Inzanity Getting cut up for clones pretty soon. Ordered an aero cloner to speed up the process. Pineapple Express from fastbuds getting SV pollen. Upstairs the SV'S are getting mature and we started havesting a few. Putting Anastasia 99 regular auto seeds in the spots that open up. @TotemicGhost Train haze x Slurricane The purple plants look great, keeping clones. But the green pheno is much stronger and has something special, its terp profile is pure gas, like burnt rubber, pig farm, pig shit tipe smell. Very impressed. You can smelll that it will cure out very nice.

  42. SCROG it is not. Without getting into the finer details about what makes a SCROG or not this grow is leaning towards using a net for support more than a SCROG. Next time I'll train the plant correctly from the beginning. This cutting I used to take more cuttings and the shape of the plant sent me down this path. I've stretched a 800mm x 800mm net into a 900mm x 900mm cabinet. Squares are to big for my liking (120mm x 120mm) but working. Have another screen (100mm x 100mm squares) which I can adjust the height when the time comes. Last two pics. I know I need to defoliate below the net at some stage. I know there is going to be a growth spurt. Anyone's 2c will be appreciated.

  44. Duck Auto by Dutch passion doing ok, spraying her daily with 42ppm colloidal silver instead of sts. If I get one seed of her i would be happy. The Darkstars didnt respond well to going into new soil, moved them to a cooler part of the garden. As long as I can keep them alive I will be happy. 3 x chocolate gelato by totemic - 1 x triple cheese by barney's farm - 1 x critical orange punch by dutch passion. Not doing well but surviving. Miracle alien cookies Zweet inzanity The big one is the random seed, probably a chocolate gelato hybrid Upstairs the SV's are doing well, not sure about that tall one, its not auto. Strawberry cheesecake auto. More SV's two weeks behind the other 3 pots. Freakshow, 2 x SV auto, 1 x pineapple express auto getting Sv pollen.. Started working on the new retail packs. Jade alien auto = lemon larry og from seedsman crossed with Strawberry vostok auto - SV Anastasia 99 auto = cinderella jack by dutch passion crossed with SV Jessica rabbit auto= strawberry cheesecake auto crossed with SV

  45. So I cleaned up the Tortoni, banana Mac and Slurricane, flipped them yesterday under the qb. I am afraid I have left them get too big but I do have some space left if they really stretch, mainly worried about the slurricane.(Pics below) I moved the remaining 3 moms to the smaller veg tent, and have 4 established clones going, but going to take more soon. (Pics to Follow) My outdoor clones are all established and the roots are growing out the bottom of all of them so have some hard graff to do this coming week with the light hours moving pass the 12 hour mark, it's time to get my outdoor veg on! I am starting to play with proper bonsais.
