Day 32 of 12/12 This is pheno no.9 I asked the tester to keep a close eye on this one, as I think she has what it takes to be the chosen one. She stands 1.7m tall and is very pineapple smelling.8 points

Been almost 2 weeks since last update, week 15 of the grow, currently in the 7th week of flower. I've been struggling with nutes, following the schedule was going great until about 3rd week of flower. The nute burn got worse and what I'd guess is some nitrogen toxicity plagued the tent. Still growing and looking decent in my unprofessional opinion. I keep having to remind myself that it's my first grow and this is how I learn . Flowers gaining weight and I'm having to mcguyver plans to keep them up straight, seems to be doing the job I'd say we're getting pretty close now, 2-3 weeks and we're ready to chop??6 points

LOL! I will definitely keep you in mind bud. I must say... I can't wait to sample the end product. 12 individual nugs to sample of your own creation sounds like heaven right about now. Maybe I will run some kind of promotional PC cup where you guys help choose the winning pheno.3 points

eish man - you wont realize it until later on - but that move is the beginning of the end for your hydro setup. when i tried something similar in my early hydro days, taking a plant inside from outside, washed the roots and so on - i actually did exactly what you did TBH. first thing - plant roots are very fragile and do not take well to washing, recovery will take a while second thing, and this is the kicker - you have brought your outside bacteria and fungi, and introduced it to your res - they will multiply, and cause shit. like im not even gonna consider any other realities for your res man, it is infected and you need to make a compost tea with the right bacteria and fungi in it or you will not experience a happy plant in that bucket ever again... even deep cleaning with bleach wont help you now - only the tea can help you now. that or buy a new bucket and new everything that touched the water in your res. thirdly - is that an auto or a photoperiod plant? if it is an auto - it will likely not survive to give you any decent bud - if it is a photo period plant, make sure its getting 18 hours of light a day. heres a link to a tea i have made with huge success. https://www.420sa.co.za/topic/2631-teas-teas-teas/?do=findComment&comment=29973 stick close man - i dont mind helping you through this time2 points

Well, firstly the plant is probably in a bit of shock due to the roots being messed with. Also I find a drastic change with the medium (like going from hydro to soil / coco or visa versa) can also put the plant into a bit of shock and it takes time to adapt. Lastly, did you mix nutes at the correct strength and did you PH the solution correctly? PH is very important when going hydro or coco. The plant is also busy flowering so will need a bit of time to reveg and come right. Provided the nutes and PH are fine and the roots are in the water then give it a few weeks to adapt and reveg. Once it is back in veg growth should start to explode. I'd say 2 to 3 weeks for a recovery.2 points

Harvest day of Dinamed 1. Took a couple last portraits yesterday before harvesting at dawn this morning. It's not a lot of bud but I'm impressed considering how small she was. I've done a rough wet trim and placed the buds in the wedryer. Reckon I'll do another trim in a few days before curing.2 points

Morning folks. So the clean up worked wonders and the plants have recovered exceptionally well. So much so that I will probably do a couple more clean ups maybe once before flip and once or twice in the early stages of flower. Each plant is already expressing the own unique smell and I can't wait for the flower power to push through. I will probably flip within the next week or two at the most. I recently got a grow tent and on sunday afternoon I moved one of my plants from outside into my grow tent. The plant used to be in soil. I carefully washed off the soil and placed it in a 20L kratky system.I have 4 x 50watt full spectrum elcheapo lights running on a 18/6 schedule. Since sunday the plant deteriorated, not sure what's wrong. Seeing everything is a new setup, problem can be all over the place. Plant seems wilted and some leaves are yellow and and hard to pluck , they dont come off easily so it does not seem like the usual shedding. any advice?1 point

looking good man! are you ready for your next selection of plants?1 point

@Naughty.Psychonaut I agree with you there and have also noticed that trance is split into many sub-genres or whatever you want to call them and people can get rather fussy with what is being played. However some people and events do not care and it is changes as the DJ changes. lol Tech and Techno, didn't get them mixed up. You used both though. I feel the genres and sub-genres exist to help people make mention of a specific type of music. If we classified all electronic music under Techno or all Trance music just under Trance then it becomes a bit of a shit show. Talking to people about music and you're both talking about totally different genres, like one talking about some house music and the other hardstyle. lol Minimal can be cool too and is rather close to techno. It generally is a slower music, like house. Techno, minimal and even house at times can be rather repetitive however I think that is what most enjoy about it and techno in particular can have a driving beat to it and it makes it easier to dance to. I find some of the mixes you posted a bit too repetitive for me, skip through it and it does change a bit but overall is a lot of the same. There are aspects of it which I do still enjoy and I could jam to it for a bit but I would struggle to do so for an extended period of time. One of the best parts about music is that it varies and there is likely something out there for everyone to enjoy. There is a lot of music out there which I do not enjoy, it is just too slow or boring but its really popular shit and others enjoy it a lot.1 point

I did post this before, But I wasn't happy with the PDF option, so I had capture the page. As I said a while ago, I've got my Soil Test to share, this test is on the soil that is amended along the lines of the soil recipe. Its a diverse mix but has also depleted itself of good/basic structure over the time, will be introducing some aeration of sorts. I would definitely recommend Kaya farms for the soil testing options, I waited about a month or so as there were hiccups, but I gotta commend them on their feedback and time taken to explain the issues, I have a couple things that need to be addressed, but overall quite happy with the results. This was after a re-amend. There is stats on the paste test and the extract test. Some issues I need to look at. - Soluble salts are quite high for after a harvest which he mentioned, but I did say this was after a re-amend, between 1000 - 1500 is fine. - Sodium and chloride need to be leached from the soil. - Phosphorus is not high enough on the paste test, although the extract test says abundance, can be taken with a pinch of salt and not add anymore Phos. - Calcium can be higher - Base cations magnesium and potassium too high, this might be because I add too much worm casting in my original mix - Exchangeable hydrogen very low (have not added aeration in a while or always in the least amount). - Also a small amount of extra nitrogen can be added as well. - Trace elements needing to be brought into balance. Iron, manganese and copper ... he suggested using sulfates to bring these levels up. I am still deciding. The argument is not about keeping it full organic, which it would be if these forms of trace elements are used and a test can provide proof of low levels. Because in actual fact, the main production proof of the most robust systems would be - in a field or greenhouse or living soil, the Co2 loss from the ground because overall its a more intricately connected system. Which the plants breathe in and that births higher productivity. So in essence, the more the plant can photosynthesize, via filling gaps in the chain, this being micro nutrients, the more exudates are pumped out stimulating more microbial growth. At the moment plants are in this soil, so I will not be adding any of these yet. I will be doing a test soon on the big bed and see where those levels are.1 point

Cool. Everything from bottom net upwards I'll be leaving. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk1 point

i like to keep whats between the top net and the bottom net - or a max of 30cm from the top - anything lower than 30cm from the top gets shaved off. then i let flip to flower and at week 3 i clean up again, but not so much1 point

Status update time. Strawberry Deluxe still in a hurry, both popped up the next day, no sign of harm from mishandling the 2nd. Yay! They spent another morning on the kitchen counter and have now found their way into Greenhouse V2 to continue their journey. The Strawberry Sugar cookies still hadn't popped in the towel after day 3, so went into baby pots and hope for the best. If they dont end up popping up I will elaborate on what I think I did wrong with them. But for now fingers crossed they will pop up shortly. The Regs are mostly up. 5 out of 6 up and running so far and should go outside tomorrow perhaps. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk1 point

Hi Prom, I use TA tri part, Soft water version. Freedom Farms F1. Autopot with air dome. 24/0 light in 1,5m x 1,5m tent. 720w Full spectrum Plus far red. CO2 in sealed room. This is one of 8 plants, the others are ok. This plant only has a few leaves showing this. The affected leaves are in the upper half of the plant. Current NER is for “Growing” and I’ve just today switched to “Pre-flower”. I have found in the past I add 1g CalMag / 10l (which is a maintenance amount) to every nutrient mix. So I might typically mix 40l starting with Si, then it stands for an hour, then CalMag then TA then either Biodyne 401 or H2O2. My EC is always around 1.2 to 1.6. PH ranges between 5.7 and 6.0. My tap water has very low EC, like 1.0. I have heard that powerful LED lights can cause Cal deficiency when coupled with Coco. Not sure of the bro science behind this or the chain of events bringing this about.1 point

Been about 2 weeks since the last update. Things are coming along! Dinamed 1's buds have fattened up quite a bit. The plant is almost one solid bud now. You'll see in the very close up photo that some trichomes are starting to turn amber and the rest are cloudy. That particular bud is definitely more amber than the others though. The calyxes have swollen up and the pistols have mostly turned brown and retracted. I've started flushing her and plan to harvest within a few days. My only concern is that I maybe left the flush too late (started 5 days ago) and I'm not sure I want the buds to ripen much more given that it's a CBD only strain. Dinamed 2 is very weird. Hardly grew, and started flowering about 3 weeks after germination. All the while, the leaves have been weirdly curled since the start. At first I thought it was overwatering, then underwatering, then ph or low nitrogen. I've kinda given up and just accepted she's a weird one. The two cheese plants have each tripled or so in size since they first showed signs of flowering about a month ago (one week after Dinamed 1). They spent a long time stretching and now seem to be focusing on bud development (and smelling great already :). I removed a few of the big fan leaves - one every few days to minimise stress. I'm really hoping that these will be ready to harvest before xmas. Currently feeding bio-grow (about 0.5ml/l), bio-bloom (about 1.5ml/l) and topmax (about 0.75ml/l) with a little seagrow too. It's funny how as soon as I started feeding with topmax, the red clovers in the pot started getting huge.1 point

Hi Everyone, Totally new to the cannabis growing(don't even have green fingers for normal growing...) But who doesn't need a nice challenge in these times. Seeing as my outdoor growing is a little haphazard at best, i've just had the Highpro 80x80x160 grow tent delivered, 35wat LED grow light(thinking this is way to little?) ready to get it going. The first harvest is going straight into a beer brewing experiment. Have 1 seedling going in 1/3 perlite, 1/3 Vermiculite & 1/3 potting soil and a second going hydro, in rockwool and leca pellets... Cheers Smirre1 point

Good afternoon, I am a long time smoker who recently acquired a DynaVap M. I am currently scouring the internet for anything marijuana related in South Africa, but we seem to be lacking a bit in that department so here I am! Thought I had an account tho, as I remember a few years ago I got dr Green F and Monkeys details on a forum such as this I have some experience in the whole process of the plant (from germination to ash) Thank you for reading1 point
