  1. What I do: (first it's important to know the difference between the fan leaves that drive the overall growth, and the leaves at bud/future bud sites. (Usually very small or non-existant at the time of defoliation) [I snip with scissors or just pluck with fingernails (smaller leaves), at the base-ish part of the stem] I usually gradually strip the majority of the big, fat, fan leaves before/during pre-flower (first to go are the ones at the top, I may leave lower ones if they're not in the way, or impeding airflow, but lately they eventually are all removed). As the branches stretch during pre-flower/early flower, I constantly remove any fan leaves that are shading lower areas in a meaningful way. I prioritise airflow/light. I continue this general practise until they have finished stretching. Even then I continue to defoliate, in an even/uniform manner. Each day I'm looking for leaves that are creating little pockets of moisture/dead airflow/significant shade.

  2. That's a beast of a plant man well done. And some snazzy training.

  3. Probably should have spread the canopy apart earlier, but hey, I'm learning. I think a good scrog net is a better idea, but this unknown plant is SO strong. Must get some good genetics to grow. By working around their existing PCB electrical layout, I managed to create a design that spreads the light out far more evenly to the edges (reduced centre hotspot, and can be hung lower, minimising reflective losses). Final LED count up from 528 to 536pcs. New, more robust hinges and end caps. Driver can be mounted on the bars, or outside the tent with included extension cord. The rotating aluminium feet on the driver also help sink heat, and provide a stable, elevated mount for the top of the tent, or easy mounting on the wall. Now if only the global supply chain could return to some degree of normality.

  5. hahah yeah I get you, I remember starting out I would hear guys mentioning all kinds of terms that I didn't get! fuck I missed is just a whole lot less professional than sea of green or screen of green even, but not that anything weed related needs to be "professional" in the general sense of the word. I mean it does sound hip and cool, but just in the wrong way hahah

  6. Yeah, cannabis growers have alot of terms that relate specifically to weed, probably because they were stoned at the time lol I mean just look at the names of some of the strains 'Sea of green' is probably another term you won't find in general horticulture amongst others. 12. Looks like calcium, even though you adding it you could be locking it out, I'd suggest raising your ph to 6.1-6.2.

  13. Harvest day of Dinamed 1. Took a couple last portraits yesterday before harvesting at dawn this morning. It's not a lot of bud but I'm impressed considering how small she was. I've done a rough wet trim and placed the buds in the wedryer. Reckon I'll do another trim in a few days before curing.
