Day six of flower, reversing the back two plants to pollinate the front two. Hope this works5 points
-
Yeah I would be more than happy with a room full of plants yielding 85 per on average. I usually run around 44 plants per cycle. In my room they would probably yield less though, as you can not escape the maths of gram per watt. I'm guessing 65g per in my room, which I'm 100% happy with. I can't wait to run her for myself. I promise that as soon as we've chosen a winning pheno, there will be clones given away freely for promotional purposes.5 points

@Tribaldy damn thats a cool little pdf. Thank you kindly. I must agree I think it is some kind of Stem rot. I can't help but wonder if Gauteng's weather lately isn't playing a small role. This Sucks. I would honestly cry.5 points

Looks like rot. Starts from a wound or from inside the stems. It will spread quickly. Cut and remove infected branches if possible or Save what you can and cut your losses5 points

A number of weeks ago I chucked the pollen from the two males onto two branches of each female. The pollinated branches have become so heavy with seeds that they've started bending over sideways! I've since added some support to prevent the branches from breaking. Here's a pic of a seeded branch: Unfortunately the broader-leaf female has become over-fertilised, as can be seen from the "claw" leaf shape. I've since removed the top-dressing layer and flushed with water. Let's hope it doesn't get worse.5 points

LOL I hear you man!! I have only met one dealer who lived up to the expectation of what R250 weed is in the minds of most... the rest have shocked me with what goes for 150!! thank goodness we switched years a go to home grown5 points

Hey all Any of you that ride out to Haarties check out Bruhouse on the way, Hekpoort Rd R563 Hekpoort, Krugersdorp, 1790. Cold drinks, hot food and great service. Their cannabis club has some lekker members & a very reasonable annual fee, was R300 this year. They have a 5 ton Bulldog press members can use with arrangement, I used and loved it so ended up buying my own press from SA Rosin Press (dead chuffed).4 points

fuuuuuugg mate that's something you don't see everyday, though it's really something that can happen to the best of us! I've seen this with many other plants, first time for me seeing a big cannabis plant going through it. a good 6 times out of 10, I pop the plant out the pot and open up the roots to find some off smell or discolouration on the roots indicating fungal infection, if it's a fungus that need negatively affect the host in order for it to thrive we call it a parasite. it's hard to say if this happened because of poor root zone activity or mismanagement of root zone. only the grower himself will know if he over watered that plant, that could be the case. if he got poor dranage in the pot that might be the case, if you got anaerobic soil that'll create favourable conditions for any unwanted fungal spores to take host. the other 4 times out of 10 there is no signs at the roots, so we cut away the infected areas, but it never semed to work as the parasite has already entered the plant somwhere. sometimes it can even be through cut branches. it can even be through the leaves if there is a bunch of spores or particles present of some unwanted pathogen, if the condition is right they'll do their thing. I would say, try cut away infected areas, then get a systemic fungicide that gets taken up by the roots. be carefull not to over water, rather give less water over longer time so the medium doesn't ever stay wet for too long. long periods of excessive moisture will put him back in square 1.4 points

oh yeah, I have heard great things about WW all around, should be something interesting! bit of nostalgia my first indoor bud I ever smoked was WW. paid R75/g in 2009, I was used to paying between R10 - R20 for some ditchweed and being completely satisfied so just the price of this stuff blew my mind-hole. Needless to say, the first smoke made me forget the amount it cost. a few months passed and I wanted to treat myself again, same guy still with WW like some WW wave hit western cape, this time the bud was straight R100/g. naturally I was put off and decided not to do it as I was still in school at the time and it just seemed like a ridiculous amount to spend on weed. So I let the thought go. That same year for new years my friend and I where all set to have a good time and both still had some extra cash so we decided it's time... went to the weed guy.... R150/g now.... never seen such quick and drastic price fluctuations with weed, since then the prices have pretty much parked it at 150 average. range from R120 to R200. though we have all come across some lunatic trying to sell weed for R250/g they claim god himself grew with his own shit as fertilizer or something. to those guys we don't pay much attention though4 points

Fusarium occurs naturally in soil ( where all is in equilibrium, its kept under control naturally ) as it is part of the rhizosphere flora, but under certain circumstances it can become a serious problem. There seem to be some links between high Nitrogen ferts, overwatering and heatstress. Only a few suggested soil treatment methods exist, like solarization, peroxide sprays, fumigation and fungal treatments, all with varying degrees of efficacy and practicallity. Mostly its suggested to discard the soil (for potted grows) as the fungus can remain dormant in your soil for years, the success rates of the different treatment methods are debatable. To be safe, DO NOT compost any infected plant material or soil that hasn't been treated. There is a LOT of literature on the web, as its a serious issue in commercial farming around the world. Culled and burnt many trees last year, it was a sad situation. After a lot of research and consultation with other local growers, trichoderma was suggested as it consumes other fungus. My applications have been done to my soil and growbeds and so far only have one potted plant that seems to show symptoms. Will burn it tomorrow. Strongs.3 points
-
That is Fusarium sp. or Fusarium wilt. Soilbourne pathogenic fungus, enters the plant mostly via the roots, blocks the xylem channels and symtoms usually appear during flower. Do some googling, its a bad one to have and can spread easily. Cut and burn all affected plants, they will not recover. Been there done this. Soil can be treated with trichoderma beneficial fungus preparations. Ecobuzz rootpro seems to have worked for me.3 points

aaaaand a quick little update here aswell, for the ouense So here we have some new stuff. not all, just some. they all got potted up right before their photo was taken, into my mix of recycled FF and 30% wormcastings, watered in with 0.5ml/L of biobizz grow as they look a little hungry new stuff - Super Cheeze by Positronics and French Macaron by THSeeds regrow - Sugarcane Deluxe cutting from forum member , Frosted Apricot by Inhouse Genetics and Blueberry Hashplant by Bodhi Seeds I am going to be cooking that same recycled FF with some of Jamies elemental blend for the first time! He is cooking up a batch he sais so by next week I'll get to mixing and watering it in throug a big 100L pot I have, I'll let these plants become rootbound before thinking of using that soil. will also be doing runoff ppm tests. till the numbers look right. got about 14/15 maybe even 16 weeks till flower tent is ready so that's more that enough time3 points

Had an itch to start documenting, sharing and learning again. So I'm dusting off the rust and getting back in the grow diary saddle. Haven't really done this kinda thing since the weed.co.za and BTL days. Expect blunt opinions, a bit of pollen chucking and lank dank:) Am running a small outdoor greenhouse. Shaded sides and greenhouse plastic top around slightly raised organic beds. All plants are started in Freedom Farms Classic. Sprouted in trays, transplanted to 1lt bags then to beds. I've always xmas treed outdoor plants but am trying SCROG for the first time. Hoping this will improve quality and consistency. Yield is not a top priority. Would rather have a 3 jars of gas than 1 of jar gas with 5 jars of popcorn. Clones were were vegged inside for a month+ and then put outside in mid December. Been stretching and are in early flower. First trichomes are around the corner. Clones are Terple, Frosted Apricots, Tart Pops, GG4. Seeds were planted in mid December. The goal if for them to push veg and flower a bit later than usual. Trying to avoid the late summer rains and bud rot. A pinch more colour from the lower Autumn temps wouldn't hurt. Seedlings are Banizzle, Blue Dreamsicle, Totomi, Purpsicle and Jungle Juice. First prize is a hip to chest height layer of buds. Maintaining tall plants and broken branches sucks. A lower canopy is gonna do wonders for my back and let me really savor watching the grass grow. Also doing a seed run. Not gonna claim to be a breeder or anything like that. Simply pollen chucking a dank stud on bunch of my favourite cuts. It's dope to have grown enough cultivars to know what I like and enjoy working with. Refining my preferred genetics and pheno hunting is a new adventure. More on that later. Here's a video of where things are at today. The little greenhouse of mostly In-House Genetics.2 points

85g dry for a plant in a 10L plastic pot is not terrible either though (No 12). Will await the final smoke report, although am keen to get a cut of No 12 when possible2 points

lol can you imagine buying a g for 150 then you smoke 2 small joints and klaar that's some bullshit if I ever came across any!! growing really does spoil a person hahahaha yeah I also thought the guy to be a noob, but his business is actually booming right now because of him. I got to know the guy in 2002, I was very very young, but I knew what the people where doing there. FFW to 2007/8 I knew where to go to find weed without having to deal with dodgy inner city characters. coincidently found the same guy after going to the same area a couple times. brought up something I remembered from when I was there in 2002, he remembered me and the people who I was there with struck up a really good connection with this Rasta. I became a peice of furnature in their house, going there to spend hours sitting and smoking and once had a snoek supper with the King and his family, felt super out of place but also very very welcoming! Turns out his family have been surviving for the past 3 generations off just selling weed. in 2012 he bough the first car ever owned by his family, pretty big deal for them at the time. now the dude has people driving cars doing deliveries for him. he has a couple taxis and he started a gardening and landscaping service on his own. the guy is pomping the $$$ these days. exactly why not to buy weed in CPT CBD. you'll be coughing up blood hearing those prices.... r200 for half a gram of poo you in blaauwberg? you must have really good network there bud, because I can easily find a 150/g bud there in your area. like real easy. if you're a grower it's another thing, because between me and my close friends we just give eachother weed. there is no way in hell someone, not even a strict dealer, will get me to pay even close to 150/g, because of the fact that I grow myself. It's harder to lie to someone about the value of something if they deal with it themself. but to say that people don't ask 150/g anymore is not accurate. you know about Natures Farmacy? they cater to the general public. anything below 150 is not worth time or money. most dealers ask most people around 150. it's just you that got the right stuff and right people around you to be lucky enough to get top shelf for that low price. and I am assuming it's top shelf because who still talks about mids? it's a network peronalised to you, not to the whole structure of cannabis selling. which is technically illegal still, so without any regulations you can't really say what the price "must" and "must not" be.2 points
-
I am OAF now & have few contacts... when I look for top shelf I'm quoted 150 and up. It's an easier game when you are a student/waiter, once you go corporate & try hide this shit your contacts dry up real fast.2 points

150... who would today still pay 150 for a gram? Prices in my area for indoor hover around 65-80 rand a gram. Not sure will still be like that after April when Eskom goes 20.5% up in price again. 250 you can ask for a 75 micron indoor hash.. ^^ 150 will for sure cover your cost when you run a small tent to grow your own weed. 65 and not that sure anymore, could be a even game.. depending with what quality material you work with. Funny that somewhere prices went up the last 2 years... should have fallen rather then raise.. loads of people lost the fear to grow at home. ^^2 points

that seems to be the general consensus... small nugs, underwhelming yeild. but my fuck is it frosty and the terps are mind melting!! it really is a tough decision to drop it from the garden... subsequent crosses with the plat punch seem to bring the frost through as well as larger nugs, so keep an eye out for Plat punch crosses as they are generally fire2 points

Hey friends just a quick update here, the Sour Lemon OG and Banana Hammock got the chop! they have been hanging for about 6 days. the smell of the Sour Lemon OG is just crazy. kinda like cat piss but in a very good way Sour Lemon OG Banana Hammock I took the time to empty the tent completely, did a whole deeep clean with peroxide, had the vacuum in there, took all the fans apart and blew all the motors clean of dust and wiped the rest of the fan with warm soapy water, after everything was clean I put all the equipment back in the tent except for the light, sprayed peroxide and put all the fans on aswell as the inline fan without any cover on to get some of that peroxide in the ducts aswell. closed the tent up for 30min, did a quick wipe down again and loaded the next batch. here they are Got here 3 x Deluxe Sugarcane, 1 x Blueberry Hashplant, 1 x Frosted Apricot happy growing!2 points

These ladies got their veg on nicely. Could probably hear them growing...haha. Cleaned up under the skirts and removed the bottom 2 nodes.(got some big clones) Topdressed with Guano pellets and a sprinkling of bonemeal. Noticed some preflower action happening here and there, so the game is afoot. Need to do a follow up biogrow inseticide spray, but the weather looks like rain. Luckily haven't had any serious pest issues yet, but ipm is ipm.2 points

Hi everyone, I am new here, and I am hoping this is the right place to post this... I ordered from the SACF website two weeks ago. Since then, I have received zero communication from there re: my order and they do not answer messages/calls/emails. Are they an honest operation, or have I been scammed and can kiss my money goodbye? Anyone had experience with them? Which is the best seed bank in SA currently? Much appreciated, and happy growing - I hope to learn a lot from all the maestros on here! GDD1 point

Morning folks, I need help from some of our outdoor growers please. I have a buddy that's busy with an outdoor run but something funky is happening to the plants. I have never seen the specific symptoms he is having and not sure whether it has to do with the crazy humid and rainy weather we are having in Gauteng.. is it mold? Or is it something different? Buds don't seem to be directly affected but the stems are... he is now systematically losing all his outdoor ladies to this shit.. any advise or input will be appreciated. Pics:1 point

I'll happily pay for a clone to be included, I'm in the outdoor game. A mate gifted me a baseball sized nug of Pineapple when I was a laaightie, it blew my socks off and I've been searching since.1 point

It regulates itself by demand and offer. ^^ I know a grow shop forking good weed for 65 a gram. They even had visit from the cops.. but they only checked if they have Tik or shit like that. They completely ignored the weed in the shop and was over a kg at the time of the visit. My personal guess is that law wise you can act like the draft from 2019 got implemented and the new draft is to go 100% legal. They were forced to implement by 2020, they failed to match the deadline.. what does mean it is legal by terms of the court... they said must be implemented in 2020.. so now.. cops don't even seem to bother anymore. What is relaxing ^^ 65-80R a gram... that is a bit the range down here.. and if you pay more.. then I would suggest to put up a little tent and grow your own weed. Not even your landlord can prevent you from doing so.. you have the right by law to grow your own weed. And not letting someone doing so is actually limiting their right as citizen.. and you can sue them... ^^ the world starts to walk the right path again If you get charged 150... look for a new source.. is my suggestion. Not everybody is as greedy as the person next to you1 point

Hi folks Currently day 52 of flower and now I totally understand why people run carbon filters. I don't have one and our whole house smells like a terp fueled garden I have started adding some Biobizz Top Max to see if we can increase the bud size but overall I am content and happy with how they are already. The SSH is quite unique in its tricome development. It really glistens like diamonds and aren't as tightly spaced like the rest of the ladies, I am excited to see how she will progress. I will start monitoring the tricome development on the ladies to see how close we are to the chop. The lone clone is also doing its revegging thing outside White Bubblegum White Afghan Skunk Purple Dosidos Sunset Sherbet Blunicorn Jelly Breath Super Silver Haze 98 OSG Cheese Tent side view Lone Clone1 point

Not much to report on, everything running along smoothe! All 3 the DS plants got about half of the plant chopped back, made a few extra clones. I was told she's stretchy, she was alsmost touching the lights! One of the DS plants is in a 20L pot and is considerably smaller than the rest, the others all in 30L. Seems the FA is going to be the smallest plant, so she gets the middle spot. The tent is about ready will be moving over into flower tent in the next 2 weeks, will be using trellis net to make the canopy more even. Just finishing up in there.1 point

You can also sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth over your soil as an extra preventative to keep the pests at bay1 point
