  1. I took a cheeky sample of the last batch so I went ahead and did a weigh-in. Coming in strong at 136g ZxP. I think I can get it to 200g per batch (6 plants).

  4. Largest Dirty Banana in the room. The photo makes it look thinner for some reason. It is noticeably fatter IRL. That cola is easily 40 to 45cm in length and thicker than a coke can. It is interesting to note that this plant is not as mature as the other DB's in the room, even though it is from the same mother.

  6. Fun fact, if you run a commercial cannabis farm in Australia, nobody in the entire company, including the janitors or even cultivators, are allowed to consume any cannabis whatsoever.

  7. Yeah, we've got lank rigs and don't mind helping folk with adjusting a few things on them. Like bangers and caps. Praxis does amazing art glass that is super functional. A bit more budget required though. Whether you buy for us or praxis you will be very happy.

  8. Thank you for such a positive upbeat message. I was floored when that remark was made. Something deep down made me so sad that a 420 person could be so nasty and spiteful. I shall rise to the occasion and keep trekking on.

  9. My condolences for your loss, it truly doesn't matter if you don't smoke the flower. I think growing cannabis is mainly what this forum is for.

  10. Great debate guys, some interesting takes on the subject. I grow Auto’s in Autopots. All the plants (between 2 and 9 depending) get the same feed because of the common reservoir. This can be tricky when I have a mixture of Auto’s which I usually do (3 of the same seeds 3 times = 9 per grow). A harvest for me takes over a week. I have limited time with my grow so can’t get it done faster. So I have to keep feeding because it might be 8 or 9 days from first to last. Not as bad as it sounds since some mature faster, they come down first. I sometimes do partial harvests meaning I remove all the top bud and will leave the smaller, larf / popcorn for another week to get good light. Anyway to cut to the chase, it’s out of necessity rather than preference that I no longer attempt a final flush (I mean an only-water for 1 or 2 weeks flush). Instead I feed with TA Final Part, which is a ripening agent devoid of any Nitrogen. There is mention above that the plant suddenly start drinking less, much less, towards the end. This is very obvious in the Autopot res which isn’t drain to waste, so the plants only pull what they need. And since they are consuming much less, they naturally “starve” themselves as I assume they do in nature. It follows on then that even if I have a high concentration of nutes (5ml per litre), the fact that LESS of it is going into the plant must equate to a lowering of Nute strength over time. This then might suggest that perhaps those who hand water might inadvertently be over feeding plants in their later stage of life. Anyway, I have discovered that the whole smooth vs harsh thing boils down to your drying process, and the taste boils down to your curing process. I got paranoid I was over drying and cut it a bit short. Some of that bud was harsh. The (almost over dried) bud from the next harvest was silky smooth, burned white ash in spite of having no flush, no period of darkness. They did however have lower temps towards the end. There is a school of thought now that flushing may improve taste, not because of leaching out excess nutes, but because of the shock presented to the plant which can trigger more terpene production….

  12. Good Morning All, I am a passionate organic grower. I have been accused of not understanding my plants as I don't smoke weed. My passion for cannabis's goes far deeper than just getting stoned. My husband died of cancer but sadly we put him on cannabis's oils rather late in his cancer treatment. Stage 4 had already set in. I love what the plant can do for those who get sick. I was wondering what is the view point amongst other growers who do smoke their lovely grows if they look down at those of us who don't smoke their own flowers. Thank you and have a lovely grow day. The rain is now getting me down. My poor ladies are battling with bud rot and to destroy them breaks my heart but I have to.

  14. Sweet and fruity with hints of Skittles sweets, and very loud. Not earthy or spicy at all. A couple grams left in a bakkie on a warm day will make that bakkie smell like a dispensary. After a cure it is a very smooth smoke.

  15. Hey @Valda sorry to hear that, my condolences to you and who ever had to deal with that terrible loss with you. and some more condolences for the loss of those cannabis plants you got on their way out there keep up the hopes and positivity and it'll only get better with time the question you aksed - nah it doesn't matter, it might matter to the people who are making the remarks, but it shouldn't matter to you. even if you harvest the best of the best every few days and smoke your whole harvest yourself there will still be people trying to beat you down for what you doing. haters gona hate, don't pay no mind to them!

  17. Normally when you think that she's ready for harvest, give her another week. If you really can't wait any longer and risk causing damage by moving her in and out, remove the fan leaves and let her sit for a day or two. No water. No need to carry her outside. Then harvest.

  18. I'll defiantly make a note to start a diary when I pop these I'm not going to be growing it for smoke though, going to try continue the line as I've always dreamed of having some gear from Bodhi in my collection, might cross it with some of the other stuff I've picked up as well

  19. I have for countering loadshedding purposes gone down this rabbit hole, and ultimately decided it would be too costly to keep my setup running for even those 2 hours using an inverter and 2 x 100ah deep cycle batteries. The problem isn't keeping the lights on, as Led lights dont draw that much current. It's the fans(anything with a motor) that draws power out of batteries Hella fast. So while the sun is out and blasting you should possibly be able to keep the environment running, but after dark you will need the grid to keep it going

  22. You don't need to smoke in order to be able to grow. However not smoking / sampling your own plants can leave you a bit in the dark when it comes to how smooth the smoke it, taste, effects, potency - this can easily be resolved by sending the bud in to be tested and/or having someone who can assist and sample for you and give you feedback. I have grown a few autoflowers, I can tell you first hand that the potency has always been lower with the autoflowers compared to the photoperiods I have grown. Had I not sampled them myself, I wouldn't have known. With that being said, I know of people who grow but do not smoke themselves... They get by fine as others sample for them or they grown clones of known plants which others grow.

  23. @CreX Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words. @Ill_Evan Thanks man I agree on the strips. Terrible for growing, but works very well on the rooting. I had these little 12v led bars but the wires eventually broke because we would have to move them everday when opening the dome. Over time your start understanding what works best in your unique situation.

  24. Greetings, At some point I will try growing indoors but first will install solar to the house. I am well-known for doing things ass about face sometimes and have just purchased a Solar system. 5kw Inverter, 2.2kw Panel Capacity and 5kwh Lithium Battery. I hope to run a grow inside a 2.4mtrx1.2mtr tent. Do you think I will have enough power to run LED lights, extractor fan etc for probably 10 hrs at least? If your doing an 18hr on and 6 off grow and getting approx +/- 9 hrs sunlight (Winter grow) , that means I will need to run lights etc for at least 11hrs. Will the 5k lithium battery handle this?. Cheers....

  26. LST begins. I really love the process, except when I snap bits off. But I look at it like self-control training. And if you're wondering, that's packing tape wrapped in reverse so the sticky side is on the outside. Found a really sticky one recently. Gnats-b-gone.

  27. Hi to all. My plant has been yellowing and dropping leaves. I promise you the next neigborhood can smell her. The buds are huge and starting to become a hassle as i carry the indoor and outdoor to manipulate the light schedule(in capetown sun from 5am till 10pm). She is leaning over and her pot is filled with roots i am unable to stake her anyfurther without damage. I would love to get her in a jar, any thoughts or is it not worth it and i should just bear with it? Thanx

  28. Yo guys. Update plant has been yellowing drastically and have dropped leaves i am ready to harvest would like some opinions now? Buds are huge and is taking all my effort to keep them up as i move from indoor to outdoor for ligh schedules. She filled her pot and no more space for roots or anything for support.

  34. what's up @Weskush You talking about a clone dome there? I am not sure man, it might work, but the air is very stagnant in there. might just get like one or two shroomies off a flush for fruiting conditions you're working within a band of 85 to 95%RH with an almost constant fresh air exchange. what gets your mycelium to push fruits is the evaporation of small water droplets off the surface of your substrate. so idealy if you can constantly have fresh new tiny tiny tiny like ultrasonic mist water particles land on your substrate and have it evaporate off every couple minutes, the quicker you'll see mushroom pins. so the fresh air exchange is more important than the high RH. if you gona have stagnant air and the mycelium used up all the oxygen (yes, mushrooms breathe like humans. oxygen in carbon dioxide out) there will be high levels of co2 chocking out your mycelium and if, only if it fruirs it'll make loooong thin fruits with small caps. this is why a shotgun fruiting chamber will work best, just remember to fan, mist, fan - in that order. as many times a day as you can. open tote, fan old co2 out, mist lightly and fan again to get the new water droplets to start evapotating, next time you walk past the tote do it again. 5 times a day if you can. I have gotten very few clean LC syringes through the web, but there is a way to get them clean on agar. once you got clean culture on agar you can make unlimited agar plates and your own master LC then to grain spawn and from there you basically golden. you'll be able to do trays for days. hell if you can sterilise a shoe you can grow them out of a shoe. the PF tek does have a little bad rep, but it does work for sure and it's a good way to get off the ground with all this myco stuff! excited to see how your project takes off bud

  35. I got a really really awesome one from The High Co @THCSA I am sure you have seen them sponsor quite a few comps on the forum as well. https://thehighco.co.za There might even be more options available which are not loaded on the website, reach out to them. You won't be disappointed. I would suggest getting a rig where the banger sits flat and not at an angle (so a straight stem).

  36. Noticed a creeping issue in the flower tent. Usually after I transplant there is a slight fade just as the roots catch up, and after about a week the plant should bounce back strong and green. This has been exactly the case with the ZxP, but the Gorilla Zkittlez is due for the bounce back but seems to be fading further. I have given another top feed even though the reservoir has been on for a few days, I think the roots may be just slightly behind. Depending on how fast the reservoir drains I might top feed once more in a week. ZxP Gorilla Zkittlez

  40. I am busy harvesting the ripe ZxP that have been ripening up for the last week where I have also cut off the water supply for the last 7 days. The buds are looking real good. I am about half way through the chop and I am on a break. Here are a few pics of the preharvest:

  41. Ey my badYoutube or Die @PsyCLown apologies for diverting from the subject. Feel free to clear up. With plants that size, the scale of things change dramatically. For instance, instead of looking for thrips, i look for moths and beetles Also to mention that i find these big outdoor plants much more resilient/forgiving than a smaller indoor type strain. Hand watering is a fucken bitch though, which takes me at least a hour for each watering and that is every 2nd or 3rd day, depending on temps. Not even to mention the harvest. I used to get naar after spending 6+ hours trimming buds But in the end, all the hard work is more than worth it. I personally find immense satisfaction in seeing a tiny seedling grow into a monster tree. It all comes with the territory
