Not much to update here on week 10, been a slow 2 weeks, but cant blame the plants, its been hot and yucky lately. The Ginger tea is finishing up nicely, might get the chop sooner and SSC slower behind, but is a huge plant and is still maintaining good health, so I don't have a reason to cut her yet. Will probably let them go another week or 2

Hi all Found the forum as I am looking to start growing my self. I have been using extracts and edibles for a while to help with stress, anger and anxiety. Not to big a fan of getting too baked and mostly like it for the medicinal properties. Hope to have a awesome time on the forum and learn as much as I can. Regards Dread

Walking/hiking in the Dlinza forest. The aerial boardwalk and lookout is something to experience. The trails have park benches every few 100m's for the unfit folk. We would just sit and enjoy the peace while having a puff. It was brilliant.

Not the best place but the most memorable was one year on our way to KKNK. We drove the R62 route and stopped there by that tiny tunnel, next to the river and the mountains. Cant really remember what that place is called but theres some type of old fort up there so we decided to walk to the top to smoke a fatty.. Now this was still in our infant smoking years so a little went a long way. We got to the top, lit the joint and just enjoyed it. We realised, after the entire joint was done, that theres no way we would make it down again without us looking like a landslide down the mountain so we just sat there for hours talking shit and looking out at the beautiful scenery, laughing our heads off obviously.

looking at the photos from September2021 these grafts really took off in the last couple months! thought I would show their progression. grafting cacti is really the way to go for faster growth Here is one of the bigger lophophora x pachanoi, she pushed her very first flower recently and she does not stop making new pups! Here's one of my mothers, got loads of seeds off her over the years, she got a couple fruits full of seeds sitting on top (the messy dried up parts in the middle)

I had a look now on B&B and it turns out the "PF classic" is actually a strain, that was named after the pf tek, that was made famous by the same man who named it. I learn something new every day I know when I look up Psilocybe species nothing of the sorts comes up, no mention of PF classic as a species of psilocybe. If you wana know everything there is to know about any psilocybin containing mushrooms, even the few of those outside of the psilocybe genus group, check out Allan Rockefeller. So the thread @Chris Jay started recently got me thinking... I thought it might be cool for members to share some of their memorable experiences they have had on weed. I have more of these than cool places I have smoked at. Don't have time to type my story out now, however will post it once I get a chance - others are welcome to post theirs in the meantime.

Most of my most memorable moment have come when smoking with friends. Just laughing and them asking me what drugs did you spike the weed with.

Nice run. I do also have a running problem. I love trail running and climbing mountains for fun. I do not run goofed though. I like to smoke afterwards. It’s my recovery substance.

Just smoked a damn good joint from a local homegrower, received while making a new reggae video. So some things have happened recently, epic things, and there is a big possibly I might be going to the USA in August for the NY State Fair, being the promoter of a local reggae band. Dont want to say too much yet but working like a dog. Was looking into the all the details, where, when and got side tracked, after seeing a video of a club, The Roof Gardens, I worked for in london around 1997, I saw this. Did not not realise how blessed I was to be able to smoke in these gardens day and night. Learnt to smoke hash around the same time to. The gardens were unreal, exactly like this in the video, mostly always. It did snow a couple times while I was there, had a jol. So where is your favourite place you have smoked?

The deficiency on all the Gorilla Zkittlez seems to have resolved. The whole tent is looking pretty good at the moment. We are in week 3 of flowering. Gorilla Zkittlez Zkittlez x Purple Punch ..and now, some bud pics for @John Stonedwell these are from the previous ZxP harvest, cured now two weeks.

Must say we were quite critical on the strains that were prepared for our meander, for the exact reason you mentioned. Rather avoid the heavy indica's in this situation, sativa was our choice toke. Mr Dank's Vanilla Kush made for a very memorable experience.

Shot for all the info. Yes i am aware that PF Tek is the method and the spore syringe strain was PF Classic. Was recommended to use this strain in conjunction with PF Tek method. Hopefully B&B will sort me out otherwise i will try Myshrooms, which are the supplier. Let's see. Will keep updated

They lable them as spore syringes, but they're actually liquid culture syringes. That's because the already germinated spores and culture form of the mushroom awell as the mushroom itself is all illegal, so they have to say they're spores. I had to dig up an old email from 2020, discussing this with Dave from MyShrooms, he confirms it. here is my email to him here's the reply but no stress, it's actually better that way. if you still have a few drops of culture I could possibly still save you

Damn dude, hiking on weed. You smoking the wrong strain, although I can say I was lights out under a tree around lunchtime once. We used to wake up, put the fire on, wake and bake and then pull out the coffee, a shot of canna tequila in the coffee and bob is your auntie, walk kilo's and also thinking about it more memorable experiences. So this specific trip I am talking about was up near that magalies place, name I forget, we had had our shot of tequila walking and bump into a dread lock rasta and his wife. We chat, laugh and end up near a stream smoking a spliff, in a small cave. Beautiful setting. So swop numbers, meet at his place just outside JHB for a fire and play music a few weeks later. Around that fire I meet Bushy Williams for the first time, so must be over 17 years ago. Further to that, Bushy is currently staying with me, the day he arrived, last week Monday morning I get a video chat call from the same dread lock rasta, his name is Lion Silver Dread aka Mazola, who introduced us. We had not spoken in over 10 years on the phone or even done a video call and neither had Bushy. Life works in strange ways.

did you get it from b&b? damn... no instructions is poor, this takes some know-how. you inject only the injection port, yes. but the fact that it only has one injection port is also very poorly done.

Hmm, mine are a bit boring. Best place is on my couch, with Netflix and loads of snacks... Otherwise braai with friends is good too. Smoking while on a hike, I tried it but just made me a little lazy but chilled at the same time. Nothing which really stood out though, not as cool as some other members here.

Greetings. I'm in the process of installing solar to my house. A previous thread explained my concern over how much power a small growroom tent would require. I have since doubled my existing output and now feel confident to run a small setup. Ive had to compromise but will have approximately 5Kw allowance for my grow. So here's the thing. I need a list of equipment for a 2.4x1.2 tent. All equipment needs to draw +/- 500W combined. (Ballpark). LEDs , fans etc and anything else you can think of. 1Mtr tent is just too small so I'll try a 2.4Mtr one. I was hoping for maybe 3 plants in 20ltr pots????. I need to keep things as simple as possible. I'm sure there are hundreds of different ways to grow!. My first indoor grow so I would like 'simplicity' if possible. Thanks in advance......

Any runners on here, not that I take it seriously but always run like Forest my whole life, especially in the bush. Just started doing a regular run at the local parkrun, I like to call the potrun. So got my first results Monday and thought lets see from here, lank happy with my time, 27.06 for 5km on a damn hot day. Not going to try and do much better, just maintain. Going through the results, I was like whaaaaaat. Got to meet this runner. Nice name, creative and a laugh.

Many moons ago...did the UK working holiday thing with my two brothers, we've always been best mates. Got introduced to hashish, had it every which way you could imagine, from straight joints to hot knives to japanese fontains and then this crazy aussie oke produces this frozen carved rock pipe from the deepfreeze. Later found out its called a chillum. Better be right with your stuff if you want puff on that thing. We traveled and worjed all over. Harvested hops in Canterbury, met up with some awesome ppl from canada, aus, poland and rsa, we were a lekker group. Did a lot of funky stuff together. Ever seen 8 peeps hotboxing a two man tent.... 20years later we still laugh at that one. Most brilliant time spent with awesome individuals. Remember parking on the hill in Edinburgh waiting for Elton John to open at the Edinburgh castle. We munched some bread with cheese and drank wine for dinner, after there was a friss cone going round before we went in. Music was beyond anything.... It was an epic, crazy ass time with some of my best memories.

You could easily do 4 plants in 20l pots in just 1m2. This will also keep you in your target wattage Just the lighting needed for 2.4x1.2 is already practically 1kw(4 x 240w) then at least 200-300w for all your ventilation needs.

Nice tiger stripes on the seeds! Youl see its the ability to pull your males at this size under any photoperiod that makes autos win in my book. All of these were my underdeveloped or really ugly seeds so I didnt mind starting hundreds and keeping the best for breeding or for future outdoor seasons. Pulled 14 males yesterday and should have all the dudes out in the next 10 days. Cant wait to see updates on your grow.

PF tek means Psilocybe Fanaticus technique, it's not a strain, it refers to the technique a person uses to grow psilocyin containing mushrooms. usually talking bout the old school method of using brown rice flour and vermiculite as a substrate and making "cakes" also known as BRF cakes. this is what you where doing, but the strain of mushroom you grew must have been given to you at some point during the exchange, usually psilocybe cubensis.

oh man, sorry brother, this one goes to the bin all this is thrichoderma, good for soil. but don't even open it in your sterile area and don't touch it directly. those plastic tubs are cheap, throw the whole thing away. if it was a glass jar I would tell you how to dispose of it, but even then you would wana be carefull. trichoderma is very agressive and spreads it's spores very easily, it's the biggest threat to any mycology work. where did you get the syringe from? you got more culture in there? what strain of psilocybe is it? it's brf then the top 1/2cm is just vermiculite. this usually helps with contamination, but in this case I think the LC itself was contaminated

@Naughty.Psychonaut do i only inject in the self healing injection port on the side and leave the middle breather strip as is? Kit came with no instructions. Emailed b&b and hopefully they can advise. Otherwise i'll keep trying until i get it right.

Found this really cool report testing CBD against Covid-19 both in vitro trials as well as a small number of patient trials both of which has showed a reduction in infection and replication rates. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7987002/ found this paragraph very interesting: “Given that CBD preparations containing substantial amounts of CBD are taken by a large number of individuals, we examined whether CBD exposure might correlate to a decreased risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Analysis of over 93,000 patients tested for SARS-CoV-2 at the University of Chicago Medical Center showed that 10.0% tested positive overall, but only 5.7% of the ~400 who had any cannabinoid in their medical record tested positive (Fig. 6). Patients taking CBD versus other cannabinoids had an even lower rate of testing positive (1.2% in 85 CBD patients versus 7.1% in 113 patients taking other cannabinoids, p=0.08). This finding that patients taking other cannabinoids had less protection against viral infection is consistent with our cell culture studies. Since multiple potential confounding factors could explain these findings, including age, race, clinical morbidities, and sex, we matched 82 patients who were prescribed oral, FDA-approved CBD (Epidiolex®) before COVID-19 testing to patients who had no indication of taking any cannabinoids but had comparable other characteristics including similar demographic characteristics, clinical comorbidities, and records of other medications in the two years before COVID-19 testing (table S1). Of the patients prescribed oral CBD before their COVID-19 test, the most common morbidity categories were hypertension and conditions with immunosuppression. Strikingly, only 1.2% of the patients prescribed CBD contracted SARS-CoV-2 whereas 12.2% of the matched, non-cannabinoid patients tested positive (p=0.009), suggesting a potential reduction in SARS-CoV-2 infection risk of approximately an order of magnitude.”
