  1. Hi folks. So the weather has been helping me out to get a very decent slow dry on the plants and keeping the temps nice and low. 6 of the 8 ladies came down on day 67 of flower. Those were the white bubblegum, white afghan skunk, purple dosidos, blunicorn, jelly breath, osg cheese. These have been drying for 7 days now.. The sunset sherbet came down on day 70 and SSH will come down tomorrow on day 75. I am already very excited for the next run which will feature a couple more OSG strains, I wil share the names a bit later. Here are some drying pics as well as a last shot of the SSH before she comes down. Hanging around Super Silver Haze 98

  2. The KmintZ are looking powerful. Shouldn't be too long now before I put them into the flower tent. I am keeping the majority of the lower branches for now in preparation to take clones to line them up for the next one.

  3. Braai time again So this little one is about 7weeks old. Sun and hot winds nailing this little tough one. Stem the thickness of a decent King Size Slim joint and strong as a nail. Still the ants doing their thing and water. Took a cutting and cooked the poor things two days later when I forgot it outside while doing something. I see two possible candidates volunteering to become clones. I'll decide after the braai.

  4. Thanks 420 for setting up a new forum category for this specific method of plant irrigation. For those who don’t know, the Autopot system uses gravity to get water or nutrient mix to the bottom-feed Autopot tray from a central reservoir. Through wicking, the water creeps up the expanded clay substrate and into the coco or soil. Each plant uses just what it needs, and the more a plant drinks, the more frequently the Aqua Valve allows new water in. If you want to learn more about the aqua valve, go to the Autopot website. The four main advantages of the system is that it is self-watering, the reservoir allows you to take a long weekend here and there, there is very little waste and finally there is no risk of overwatering, there is almost no wasted nutrients since there is no water till runoff. Not relying on water pumps is also a reassuring place to be. The system also comes with its own set of challenges of course, which hopefully we can discuss in this forum. Although this thread has been placed under “Indoor/Hydroponics” since I think this is the most popular application of the system, it can be used in greenhouses (the surface must be flat and level), with organics in soils and with both auto’s and photo’s. Please join the thread if you use Autopots in any way or form. My own combination is as such: Salt based nutes (TA trio); Autoflowers; Freedom Farms F1 (Amended Coco-perlite). I’ve just completed a run and have spent the day cleaning the grow room, and stripping the coco, clay pebbles etc out of the pots. I have learned a few tips over the last 18 months spent growing which I’d like to share as time goes on.

  5. I started with some seeds I got from a bud that was gifted to me. I don't know what they are just know it's cannabis 3 out of the 4 have germinated and I have 3 more in water that I'll put in some cotton later today. I'll update as I go and your advice is welcome!

  7. What to do with unwanted, small plants I planted 1x Big Demon (auto) and 1x Big bang at the start of spring, outdoors, Left overs from an indoor grow. wasn't long before both where flowering at about 500cm. buds were dense an dripping with trichomes. I plucked and dried the whole plants as is, took about 2 weeks to dry, 1 week burping in a bucket system after cutting into chunks. Then on to the shredder, material was added to a 40% ethanol solution and left to macerate for 3 weeks. no heat applied at all at any point. The resulting concoction diluted with distilled rain water to 15%. What a soothing, relaxing tonic, no high, no couch lock, no drowsiness. increased mental clarity, good pain blocker. Just an idea. no such thing as rubbish/waste

  10. Everyone forgets about Milbeknock when it comes to IPM. It is quite literally a super miticide. Breaks down in 4 days. Translaminar so penetrates through the leaf to kill on the bottom as well. Kills all mite species in all stages of development. One application and done. Is effective even with a non-lethal dose. No tolerance buildup.

  11. I doubt you will need a dehumidifier. For me, the biggest concern for pm/mold is when I lose power and the plants have to marinade in above 90% humidity with no air movement. Also, it might not be a bad idea to stick with the 240 x 120 tent and then take a phased approach to extra power and lights. This way you won't need to buy a new tent when you inevitably level up.

  12. I really want to switch to Gavita's new CT2000 LED fixtures, but the initial cost of replacing 10 fixtures is just too much at this point. They are kick ass lights though, and I am a firm believer in the Gavita brand.

  13. You could easily do 4 plants in 20l pots in just 1m2. This will also keep you in your target wattage Just the lighting needed for 2.4x1.2 is already practically 1kw(4 x 240w) then at least 200-300w for all your ventilation needs.

  14. I got a really really awesome one from The High Co @THCSA I am sure you have seen them sponsor quite a few comps on the forum as well. https://thehighco.co.za There might even be more options available which are not loaded on the website, reach out to them. You won't be disappointed. I would suggest getting a rig where the banger sits flat and not at an angle (so a straight stem).

  15. Trimming day! Started early this morning and finished just after lunch. Caught some bud rot again but not nearly as much as the last batch. I'm sure I might have even lost this batch if I had not reduced the humidity when I did. If I never see bud rot again, that would be great. Managed to get a fat 3L jar worth this time around. Jirre I might have gotten another 1L worth if it wasn't for the bud rot. Tsek. I'll update in a few days on the dry weight.
