  1. Hello garden folk, we are in week 3 of flower with the indoor plants in the soil. The stretch should be settling now. I tried to manage the plants as best I could given the situation, the GG#4 is a standout plant. She is the only plant grown from seed, and is stretching insanely even after all the topping she received. Other plants were obviously all trained and kept in check. Possibly too much, but anyway, the canopy is manageable. Removed the hanging fan as the plants were creeping towards the fan blades, added another clip on fan and some fresh air being pushed in near the bottom corner there. And that's about all to report. on to the next couple. Order from left to right - Animal Cookies ; GG#4 ; Quattro Kush ; Sherbet Crasher

  2. Alright, so the experience with the Gorilla Zkittlez and powdery mildew has been enlightening. It appears that for the most part, the PM gets as far as the sugar leaves and then kind of gets "trapped" by the sticky trichomes. To my delight, it seems that none of the actual buds have been compromised thus far. It is getting a bit much plucking every heavily affected leaf from the plants, I can see the plants starting to stress further. The game plan is to take the tops off tomorrow evening, same as the ZxP. Then I will try to push for another week as well as pluck as many affected leaves between now and then as possible. 3. Greetings. It seems like I have grown ( without intention) a single bud!. It's the only auto I've managed so far!. All other auto's (15) in total were a failure. Now, how far do you think this bud needs to go before I harvest it?........(you may laugh if you wish). It's 9 weeks from seed and smells gorgeous!. Not many tricombes and they are still clear.

  4. Another 4 to 5 weeks I roughly. Next time, grow some photoperiods

  5. Howdy! So been a while since I last had a grow diary. New year, new grow! Decided to skip through the boring veg part - but to bring you all up to speed I got some seeds from @Golden-Goose and BnB (all regulars). Popped them on 31 December and flipped most on 20 Feb (from seed takes quite a bit longer than from cutting). So I got the following seeds: GG Wedding Mints (GG Strains) Critical Banana (Old School Genetics) Pineapple Chem (Golden Goose) Dosi Punch (Symbiotic Genetics) I had fucking horrible luck with the Dosi Punch, only ended up with 1 seedling which stunted and is still in veg. Hoping it is female. BnB won't do anything, the breeder has not responded to me - waste of money unfortunately. Hope this plant makes it worth it though. All other seeds germinated without issues. I think there is also one GG Wedding Mints in veg as that plant was taking its time and I did not want to wait any longer to flip as some plants were getting pretty darn tall already. I have already culled 6 or 7 males, there is one more plant which I am certain is male - will double check tonight and cull it if it is infact a male. At the same time, I decided to try a bit of an experiment and have put some plants into 10L pots, no training. See how that does in terms of yield and convenience. So this grow diary is a bit of a mix between some plants being grown from seed, as well as an experiment and to ensure the tent is full, I will likely be adding a few other plants into this tent to flower them. I plan on adding a Banizzle from @THCSA which is a Jungle Boys cross. The bud I saw from this plant looked fantastic and the bud I got to try was superb! The plant I have is from seed so hopefully it is female and we shall see what pheno I get. However I do plan on buying a pack of the Banizzle and some other seeds from Lank Dank Seedbank in the very near future! As for the experiment with the 10L pots, I have a mix of plants - some I have run before which are frosty AF but low yielders, some which I have run before which yield well but lack frost and some which I have not run before and have no clue what to expect. These are the strains in the experiment: Platinum Punch (In House Genetics) Bananium (In House Genetics) Crescendo (Ethos) Zweet Insanity (Ethos) Citradelic Sunset (Ethos) x2 I do not think I will be focusing much on the experiment, more on the other plants in the 20L fabric pots. Here is a pic I took over the weekend after I did a defol. The plant at the back which is still busy.... pretty sure its a male.

  6. Agree. Autos are suppose to be the fad. Unless you have experience with them and dialed them in, i wouldn't bother. Spend a bit of extra grow time and you will be rewarded with a much bigger yield. My biased opinion.

  7. Hellllooooo there. Nice little plant you got going there. No one's laughing. Don't worry. We have all had bumps along the way, especially with autos. I for one am not a fan at all as I have also had sooooo many of my autos fail. Actually every single one failed . I think I am really shit with them. So you have answered most of your question already. Clear trichome on the bud is a good indicator that she can still go a little. I think I can see some white pistil hairs on the lower part of the plant. Thats also a good indicator although not the best. Usually I would let the pistils also darken but that is not the best way to check. The trichome turning cloudy and then amber would be your best indicator. But I think youd be ready to harvest anytime soon. One thing I noticed was the soil you have has alot of bark in. Looks like the potting soil you get from builders, with some perlite mixed in. I have used this soil on its own and have had seriously decent bud grown in it. Better than most outdoor kak you can buy. But learning from the guys on the forum it is probably not the best for Cannabis (too acidic). Either way. I do think, even if you use the same soil with a photoperiod plant you will get waaaaaaay better results. Thanks for the share. Let us know what it smokes like when its done and dried etc. Enjoy

  10. Stretchy plants are a pain to work with, internodal spacing the size of ones hand. Let's see how it turns out though.

  11. Correct, very stretchy. Not my favorite trait if I'm completely honest.

  12. So I had a chat with @PsyCLown and We spoke about it being much better an experiment given the chance to grow 2 clones of the exact same genetics which I agree, so I will be adding these 2 GG #4 Josey Wales clones run simultaneous with the sugar widows, same set up, same feed for the experiment plant. So we will be able to somewhat conclude between seeds and clones. adds another dimension to the testing which I’m happy about. The GG is 3 weeks in flower tomorrow. We will see how she progresses during the experiment.

  13. Growing from seed and doing a comparison isn't ideal, there can be quite a few differences when growing from seed. I have purchased packs of seeds where one plant looks nothing like the other and then a 3rd one is more along the lines of what I'd like. I have also grown the same cutting a few times and due to inconsistencies, ended up with bud which looks as if it could have been from a different strain despite it being a cut from a known pheno. Small changes can make big differences and depending on how accurate you want the comparison to be, you need to try ensure everything is as much the same as possible. Although possibly too late to look at sourcing 2 clones of the same plant - still going to be cool to see the differences, although differences in terms of terps, trichomes, yield, bud structure all go out the window and cannot be accurately compared. To put it into perspective, the below two pics is the same strain, just different phenos. Not the biggest difference I have noticed, just what I have pics of.

  14. Week 4 5l pots are a bit small for my growing style but some of the plants are still looking good. Had to tie up the Tangie. She was Falling over. Really smells like na naartjie

  15. It’s probably shitty weed that wasn’t flushed properly and now they want to flog it. Snap crackle and pop, how did it taste? Anything like Nos?

  16. wow shit man do you still have some of the bud? my first question to you is simple, is the weed properly dried yet? sorry if that's a dumb question, but you never know if you really sure it's not seeds or stems it could be that he rushed or pushed something during harvest/dry/cure and depending on where he rushed or pushed it, it may have different levels of concern. if you have some, grind some up and take a real close look at it, maybe post a photo for us? I had a plant shoot out nanners at the end of a grow, pushed them too far and it pollinated a spot here and there in the tent that started forming seeds. I could see the little swolen pockets in the flowers when closely inspected, I gave some of that weed to my brother in law and he also smoked it without noticing the seeds, cz they just started forming and is really just a hard peice of green "barky" seed shell that looks just like the rest of the weed, but it will crackle when sparked. if this is the case then it just depends on the smoker how much they like it, personally I can't stand it. if this is not the case, then you actually do have right to be a bit worried as your friend might be smoking on some carcinogens. it will be minute amounts, nothing to write home about. I mean there are carcinogenic particulates in the food we eat and the air we breathe, but be careful as that is the last list in life that you wana keep adding to. we rather wana make that list shorter. in this case the snap, crackle and pop is the sign of nutrients that the plant needed when it was alive that are still present in forms of sugars, salts, startch and other forms of oils that you do not wana smoke. this would be the result of pumping the plant with too much PPM in the last period of its life and not making sure the plant was atleast starting to fade before harvest. so pushed the nutes and then rushed the harvest. also, did he perhaps wash the bud after he harvested? some people wash their buds with lime juice and bicarbonate of soda then they forget to wash all that off with clean water and this may also result in a snap, crackle and pop and probably more carcinogenic and the biggest risk to your health of all the rest. definitly not a calyx problem though, the more calyx the better

  17. What I heard is that legal grows are pumping product into the illegal market at R10 a gram. It could be sulphur that they spayed or burnt in the last bit of the grow. Lesotho legal producers.
