  3. These babies are all cured up with 1 of 3 entirely smoked . I wanted to thank all who took their time to share their wisdom with me on this grow. Without you guys I would definitely not have made it to harvest! The plants came out beautifully, in my opinion, with really great terps and flavour. Going from smoking outdoor and greenhouse for the last 10 years to smoking straight indoor for the last 3 months has been something to get used to, the high is quite intense if not careful haha I tried growing some Auto's after this, terrible failure. Chopped those down in Feb and was gifted 4 plants already in veg. They've just recently been flipped, will start up another diary, so watch out for that Thought I'd drop some of the final pics from chop day and a picture of some of the end product.

  6. Hey guys. Things are looking very different but in a good way. Jacky White: She ia coming along nicely, although I am starting to doubt the Jacky White part. I took seeds out of the Jacky White bud and I am now seeing, which I believe, is a very strong Royal Banner influence. But lets see how she ends up. Blue Kush Berry: The buds are rock hard, fat and frosty. All the trichomes is milky and some pistils is still white. I'm guessing she is about ready, maybe a week Pineapple Chunk : She took her time to start flowering, but at last decided to join the others. As she progresses I will go into detail more. The bottom branches was removed for me by the wind and im guessing a dog but I needed to clean the bottom up anyways Banner Biscuits This one is weird this season. One part of the plant started flowering way earlier than the rest. Now the back or front depending where you stand is almost finished whereas the rest is still coming along. But nonetheless she is smelly as fuck and not to mention the stickyness,... Bruce Banner: Very sturdy plant and the flowering is beautiful. Its just solid bud from top to bottom. Soooo glad I took cuttings of this one. Her trichome production is still in the early process but that's normal. Slurricane Cheese She has a smell that I cant place. Its a good stinky, musky smell and something else I cant place. Buds is also rock hard and all the trichomes is milky. She started pushing some more white pistils so I'm waiting on that and also some more trichome change then its harvesting And thats it for the Therapy Garden for now...

  8. the 120w from light it up with the heat sink is the one with the samsung diodes. that's the one you want
    2 points
  9. That is really small, I'd say go at least 1m x 1m and generally the 110W lights are the ones with just a flat aluminium plate not no fins on the heatsink. I would suggest you avoid such a light and get one which has some proper heatsinks with fins to more efficient cooling. Although tell us what happened, then perhaps we can advise better.

  11. Hi everyone, I am currently looking to purchase an indoor setup for myself. Nothing fancy or big. Just enough to be a new hobby. I am always willing to invest in more stuff later, just dont have the money right now. So basically my budget is Around R5k. I am willing to go over, but anything lower is always preferred. I got a quote form MarijuanaSA and want a few opinions on it, or just a whole new quote for those that are willing to make one. It seems to have all the important items in it. I can buy a few items that do the same at lower prices, like on takealot. I am looking at 0.8x0.8 or a 1x1 tents. What would be better? I want to grow around 2 to 3 plants at a time. Then, I would really like a cheaper light to use but just cant seem to find a good option that is less than 1k... So basically, I am asking for assistance in selecting all the basic items for my first ever indoor grow. Whatever saves me the most money and gives me enough items to get away for at least 2 harvests before investing more. I already have soil and pots from my outdoor plants. Any help will really be appreciated as I barely know what I am buying with indoor growing equipment. I have a small list of just a few items that I am putting together to use as a purchasing guide. Here it is for a general idea of what im currently looking at:

  13. https://growopz.com/products/prototype-sale-85w-bridgelux-vero29-2700k-90-cri-fixture if you by 2 of these you would be sorted. Timers you can buy at brights for under R200. Fans at hydro biz. Extractor fan at AC/DC 2nd hand tent. Buy organic living soil and just feed explode grow. And a bit of bio bloom and you will be sorted for your first grow.

  14. The 60 x 60 tent is quite short at 1.4m and I feel the height is going to cause headaches. Perhaps an 80 x 80 which has a height of 1.8m or 2m would be better and make your life a bit easier.

  15. So the juggernaught x 24k gold (jungle boys) & sunset sherbert (ethos) both confirmed males. Gorilla glue still not showing, Does anyone have an interest in studs before we send these guys to the guillotine?

  16. So the 120w is out of stock, any thoughts on the mars hydro ts600 ? It's within the same price range.it's rated at 100w did not see any heat sinks though. Thanks for the info @Totemic

  17. I'm running a 120w from lightitup in a 60x60 for my clones and early veg and I do feel the light is overkill for the space and could veg 80cm or even 1m. As for Flowering. Because the light is overkill, and because the tent is only 1.4m high, with the light right at the top of the tent, you going to need some serious training, and even smaller pots to keep Flowering plants small enough to fit in the right zone of light

  18. check out this one https://growopz.com/products/qb-130v2-3000k 130w for cheaper also with samsung diodes and it's bar style so they don't heat up at all. I got a bar one myself. you can request the HLG driver as it comes with XLG, you might just have to email them and ask if it fits a 60x60 tent note the 3000k will be yellow for flower specific and the 3333k slightly more blue for veg but you could also flower under that.

  19. So the 120w from light it up has the heat sink. So this should be better than the Samsung

  20. oh yeah no then scratch what was said, 1 small 60x60 tent is plenty!

  21. At this stage 1-2 plants will be adequate.

  22. Regret going the bucket route. There is always some sort of sacrifice. I'm looking to only grow 1-2 plants. That's why I thought I would get an appropriate size tent and light, I haven't bought anything yet. So I'm all ears and ready to learn from the pros

  23. like the ladies say, bigger is always better, hey? think he mentioned that space is a issue, not sure in what way it's an issue. if he needs more space to fit a tent or if the tents are too small. @Rsa if you need more space you should save up for bigger tent and light, but if you can't fit a big tent in your space then you good with the small one. I was gona go in the deep with stories on my first grow setups and how I got where I am now, but I think it's the same for most of us. we all start somewhere

  24. I also thought about that but figured due to the size of the tent to not recommend otherwise. At least it's the right diodes Maybe he's lucky and it's got a proper heatsink like the one I have on my 120W QB. It is a good point though, those budget LEDs with the flat aluminium plates as a heatsink are dogshit and get super hot. One guy told me his experience where his LED like this even shocked him if he accidentally brushed past it, but that was a freak case

  25. this sounds all too familiar! also learned the hard way that make-shift projects can quickly become more expensive than conventional or commercial solutions. 9 times out of 10 make-shift solutions are also not as efficient either and can become a headache in time. you making the right choice by going with the proper equipment, you won't regret it! I agree with Evan, FF green bag with biobloom is the way to go!! perhaps add BioGrow and Fishmix to the list of things you'll need, however you will need a lot less of these two, but once there's N deficiency it's good to have those on hand and not have to run around wasting time to get the stuff to save your plants. N deficiency is probably the most common deficiency you'll run into if you giving plain water for most of your grow. BioBloom is not the right nutrients to give for N deficiency.

  26. i use an 85w Flourecent for my clones and cuttings... and even there its a proper waste of my time avoid like the plague IMO

  27. Excellent, thanks everyone for all the advice, really appreciated. I will get all the gear then start a new thread.

  28. Yes it will be, especially the Premium Classic green bag. I do believe however you will need some bloom nutes going into flower just to help out the buds develop.

  29. So what really got my interest with space buckets was space saving and cost. I personally think space will always be a issue for growing. With cost, 85w cfl are R175 each for the cheapest. Once the cost of fans, fittings bucket cost is all factored in you would not be far from buying a Samsung 110w and a 600 x600 x 1400 tent. So I'm my opinion I should of gone this route from the beginning. Would freedom farm potting soul be adequate for a tent grow ?

  30. Thanks for info Grass Bass. It's definitely something to consider!. Perhaps 2 in the ground and 3 in pots utilizing my existing setup. I like alternatives just in case there's a problem with either grow!. My forest friend grows in a large tunnel. No worries for heavy rain but shit does it get hot in there sometimes!. Life itself is an experiment.... Have a groovy day.....

  37. Hey guys Its has not been a month yet but I am posting now because the lights were swithed off yesterday. I gave them their last Seagro feed and now its time to go to the next stage. They are getting a bit big now which also led to my decision. I was planning to switch off on December 31 but thought otherwise. Here they are, in no particular order: Jacky White : PS: Check that sunflower Blue Kush Berry : Pineapple Chunk : Banner Biscuits : Bruce Banner #3 : Slurricane Cheese: a View from above: I am not as active on the forum as I need to be, but that is because I started a new job and I am puttting a LOT of energy into it.
