So a quick update, been quite busy and weekends have been busy too. So here is a pic of the plants in the smaller pots - the experiment part. Amongst them, towards the rear is the Platinum Punch - as you can see she is fast when it comes to flowering. Also there is the Bananium: Then moving on to some of the seeds, we have the Critical Banana. Frost is not going to be on the same level as the above 2 In House Genetics strains however frost is there and the she seems to stack quite nicely. A close up of each pheno and then a pic of the one to show her stacking. Then last but not least I snapped some pics of the GG Wedding Mints which at this point I am rather disappointed by. Very leafy and tiny buds... Hoping she packs on some weight and continues to do so over the next few weeks before harvest. I know the coco is not 100% and I suspect EC has built up in it, taking measures to avoid this with the next grow. Wondering and hoping the GG Wedding Mints is just sensitive to this and that is the cause for her poor performance (so far), however I somehow doubt it.8 points

Found some budrot on one cola but luckily found the fucker eating and shitting in my bud. Cleaned up a lot of fan leaves and found a touch of WPM on the fan leaves. Will prob chop in a week or so. Trichomes are mostly milky. This will be my biggest harvest BY FAR. First real outdoor run. Those strawberries and asparagus can’t wait to see the sun again Also chopped a volunteer bag seed. Prob a NL as I got a batch of heavily seeded NL that usually got cleaned over the balcony. Before. After. And the haul. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

My fellow florists, Tis the season to be trimming.... These Fruitpunch ladies brought the goods, is pure joy watching something you created come to full flower. The slight variations between the f2 and f5 gen are interesting, but not totally unexpected/undesirable. Most notably....very little budrot/wpm and very little loss due to this effing fusarium. Still couldnt get rid of it completely but at least we didnt lose whole plants like last year.3 points

Looking good bro. It's a pity about the GG Wedding Mints, but that's how it goes sometimes unfortunately.2 points

Agreed. It was a killer event. The way it was setup, the vibe, alles lekker. And the bud entries were all fire. I couldn't sample all of them though, joh haven't been quite so stoned in a bit2 points

The addict I am I was chomping at the bit to get started but without a drip tray I didn't want to go bugger up the tent base. Why not use a garden table says the wife. Fuck she's a genius. All the stragglers into the shade house and two of the mystery auto's under the 75's. All set until I can find decent drip trays.1 point

Well that’s what happens when you use logic and think 2 steps ahead. Just think for a minute, if “I” continually don’t honour what I’ve agreed to doing, people are going to sooner or later think I’m a doos.1 point

Not the end of the world, maybe a rerun will prove for better results as you say, but other plants looking fire! my gg#4 is looking quite promising I’m happy to confess, nice terps too.1 point

@Righteoussower what's good brother, hope you're doing well well fuk, first of all, no stress here man there are people who grow for years and still "pre-trim" their plants before harvest. not sure if they do as thorough of a job as you did there! I've seen people do it to save time, to prep for a very high humidity countering PM. they do it for all kinds of reasons, so at least it's not like what you did is the worst thing ever. you removed a lot of biomass, the leaves are like the kitchen of the plant where all the ingredients come together and they get redistributed throughout the plant, so now that you've removed a lot of biomass, but the plant is still uptaking nutes, you need to check for signs of nutrient burn on the buds. if you see any signs it's better to chop right away. about harvest time, I see you checking the trichomes there, that's the right thing you should be focused on right now. a very big portion of cannabis consumers are drawn to it because of its anxiety relieving properties. if you have a problem with anxiety and you do a way early harvest your weed will be smoking you with all the anxiety it will induce. clear trichomes - too early, causes anxiety and racy feelings. milky trichomes - juuust where you want them amber trichomes - too late, couch lock lazy sunday, sleep half the day. I don't see any milky trichomes, I only see clear and a few amber. however it looks like you took a photo of the outside or the top of a bud. just be careful for this, as trichomes on the sugar leaves and outside of the bud mature way faste than the trichomes inside the bud. when I check my trichomes I remove a small bud (not a popcorn larfy bud, a proper one, but a smaller one) then I carefully disect it, I don't just cut it up and destroy all the resin heads, so just take the smaller peices off the stem with scissors, then take a look at the inside trichomes. they all mature almost at the same rate and a little slower than the outside trichomes. when you see around 30 to 50% milky inside, CHOP! the rest of them will turn milky during the first week of dry. aim to have you medium dry on the day of chop, don't flush the plant at all right now. just normal amounts of clean water. 3 to 5 days before chop no more water. I like mine more on the clear/milky side rather than the milky/amber side. I kinda like feeling anxious, good motivater hahah1 point

Haha! Same thing. Smokers are considered in the group of risk, but I haven't got any symptoms throughout this quarantine period. I live near the Calgary dispensary, and I was five minutes away from this shop, so I always had fresh weed at home. I was smoking every day because I didn't need to go to my job. I was afraid because I knew that smokers are at risk of getting infected by COVID, but I am very happy that now I found out that canabis is helping to avoid this disease. It again demonstrates that cannabis is the ultimate medicinal plant.1 point

@Righteoussower Do yourself a favour and do a weekly taste test. Then you can experience how the bud cures, how the harseness disappears and the flavours become more prominent and smooth. Some strains are fine with a 30day cure while others need at least 90days.1 point

Im supposed to send stock tomorrow. Hope its still operating. He bought like 9k worth of autos from me a few monthes ago and never listed them. Hope everything is ok with cannabist. 200 tiny plants. Aiming for this size lol really. Then reveg.1 point

Good luck with the pheno hunt sista. My biggest concern with attempting a pheno hunt is trying to explain to the pigs why i have 200 plants in my backyard...1 point
-
No need for that. Don't fill the jar chock n block full. About 3/4 full. Keep the jar in a dark cupboard at room temp. Burp at least 6 times a day during the first week. After that not so much. Most important is to not expose curing bud to UV rays. Enjoy your harvest brother.1 point

3 of the 'under-performers' get to go outside for the duration. I will still be watering/feeding them, so no abandonment issues. That leaves 5 in the tent. Still a bit cramped, but I'll be watching closely and applying ongoing foliar neeming... The tent is now in flowering mode, so lights on from 13h00 to 1h00.1 point

Looking lekker man. Also good to hear Cannabist is still operating. Went dark on me with any comms for months up to now.... glad he is fine though...1 point

Most of the autos have been chopped and are curing nicely. Getting empty upstairs. Mostly photoperiods remaining. Starting 200 regular photoperiods to hunt phenos, starting them in L1.25 pots and just letting them stay outdoors, they will soon start to flower as the days are getting shorter and colder. Im looking for a gassy purple skunks. Had enough of the sweet flavours. Repot and 18/6 reveg and keep clones. All from the ripper seeds stuff crossed with totemics chocolate gelato F2 . If you want to join the hunt these will be available on cannabist as 50 seed packs. Still breeding only autos in the tent. Anastasia 99 cross AK47 auto. The T1000 photoperiod leaning over is a reveg attempt.1 point

Another week gone by, quite happy with the progress1 point

All good, just given them a spritz of antifungal. I use a very weak solution of water and pre-emulsified neem oil. Seems to be working, along with humidity control. I will be switching over to flowering this weekend as most plants have already topped half way. There won't be enough room for them all, so I'll be moving some to the veg tent, or just leave them outside for some natural flowering. I'm not taking any clones, or even topping/fimming/stressing etc. This because a) I'm lazy b) in a hurry for some buds c) have been so impressed with the purchased clones, I'll probably just do a different strain of those for next grow.1 point

A very big thank you to those who bought passes or entered their bud. Judge passes sold out a few days ago and we have 20 cultivars entered. A bunch of judged have have come from America, Holland and Canada. The support from local brands and international brands has been amazing. Looking forward to meeting some of you there.1 point

Organic Tent™ is a go! Four ZxP plants have been transferred into the 1.2x1.2 tent and I will be running a 18/6 light schedule to keep the plants in veg so I can train them up. I also threw a nice helping of mycoroot right where I transplanted them into the pots and just watered with plain water as a first watering. I will give them a few days to just settle in their new spots then I will make some chops and top all four. I have done 8-branch manifolds quite successfully in the past when I was still doing DWC so I think I may just do the same with these four under a net and see what happens. I am also making moves in my veg tent. Seeing as I want to do all plants in the big flower tent all at once instead of staggering them 6 at a time, I need to start developing mother plants of the strains I want to do so I can take the 12-18 clones required all at once. Then thereafter, I will be able to just simply take clones from the plants in the big tent before I flip them to flower, or just continue with the mothers. I'll decide closer to the time. So far, I have potted up two ZxP plants to be mothers for future clones, then I will do the same for the winning pheno of the KmintZ clones, and then lastly the Wedding Cake that is still sitting in the propagator.1 point

Week 6 got my eye on my favourites. The QK is the most pungent in the tent, the animal cookies smells unpleasant, the GG is more along the lines of sour gas and tiny hints if sweet, sherb crasher really smells like nothing at all.1 point

After about 2 days of walking around pondering about harvesting, checking through the jewelers loop countless times, I have decided to start chopping her... The trichomes is milky throughout the plant and I have noticed amber trichs forming on the bud. Sugar leaves also started turning but it changes faster than the trichomes on the bud so I dont pay to much attention to that. Also noticed droppings on the buds which indicate an uninvited "friend". I cant find the fucker but I think it him chowing the bud causing it to break off and die. I have clones from her which I'll plant out in August to flower out and push a bit futher if i notice anything. I havent grown this strain before and like I said in earlier posts, I don't think this is a legit Slurricane Cheese. Anyone grown Slurricane Cheese before??? The other reason is that the Blue Kush Berry is not to far away. Buds is ROCK HARD. Most hairs ia brown, milky trichomes but no amner trichome change,....yet1 point
-
These are random buds from the Slurricane Cheese to show in more detail how far she is. The reason is that there is something wrong on the plant and I just want ro check with the community what their thoughts was on harvesting the lady this weekend : Now the problem is that part of the bud just.....dies. Its not budrot, i think, cause its hard and dry. I have spotted some stink bugs in there and a few Robins taking them out. I havent noticed it on the other plants yet... Issue: Best pic I could find1 point

So far I am really liking what I see! Still early days though. The critical banana has been impressive from seed, hardly plants and been super easy to grow. Results look pleasing so far. Will obviously be doing more updates as the grow progresses and once we can see more bud development on the plants then I will take of each plant and list the name and number. For those wondering, this is the write up on the Critical Banana: CRITICAL MASS (BILBO CUT) X BANANA PUNCH by Old School Genetics Critical Mass (Bilbo cut) is one of the most cultivated cuts of all time. This cut is extremely productive, with an intoxicating aroma of sweet fruit and musk. I used a selection of Banana Punch from Symbiotic Genetics as my male, looking for that perfect combination of old and new. This is what the Banana Punch looks like: Nice frosty strain, however it suffers from smaller buds like majority of the frosty strains out there. Critical Mass is known for it's big donkey dicks... So combining the two, hopefully gets us a nice mix between bud size, density, and frost while keeping some of the great terps from both. This is a picture of the Critical Banana: I If I can get a pheno with nice dark leaves and darker bud to help make the trichomes pop, good yield and frost and some sweet, sweet terps.1 point
-
So let's do a bit of an update shall we. Not the best pictures - apologies and the phone makes it seem as if there are some serious dark spots in the tent which is not the case. When I receive my new phone, hopefully the I will be able to take some better quality pics. Here we have the Platinum Punch: The Bananium: Pineapple Chem: Critical Banana: The GG Wedding Mints, stacking nicely. Canopy shot, cannot remember of what - I think the Crescendo and Pineapple Chem... I am happy with everything in this tent so far. Was hoping to see a bit more frost on the GG Wedding Mints but maybe they will catch up with time. The Critical Banana seems to be packing on the frost already and obviously the In House strains are doing the same.1 point

Goodmorning all!! Flower tent update it's week 6 of flower and the Deluxe Sugarcane is still stretching my light takes up about 10cm in width, it's mounted all the way at the top, 1cm gap between my light and extraction fan. the DS haven't formed buds yet, but it already touching the light! tops got chopped after photos where taken, rather earlier than later. Deluxe Sugarcane Frosted Apricots Blueberry Hashplant putting the frost on real early - dialing back the N on the next few runs for this girl.1 point

What's good, Team just another weekly update. still just clean water all the way, plants grew quite a bit since last post, I took the time to clean them up and spread them open to get that real bushy bush. French Macaron Blueberry Hashplant Frosted Apricots Super Cheese Chernobyl1 point

Hey guys. Things are looking very different but in a good way. Jacky White: She ia coming along nicely, although I am starting to doubt the Jacky White part. I took seeds out of the Jacky White bud and I am now seeing, which I believe, is a very strong Royal Banner influence. But lets see how she ends up. Blue Kush Berry: The buds are rock hard, fat and frosty. All the trichomes is milky and some pistils is still white. I'm guessing she is about ready, maybe a week Pineapple Chunk : She took her time to start flowering, but at last decided to join the others. As she progresses I will go into detail more. The bottom branches was removed for me by the wind and im guessing a dog but I needed to clean the bottom up anyways Banner Biscuits This one is weird this season. One part of the plant started flowering way earlier than the rest. Now the back or front depending where you stand is almost finished whereas the rest is still coming along. But nonetheless she is smelly as fuck and not to mention the stickyness,... Bruce Banner: Very sturdy plant and the flowering is beautiful. Its just solid bud from top to bottom. Soooo glad I took cuttings of this one. Her trichome production is still in the early process but that's normal. Slurricane Cheese She has a smell that I cant place. Its a good stinky, musky smell and something else I cant place. Buds is also rock hard and all the trichomes is milky. She started pushing some more white pistils so I'm waiting on that and also some more trichome change then its harvesting And thats it for the Therapy Garden for now...1 point

Aweh fellow florists. Ladies are doing lekker, weighed down with their burdens. But we like it that way. Very happy with the results so far since moving to the growbed style of cultivation. Haven't fed any bottled nutes except to assist with any defs, of which we only had a slight Ca problem. They had a regular dose of AACT and some Comfrey/banana FPJ with molasses in flower. They reacted very positively to that so we started a Comfrey/banana/parsley FPJ, which I'll dose with some molasses before hand. Only other bag/bottle nutrient was some Protek guano pellets. Watering is also a much easier and lighter affair, compared to the pots and growbags. Fruitpunch f5 , f2. Lemon Fire-Tall lanky sativa flowering later. Cheers1 point

Aweh fellow florists, The outdoor flowering window is upon us, our ladies are looking awesome. Whole plant pic followed by flower. 1/2/3/4/5/6/11/12.Fruitpunch f5 7/8. Fruitpunch f2 9/10. Lemon Fire f1 Very happy to be able to run multiple plants that were bred by my own hand. The internodal spacing on the f5's are much more compact than the f2's. Possibly a bit more Swazi sativa stretch vs the Mango Kush compactness going hand in hand with the balance between fruity mango sweetness and Swazi citrus tang. Very interesting for me to see the different traits coming through in the different generations. IPM will have to on point with the compact girls, don't want to pay any more taxes than we have to. Leaf discolouration due to hectic UV experienced in our area. Plants looking amazing in comparison to the lawn, which is still trying to recover. Topdressed with some EWC and more organic material, girls got a AACT watering and a Comfrey FPJ. Next round will be another AACT and a Comfrey/Parsley/Banana FPJ. Cheers1 point

Well my whole summer drop is also with him... He never listed them, and summer is over. So it's like that drop never happened. No replies to me since end of January. I have seeds I need to send him, but is there a him to send them too? So I've just kept them in my vault. Either way, head down and hard at work on my spring drop that I'll be dropping personally this time round. Got a lekker winter test season up with hopefully some nice winter fade for the photoshoots0 points
