Hello bud, so depending on your medium and the structure you have created, your medium will dry up or stay wet all hinged on above factors, also the size of your plant.
letting you medium dry up completely in a living soil takes much longer than any other conventional method of growing I have found, due to the fact that living soils contain more organic matter than most soils. They are naturally better at keeping water in the system. Water logging living soil is also the easiest thing any grower can do and does because they are afraid of letting the soil dry out too much.
my advise is to stop worrying about under watering completely and every-time you want to water or not sure if you should, wait another day. Or get a moisture probe, even the lightest pots can still make that needle jump.
keeping living soil aerobic as best you can is very important.
