Update: did a major defoliation two days ago. Really impressed by how they took it. Maybe a bit late doing it towards the end of week 4, was a bit concerned and still learning the indoor ropes. Not something I would normally do with outdoor plants. Day two of week 5 and I have high hopes! Lowered the lights quite a bit too.. still experimenting with height.

Yeah, and THC also have expensive lawyers, lawyers who in fact were involved in the very constitutional court that GOA are using the judgment of to create their own in-house framework. I also don't see THC listed as an affiliate on GOA. THC are the ones fighting the real battle, in court, in this country, instead of passive aggressively breaking draft laws that aren't even enacted yet. I think we're reaching a point where the cannabis industry is going to have grown so big and have entrenched itself so much into communities through retail establishments and cafes that the justice system will inevitably have to catch up with the community, and I think this is what GOA and people like Chris Jay are pushing for. I just think it's risky business, but I guess that's what comes with social activism, but then let's call it that, and not a 'legal framework' or a 'license', because those do not exist within the cannabis industry except via the Medicines Act.

The Haze clubs hearing is confirmed for the the 9th of June, there we will find out what they think about the clubs. Currently the amended draft proposal includes a paragraph about the commercialization of recreational cannabis, no details just an insertion and somewhat of a notion that regulations would follow somewhere. With so much detail around what where and how in terms of cannabis and cannabis consumption, one usually gets the feeling that the community is still being strung along the path of bullshit hopes and dreams. I still have little faith in governments vision for cannabis. The only further extension they want to offer is instead of 4 flowering plants if you are alone, they will allow 1 individual 8 plants on the premise that medical evidence is provided for the need for palliation. 8 plants, no more! As if they are coming to the table and meeting the needs of the people. Buying, selling, giving, and everything in and around the shadows they don't care. More than 8 flowering plants and you'll still be considered a criminal with the merky system we have. Doesn't mean you'll be convicted. Just means you could very possibly be inconvenienced. You got to take your hat off to these guys doing their thing and writing a side law for themselves to be governed by, based on what information they have. Not saying what they have come up with is wrong. As I have said before, these guys upscaling and taking themselves away from initial preface are still journeying on unchartered territory. Actually people have already been there and done that, and well they have court dates now. I get the whole empowering the community scheme and getting everyone to grow more and make things more accepted, but at the end of the day, we need to see face value of this thing, government see illegal farms as part and parcel of the Justice system, the same Justice system that is still amending the bill, even though Rama P said moenie wary nie, Precedency got this... Today I harvested the Wedding Cake just past 8 weeks into flower. The fade was looking substantial and I wasn't going to get anymore with the bud development. The PM was also starting to get a little overbearing. The frost on the sugar leaves and bud is looking real nice and the terpenes are fantastic! Very sweet vanilla scents coming through. I am very excited to give this a smoke. Things to improve on; I think there is a lot I can still do with this strain. First off I want to train this strain like I have been doing the others. I think in this way I will get some more consistent and larger bud size. You can also see how the bottom branches did the flop again, so better use of the net will also be necessary. Otherwise, I think it's a better run than the last Wedding Cake I did. I've taken down a lot of notes and I think I will be able to nail it on the next one.

And just like that, no more braai days for AntZilla. It's that time of the year, mist hangs around till 10ish these mornings and the first sign of bud rot. Small but it's the start. Had flash backs of Haunted Kush Cake what with the aromas, colour and ease of trim. Another one of my threads closed. Thanks for tagging along.

what's good my dude! I'll throw up some bud shots when I start trimming her. I did not search this strain out, so I didn't know the lineage or anything like that, had to ask who the breeder was! was given an option to grow out a clone for myself after smoking some of the flower, so I said why the hell not resin production looks on the heavier side, but still a bit ..... eh.... not the frostiest of strains, but still very frosty. I think what pushed me to grow her out was more the terpenes. I get great relief and upliftment from aromatherapy so to me the smells and tastes of stuff I injest sometimes can make me higher than the frostiest weed. you've heard of the entourage effect? the concept makes sense to me, because if I smoke extracts I am super high for like 30min to an hour. when I smoke bud I am high for like 4hrs... there are so many chemicals in the rest of the plant that gets neglected, it's kinda wrong of us to look at the frost to decide how good the weed is. kinda the same as where the relief and sedation comes from with CBD strains. you smoke that stuff you still feel high, but theres miniscule amounts of THC present. with that being said, I consciously avoid CBD strains, because I like to enjoy most psychoactive compounds. heres a small cut I had extra, I kept her outside so naturally she started flowering, snapped a few photos for you. being a very small plant and growing outdoors the expressions differ quite a lot to the one grown indoors, but just to give a rough idea..

That is what is great about stepping outside ones home and seeing for oneself. I think GOA has about 24 "licensed" coffee shops now, all according to them within the legal framework. Now that is not coming from a stoner but an expensive lawyer who speaks latin and a big briefcase. Cannapax, dont hang with people who purchased the cheapest franchise in South African history by R175K. The interesting people who went with Cannapax ( trail blazers ) and navigated the murky waters with them, did not talk crap wanting the owner of cannapax 20 years jail time, developed the strategy, never gave up and running a successful social club, hats off to you. Update time Nearing end of 4 week since flip. Flower has really started to come on nicely in the last 7 days. Any temp advice..? Conflicting advice on the web regarding ideal and acceptable temps during flowering. Obviously don't want to waste eskom on heater if not really necessary. 20 - 23 with lights on during the night 18 - 19 with lights off during the day

Next batch of ZxP has been chopped this morning. 5 colourful plants in all, and some nice full buds hanging off the branches. I am going to slightly modify my usual harvest routine. Usually I would remove all the big fan leaves and then lay the branches on a dry net in a closed empty grow tent. This time around I am going to hang the whole plants upside-down in an empty grow tent. My intention is to slow down the drying process and to put a little more emphasis into a proper cure, seeing as I have some good stock for once and am not in such a rush to get my fix This is looking to be some of the best ZxP I have grown yet. Now to get a full tent of it!

ZxP is 8 weeks tomorrow and the Wedding Cake is 7 weeks. The ZxP is looking ripe for the picking, so I will probably turn the taps off tonight. The Wedding Cake still looks a bit green and glassy so it will keep going, maybe through to 9 weeks. ZxP Wedding Cake My Organic Tent™ is at 3 weeks into flower and is pushing some good flower already. I am going to bump up the Biobizz ratios a bit. I have been alternating between feeds and fresh water so far. I am impressed with the results of the Biobizz nutes.
