Canopy is coming along. I've got the itch to hit the flip. I am about a week past when I would usually flip so far. I feel like I want to still push veg for a bit. The cold is making the plants a bit droopy during the morning but they perk up during the afternoon. In the past I've had to battle with sub 10C temps but now the temps don't dip more than 16C and my current max is 24C. Not ideal for veg to have such cold periods, but it won't be for much longer and the general growth seems to be coming along regardless. The canopy would probably look a bit more bushy if the leaves were praying up. The last few days the plants were looking a little pale so I've since raised my LED wattage to a total of 640W and the nutrient feed is at 1.8 EC. They are looking much greener today already.5 points

Duuuude!!!! Organic tent harvest looks really good. Nice nugs. And the big tent also looks like its going to be a show.... beautiful. I wanted to add..... what I have just notived with my next harvest coming up is that my amouny of fluff is less bit still there. I also wanted bigger nugs so I grew the plant bigger. I think the mistakes I mad preciously affects the size of my colas. Even though I have a shitload coming out this batch, the nug size isnt 100% what I want. This might be me comparing mine to a friends harvest which he uses HID lights. Anyway. So what I am going to try now is veg my plants alot bigger and top them way higher. I topped mine way too early and bushed out too much forcing me to flip. Now I wait till I have atleast 30cm of straight stems before topping. So basically i want to veg them high, top them high and then start training on the net. This gives me more vegging time but less veg if you catch my drift. Long stems then start branching out and I flip. So vegging will take longer, taller plants but less canopy so I can flip and grow into it. Hopefully giving me bigger nugs. I hope this makes sense. Basically I am trying to make bigger pathways to the nugs. Anyway. Great grow man. Look forward to every harvest.3 points

The male got the clip this weekend. Both Bobby’s Widow plants I decided to continue with is pollinated. It is funny how you mind changes about plants as they mature. Favourites right now is the Skywalker Haze from Dutch Passion. But the Bobby can still come into play later on. It has by far the tightest bud structure. The Gorilla Cookies is by far the frostiest but smells like absolutely nothing as yet.3 points

Hello good people It's important to never learn from some of your mistakes. Against my better judgement, instead of a tent I decided to build something with all the spare bits and pieces I have lying around. As is always the case it's been more work than expected but unlike most of my projects it's definitely coming in more cost effective than the tent. So far cost has been just over R300 and now I have storage space above the room. Usually these things end up costing more than what I could've bought it for in the first place however! Sometimes you just gotta keep banging your head against a wall until you get a different result which is what happened this time. Cheap, pretty sure it'll work ok but still got lots to do. dims: 100 x 170 x 220 I've put a pic of progress so you have a visual and can hopefully answer a couple q's: 1 - I was going to put a square wall heater into the room. Should I be concerned about radiant heat? I can't imagine it's a good thing. Where do you guys put the heater? I was thinking against the room wall on the near end. 2 - I have a TD200 silent bathroom extractor fan that I don't need under my house anymore. It's not speed controllable but its quiet and I think it'll work for such a small space. Was going to roof mount it at the far end and vent through the airbrick under the ceiling. Passive intake on the near end but I have no idea what size to make it. Ideas? Any help greatly appreciated1 point

And to keep a bit track... today is the first day of week 11. So 71 days passed since the seeds got dropped into water. Only Auto Strain I found so far actually doing its thing under 9 weeks are the Gelato's from 42FastBuds. The Nirvana plants are all off beside the White Widows, set with 11-12 weeks, they have a good chance to finish end week 12. Blue Cheese, Blue Dream and GSC will all take a few weeks longer as Nirvana states on their website. The Blue Dream a good 4 weeks longer as they say, also had 2 Hermis in that batch, I would say was genetic as they pushed flowers like a proper male, not just at certain branches.1 point

Speaking of the big tent, I've gotten the first net installed to keep the initial canopy spread level. This time around I have also removed all the LST lines seeing as the first net will now do the majority of the LST and when I add the second net shortly after flip that will also help shape the final canopy. I want to really develop a solid canopy this time around, so I will let the canopy grow close to where the LEDs are sitting now and then flip. I am hoping for this round to be the yielder I have been looking for1 point

Harvest update, the Organic Tent™ yielded 168g total between the four plants. Growing naturally I yielded roughly 37g per plant. With the new growing technique I managed 42g per plant... progress? I don't know. I think I need to try the same manifold again, but bigger plants. What a coincidence! That's exactly what I am going to do with my autopots in the big tent! Watch this space.1 point

Terpenes sour apple - sweet like candy skywalker haze - terpinolene dominant. Same as GTH waiting toe the others to push more terps. Anyway you cannot smell more than 2 a day.1 point

Great! Means I can ask questions! What percentage boveda you using? I'm thinking my 62% is too much. Bud from December went a dark brown colour quicker than i think it should have.1 point

This diary is at its end and I'm quite pleased with the results. Dry weight came in at 150g from all 4 plants, I hoped for 200 but we'll get there on the next run hopefully . Trying something new and exciting for this next run with a bunch of different strains, look out for the new diary . Thanks to all who took the time to have a look here and give their input. Always great to hear from others! Much love peeps1 point

Growth in veg is going well, all healthy plants and the training is even and flat for the most part. I will soon add in the first net to act as the initial spreader and leveler of the canopy. At that point I think I will start looking into flipping. In my last grow I flipped around here already and after harvest I felt I could have used a little bit more height in the space for some fatter buds and maybe less canopy. I got a few more pocorn nugs than expected so I would like to reduce that on this run.1 point
