Ok plants went outdoors to finish off. The probably have about 3 weeks left and we have been lucky with the weather. Still spraying STS on the lower branches of the CBD autoflowers but no luck yet with male flowers. Will continue though. Bobby’s Widow is a next level plant. Thick and rock hard flowers. The pretty one does not have much terps but the bushy one stinks of berries at this stage.3 points

Outdoor grown Beach Bum X Holy Cherry Dry Sift 120 micron - The terps were similar and I really couldn't tell the difference in trichome size from either 3 plants so ended up running everything together. Literally had to do the 120 as I don't have a 90 atm and I couldn't get it to go through the 75 ........2 points

Hello All, Hmmmmm .. off to a rocky-ish start. The Northern Lights, which germinated first, seems to be fading and I don't think he's going to make it. He was first out of germination and first out of the soil but has yet to lift his head up. The inside of his baby greenhouse and top soil is very, very dry, so I gave him literally one extremely tiny spray of water in case it might be that. As far as I'm aware there's literally nothing else I can do, so let's see what happens. The Blue Mystic which was planted a day after the NL is doing the best and is looking fine and happy. The Blue Cheese, which was planted first with the NL, is also happy-ish, but showing a little bit of yellow colourating on that very first round-ish leaf. Guess it must be a case of the soil being too nutrient rich for him? Not much I can do about it now, we'll just have to ride it out and hope he comes right. The Blueberry Kush, which is a very late starter and was last out of germination, is out above the ground but has yet to shed his little pod helmet. It was also the biggest seed of the lot, for what it's worth. Here's hoping at least 3/4 make it though these first rounds, because frankly, at this point I don't think the Northern Lights is going to survive. Pity, I thought he was going to be one of the best for this climate. On a side, note, does anyone in Cape Town sell single seeds? Nirvana only sells in packs of 4, and I don't really want to buy that many. In case 1 or two don't make it I'd like to plant again as soon as humanly possible as this is not only an experiment in the weather/outdoor situation but also with how the different strains perform against one another. And, how well I can get them to grow using the exact same methodology. I would like to take the 1-2 best performers out of this lot and put them in subsequent lots going forward. Potentially anyway. @DamDaveI seem to remember you mentioning some kind of 'lucky packet'? D2 points

Next on the cards, Chem dog - green house seed Co, and Dark Phoenix - green house seed Co. Been using the seedling mix from ff, and I highly recommend it. Will start feeding these girls on the second watering, just a trace element feed. Will probably keep only 2 of the chemDs as I’ll be running 4 plants in a 1,2 space. see you back in 6 weeks for veg will keep adding info as I go, these girls will go in 40l final pots, thinking about going back to the automated watering system on a pump and drip timer story. so if I decide to slap all my soil together, there’s much variation, but I just go according the plant size before and thumb suck what should go back. Had many small plants rounds before, and I’ve written down all my re-amends, so I know what has gone in. So looking at not reamending that half, other half with plants in them for the second round now are running very thin, plant colour giving this away, so they defos getting much. 4 plants in the 1,2x,6 in soil from that soil recipe I make in organic threads, second run now, only 1 top dress so far, but plants are about to cry2 points

So this grow was going to be Gorilla Fumé pheno hunt. But as usual I bought way to much seeds. So now it is a free for all again. Gorilla Fumé is from lucky dog seeds from @Golden-Goose Runtz Fast flowering and Florida Gaspack from HSO Jedi’s Code from Nocturnal Genetics. Trichopath cross see pics below mother OKC x GTH from @Totemicthe orange Kush cake was hunted by @trichomechaser and ghost train haze is from Rare Dankness.1 point

Hi All, Here's the start of my grow diary. As mentioned in this thread, I have no experience whatsoever, so any advice or observations along the way will be greatly appreciated. So far all 4 of my Nirvana seeds have germinated successfully. 2/4 (Northern Lights and Blue Cheese) are ahead of the others with their tap roots at about 1-2cm, so they went into the pots today. The other two (Blue Mystic and Blueberry Kush) will most likely be planted tomorrow as their tap roots are only just coming out. Each of the pots contain Orgasoilux and some mycorrhizal fungus and have been sitting, watered, for about a week now. I only sprayed the top of the soil lightly with some water after planting and enclosed each in a little 4 litre greenhouse. They will stay in here until they get too big. Here they are, Northern Lights and Blue Cheese, each planted in their 10l forever homes: Here's hoping it all turns out ok ... D1 point

It's all fun and games growing powerful ganja and we all like to show off the final results but it's the hassles and struggles in the background that are the real juicy parts. This is where I tell you how I've been struggling my schlong off recently, but those of you who have kept up probably already have an idea of what my hassle has been. First number one bullshit is the fade and deficiencies I'm experiencing in my big tent. First thing I did was raise the EC from 0.7 - 1.4 EC. Autopots you can usually get away with adding a lower EC because the nutrients are being continuously fed to the plants so technically you do not need to match the recommended EC on the bottle. So naturally that was the first thing I tried because I thought that the EC was simply too low. After a week of no change I decided it must be the medium I am using. I tested the pH at the reservoir and then the pH in the actual trays and I found that no matter the pH in the reservoirs, it would always be 0.3 pH higher in the trays. This made me think maybe the pH of the medium is too high and maybe the addition of a nutrient lock-out. Some of the medium is reused so this might also be a factor, although I did flush the medium thoroughly before using it again. Maybe I just messed it up somehow. I flushed the pots and the Autopot system with Flashkleen solution and ran about 5L through the system and drained it. I then waited for the pots to dry (which was this morning) and I will now add nutrient solution starting at half strength sometime this afternoon once the nutrient solution has warmed up to room temperature. Another suspicion is an old bottle of Micro I was using. It was given to me by a friend who wasn't using it but I have a feeling it's too old or off, so I am completely removing that bottle specifically and replacing it with one of my new bottles. Second number two bullshit is my veg tent. I had an entire round of clones just wreck itself which has set me back quite a bit, to the point that I have two empty tents chilling doing nothing that could have been close to flower by now. I am certain it was because it was too cold and too dry in my veg tent and they just couldn't take it. I decided then that I might as well get some fresh seeds and pop them along side the fresh clones I had taken after the first round of clones bombed out. I got 5 seed packs of Dinafem - Blueberry Cookies and OMG - Ripper Seeds. The company I bought from also provided some free seeds. I decided to pop all of them, because I just had this feeling... Well, the clones worked out this time, all of them rooted and are currently in pots. That's a full 100% turnaround from the last round! wtf. The weed gods giveth, and they taketh. Speaking of taketh, only 4 OMG seeds popped. Yes, only 4 out of 15 seeds popped, and it was only the Ripper Seeds that popped. I don't know if I have to say this, but I think I am only going to purchase Ripper Seeds from now on. I will bow and become a whore of Ripper Seeds because frankly they have provided the most for me up until now, first with my most successful strain ZxP, and now with being the only seeds to pop in my time of need. So I am thinking of throwing the four OMG into the previous Organic Tent™ so they can do their thing, and then I might take two Wedding Cake and four ZxP and pop them into Autopots for the other empty tent. I am thinking of using 6 instead of 4 plants per 1.2m² because I feel that even in the big tent currently I could have fit in some more plants. 9 plants per 1.2m² was certainly a bit ridiculous but I think the 6 plants will be the sweet spot.1 point

The pots one from Hydroponic.co.za. I think they were the rose pots. Not sure if they still have them bought them ages ago. I never water till I have run off. I will have to do a good kleen up once these seeds are ready. But yes will have to wipe down with water to neutralise pollen still in the tent.1 point

about 2 weeks, I'm writing off the Lotus head x wilson this is an unknown pheno, which is already too stretchy for me. Will probably just clone the crepes and the GG#4. The Wilson X slurri is dominating with her compact structure, may also clone her, but still got seeds.1 point

The male got the clip this weekend. Both Bobby’s Widow plants I decided to continue with is pollinated. It is funny how you mind changes about plants as they mature. Favourites right now is the Skywalker Haze from Dutch Passion. But the Bobby can still come into play later on. It has by far the tightest bud structure. The Gorilla Cookies is by far the frostiest but smells like absolutely nothing as yet.1 point
