  1. High all Hope that your grows and you are doing well. 2023 is just around the corner. So I've started organising the Cape Town Cannabis Cup a bit earlier this time. It is taking place on Saturday the 25th of March. 2022 was dope AF. But there is always room for improvement. So I paid attention and listened to a lot of the feedback. Limiting the entries to only 10 this year. Minimum of 50g per cultivar to enter. Will have Judge Passes and regular tickets available online. Happy to answer any queries and listen to any input here. Please understand if I don't do everything that everyone suggests. Wouldn't be possible to get anything done that way. Here's the cup page. Has links to the tickets and sponsor info. Sales open at the beginning of 2023 Will update this thread as we get closer to the cup. https://thehighco.co.za/cape-town-cannabis-cup/

  4. @200W | 80cm tent. Flower Day 36: OG Mandarin Cookies, Frozen Fuel PH5, Ginger Tea, Mandarin Sunset. Definitely overtrained, this lot just didn't stretch like the Crazy Haze, lesson learned. Excited to start over.

  11. I now have 3 new seedlings!. 2@3days old and 1@2days. I made sure the Coco was nice and moist when I planted them and haven't watered since!. The cups are light ish but the coir is still moist. I am now entering my twilight zone!. This is when I seem to fk up!. Scared shirtless of when to water next?. I've used clean 7 ph water up to this point. When you say 'super dry' would that be also for my new girls,....... ?. When do think I should water them and with what? ie; just plain 7 ph for now or + diluted nutes @ 6.3ph?. I'm sorry for the questions but do need some guidance regarding feeding frequency of seedlings. I've drowned so many now already...... it's sad!. Have a lekker weekend.

  12. Photoperiods in shade house and tyre garden still going strong. A little grasshopper damage on a few plants but not bad at all. Another 200l soil inbound tomorrow. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk

  13. Just think about your plants as a similar image above and below the soil, the root system is about r the same size as the plant, those plants are still developing their taproot.

  14. The cups still look ok the moist side, I would leave them for another 2/3 days, try remove some soil from that overflowing cup, that will make problems, they should be At the level of the first cup in the pic

  21. Onto week 4/6 respectively, Dp’s are shinning here, keeping both phenos and running em again. Chems are going in the trash, my first thought and I’m sticking to, is that they don’t like soil, which is not the end of the world, but is a great recipe for attracting pest, namely thrips which I’m sure about now. let’s see if we can get them to the end some how

  22. With such a short life cycle, things change fast. They are between 10 and 24 days. Males starting show, with interesting, strong stem rubs ranging from straight fuel, to rubber.

  24. Oh hey dude, that's actually me! Remember you lent me your quantum sensor?? I haven't ventured outside Grow Diaries for a while. Oh I see where it's confusing: "4 FIXTURES (960W*) Fits: 120cm x 120cm and up" It's supposed to be 2 statements, 4 fixtures are able to provide 960W, and 4 will fit in a 120cm x 120cm tent. - I'll delete the mention of wattage there, or add *max, what do you suggest? How about this: "SINGLE FIXTURE (240W max) Fits: 60cm | 70cm | 80cm | 90cm DUAL FIXTURES (480W max) Fits: 120cm x 60cm and up 4 FIXTURES (960W max) Fits: 120cm x 120cm - 150cm x 150cm" Likewise, I'd also not suggest 480W for a 120x60cm, 240W-300W max more like it. No I don't come from HID. The reference to 960W is merely to demonstrate the option for people using CO2 (hence why it states "max", as in it's capable of that if desired), also indicating that it can flower a larger space. Just like the 1000W fixtures from a few other big companies (Spider Farmer does 2x 1000W models actually, using two different led brands for separate price-points) I'll update the website to state as much. I never intended anyone to think that they MUST use full power! The point was to show that multiple smaller fixtures can scale more easily. I'm an 800 ppfd kind of guy myself, as I don't use CO2. I state on my PAR maps that are included in the box that over 800ppfd starts to require elevated CO2 levels beyond the regular 400ppm to fully utilise the benefit thereof (and apparently those bags and bottles are useless - Migro Shane says he tested them). And even then your temps/humidity/nutes have to be on point. I appreciate the feedback though! Let me know if anything else is confusing or crappy looking!
