@Bay Seeds Anastasia 99 autoflower. First two pics in 60% shade house planted 13/8. Next couple of pics planted 1/9. Last plant was planted 12/10. Yeah so wide range of growth time. All still healthy and pest free. Thought I was gonna have a grasshopper problem but they all seem to be congregating other side the wind break with the wild dagga. Tyre garden performing way better than the shade house. Which was expected. But our summer, boy. Let's see. Sent from my SM-A032F using Tapatalk2 points

I see just to many posting single Bio Bizz components they use.. is a fertilizer system and should be used like that. So here is my guide to Bio Bizz to use in soil (recommended soil: Freedom Farms Green Bag, Premium Classic). For Autoflower, follow the light-mix / coco mix table as good as you can, with 2 changes to be more on the save side, if you start with the fertilizer. You need 4 products for soil: Fish-Mix, Grow, Bloom and Top-Max First change to the table: Start giving Fish-Mix when you got your first 5 finger leaf growing, not before! Second change: Only start with Top-Max, when your flowers are finger thick. And no guessing how much you put into your water, be as accurate as you can be! 1ml is 1ml.. not 1.5 or 0.7.. is 1! Lets make a theory run: You start the germination process with sterile water and let them pop and grow to about 2cm root. Plant in your grow medium. As soon as the plants show their 5 finger leaf (end week 2, if slow week three), you add 2ml Fish-Mix to each liter of water you feed. (I syringe feed till they have occupied the 11 liter pot, is my max pot size for Autos) If you run feminized seeds, the time table is not for you. But till now, you did the same.. go on feeding 2ml till they reach about 100cm, go up to 3ml per liter Fish-Mix. When your plants show the first signs, that they go into flowering, swap from Fish-Mix to Grow and bloom. Autos follow the table, feminized go 2ml/2ml of each. When the flowers are easy to see by eye, I have the next shift and go 3/3 of Grow and Bloom. As soon as the flowers reach finger thickness, time to add Top-Max to the party (1ml). This is not nutrition, is a enzyme forcing flower production.. and rather expensive ^^ So easy with it. You stay on 3/3 grow and bloom per liter from now on till end, you just add 2 more stages of Top-Max depending how your flowers grow. So the final weeks you run 3 Grow, 3 Bloom, 3 Top-Max per liter of water. Every 2 weeks, put a flush day. Water the pots with pure water till you have a very good run off! Is to eliminate concentrated fertilizer pockets in the soil. If you use saucers, never ever let the plants stand in water for longer as 5 hours. Empty by hand if needed. 2 weeks before harvest you drop the Grow and Bloom.. if you feel freaky and your wallet is filled, stay on adding 2ml Top-Max only for the next 4-5 days, then pure water till the end. (I recommend a 2 day total darkness stress and no water before you cut and hang to dry.. if you haven't tried, try, curing time drops quite a bit with that method, smoke is way smoother from the start) Autoflower, you can follow that table really 1:1.. but plants not following their grow schedule you will kill. So always use your brain.. giving a not yet flowering plant bloom.. will hurt her over time. She just doesn't need the P yet in those amounts. The sole difference between Fish-Mix and Grow is that Grow is 75% Fish-Mix and 25% molasses. So when you swap from Fish to Grow, you reduce N and add sugar.. just that you understand. The additional sugar is also a way to push the plants into flowering.. what means.. do not use Grow on early Autos!!!!!! You can use Grow from time to time on your feminized in Veg state.. but I personal stick to Fish-Mix only during the growing phase. And a last little add on.. for Autoflowers I recommend to use Root Juice from Bio Bizz.. you can already dump the seeds in a glass with Root Juice mix (4ml) and also wet the paper towels with it. It improves the grow of your roots a lot.. and bigger roots mean faster grow.. Autoflower depend on being fast in the first 3 weeks or your plant will stay rather small. Is additional cost.. and not needed for Fems.. they have enough time ^^ Hope that helped.. any questions.. just ask.. and I wouldn't use Bio Bizz for Hydro... Fish-Mix has about the same smell as fresh diarrhea after a day when you let the water stand.. soil you smell nothing at all from the plants.. never used it on Coco.. so can't say. Hope that helped a little NPK ratios: Fish-Mix: 5-1-4 Grow: 4-3-6 Bloom: 2-7-4 Always give it a good shake before you use it!!!!!!!1 point

If you have root rot issues in a solo cup with holes then you are definitely overwatering. I cut 3 corners of the bottoms and only a very light watering once the cup feels light weight. Then transplant as soon as i see roots poking from the drainage holes. No problems.1 point

I've had endless root rot issues with those cups, no matter how many holes I make, I eventually bought the RapidGrow rooting pots - https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/rapidgrow-rooting-pots-with-tray/ and haven't looked back since.1 point

I wish I could share, but they are not mine. luckily got several packs for my collection but this was an amateur video production set, making a brand.1 point

Big tent is midway through flower. I am getting a good stack this time around; I think the lower nugs will be the most developed out of all the previous harvests. I am still mulling the idea of when to do the final defoliation, I am thinking soon. When looking closely I feel there is still great light penetration and wind movement past the plants at this foliage level, so every time I think about it, I decide to keep the leaves for the time being. When I look at the last picture, I feel like I'll just start with the most bottom leaves for now and give it another check then. This will be the last harvest of the year, and it's looking to be a mighty one to finish it off. For the most part I always end up eating shit in some way when I've tried flowering in December/January, whether it's budrot, mildew or an empty wallet from running an AC 24/7. I've grown now straight for three years and imma go take a break before ramping it up for probably another three years hopefully towards bigger things in the process. I'm going to setup my mother plants to be able to survive a week and a bit by themselves in December and be ready to be thoroughly chopped for a full steam ahead run starting January.1 point

Glad to report back, a decent success. Seems like the polystyrene cups with composted manure have sprouted the best. The transplanting of them was simple, and definitely no root stress.1 point

50 auto seeds in the dirt, holding thumbs we have 100% germination. I did run them in water for the first 24 hrs. Some seeds in a light compost/coir/perlite mix and some just in straight coir.1 point

And the winner is Canna Pro Amino Boost Harvest difference was very slim, 1.5g ahead of the Bio Heaven Potency difference was also very small but both times Amino Boost won. One pair had 0.2% more potency and other pair 0.7% stronger then Bio Heaven Bio Heaven is not as good as Amino Boost... but a lot more expensive... A LOT!!! Get yourself a bottle of Canna Pro Amino Boost.... those 150 rand are very well invested!! Just replace the Bio Heaven with Amino Boost and use exactly the same way. I didnt do any Ph on the full grow with FF green bag soil.1 point

I use 2ml per 10l from the first feed. Stick to 2 till flip and go 3 per 10. 4 to 6 weeks before harvest i go 4. Bloom is also back on the shelves! If your grow shop hasnt stocked yet, tell em to get some1 point

I purchased it earlier, and plan to use it as a foliar feed once or twice a week. is the dosage really 2-4 ml per 10l ? Do you mind sharing your preferred dose?1 point

so far the same.. drying the weed now and then testing.. then i can tell for sure.. but is worth the 150 bugs, that is for sure1 point

Where did you source yours from in those days? You could only really get it in small quantities in Spar/PnP etc and fairly expensive. Its the reason I started buying/selling epsoms to some garden shops in JHB and used to supply Windell/Hortishop epsoms when they first opened up in Randburg. Managed to convince them to put it in their promix soil too. It is amazing stuff that I use for many applications today.1 point

No bio heaven the clone was 14.5 and with 17.something. i cant find the tests... wrote him, if he did send them. But have the important numbers in my head. Still havent send to Qure... scraping the cash together but want the confirmation on some potency tests.. had some moisture issues with the machine, and need the terpine profile of the winning pheno. But when my outdoor beats my indoor in potency, i first do a stupid face, then going more sceptical. I have some clones in preparation to see how canna pro and bio heaven will compare. I do not like the price tag on bio heaven, is just silly expensive for the product they give highest use over all. 6ml per liter on final stage... you go through 4 liters of bio heaven, before you finish a bottle of grow with the ff table. Grow is 10% price wise per liter... is like playing a pay to win game. I really have to look for a new fertilizer.1 point

Intresting numbers. What was the THC content of the flower that has 20% less? I'm going to be trying the canna pro amnio acids as well.1 point

@The_StonedTrooper yeah I’m trying to hone in on specifically amino acids because I want my uptake of nutrients during my flower stage to be as optimal as possible. Can’t afford to get an AC and/or humidier at home so will never get my humidity down to 40-50(Cape Town) which i understand to be important as it has something to do with the process of storing moisture and thereafter affects the uptake of nutrients. I’m learning as I go so thought if I’m not providing my plants the optimal environment, I could increase its ability to uptake nutrients organically to sort of balance it out. As I was pondering on how I can achieve this I saw this product (bio-heaven) that is actually exactly, what I believe, to need for the above reasons, obviously with a whole lot more. Also I read that amino acids also help the plants with environmental stress so as it’s difficult to regulate my environment other than with an inline fan and oscillating fan think it would be an added bonus1 point
-
It also has a Humic Acid in there, and when I last used it, saw a huge difference. But now I make my soil up and cant afford the Heaven prices anymore unfortunately. Added, I put my Humic acid in my soil and fulvic acid, if that helps1 point

I'm taking a guess that @Dr. Green is using reverse osmosis water and hence the shortage? As he never did answer that question and that's my only thoughts, and experienced this myself.1 point

@Promthat bio heaven sounds as it’s name. I was reading over the product description and see that there’s plenty of emphasis on the amino acids that help the plants take up more nutrients. For those of us who can’t afford it, can a sprout seed tea be used as an alternative? Not asking whether it would be as good or effective but essentially whether it who does the same/similar job?1 point

sounds amazing! but yusi it is quite pricey... but 20% extra yield surely takes care of the input costs1 point

Ok guys... can dump all my tables.... I was rather reluctant to use bio heaven from BioBizz... just price wise. So i made a test with the pheno hunt on some clones i took. Let 2 1.2x1.2 trays compete with each other. Same mother, same soil, same water, same diodes, same fertilizer setup, except one tray got additional bio heaven. I was surprised about the result myself. The tray with bio heaven not just yielded 15 to 20% more dry buds, the potency test at canabliss showed 20% more thc content too. So yeah... is kinda worth it. I got a product, SA producer, claiming it does the same... is next test i will do. More then 10 times cheaper as Bio Heaven... If you use FF Premium, just go with the table you get at hydroponics.co.za for BioBizz. I didnt use the activera.1 point
-
I honestly think you can skip on the Acti Vera.. is just of use in coco. There is a little note on the Bio Bizz table in regard to that. 20l is small for fems and huge for autos.. for fems.. pots are never big enough ^^ I always lift the pots to see if they need water.. or i would have gone 100l long time ago. As you use Top-Max (magic, isn't it ^^) and heaven.. I would suggest to go on your next batch without epsom and acti vera.. should end same same.. just cheaper.1 point
-
The reason I went with acti vera is due to the charts hydroponic.co.za provides for biobizz with freedom farm classic1 point

I started using Epsom salt back in the day when we only had fishmix grow and bloom. I use 20 liter pots. I only did 1 run with all of the above and it worked out well my best run yet so I'll just continue don't what I'm doing for now. I do dose much lower than the feeding charts tho1 point

Nope.. never had a Mg issue on soil with Bio Bizz. Top-Max is a Ca and Mg provider too.. but my main defense are my pot sizes in combination with my compost. My fems all have 60l+ pots. So the soil buffers any shortage on Mg. And have to ask back.. as I am no soil dude ^^ Acti Vera is a enzyme for coco.. what's your reason to use it on soil? Quick internet search.. if you use Heaven.. you can skip Epsom. And both Top-Max and Heaven have Ca and Mg on their ingredient list.. other culprit to look for your Mg shortage is the water you use.1 point
-
You don't use Epsom Salt with biobizz? I used to always ge magnesium deficiency with biobizz when not using Epsom salt. I use Grow, Acti Vera, Bio Heaven, Bloom, Top Max, Kelpak, Biodyne and Epsom salt in Freedom Farm classic.1 point

I am still a bit running in circles in regards to soil. Hehehe I am no specialist on soil and all my information I got from a pro grower in the Netherlands. Strangely they all switched back to soil and I feel a bit like the black sheep these days, still having my main focus on rock wool He wasn't as detailed as my little beginner guide.. but when I asked, what fertilizer system I should use down here, he was so kind to have a look around on the internet, what you find in SA. Importing fertilizer is due to the Post Office and its delays.. not really an option.. or you keep a monstrous stock yourself ^^ I never tried Heaven.. simply as the guy simply told me: Use fish, grow, bloom and the most important Top-Max. Top-Max is a bit the product I would miss, if Bio Bizz would suddenly disappear.. rest you can pack together with other products too. Seagro I used myself before too.. the better N supplier you find in Guanoflo.. you also get it at Builders, Garden section. But still way less potent in N as Fish-Mix. SeaGro is a toy version of Fish-Mix. Using the full BioBizz range could get very expensive. So a clear warning to your wallet, if you switch. My fertilizer cost are higher as my electricity cost.. and that is a word But.. plants grow and flower very very nicely with that combo. Anything you add.. like me Root Juice.. just dents your wallet a bit more. So if you try Heaven.. ^^ please let me know. For now, I stick to the 5 I use.. 1Liter of Top-Max will cost around 600 Rand with delivery cost.. Fish and Grow should be 255 at a shop and Bloom 270...1 point
-
Really enjoyed reading this. I am one of the people you are referring to as I use the grow and bloom. I substitute the fishmix with seagro and use kelpak occasionally as a foliar. What are your thoughts on biobizz heaven? It appears to be rather popular overseas, but I never see local growers using it. Probably because of it's crazy high price tag?1 point
