  7. it is my personal recommendation that you go the diy supersoil route, as this simplifies growing to the extent where you can grow trees on only water for months on end jamie that makes orgasoil has another product elemental blend which you can toss into your soil at the end of every grow if you do start with premix bags, orga has been the mostly recommended to me but i have no experience using it as a standalone product

  8. I wouldn't trust a bag soil mix to use as water only. You will either burn your seedlings or you will need to add something at the end to boost the flower. Have a look at KIS Organics and have a read of some of their articles, you can even listen to the first few episodes of their podcast that will give you a good baseline idea of what should go into a proper super soil that truly is water only (maybe plus a compost tea or two). Point I'm making is that no real medium is going to be water only if you truly want optimal results.

  9. So does the Kushy Amino acid and it will work out cheaper. Kushy you use like 2ml - 4ml per 10L of water. Umya you use 100ml per 10L and is more expensive. Go with the Kushy, @Prom has done side by side trials with Kushy amino vs Bio-Heavan and found little to no difference. I use this for my plants and works great, however these guys are cheaper - https://gthydro.co.za/products/897-captain-black-strap-1l.html In veg you only going to use like 2ml per 1L water, feed once a week. I usually combine this with some calmag. In flower you can go up to 4ml - 5ml per 1L water, I still use it in combo with calmag here. one extra addition I would recommend if get a bottle of microbes - https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/biodyne-environoc-401-microbes/ Add some microbes in at 0.5ml per 1L water, feed once a week, this will keep introducing new microbes into the grow medium. You can stick with Seagro if you using the molasses, it will be much of a muchness. Yeah those are fine, just keep in mind that you need to stop the humic acid from 3 weeks into flower (it can bring down terpene levels if given all the way through flower). Fulvic you give a little bit in veg, but more as you progress into flower. So it's not essential, but does help. I use Kelpak - https://www.greenhouston.co.za/products/kelpak - I only use it once a week, but its heavy on application with 5ml per 1L water, so I tend to go through it rather quickly. 2 or 3 bottles might be needed over the course of the grow.

  11. If you see something weird on an isolated part of a plant. Chill. If it spreads to other parts of your plant. Dont chill.

  12. Hi guys I can't seem to make up my mind between two super soils has anyone used any of these 2 or can recommend a good quality super soil Choice #1 Choice #2

  13. You can use any of the two. I have used both with great success. Freedom farms is slow out of the gate so you would need to feed microbes to get things started in the soil. Definitely top dress when switching to flower.

  14. Thanks Evan I'm planning to supplement if needed with compost tea or top dress and definitely during flowering

  17. Autos are not that difficult to grow....its just any serious mistakes you make early will deminish yield and mistakes later will effect potency. I made 1 big mistake with my first auto grow and had ph lockout mid/late flower and couldn't get the ph to recover and still came out okish. I did exactly what Totemic suggests...everything stays on and they only sleep when loadshedding. I leave the tent open when I'm not home so humidity doesn't build up. The only potentially self inflicted issues I see a novice like myself can make is messing up is the soil you plant in, fertilizers and or ph issues. If you know the basics you will do ok. Treat your first seed or two as school fees lol...im doing this with my gifted k@k genetics auto seeds.... My Zkittlez would have turned out much better if I did this. Stay away from Bulkseeds autos

  18. also a little 12l dehu to run isnt gonna take too much in the way of battery backup. im personally in planning stage of providing energy to my grow for the 2 40w fans and 200w dehu to run for atleast the 2 or 4 hours with enough capacity to recovery to full at slow charge dont let them win work around it, outdoor is also with its issues, thinking this heat wave weve been having, pests, wind stormrain lots can go wrong you will find good info on nutes on my thread regarding it currently being discussed im using it as a platform to learn and share as well a organic guy
