  1. Been almost a year, and a couple small projects down the line... Thanks to everyone who has shown support and encouraged me to keep on doing what I do. I will be bringing my site back online in the next few months, as I work on feminized and regular releases of all my existing genetics, aswell as an auto flowering line or 2. I have also re worked my original logo, combined both the new and old into one, so all my packaging will change with any new releases.

  2. Aweh gromies. Been planning around this idea for a while now. Seems a natural evolution from a smoking carpenters' point of view. Today the creative juices were just right. The material was retained and cured from the 2022 outdoor grow. She weighs is at a miniscule 179gr. Comments and ideas are welcome.

  4. Update Week 2: The plants had to build up some resistance against the pests/goggas still left from summer. Winter coming in slowly so the high humidity is passing. Been spraying Neem Oil and Explogrow every other day to help fight the pests. Pics from this morning indicate they are wining the fight and should be hella healthy by end of week. Fed some Explogrow and Fermented Cannabis Plant extract (home made) Ready to repot soon as well.

  6. Well thanks again to all who responded with great information on this thread.I have learned a ton from all of you about soil growing outdoors,I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Hydro but I still may combine some synthetic with organic now and then. .I’m happy to say my plants;two Jack Herer, two Super Skunk and two Durban Poison are coming along nicely and some will be ready for harvest in about three weeks and some longer.I don’t think I grew these plants to anywhere near their true genetic potential but having said that I think the yield will be respectable considering my container sizes! Here’s a pic from today of the most mature of my two Jack Herer plants.

  7. Hi Everyone, new here. In desperation to replace my income, I have started an online seed store. I would really like to make contact with anyone who has done something similar, especially if you have figured out how to best tap into the international / US market. Also looking for related products to sell on my sight. So, if you are a supplier of anything cannabis related I would be more than happy to help you sell your goods. Many thanks Charl

  9. It's a bitter sweet ending, and standing at that cross roads having to decide which direction is going to best serve the next decade of my life... Totemic was really never meant to become a brand, but kind of gravitated that way. It's always been about actively opposing those laws that would criminalize me for growing, breeding, and sharing that with the community. My genetics is out there in practically every corner of the country, serving their purpose beautifully, and will echo in other strains they inspire. It really has been an awesome journey, and while I move onto other things, I'll always be growing.

  11. This is awesome news to read and many congratulations. I went to a nursery the other day which was recommended by@Stinger96 , just went to browse and see what they stock. Apart from the wonderful guy and lady that owns / works at the place, the abundance of amendments and nutrients etc I also saw a cabinet with your seeds in which could be bought right there and then. Was really refreshing to see. Keep up the good work and thanks for always sharing your knowledge.

  12. What an interesting few months it has been. The culmination of 1 year of pushing totemic as an official brand in SA, I have distributed a little over 45 000 seeds, 15 000 regulars and 30 000 feminized seeds. I feel it is important for me to share this with other local breeders not at all to flex as some are assuming, but to illustrate how big the local industry is, how big the need is, and how much of our economy is still flowing out to the international market. I feel I'm drowning and can't keep up with the market! I'm not here to compete with other local breeders. Breed your fire. Let's grow this industry together.

  13. I don't have the packaging any more. You have to snap the wood in half to get at the beans and then spend the next half an hour on your hands and knees looking for the things. I don't have any issues with growing autos and if it means you get a extra crop in then that has to be admired. I am also a fellow outdoor grower with limited space and dealing with males can be tricky, but it can be worked around. One thing is to try and stress them into showing a pre-flower, before you transplant them into their final home. If I ever have too many females then i just farm them out to friends, or neighbours. @afternoon blazer The main objection for me with autos, is the taste. Every one I have grown has had a particular taste that sort of sits at the back of my tongue and I don't enjoy it. I would politely describe it as woody. The potency is not quite there, either. The most recent ones I ran were freebies from seedsman and RQS. A diesel, white widow and critical jack. I wouldn't personally grow them again.

  14. Seed packaging is something that i'm looking at right now. To me its really about getting the seeds in the hands of the growers, so it makes little sense for me to spend a fortune on packaging, having to transfer that cost onto the consumer. But then there are those that like packaging from a collectors point of view. Practically though, packaging needs to protect the seeds from the elements, crushing, and tampering. So whats the middle ground? What packaging do you want?
