  1. Just had a buddy asking me to wash him some weed. Said he has about 600g he wants washed. He came by today, so I quickly washed it for him. Made a little video and pics.. no sound. I used 9 cans.. told him 8, was 1 off.. but always have some laying around. I forgot to start the cam for the first 2 cans till i saw it. ^^ Age is clearly kickin in ^^ You see in the clip, we smoked a joint right beside the none stick plate. Just a little air flow is enough. (First part runs 1 pic per second and second bit is 5x faster ^^) https://youtu.be/rYBb21nbr4s Bubbled out, easy to notice, nothing moves anymore ^^ This was Blueberry and some cheese.. can't remember what he said exactly. Had a few seeds in.. reason it got washed, he wants to eat it. No risk to blow yourself up And is fun to play with.. just very very sticky Put it in a bag to get taken with. To get it out is very simple, over night in the deep freeze and you can take it out the bag like a candy ^^ Is a bit much , this bag most likely gets cut when frozen to empty it. Result is 72g. If you want to use for edibles, get it tested (uses very little ^^) and then you know how to mix with the cooking oil of your choice to get the desired mg per gram. I prefer brownies over cookies ^^ Was no oven involved, so this needs to get decarbonized.. baking, on a Pizza,.. what ever you want, just needs heat and best not over 150C or you vaporize the resin into the oven On Pizza.. put the oil on AFTER you take the pizza out of the oven. Baking doesn't matter.. is in the dough. Will mix very easy with any cooking oil... this one smells like wild forest berries, very pleasant. All those little sprinkles you see with your magnifiers in a bag.

  3. Is running multiple 600w HPS ballast worth running or would it just hurt my pocket?

  4. Definitely still guys running HPS, but it's not economical at all when you factor in the amount of power you need for a backup solution with loadshedding in mind. I know of some guys running a grow club that nearly went under recently because of all the above factors. Obviously also not easy to just switch to expensive LED equivalents when you are already fully invested in the HPS and are riding on the edge of what you are able to afford. Imagine having everything necessary to grow, but no power. This applies to all industry currently. If you are a Chad with a compound, a generator and infinite money, then I don't see why not keep the HPS specifically for flower. CMH, MH and HPS are all still great technologies for growing good bud.

  5. if you wana breed you can start with anything you want, first F1 batch you gona hunt the best pheno and part of that is not selecting the one that gets pm everytime or hermies for no reason... that kinda stuff. and with each next generation you select the one with the most resistance. when people get into stabilising a genetic you have to torture test them every now and then, the one that remains the closest to what you looking for is the one you breed with, this way you select for resistance each time. but for someone that just wants an easier time at growing in SA, it would be suggested to start off with local genetics as they have already done the breeding and selecting, well.... locally... so the genetics carried in their strains are obviously already more adapted and acustomed to our local environment in terms of wind, heat, frost, indigenous fungal spores, pathogens and pests... all that stuff. on the other hand someone who's just starting out I wouldn't suggest breeding right away from the first grow and then also I would say go for any genetics, because you're going to have to familiarize yourself with an religious IPM regime either way. at some point, same as all of us, everythings gona be 100% one day an the next day your plant is covered in PM or RSM... not enough regret in the world to explain loosing a whole crop to skipping one simple IPM day... trust me brother, IPM is a must must MUST. so going for local genetics as a way to get around that would be to shoot yourself in the foot. at least you could do with local genetics is still make yourself used to do one spray a week during veg. every week.

  6. Definitely gona hurt your pocket. My previous setup was a 2.4 x 1.2 tent with 2x600w digital ballasts. It hurt bad. Although hid is cheaper upfront, it's not worth it run cost wise. Its does come in handy during winter to generate heat.
