  1. Getting there. Burnt a few plants during my first h2o2 wash. Lesson learnt. High humidity and mould seem to be the challenge at the moment but I think I got a handle on it. DIY drying box using some chicken wire.

  2. Finally in a position to grow with full focus, and with winter around the corner the time is right. Growing my seeds that I won from this forum growoff 2021. Black Domina is the strain, from Green Smoke Room Seeds.

  3. I partnered up with a friend a couple years ago to start our breeding journey. While we'd both played around with some pollen chucking, with Loud Chasers we wanted to do things properly. So far we're about 2 years into the work, but we wanted to make sure we created something we felt was truly our own before selecting a male to work with for when we hit our keepers and dig into the progeny. We started the process by hitting a few of our best females with a gassy lemon OG male that had some of the most potent sisters we've come across. We then ran through about 50 beans from the resulting crosses and made two selections to take further. One was a very special Sour Power OG cut and the other Death Row, a CSI:Humboldt strain that has Black Death in it, a lesser known cuf from Bodhi. It is a selection of Sterling Skunk. Above: Death Row x Champawat #8 We then ran these two select cuts several times to get an idea of how they express in different environments. I'm now in the process of crossing another OG dominant male into the mix. I want to retain the dark hues and stank of the Death Row #8 we ended up keeping, but also add some pure OG fuel in. I don't mind doing a bit of an incross here to strengthen the OG traits. Above: Sour Power OG (CapeTownLoud Cut) In the other (SPxCH) selection we made, we're also looking to add some of the resin that the Race Fuel line tended to exhibit. We're still a good while out of our final crosses for release and stuff, but at least at this point we're quite far into finding something that feels ours. Hopefully we'll have our final stud selected in the 6 months or so.

  4. Chernobyl clones switched to flower. Transplanted 2x Atlas - Papa Smurf, and 2x Renegade - Tooth Fairy clones. 4 males in a row out of the fem search so far, darn.

  5. North coast also pretty humid with 2 days rain (still raining). Permanently running a oscillating pedestal fan to provide indirect air movement in our dryingroom/garage. It helps a lot.

  6. Things are happening now. The soil I repotted into is very old (5+ years) organic soil that has been reused each grow. Gave a healthy dose of Atami Bcuzz Growth to get them to this level of health so quick. It's imported but well worth every cent.

  8. Other half of the job done. Added some crushed egg shells into the mix that were laying close by in the sun. Hopefully they both get life within the next week or two.

  9. Was out of town for 12 days. Happy the plants are alive, they seem stunted however. Spraying some FPJ now and then to help em along. Doing a repot on each, halfway through the job I called it a day, mixed the bag with real good compost.

  11. Absolutely smaaak doing this with top branches. I tuck the new growth parts under the stronger older leaves below. This opens the canopy for an hour or two, with the added benefits of giving the plant a very low stress training. iGrowDagga's loving this grow, full love and attention is possible and it shows.

  12. The smaller plant decided to fill out sooner. Just a quick update.

  13. Entering week 5; Gaining good size now. Topped the head off them yesterday. Just a good ol pinch. Almost time for a repot into final pot. Will be making clones as soon as there is branches that show readiness.

  14. @SkunkPharm Occasionally I like to put bagseed into my soil to see if the seeds sprout. In this case it is a mutant twin seed that comes out of purple dream buds. This indicates to me if the soil is still good and all. Usually I repot them and leave them outside to do what they wish.

  16. Week 4: Spraying explogrow and Epsom salt about 2-3 times a day. Raised the LED all the way up in tent so these plants needs to start stretching.

  17. Week 3: Repotted the pot today. Each in @mantis grow bags that I got off seed4africa a while back. No pics of roots regrettably, the one had no roots at the edges of soil, was in more of a moisture high soil. The other one had a big looping root system at the bottom, this one contained more loose sand from the garden. Lesson learnt, seedlings really want loose dry soil. They coming along however seem to be stunted, going to spray Epsom tomorrow.

  18. Hottentotsgot stopped by. Been living in the tent for 24h, extremely grateful to mother nature for sending a helping hand. Video here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CpLSWCnP-nH/?igshid=NmE0MzVhZDY=

  19. Update Week 2: The plants had to build up some resistance against the pests/goggas still left from summer. Winter coming in slowly so the high humidity is passing. Been spraying Neem Oil and Explogrow every other day to help fight the pests. Pics from this morning indicate they are wining the fight and should be hella healthy by end of week. Fed some Explogrow and Fermented Cannabis Plant extract (home made) Ready to repot soon as well.

  20. Text Update for this week: The soil I'm using is from my outdoor greenhouse which is a mixture of a bunch of organic matter. Has high ratio of horse manure and wood-chipping soaked in their wee. Did not think the seeds would sprout to be honest, in the past I had 100% damp off die when using outdoor soil. My norm is to buy new soil just to get them big enough for wild compost and all. - Dropped the light, raised the pots and started spraying explogrow (it was left-over in the spraycan) mixed with neem oil. There is another seed just just climbing out of soil as well.

  22. Soaked in explogrow for 24h Germ success: lost 1 seed on the floor, 2 never popped, one died off with "dampening off". We have 2x strong germinated contenders to continue this diary.
