I have flipped the tent and trimmed the branches in preparation for the stretch and preflower phase. I have also put the pots into the autopot trays and have activated the reservoir. I feel there is little doubt now that the roots are well established, much more so than done previously. Canopy is also looking level. I've tried my best to LST the major branches to all be on the same level. Some plants have stretched more than others already, but I think I've managed to control the most of it. From the atrocious past run this is already looking much better. I was worried big tents were just cursed. Otherwise in another tent I already have some more ZxP on the way, looking scrumptious. I have the harvest date set for 11 May. Will take some trichome pics on the day.4 points

So the smoke report is top. Very earthy, nice change after all the candy and fruits I’ve grown lately. Got a buddy who is obsessed with it. Looking for more seeds like a madman. Seeing his reaction I was thinking of enter ring it in the stonedolympics homegrown comp. Actually never been, anyone with experience? Ended with about 80g of top nugs and did a (poorly) bubble hash run with the trim and popcorn, with some other trim and stuff as well. My drying area was off as well, 24 °C and around 75% hum, so after 2 weeks and still no snap I stuck them in open terploc bags in the fridge, seemed to work. Had a humidity meter and got them closed and steady at 64-62. Lucky to not get any mold as the area is very well ventilated Bud shots up soon. I recently came across an article about THCA carts and their legal status, and I wanted to get your thoughts on it. According to this post, THCA carts are considered federally illegal, but I've noticed them being sold at some stores near me, which left me quite puzzled. I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on this topic. Is this information accurate? How are these stores able to sell THCA carts if they're federally illegal? Are there any loopholes or state-specific regulations that allow them to do so? I'd appreciate any input you might have on this subject, as I'm trying to stay informed and make responsible choices when it comes to cannabis consumption.1 point

It’s my understanding that thca is the acid form of thc as fresh on the plant. Once heated it decarboxolates and becomes thc. Thus the need to smoke/vape etc. for the heat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Maybe ask on an American forum. We don't live in a federal government system, this is South Africa. We also don't have states, we have provinces. THCA is regulated the same way any other cannabis product is in South Africa. It is illegal to sell and trade*. (Real world results may vary.) It is legal in certain USA states because THCA is not a recognized compound according to the federal law on cannabis and this is why certain states in America may freely sell it.1 point

Has nothing to do with THCa... like any store selling weed, they are pushing their luck as there is no law to make it legal.. yet. If you piss off the cops.. they will still take you out. Lay low and don't make to much noise ^^ and the cops should leave you alone. Ever tried THCa? ^^ is a proper hit hehehe I would rate it a lot more brain 'humping' as THC.. so would surprise me if that is not regulated in a later stage. We still wait for legalization. 2020 they gave them self till latest 2023 to implement the personal use of canabis law (should have been done 2020 already). And me for my part will sue the ANC end 2023, if they didn't do the job again. I hope others will join me1 point

We grow outdoors technically, but still use lights for various reasons. Currently have 3x light fixtures, 20w led for germinated seeds, 48w led strips for the clones and 2x100w led for outdoor veg.(daylight extension during winter) It requires some maneuvering during loadshedding to manage the manual timers. The 2x smaller lights are paired with (auto on) loadshedding lights. Switch them off after loadshedding, would love to automate this. (running for a year now) The 100w(will only run 4hrs/day) will be connected to the 5k solar inverter system. Which should create a bit more autonomy, seeing as this loadshedding shit is going to get worse.1 point

I still pump them at stage 6, no inverter no battaries no generator. but I am pushing my luck. If I'm home I open the tents, but keep the wendy dark, luckily the wendy breathes so RH only sky rockets with rainy naturally high RH times. though my IPM i do like it's my religion, I skip church, use the hour to spray my whoooooole garden, tents and outdoors even ornamental stuff, literally everything on my property gets sprayed, helps a ton with PM and pest pressure. light cycle.... whole different topic. but the results show in my plants. also helps that I have 1mx1m tents that can stand open and passively let RH out, where as with bigger tents you'll have to run a fan somehow. anything more than stage 6 I think I'll just veg indoors and finish outdoors.1 point

SA really stuck in the early 2000's when it comes to basic R&D. I just think it's a tiny loophole, cause our "leaders" are too klip dom to know what thca is and they're too lazy to do anything out of their own to research cannabis for the bennefit of the people. they want money to go directly into their pockets so they focus on that doesn't help anyone besides themselves.1 point

@Sticks@Sticks R2500 each, although these must go. So if you're interested drop me a PM and make me an offer, be it for one or all of them. All are brand new and unused, gathering dust in my garage.1 point

Think I've beaten the worst of the early blight. Here's hoping it doesn't make a comeback anytime soon. Just finished up some LST on the plants. I would like a flat canopy as much as possible. Some plants are showing more stretch than others so some additional attention will be required to keep everything gucci. I am still watering from the top for the meantime. I want no doubt that the roots are well established before switching to the reservoir and bottom feeding. At that point I will also activate the air pump for the airdomes in the pots.1 point

So after that mess, I decided to go back to basics and do a few new strains in one tent (1.2x1.2) using fabric pots and Organics Matter Living Soil along with the bunch of BioBizz nutes I still have lying around and another tent (1.2x1.2) of ZxP with fabric pots, coco perlite and TA salt nutes. Hand watered throughout the grow. The new strains are Radical Juice and Zombie Bride, both by Ripper Seeds. They are well into flower and maybe have just a few more weeks left to finish up. I've made some cuttings of two of the new phenos for the immediate next run just based on how they grew and the terpenes they are promoting. I will select the next on how these smoke after cure. Immortal ZxP - 1.2x1.2 - coco/perlite - fabric pots - TA salt nutes Classic, the standard. Too many fans to switch this one out. Radical Juice #1 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes The colours are amazing. Smells of earthy diesel. I wonder how the terpenes will be after cure. Radical Juice #2 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Bushy and a yielder. Will probably harvest a good amount from this plant. Zombie Bride #1 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Nice bulbous buds. Keen to see the last push on this. Going to give this one another run. Zombie Bride #2 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Slight light burn on the top corner. Moved it a away from the light as soon as I saw it. Otherwise good looking pheno. Zombie Bride #3 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes The shortest of the plants, but damn the terpenes are amazing. Very sweet desert gelato terpenes. Decided to try give this one another run.1 point

@Sticks I don't mean to answer for the guy, but it's pretty clear what he is saying. By possibilty of one person buying all 4 he will look at working a discount on the total. Indicating that the 2500 is not the total of all 4. I really doubt anyone is gona sell 4 x 120w qbs for only 2500 and then give discount too he also mentions that they're brand new... the discount will come in when you take all 4. alternatively if it was 2500 for all 4 then a single would cost 625, which would then be his selling point, though you probably only gona get a flood light for that price. these lights cost a little more than normal lights. with all that said I might still be wrong1 point
